I’m a big fan of ya kun and I usually enjoy their drinks and snacks. Today, my kids wanted the cheesy balls but we were completely disappointed. Don’t order them, they were totally empty. No cheese at all. Tasteless

Legendary And Consistent Kaya Toast Chain In Singapore! You’ll find one literally in every corner of Singapore but get the same quality. Their brown toast is grilled to perfection with generous butter and kaya. Their kopi is served fresh and piping hot. This outlet has ample seats but the kitchen is a bit small so you might need to wait a but for your toast. The staff can be a bit hectic during peak hours but it adds to the experience of a neighbourhood coffee shop despite being inside a mall.

Generally good place where one can have local coffee, tea, as well as a traditional Singaporean breakfast. The service is prompt and the quality is consistent across the outlets they have in Singapore. The staff seem to be happy at their job as well, which is a bonus.

The bread came cold, the kaya and butter wasnt hot or melting when served. The eggs were not properly boiled and the tea was very saturated. The staff though, had a good attitude. Their service was great but the food served couldnt be covered with their good service. I hope this would be fixed and made to be better.

Busy on a weekend with seats all occupied. Service is fast though and I didn’t have to queue for long. Nice soft steamed toast, soft boiled eggs, teh and kopi.

Chairs were very close together so it’s difficult to move or sit. Lots of people waiting for seats so it’s not a good place to chill for long. I think the whole idea of the setup is to get you to leave as soon as you finish.

I generally like Ya Kun Toast but cashier here is really unfriendly and the toast took longer than at other outlets, even though they weren’t that busy. They got all my toast orders wrong so I had to wait AGAIN. Oh, and the butter slices are SUPER thin. Gonna avoid this outlet in future.

Had breakfast here this morning — French Toast with Kaya jam at the side and Kopi C. The coffee is superb, aromatic and thick Nanyang style but mixed with evaporated milk. I love it. The French Thick Toast is coated with a generous amount of beaten eggs and nicely toasted till golden brown. Its so yummy eaten on its own or slightly dipped in the kaya jam provided at the side. A comfortable place for breakfast — nice food & coffee and its not too crowded. Strongly recommended for breakfast.

There’re a few places in plaza sing offering traditional kaya toast, but I must say that I love Yakun most. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I have witnessed greetings amongst customers, not simply welcome and thank you, but with genuine laughters and smiles. While customers wait for an available table, social distancing is observed and kindly reminded to customers. The vibes here on a weekend is good, customers around me are chatty and happy, even bid staffs good byes and “see you again”. Tables are cleaned immediately after customers leave, which I am so happy about. The location is also well ventilated. Food is great, offers authentic local snacks, such as cream crackers and steamed bread in kaya/butter, other than original toast. Coffee is served fresh too. Ahhh…, so many good things about here. Must visit again and again and again…
