For Balestier Road , Zhongshan Mall is nicely build. Not heavy in human traffic. There are NTUC finest on 2nd floor which sold various daily necessity as in a SuperMarket. You can find Food, kitchen utensil, Battery, instant noodle, fruits, and many more.
At 1st floor you can eat at various food store, stalls and mini restaurant. Enjoy

Noodle Thai Thai Kitchen at Zhongshan mall is good, I would recommend that. Plenty of seats as compare to MacDonald. Don’t go to the food court as the pricing there is overhyped and the taste is so-so. The Fairprice supermarket is the best I have seen. Wide space for trolley to move around and plenty of variety.

Horrible place, foodcourt extraordinary expensive, they give u free carpark to mark up in food price! Nothing exciting to shop there, no sales, no closed outs & not the best NTUC! Never pay for car park here, too small a mall to go! Boon keng mall has more to offer!

Checked the website for free shuttle bus service from Whampoa to Zhongshan mall. Website updated said schedule changed every 20 mins but never said the service has been suspended. Call the hotline and the cust care officer who answered the call was rude. ‘Hello’. Not even greet you. When ask the shuttle still have, she just answered ‘no more’.

This Amazing mall is intimate in scale. The best part of the mall is this garderness imposed in the centre of the development where old bodhi trees sit. The mall is oriented to celebrate historically temporary residence of Chinese modern hero SunYat Seng. Historians are puzzle how this residence was significant because SUN did most of his offshore fund raising in Penang and was asked to leave when he tried to establish Singapore as his Base. Great mall design nevertheless features great food and supermarket. The architect resembles Asian like (more Japanese actually) architectonics.

Nothing much here. NTUC Finest on level 2. Foodcourt prices are more expensive than your typical foodcourts. Zhongshan Park opposite Burmese Buddhist Temple is great though.

I am only there to do groceries at Fairprice. A good place to go because is not so crowded on a week day afternoon. Only regret is the vegetables are pretty expensive as they come in big packets. Free parking if purchased above $50 but a little inconvenient cos you have to bring your groceries to the security post for redemption if you are alone. Owing to the virus situation, there are only 2 entrances and exits at the Mall

One of the main good thing about this mall is that the NTUC is located over the whole span of the third floor. Although it’s quite small, it’s flanked by hotels. Furthermore, there are some restaurants catering to foreigners or those who like a more luxurious environment to eat, a food court, McDonald’s and also Starbucks. There is a dental center, tuitions, and many more places to visit. The place has a nice and cool environment and its quite cosy.

It’s more of a neighbourhood mall with a NTUC Finess as anchor tenant (please bring your own grocery cart or shopping bag if you do not want to pay 20 cents for plastic bags). A few food outlets and a pathetic food court which did not look like all stalls are open for business. The service at the McDonald’s there is not friendly at all! I’m glad there’s a Hock Hua there. Have yet to test the quality of food and service at the other outlets in the mall. Hopefully they do better. There are also Toast Box, bubble tea shop, pharmacy and clinics.

Stacksz is a real find in Singapore. The eatery might be small and tucked away next to McDonald’s at Zhongsan Mall, but it packs a mighty punch in tasty pancakes. We stayed in the Ramada adjacent to the Mall, so it was a pleasant convenient place for a pancake breakfast, which set us up for most of the day. I contacted them on FB to ask what time they would open the next day as we had a flight to catch, the owner came in early to open up for us! I can’t praise these pancakes enough; I haven’t had such great pancakes (light and fluffy) since Florida about 10 years ago. Served with maple butter. Yum.

Small nondescript mall at Ramada Hotel. Quite a few eateries at Level 1. Worth mentioning is Stackz cafe, which has a variety of breakfast and set lunch offerings. With Entertainer app 1-for-1, the mains are value for money. Buffalo wings and pancake desserts are good. Enjoyed the blueberry pancakes. Pasta can be given a miss, especially the pesto pasta, which were quite plain and not so well flavoured as if straight out of a bottle of pesto sauce. Coffee prices are reasonable so you can bear with the average roast quality of the coffee beans. Best to reserve a table if you have more than 2 persons.

Toy like temperature sensor deployed in a multi million mall. I was at the mall last night to visit a clinic because I’ve got headache n a little fever. The doctor took my temperature and told me my temperature is 37.5 deg. As I told him I also had been peeing almost every hour,he asked me to do a urine test in which I have to use the mall’s toilet. Before gg into the mall I was scanned with toy-like sensor, the reading was 36.6 deg. Imagine that was abt 1.0 deg below my actual body temperature. When came home, I told my family members, my son told me when he was there earlier that day, the scanner didn’t register any reading. The staff there told him that his temperature was to low. How can a living walking person have temperature too low for an officially certified scanner unable to scan body temperature???. Imagine if every mall n shopping center were to deploy such scanner, I am not surprised anyone sick or not would b able to enter. I wonder if there is any government body controlling the use, calibration n certification of such devices to b used to the public. Otherwise, home is still the safest place. To those who really want to go into malls for shopping. Good luck!.

A supermarket NTUC finest selling quality products. Most importantly, it’s beside 2 hotels Ramada and Days separated by a quiet little park.
On weekends, there may be events such as a mini concert at the park.

Not a mall for shopping but rather for food and to pick up supplies. There is almost always parking which is a plus. Parking rates are usually free for first hour. Food options there include thai express, bread talk, toast box, gong cha etc. There is a very nice NTUC Finest there, very neatly organized mart and not crowded during weekdays.

Free parking for 2 hours with $50 spent, this is very good for me as I get my groceries and meal at the mall, and the car park is conveniently accessible via the travelator, with trolley return at various places inside the car park. I see lots of families with young children came here, probably they find it very convenient too with so much services under one roof.

Ground floor offers cosy casual eateries: 2 Thai restaurants (I prefer the outlet beside hair salon, they serve good Khao Soi & nice set lunches ard $12), McDonald’s here has outdoor seating facing Zhongshan park, very breezy. Toast Box +Bread talk for kopi fix.

Nearby: Do drop by the small Sun Yat Sen museum behind this mall, its a charming old villa with a cosy garden.

That’s more than enough time to grab groceries from Fairprice Finest, which has the best prices, variety, and quality of all the supermarkets in the area (Cold Storage at United Square/Velocity, NTUC at Square 2 or Cambridge Rd). A small mall with a few shops and an NTUC Fairprice. A very boring place! There’s a Crystal Jade Steamboat restaurant but the standard of food there has gone down. Was there a few months back for a birthday dinner. The meat served didn’t taste fresh and the texture was off. They also do not top up the specific soup that you originally order. For example, I ordered a herbal soup, but they only have chicken soup or spicy soup for top-ups, so my herbal soup base would eventually become chicken soup. That was the last time I’m eating there.
Now I just stick to Jpot when I’m craving for steamboat. At least the quality of the various types of meat is consistently fresh and good.

This mall has been around at Balestier for more than 5 years. It was deserted in the beginning. Now with a sizable NTUC occupying the whole second level, a food court and several eataries, it’s beginning to draw crowds. However, a pity that the Mediterranean restaurant, Pistachio has moved off to Wheelock place due to lack of space. This mall is linked to Ramada Hotel and Days Hotel as such it is mainly there to serve the people staying at the two hotels and probably the neighbourhood. There is a good medical clinic operated by a very good doctor who comes from a major private hospital. Apart from that, to be fair the mall has nothing much to offer that is of any different from other small neighbourhood malls. Hair salon, a few cafes, subway, money changer, 7 eleven, these are basically to cater to the tourist at the hotel. There is a pre-school up on the office block which is attached to the mall. Nothing much to say about this mall. Except if you live nearby and want to see a good doctor, well, i highly recommend Livewell Family Clinic operated by Dr Chong. He has the skills for almost any emergency condition or flu or other illnesses as he was from A&E before.
