    This one has been around for a while. A little bit run down but overall, well organised and efficient service. Saturday mornings can be rather crowded for obvious reasons.

    But seriously, its really fuss free, from checking in, making payment and then having the vehicle inspected from station to station. Nice experience!

    Brought my e scooter in for inspection (wouldn’t come here if I didn’t have to). 2 hours+ wait. I think they were more focused on cars, which is okay. But if I didn’t sound off, then I’d probably have to wait longer.

    Went for inspection at about 2.30 pm yesterday. The queue was so long that it extended to the main road!  Decided not to wait.

    Went at 8.00 am this morning. There’s already about 5 cars ahead of me. . The entire process start to finish took about 20 min. The staff doing the inspection were efficient.

    But the same cannot be said for one of the cashier at the payment booth. When I enquired at the counter,  she didn’t speak and just pointed me to the direction on her right.  I looked and saw the payment machine. But I couldn’t pay because my inspection was a deferred case because of the Covid. Had to go back to the cashier again and explained my situation. Again, she hardly spoke except to ask my payment mode.

    I wondered if she was properly trained as a service staff. Her manner and attitude is frustrating and made the experience unpleasant.  The staff cannot assume that we know what to do and should offer help when need arises. Hopefully, VICOM would consider feedback from the reviews to make improvement to their service.

    Go early in the morning to avoid a long queue.

    Without any Indian national inspector, the process went thru smoothly. I went thru the inspection at bukit batok for years. No problem with chinese n malay inspectors but with Indian citizen inspector, keep picking on many issues including front registration number

    Simple, smooth and satisfaction.
    Best of all must thanks this Abang who take an extra effort to guide anyone is lost or not familiar with the Nets kiosk for payment.
    For those who wears the blue attire, you may have smile but with the mask on, nothing is visible. However, a wave of hands to the owner of any drivers on inspection will make their day, please try.

    Tuesday, 22 March 2022. Arrived at 8am. This is the queue. Took about 30 mins to finished. End at 8.30am. Please go early as it was until the main road yesterday when I reached at 11am. Only 1 lane to serve. Inspection price is S$70.62(with 7%GST). It will be more expensive next year when GST increase!..

    went at 1:45pm on a Wednesday. queue was short but still got to wait for 30 mins for whole procedure to end . The car drivers in front of me stopped their cars and got out to make payment at the booths but it was pretty fast and all hurried back to their cars in no time. appreciate it . i paid mine online. but don’t understand why a 3 year old car that had run for only 24,000 km needs to be inspected for road worthiness.

    Messy queuing system. Went there for OPC licence plate inspection and was made to queue along with people who were there for vehicle inspection. As I went to make payment for the inspection, cars behind me cut the queue. Spent a lot of time for a very quick inspection.

    Was here on a Tuesday morning around 10am+, lots of cars queueing up to be inspected. But, hey, there are only 2 lanes dedicated to passenger car inspection. Didn’t take too long before moving towards the payment point/booth. Payment flow was smooth. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was about 5-10 mins wait to get my vehicle onto the inspection lane. Another few minutes more to get the mandatory inspection done. I’d say the experience was better than expected. Have a little patience, the staff are giving all they got to get things moving along.

    Need to replace my motorcycle IU faulty. The staff very cooperative. Staff Faris bin Isa attended to me and he very steady and courtesy. He even guide me how to access to HDB portal online and change my new IU number. Compliment to him. Cheer!

    Skip lunch time fir inspection. Queue was past the gate to the main road. cars queue to the right. Left for commercial vehicles. Slow because only 1 lane open maybe under staffed? Staff were polite and efficient.

    we bring all vehicles to VICOM in Bukit Batok. this time was both motorcycles.
    the new inspection equipment is certainly a great improvement but I m still missing an inspection report showing the actual results of the inspection. the letter is nice but meaningless to me. a report would help me also to focus preventive maintenance.
    the speed of the inspection depends quite a bit on the individual at the inspection. just lucky there was a shift change when we got there.
    but than the previous inspector just disappeared not even mentioning he goes for break or so. left us for 20 min just waiting. not nice.

    Just to share. If you are going for inspection, you need to pay for the Inspection Fee (at DIY kiosk or Cashier) at the turn of the queue BEFORE entering into the testing area. Yes, drivers would have to disembark from car (while car in queue). It could be better if there is a prominent sign board to show this procedure in advance. Other than that, the Technicians are very well coordinated and efficient.

    Standard Vicom. Most irritating feature is payment by Diners card as only card option. else cash or direct debit.
    As a govt-granted monopoly, they should have as wide a range of payment options as is possible.

    went there recently to get my car inspected. this place has been here for a very long time and it looks very very run down as compared to the one in STA jalan boon lay. no customer lounge and very very long Q always regardless of timing. but no choice as it’s a requirement to check before renewing road tax

    Very fast and efficient. Arrived and just join the car queue. There are signs directing but need to look out for them. No need to worry about payment as there’s plenty of time to do so when you reach the start of inspection area. Pay at auto machine and can be done within a minute. The system is link with LTA so no need to show inspection notice. Overall good experience.

    Went on a Saturday morning to get my motorcycle IU unit serviced. Technicians on duty were a Malay abang and a Chinese uncle. They were professional and prompt. The abang was also helpful enough in providing me information on what I need to do after changing new IU unit, and what I can do with the unit when I am going to change new bike.

    I stay near the Boon Lay STA inspection centre, but decided to come here instead because of the *consistent* 1 stars STA’s IU servicing personnels got.

    Waiting time too long only one lane was opened on the day I went. Using Nets to pay the password keying pad all characters are gone even the stick on paper characters are gone. Need to count the sequence of characters to key in.

    Good place to settle IU issues. I had an IU reader problem where I was planning to buy a 2nd hand IU unit to replace, since I had bought my bike 2nd hand and I had no idea if it was still within the warranty period. But I’ll recommend you to come down, and they do provide the date and details of your warranty (if any). If still valid, replacement or repairs will be free.

    For motorbikes: Had a fast and eazy experience. 1. Went up to the auto payment booth, made transaction. 2. Push bike to testing station. Waited 5mins for front bike then up next. 3. Did the test, collect cert. All by 15mins(depends on the crowd. Twice I came here, twice fast exp). The technicians I encountered were friendly and professional.

    Fully automated inspection. Just hand over your car to the technician and everything is over in about 15 minutes.

    The only gripe is the long queue, probably due to the backlog from COVID-19. Had to wait for about 45 minutes for my turn.

He also personally went to the cashier to help me do refund and showed me how to correctly choose the inspection service from the self service station. Handed me the refund Personally. Thumbs up. Forgot to check his name. The inspection service was swift and staff was friendly. Definitely the place to go for car inspection.

    Just to share. If you are going for inspection, you need to pay for the Inspection Fee (at DIY kiosk or Cashier) at the turn of the queue BEFORE entering into the testing area. Yes, drivers would have to disembark from car (while car in queue). It could be better if there is a prominent sign board to show this procedure in advance. Other than that, the Technicians are very well coordinated and efficient.

    Quite a long queue even though it was 3.30pm, finished inspection in an hour. Process was quite simple, pay at machine, drive to the start and technicians take over.

    Came here around 9am and only had 1 car in front of me. In and out within half an hour. They have 2 x electronic cashiers that accept cards or nets. You can also renew your road tax there and there are surrounding workshops too. Come early to avoid any queue.

    Should improve customers’ service. It’s a captive market. Payment and reception were confusing. The public toilet for men were filthy. None of the staff with public contact wore a mask. This was most surprising.

    It is never an easy issue to tackle when there is a crack in the exhaust system in which I failed the test.

    But kudos to Suresh from Bt Batok branch who patiently explained to me clearly where is the damage and the proper procedure to apply for permit to do repair.

    I had to inspect three times in total becaue the workshop’s welding skill is not up to standard but the second and third checks were actually foc.

    The service from Suresh is really good, maybe better than the air stewards from SQ. Even offered me to wait at air con room when he doesn’t have to while he do the checks and paperwork.

    Without his help it is actually not easy to find out the proper procedure for exhaust repair as you won’t want to get in trouble with LTA.

    Inspection staff is professional and efficient, however there is only single lane to facilitate the entire 4 stages of inspection. Waiting time is at least dreading 1 hour or more, payment booth only 1 is Nets ready and not PayWave compatible while the other booth is as good as useless. Cashier booth is just to collect cash payments which should be made obsolete. Who pays cash these days unless you’re going to the wet market or convenience store.

    VICOM Inspection Centre is for vehicles due for their compulsory road worthiness inspection. We need to pay $65.75 (car) for the service. It takes about 7 minutes for each car to complete the inspection. There is a kiosk for paying road tax.

    Better than my previous experience. The inspector was quite chill and friendly but the navigation was not clear, would easily get lost if never go before. Even being my 2nd time, I needed to follow other motorist to navigate.

    I went there to check if there was a problem with my IU. The gentleman doing the checking was not the most polite. The kind of attitude that makes you feel like you’re bothering them rather than you are the customer. Vicom would do well to train them a little bit on basic customer service.

    I purposely made a long trip to Vicom instead of visiting STA which was just 10 minutes away because of the diners card.

    I intentionally arrived at 11am hoping that the queue would be very short. Indeed it was. I was out of the inspection centre in less than 30 minutes including payment.

    When you are waiting to pay, a diners card sales person will sell you the credit card, I think it is worth it, as it gives a discount and offers free roadside assistance for a year (before u cut the card due to annual fees) the roadside assistance really just covers flat tyres, and maybe jump start. The call centre knows nothing to be honest. “it depends on the car that comes you”. For christ sake..

    The inspection officer was very clear, polite and professional. I followed the green lane and watched as they checked my car. They check to ensure that your brakes, lights, and some components in the engine are working.

    If there is any problem, Borneo motor is around the corner alongside Nissan. Unless your car has catastrophic failure, take your money elsewhere such as the nearby Wcega plaza which I also feel is expensive but better than the AD. Wcega plaza workshops are there to target customers who need help to pass the inspection but avoid AD knowing they will get ripped off. I made my way to pioneer to fix a couple of things at very reasonable prices.

    Because of the savings from the diners card, I would recommend Vicom. Talk to the salespeople before paying it may be worth a few minutes. Afterall, you are stuck in the line.

    Went there to check on my car’s IU (did not got scanned passing the ERP gantry), officer who did the checking was so skilled on his job. The entire inspection got checked and generated a report on the inspection in a flash. Thank you

    Went at about 645pm and only finished close to 8pm. Only 1 lane was in use to inspect the cars. One car had an issue during the inspection and that held everyone up causing the delay. Vicom’s management should probably explore ways to open up at least another lane during peak period to help mitigate such issues.

    The guys on the ground did their best to move things along but they faced backlogs. System needs to change. Perhaps implement an appointment system to help manage the load or at least re-think the process to inspect the cars.

    Maybe the drivers could help move the car along the inspection line to speed things up a bit. Currently the inspection guy has to get in the car, move it down the line, insert the probe, run back to the starting point to move the 2nd car down the line. Too time consuming.

    Except for excellent technical staff, who did their jobs well and politely, the place is an example of complacency, mediocrity and, absence of leadership and management. The procedure is regressing and unproductive, machines ageing, NEITHER CREDIT CARD NOR DIGITAL PAYMENT, building lacks good maintenance, etc., YET PRICE HAS BEEN INCREASING. It’s a 1960s experience.

    I went at 7:55 am, hoping for no-wait process at 8:00 am when it opens; but it was not the case. Experienced long delay for payment before start of inspection. No manual payment was allowed (unless it is late payment.) One Auto payment machine was out of order and other one had technical and network problems. I ended up paying cash at the machine. It took 30-35 min to complete payment (including queueing). Then there was long delay of queue to get to the test line. However good news is once I was in the test lane, the process was fast and efficient. The testing staff were very friendly. All done at 9:00 am

    Friendly, helpful staff fm the payment counter right up to the inspection personnel . Waiting time was also within 45 mins. One staff even open up another counter when the queue got longer. To me this is initiative.

    I’m a senior citizen, who always abide with our country law, I recently purchased a used scooter. Due to my knee problem. LTA instructed me to send my E-scooter for inspection before 6th Nov & the officer was unable to inspect because the registration Mark was place at the side at the scooter bar. I’ve to write in to LTA for new RM sticker. & Come back again for inspection. I was told that I cannot remove current RM sticker. I wonder what is the reason, if it’s for inspection reason by LTA officer, whether place at front or side of handle bar it is easily visible. LTA administrator who comes out with rules should not cost inconvenience to senior citizen who is low in cash (taxi fare) & problem with mobility. To avoid such situation for other users, you may want to send a reminder with details of what is expected for the inspection. BTW, the officer at Vicom (BB) Mr Jason Chua was very polite & helpful. This is not a complaint but a constructive feedback to better the current rules/systems.

    Tuesday, 22 March 2022. Arrived at 8am. This is the queue. Took about 30 mins to finished. End at 8.30am. Please go early as it was until the main road yesterday when I reached at 11am. Only 1 lane to serve. Inspection price is S$70.62(with 7%GST). It will be more expensive next year when GST increase!..

    For motorbikes: no need to queue juz head straight for motorcycle inspection located under e bridge.

    1. Go to the auto payment booth for inspection payment.

    2. Pass e payment slip to technician , technician asked about exhaust cert i mentioned i bought second hand no cert….. exhuast information is inside e system, technician went into office for about 10 mins to extract my exhuast information came out verify serial no. on exhuast and asked me push and start bike for testings.

    3. Did the exhuast / lightings / alignment test for about 5 mins, collect cert settled in about 20mins.

    Overall is a good experience, vending machine is juz beside u can buy can drinks for $1, highly recommended for people living in e west!!!

    VICOM Bukit Batok is well organised and efficient. Sometimes if you join the queue at a busy time it can take up to an hour for your turn.Perhaps it is good to call first to find out which are the off peak times for inspection.

    Efficient verification process all steps done in a single drive way. Vehicle owners asked to wait alongside the inspection line, which provides transparency, though the factory environment can be uncomfortable to some. Payment is accepted only on site via cash or nets. If you are used to online and mobile payment methods, remember to bring alone your wallet.

    All of us had to wait in line for 1 hr plus. But yet they allowed some self entitled old uncle driving a white Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS to cut the queue. Please look into making a more fair experience for all of us who abide by your rules.

    Inspections wise, it if a pleasant experience and very professionally done.

    Do make your payment online before you go for inspection. It will shorten everyone’s waiting time too.

    The payment for inspection was not smooth. My car was the 5th before the start of the inspection. I went to the payment kiosk to make payment but was told to refer to the cashier. I then went to queue at the cashier. Before my turn I had to ran back to my car as the few front cars had now proceed ahead into the inspection area. I had to repeat this ruling in and out to the cashier a couple of time before I finally made the payment at the cashier.

    After inspection I wanted to pay the road tax but was told that the payment for the road tax closed at 5.30 pm and the cashier was not taking anymore payment. If that being the case then there should be a payment kiosk for road tax payment
