Being the nearest coffee shop in my office, we usually eat lunch here. The food are nice but mostly i buy the fried beehon and i pair it with steam bun and iced bandung!

In terms of cleanliness, it’s an old coffee shop so i believe that maintaining it is a bit of a challenge.

A hidden gem. I didnt know this place is popular until I read reviews in Google. Numerous good reviews on the fish soup, so I had that. Long queue. Wouldnt say it’s a must try. Standard is good though. But if u r in the west, don’t think u want to travel all the way down just for this. The China cold dishes store has a wide variety of options. The 豆腐脑 (bean curd pudding) is interesting. Most places sell this as a dessert ie sweet. This is salty, with preserved vegetables etc. The chicken rice is also popular. Portion is big.

This place caters to the factory workers around the Defu Ind estate so its really no frills. But there’s a Q for the fish soup so maybe its good? Head over to the Thai Kuay Chap stall for pig’s trotter rice. Its a steal at $5 with egg & mui chye. Tasty too. U can also order Thai fried bean curd & mango salad. All are good size portions & good for sharing. Will try the other stalls soon.

A foodcourt in the Defu light industrial area. Arrived around 8pm for dinner on a Saturday nite. Still having a good range of choice despite time & location. Ordered $6 thai pineapple fried rice set that includes a small place of salad &Tom yam soup from Kim Ho Thai Food. The portion is still ok to me and the meal is delicious. Order to receive food waiting time is about 5 mins. In conclusion, given the chance I would return to try on other food from the store.

Food court has good varieties of stalls. Most famous is the fish soup at the corner.chicken rice look good too. Both have the usual long queue. Parking is just next to the food court. Evening here is like a beer garden with many regulars having their daily beers
They employed enough cleaners to clean and clear the tables so this is a plus point. Coffee and tea are good too

    Update jun2021
Their tea and coffee are getting better. Have bought back during covid restrictions and i like their tea. The packet tea when pour into a maison cup, fill up almost the whole cup. Some other coffee shops i bought the tea from dont even fill 3/4 of the maison cup. So yes recommended to buy packet tea and coffee from this place

In the evening only the seafood zichar stall and indian stall are open

    Friendly people with decent food.

A teh O peng costs $1.10 here, as compared to $1.30 at most places.
