just tried 2 new dishes from xin wang today! had their seafood udon hotpot which felt like comfort food and the soup was steaming hot, plus tasted nice with all the prawns, pork slices, vege, mushroom, corn, etc.. their new egg pork chop rice was also yummy! will certainly be back for more! =D
Price is reasonable in the range of single to lower end of double digit. Food is good for the price. The Yang chow fried rice was reasonable good with 3 rather big sized prawns. The chicken spaghetti was nice according to my gal (better than the one at the other branch near to jitsun mall). The tofu we thought was somewhat off, as the tofu didn’t seem braised but we’re fried and then a watery sauce poured on it. There were little mushrooms and the while mushrooms looked more like they were boiled and added on as toppings. We checked with the staff and the staff said that was how it was cooked. They did offer a change of item, but we declined as the tofu was basically ok, just that the method of cooking did not look braised and it didn’t look like the picture in the menu. Otherwise, the place ambience was nice, new and clean, and has a family restaurant touch. Suitable for small group gathering. Friendly staff. Menu has a good variety, good when the adults wants Chinese but the kids wants spaghetti. We didn’t order drinks, we ordered 4 dishes and the bill came up to $40+ after 15% off with credit card promo.

Do not order the lotus rice. This is supposed to be a steamed dish but when it came it looks like it was microwaved before it was served. Everything on the surface was dry and the leaves was dried up as well.

Amazing customer service. We thought we ordered chicken chop with creamy spaghetti, but we were served black pepper spaghetti. We asked whether it was served wrongly, because the black pepper is too spicy for our young children, and the manager got the kitchen to cook an extra serving of creamy spaghetti for us. Many yummy dishes at affordable prices, our favourites are olive fried rice with pork chop (very tender pork), papaya beehoon with chicken (my kids love the chicken, I love the soup). Fried beef hor fun tasty and has wok hei. Price range is sgd10 to sgd15 per main dish. Drinks are slightly pricey but in recent years bubble tea has gotten really expensive, so in comparison xw drinks are alright. Soy milk is sweet, which is to my liking. Water is chargeable at 50c but refillable. Mango pomelo with ice cream is delicious, almost every table orders one to share. Very spacious and clean, service staff are good. No queue on children’s day at 5pm despite it being Friday night. Park near the carpark entrance gantries and take the lift up to level 2, this outlet is very near the lift lobby (next to thai express and toilets). We’ll definitely be back to this outlet and often.

We come here regularly for dinner due to consistently great food at good prices (the latest hotpot deal is delicious). But today Wai Kin’s service was exceptional! She was friendly, fast, and attentive. We watched her do everything from run the front counter, to serving tables, to clearing dishes. She was attentive to every detail, down to making sure that the ‘wet floor’ sign was put up right after a spill was mopped, to ensure that customers don’t slip and fall. Great job, hope the team keeps it up!

We had a wonderful dinner, with the fragrant fried rice, prawn paste chicken, beef, Kai Lan vegetables. Generally, the food is tasty. We simply love the pomelo sago dessert, and it is a huge portion to us, even we are sharing for a total of three persons. Value for money.

Hive had Xin Wang HK cafe food before and this is one of the worst places. Do NOT ever order the beef noodles, it’s so dry I stopped eating. The other food were not fantastic, the service wasn’t the best. We went to get our own sauces and chillies.

It was a lazy afternoon lunch with friends however this place requires you to be always seeking attention from the servers – either they forgot to give you the needed utensils or sauce. We also had to remind them on our orders. The beef brisket noodles which suppose to be a recommended dish is quite average in taste. The Tim sum is not worth your tummy space.

Foods are ok, the papaya bee hoon is all time favourite. Staffs here are neutral, entered the restaurant at 9pm and I felt I was rush through the entire meal by the staffs (including the manager) constantly coming over to remind us on the amount of time that we left with. To be fair there are few other tables occupied too at that time. Not quite a pleasant experience after all.

Comfort food that serve as reminders of our HK trips. The luncheon meat sandwich may sound like it isn’t much, but I assure you, it’s good! Also, the prawn paste chicken is deboned, so you get big chunks of meat!

Came on a Sunday afternoon 1500h and wasn’t crowded. Tried Macau fried noodle with pork chop. The noodle is basically instant noodle fried in ketchup with imitation crab meat…. not to my taste. What made it better was the french toast with ice cream which is quite good. The Ying Yong snow ice (like ice kachang) is quite huge making too easy for a brain freeze.

Sorry to say, waste of calories. The prawn paste chicken wings were not fresh and smelled weird, and their cheese pork bake rice was bland.
The good thing about this restaurant is that the queue is short during peak hours and we spent sgd25 per pax yesterday night for a meal.
Will not come again.
It will be greatly appreciated if the Crispy Chicken will be re-introduced back into the new menu!

A pretty quiet branch, not much crowd when I visited this branch on a weekend afternoon. Service was Ok, but can be better. Quality of food can be improved, hope to see more new menu.
…. Difficult to get services when you are ready to order…. Should have DIY ordering system instead of paper based…. The so called “Thick Sliced Toast” is just an ordinary piece of gardenia bread with sides cut off…. The tea and coffee is NOT Hong Kong Cafe standard … Better off drinking at the market offer stall and way cheaper…. They fresh Soya Bean drink is actually Vitasoy….
IMHO… The staff are trying hard… The system and process + the food and drinks… is not helping them…. This food establishment used to be a lot better… Please satisfy what the customer want, not what the chef wishes to put forth at his fancy…. F&B is an overall experience, not that 1 or 2 dishes you think you do well in… And if drinks are not great…. Forget about competing in this Industry.

I celebrated a friend’s birthday there. Brightly lit ambience and wallet friendly menu.
Utensils were wrapped in plastic bags for hygiene purpose. Kudos for this move!
Ordered the usual steamed har kow, siew mai, beancurd rolls, curry chicken fun cheong, which my friend liked very much and claypot shrimp glass noodle to make it a full meal.
For desserts we went for yin yueng which is HK style coffee and tea mixed. My friend had her papaya, white fungus nutritious concoction.
Great place to entertain guests. I will return for other items.
The place is so crowded and the walk way been obstruction by phone users.
Excellent service with free popcorn. New menu was really good as well. There were 4 groups of people in front of us but we waiting only for a while. Ate mostly dim sums and of course not to miss their papaya beehoon. Their HK milk tea is da best! Will come back to try other foods in the menu!
Waitress (Wai Kin) is very helpful, she is quick to help us to change the order.
Not sure why ratings are so low – I had a good experience. Probably dependent on the type of food ordered. Had the Signature Wanton Mee, Curry chicken, Fried Red Bean Pancake, Honey French Toast. All were very well done, especially fried red bean pancake. It was chewy with a crispy fried layer of skin, good type of food to pair with their signature milk tea (which is similar to teh tarik; but well done, less sweet)

The service was good, but the food might need to improve (as because I ordered their creamy mushroom pasta and the pasta sauce taste really sour), but other than the pasta, the fried rice and the drinks (macadamia tea) taste great!

Came on a Thursday morning with my parents and my son, unfortunately it was a poor experiende due to the slow serving of food even though the place was so empty. Ordered 2 rice dishes, 2 porridge, 1 siew mai and 1 prawn paste chicken at 11.30am. By 12pm the prawn paste chicken and siew mai were still not served and we already finished our rice. After checking 3 times, prawn paste chicken finally arrived but 3 out of 6 pieces were a bit burnt. We canceled the siew mai because its just too lame to eat it after finishing all the mains.
The restaurant should just put up a sign to say that they are only doing delivery orders because while we were waiting, they managed to take out delivery food every 5 minutes. Meanwhile actual customers waiting in the restaurant were just made to wait. Will NOT return for the bland food and slow service.
Affordable fare of food but its not tasty at all
They replaced my fried noodles to fried kway teow straight away when feedback of hair. Unfortunately, the replacement is too oily to be consumed. Left behind quite a portion of kway teow

Had a wonderful dinner here at around 9pm. The services are really good. I’m so surprised that the staff immediately get me another pair of chopsticks when I dropped mine accidentally. Ordered a hotpot to share with family. First time trying this kind of hotpot that cooked in thick sauce instead of soul base. Very interesting and it’s delicious! The staff provide us a big bowl of soup to add into the pot to prevent the sauce get dry up. And ask us whether do we need more more soup when they are already closing. Everyone there are kind and nice, they waited for us to finish the food without chasing us. Have an enjoyable time there. Will definitely recommend there.

Just had my dinner with a friend at Xin Wang HK cafe at AMK hub, the foods are great.
But I’m writing to compliment the staff service, staffs are super friendly & approachable especially
Ms. Wai Kin, the restaurant was crowded and she was obviously extremely busy, yet she never forget to maintain her good attitude and service, she responded promptly to our requests.
Knowing it was my birthday, she even gave me an ice cream toast as birthday cake and offering help to take pictures for us.
Thank you Ms Wai Kin.
Highly recommended this restaurant and definitely will go there frequently.
