Nice place to buy anything for camera needs
The best place in SG to process/scan/buy film. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Developing and scanning film costs $12 for colour film (C-41) and $17 for B&W films. They also sell a decent variety of B&W and colour negative films at a lower price than most other places. They also give you a $1 off voucher for your next film processing for every roll of film you buy

Not a pleasant experience at all. Would not have came here if our fav shop was closed on weekends & we needed our pic urgently. Not sure if it’s the same uncle who earned all the raves in previous reviews but the attitude of the uncle who took my child’s passport was very off-putting.
Before the take, he declared that he would not take my child’s photo if he cries. Ok..we accepted it. Barely a min, my 3 y/o smiled (which was a natural thing to do). The uncle kept saying “u still wanna take? If he’s like that, I’m not gonna take cos there’s a lot of people waiting for me.”. C’mon! There was only 2 ladies who just walked in. Only 1 of them was going to take her passport pic.
In the end, we did not see the end photo that we paid for (don’t even need to talk about choosing). The uncle curtly said he would email us an hour later. The 2 stars I gave – was for punctuality. Enough said.
I tried this place because they were the only lab open on the Monday CNY holiday, and I’m so glad I did! The owner is absolutely lovely. He developed, scanned and printed a roll of 120 film for me in under an hour. The scans are so much better than the place I usually use, and better than I can do at home. Very reasonably priced, especially for film! I will be making the effort to come here in future. Highly recommended!

I came to this place just because of so many good reviews on google. This place is good for students or amateurs. If you are professionals or do serious works, go to somewhere else. Or merely buy the film rolls since they sell a few cents cheaper than other places. The only thing I’m satisfied with this place is the film development. The rest of the services are really below average. I guess that’s because Uncle has many customers to serve with limited resources. Uncle won’t bother to speak extra few words to answer your questions, sometimes becomes impatient because the biz is good good nowadays with film comeback. If you go there and see the way they handle your developed films it is simply horrendous. They stack hundreds of developed rolls in an open space with flying dusts and when they move them they don’t pay any precaution whatsoever and they look like tangled long hairs or a bunch of trash. I got multiple rolls with irreparable scratches, dusts and hairs. Scanning wise, again it’s for amateurs. You don’t get a great result since the file size is compressed and they scan all types of films with default settings without making any additional adjustments. If you have to scan, please only choose the color scanning. Black and White scanning is definitely not recommended.
My first time developing my disposable cam films ($12/roll) and can’t believe how fast I received the pixx! I got to shop around 7:05pm and received via email before 10pm. Highly recommended!
One of the rare places in SG where you can still find flim processing
Tried this place as I have been wanting to try out the different film developers in Singapore. I tried the others who develop at a cheaper rate and what I can say is the uncle’s development of BW films are at a different level.
Much deeper blacks and overall have a better feel of the photograph. The uncle also printed out these small cards containing previews of my photos. Really worth I would say for the price bump compared to others.
Develop and scan colors turnover is within one day. Super fast. BW you will have to wait a week. The quality of the color scans are good.
It is true that uncle’s shop is busy and they serve one by one. So please be patient. When you go to the shop if you wanna develop you gotta fill up the form and that will take time.
I would say this is good for us hobbist as the scans are base 16.
Ps. If you see any faded photos, it’s cause I noob got the settings wrong on my camera.

A really lovely old school shop in the balestier neighborhood. Came here on a Monday afternoon (it was a public holiday) and got my photos emailed to me on the same evening, which I totally didn’t expect and it was such a nice surprise! The staff are helpful and sincere too.
After reading the reviews and history of the shop and the owners got my first roll developed here. Since then, haven’t dared to try any other place. Really quick and efficient service.
Uncle also helped by suggesting how better I could expose my shots.

The Service is below bar, refuse to take passport photo for kid with the reason that hard to take “good” photo of them. Tested my leica m6 camera with Kodak Gold 200 and sent the film to shop to processing. This is my 1st attempt using Leica M6 film camera with Kodak Gold 200… i am glad i got it process in WCC.
Sent in on Sat afternoon and got my soft copies via email on same day 🙂 I also decided to purchase more film rolls from WCC. Overally the service in WCC was fast and prices of film rolls was decent.
Due to social distancing, they only allow 2 persons in a shop at one time so i was in the queue and waited patiently. Its good to go in knowing what you need so retail staff can serve you quick plus payment is via paynow.

I always come here to develop my film as the customer service here is amazing. The friendly Uncle is always prepared to answer any queries I have on different film stocks, and he is very accommodating to any questions that you might have. The film scans are also very high quality and they will never fall short. Overall a great experience coming here to develop your film and I would always recommend this place to anyone shooting film.
Doesn’t do Malaysian passport photos but service is good. Just be mindful that only two customers are allowed in at any one time due to covid restrictions.

Echoing much of the sentiments mentioned here. Uncle and auntie are very warm and welcoming. $12 to develop your film + 16 base scan. A WeTransfer link will be emailed to you containing your photos. WeTransfer is fuss-free and downloads were fast. Quality of scan is great as well. Usually dropped my films off at 3/4pm and managed to get the download link at 10:30pm/11pm. However, do note that turnaround is still 1 day!

I have been coming here to develop my films even though it is out of the way. Today, the uncle went the extra mile to patiently help me out with my camera. I know there’s little hope for my first reel of film, I didn’t give up searching for a possible place. I chance upon this shop which really good reviews, however it wasn’t anywhere near for me. so I decided to call first and enquire. The uncle was so nice and say it’s possible to develop, of course the outcome depends on how much it was exposed to light. This place is one of the few remaining film processing places in Singapore. You can get your film processed and digitally scanned within 3-4 hours at only 10 SGD. The service staff is friendly and my film rolls were processed perfectly by them.
When take a bus from the Toa Payoh MRT, you definitely be able to spot the unmissable bright yellow shop exterior.

I’ve come here a few times and service is OK.
But my recent photos taken for an Australian passport were rejected as the quality was not good enough.
It’s a hassle because now I will need to go to a photo shop recommended by the high commission and get new photos done and another trip back to the high commission to drop off the new photos.
So come here if you need photos for visas and Singapore ID cards but NOT if you need it for an Australian passport application.

Google Reviews wasn’t hyping this place up at all. I arrived at a slightly busy period but the uncle was very friendly and efficient in dealing with customers. Developing a roll costs $12. I asked to keep my canister and uncle was very accommodating!

I’ve tried a few photo labs. By far this is the the best. Their rolls are decently priced. 1 day development time and also if you a 3d film camera like me they crop each frame. Other film shops just send me compiled digital copy. So for me the $12 development cost is justifiable.

I’ve tried quite a few different labs in the past for 35mm and 120mm film and Whampoa Colour Centre is by far the superior lab and now the ONLY film lab I trust with my photos. The shopkeepers, antiie and uncle, are very nice and patient, and they also understand the specifications required for ID photos. I went to take the photos required for the passport, and after waiting for about 15 minutes, the process was completed, and I also got the electronic draft, which passed the website review in one go. very good experience.

Just some of my digital prints that they helped to develop and I’ve to say that the quality is ! Was recommended this place by my friend and I’m so pleased to find out that they only charge you for digital copies and from there, you can develop whichever photo that catches your eye for keepsake. It’s such a different way of doing business but it works! They’ll upload the photos on a file sharing website (akin to Dropbox) and you’ll just download from there. You can collect back your roll of film within 3 months. I only dropped off my film at around 7.20pm and they still received my order at $12 for 16 base films. I got my photos back at 10am the next day! Super fast turnaround. The guy also taught me how to use my flash for my disposable camera. Thank you so much!

Keep in mind they use 16 base scan with file size of about 5mb per photo. They also sell film at a very reasonable price! They will give a 1 dollar voucher for each roll of film developed. Vouchers go to future development cost. The uncle is also very helpful and will give you tips on your photography if asked and not too busy. Totally recommend for film purchasing and development/scanning.

Went there to get a visa photo done. I was out of the place in fifteen minutes with the photos in my hand. Staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. You can get all sorts of printing done here at reasonable rates.
Dont know what these people are on about. Uncle was so professional and helpful. My film camera jammed that day and he patiently helped me with it, without any hesitation.

The negatives sent at 4:00 p.m. received the electronically scanned version in the middle of the night. Buying the film here has a 1 yuan deduction for processing and scanning. The color photo scan is 12 Singapore dollars. You can get the photo in one working day, steamed or stamped ! The store owner is also very kind.
I wanted to keep the film cassette, but I forgot to tell the store when I sent the negatives, and the store even helped me find them when I picked them up.
The uncle who runs this shop is absolutely phenomenal! He is one of the kindest film shop owners I have ever met and he never fails to lift my mood whenever I pass through. He uses Noritsu for his scanning and needless to say, the quality of the scans are impeccable. I have never seen such clarity and vibrancy in my shots. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking to buy, develop or scan film.
The best place in Singapore to get your photos developed. Uncle and Auntie are really really nice and genuine people. You can tell they are really dedicated and passionate about their jobs. Prices are also one of the lowest in Singapore. I sent my rolls for developing and received the scans within 12 hours! Photo quality is amazing, really appreciate how hard they work staying up till late to get our photos developed. Hard to find such genuine establishments nowadays. I’ll definitely be a regular here, amazing!
Can get a bit crowded. But friendly couple who is still running it for decades now. For the people who wanna come and get their film developed, great, but please do your research on how to operate your cameras so that you don’t hog the counter and make a long line.

Amazing place keep film alive. Developing was quick and photos are emailed to you, negatives are kept for a period of time and can be collected the next time you head down!
Second time went to develop the 35 mm film into CD, the service is fast , the pricing reasonable be it buying new films or develop. Most of all the service is fantastic! Keep up the good job.

I have been coming here to develop my films even though it is out of the way. Today, the uncle went the extra mile to patiently help me out with my camera. He also reassured me to bring cameras over if I encountered any problems in the future and he will try his best to help – super touched. I also promptly received the scans later the same night. Usually their service has been fast during the weekdays and a lil bit longer during the weekends. Nonetheless, they always deliver amazing quality and service!

Always a good experience, uncle here is really nice and friendly, film rolls are slightly cheaper and its $1 off your developing price if you buy film rolls from them too! mostly received the soft copy within 24 hours!! Highly recommended.
Aunty and Uncle are really kind people!! They are very helpful with any queries and they develop the films very fast, within 12 hours. Uncle will even develop films in the late night as I may receive the pictures through email in the early morning. I am glad to be able to support such a genuine and modest business!
uncle and auntie are always nice and welcoming, normally I go in the afternoon and get the film by 11pm-1am, however I went yesterday and they even sent me the film on the afternoon of new years! Super grateful for the fast developing and reasonable prices
