Great shopping mall for children. There are many enrichment programs and tutoring centers here. Also clothing stores just for kids.
A mall that has severals retail outlets and service centres that cater to children.
+
Short walk from Novena MRT station.
Quite a wide choice of food.
Not much to shop though.
–
Tons of kids attending enrichment classes.
Old and dated.
Cozy little family mall. The new flagship starbucks reserve store is beautiful with high ceilings and a revamped interior and a building extension. United square serves residents in the area with dining options, a supermarket, some shops and tuition centres.
Some years back, this place was overrun with tuition centres with little else going for it.
Thankfully, some interesting food outlets have moved in and it’s a lot more interesting.
There’s a Toast Box, a Teochew Fishball noodle from Redhill, a place selling poke, a pressed coffee cafe, some kiosks selling Old Chang Kee and Katong Laksa, and even a Wine Connections offering food and alcoholic drinks.
We tried several of them and were impressed by the quality and taste.
We will be back to sample the rest.
This mall specialized for kids, some education center and kids course at 3rd and 4th level, and mostly shop selling kids needs, clothes, books, toys, etc. Big supermarket and some nice cafes and restaurants for hang out or parents when waiting for the kids do some courses.
It’s a good place for kids & parents. Despite the older outlook of this mall, the interior are well decorated. Most importantly it has nursing rooms that are clean & well maintained. Can get diapers and milk powder from information center (ASK ME!). Children hair cut is available too.
Suggestion for improvement is the carpark to be more well lighted & blind spot mirrors at corners.
I go for tuition here, and I feel that the mall needs some upgrading. The toilets are not the best standard (not to mention smelly), and the design of the mall feels very old. Although there have been efforts to make the mall kid-friendly, I don’t think it helps. The MRT is also not so conveniently located, and you have to walk around 6 minutes to Velocity just to take the MRT.
Standard shopping fare, but good mix of F&B outlets for families. Have a popular student enrichment during weekends. Parking and access can be a nightmare as too many drivers pick up kids and clog up the access.
Comfortable and happy. Not too much customer during weekdays, a lot of choices for …
Small to medium sized mall with various shops & food outlets
Learning mall w good facillities
Good shopping for children clothes, toys, furniture… small and comfortable. The usual food arcade is available as well. Next to Novena MRT station.
Great shopping malls, lots of sports shop in there
Great mall especially for kids stuff. Got loads of variety and different kids brands.
Place is filled with learning centres like The Learning Lab, Hua Chinese, Lorna Whiston etc. and kids centric shops like adidas kids, guess kids, cotton on kids, H&M kids, toyrus. There is also popular bookshop where you can get assessment books for extra practice for your child. Also have some popular food outlets like mcdonald, starbucks, ya kun, toast box, pontian noodles, subway, ichiban boshi, wee nam kee chicken rice etc. A place to send your child for some enrichment classes and have coffee or do groceries while waiting for their classes to end.
In the early 2000 this place is a sleepy shopping mall. They had made total changes to transform this mall into a first class shopping mall.
Just found out this place has many shops for kids stuff.
Average shopping mall with all the normal facilities working properly as it should. The mall is quite clean and can be easily accessed through the bus routes or the MRT lines. This mall is quite crowded so it might not be the perfect place to go to in the weekends.
It has many things that are great for Children and Adults! For children there is a tuition center, music school, art school and many more. For adults you can have some tea at bakerzsin or look at the electronics store! The food there is really delicious too
Strategic shopping mall offering nice experience with children. Decorated especially with dolls and cartoon figures, there are also a lot of kiddies shops, surely can make your children happy being here. Events are held in this mall as well. Very strategic location, have bus stations right in front of it (United Sq) and opposite of it, connected by manual pedestrian bridge (opp United Sq).
Suitable for visit with children and in the weekend.
Normal shopping mall with full of tution centers
There used to be an underpass at Novena mrt which takes you near the mall but unfortunately it is closed now so it is not so convenient to visit. . The mall is good for buying kids stuff. They have Toysrus, kids wear etc. Other major shop tenants are Cold Storage, Popular bookstore, Mega Discount store and McDonald’s. There is also a nice food court at the basement.
Small but I go for the Popular bookshop and some decent eateries.
More expensive than most
Nice and convenient place but the price is higher slightly here
For education purposes this is a good place, it has a large number of tuition centers, my kids go to Learning Lab for a number of subjects. Good thing about this place is that there are a number of places to eat after the kids have finished.
Functional (being the keyword) with a good variety of shops and restaurants to keep the everyday consumer happy… not a destination place and the focus on the most efficient use of space makes this shopping centre feel really cramped and not very pleasant.
Envisaged as a happening educational hub – you can see lots of students especially after school hours during weekdays, patiently waiting to attend tuition classes.
Small mall with a reward system that is hard to use and earn.
Should follow capitaland app to allow shoppers to scan receipt and earn points.
Carpark lots are so little. Weekend lunch and dinner time sure packed and no lot.
Witnessed an accident caused by Valet on 7 February 2021. 4 cars are affected.
Good shopping mall with a variety of tenants including a supermarket, restaurants, cafes and retail shops.
This place is good just diagonal to Novena sq, there’s many shops to patronise n food outlets n Starbucks is just outside, thanks
United squares mall is located close to CBD in Novena. This mall have various restaurants and food court in basement along with office building Access is not much appreciated because its bit for from MRT and other bus stops. United Square Mall is have plenty of shops for kids and infants and many events organised by management for kids and teenagers.
Cozy place with sufficient restaurants and variety of merchants. Lots of outlets for children related services such as clothes, toys, books and enrichment learning. Adults may enjoy BBT and various cuisines.
The perfect mall for your toddler
The baby changing room and feeding rooms are one of the best i have seen here in Singapore.
Have many kids shops, kids toy shops, eatery places, cold storage and little farm for groceries plus two pharmacies
Bus stop just infront
It’s very nice and doesn’t feel crowded even during weekends or holiday
Take your toddler and enjoy
This place got a lot of event that suitable for kids 1-7
I can get everything children’s related all under one roof. Clothes, Toys, Medical, Dental, Enrichment schools. Lots of great F&B outlets too.
There are always exciting holiday events such as character shows that one can look out for
A small but decent mall catered especially to parents and young children. Ample dining options and not very crowded. Basic daily necessities are available. About 10 minutes walk via the underground tunnel from Novena MRT station.
Used to be one of our go to malls when we used to live in Balestier. Its main theme is kids shops, with stores such as Toys-r-us, fox kids, mom’s and babes etc. There is a nice bar serving good German beer hidden away at the basement.
Quite a boring mall for anything else besides kids stuff. Parking lot series of circular turns could easily scrap your wheels if you’re are avoiding approaching cars not keeping to their lane when turning.
A kids friendly mall in the sense it has quite a number of shops (apart from makan places) catered to kids stuff. E.g. Toy R Us, Guess kids, Zoomoov, kids rides, a shop called “My Greatest Child” and some private education centres, etc. But things are not as well as pre-covid when they used to have weekend activities, etc. The rest are usual makan places, cafe, eatery, supermarket and such.
This shopping mall very big , there are so many stores, its located in novena , beside my place within walking distance . Very convenient to go, has a supermarket , many cafes , departmental stores and more. I always go there to the supermarket. Malls is clean and it is well connected as there is a MRT nearby also. This place is kids friendly and good for all ages.
Always a good heartlands shoping center. You can get in and out super quick
The new food court is bad especially the fried rice stall. Premium pricing but pathetic portion and taste.
A kids shopping mall, there are many kids shops around, especially tuition centres. But not much stores for the adults. Also very hard to find parking lots and the surroundings are packed, so if you want your child to go for tuition there, I recommend you walk there and try not to drive.
Mall that specialize in kids enrichment centres, especially crowded during the weekend. It’s a well equipped mall with a supermarket, book shop, doctors, dental and cafes. Walking distance from Novena mrt station
Nice Shopping Mall with lots of stores and food to choose from
Very convenient place..and nice
The mall has a Popular and ToysRus. Mainly educational Centres for children. However, driving in on weekends can get a little crazy, as there is only one lane to enter from the main road.
A kids friendly place with lots of tuition classes and entertainment catered for kids. Genki sushi has recently opened.
Not much to do if you aren’t with kids though
Popular and cold storage available too.
Many eating options. Target at families with children. Plenty of tuition and enrichment centers
Extremely good place to get children’s clothes and toys. One of the major draw for my young one is the Toys”R”Us. Lots of food options too inclusive of buffet and a food court.
The mall usually have programmes lined up which will entertain young children during school holidays.
A small mall in Singapore’s standards, but with a lot of kids’ stores and toys. The numerous buffet stores are also a plus, although the variety is not that wide: most of them are Koreans. Walking distance to other places with finger food and desserts.
Good place for kids’ stuff! Many eateries so with young kids good place to go. There’s the Cold Storage for your groceries. Ample car park space. Just watch out for kids coming out from the Learning Lab…it will be congested.
Twelve cupcakes, r & b bubble tea, wee nam kee chicken rice, old chang kee, macdonalds and many more here, kids friendly!
Had a great experience at Nail addiction. Annie and Ivy were very warm, meticulous and skilful, would definitely recommend this place
Quite a varied mall, but mostly filled with children’s stuff, enrichment centres, bakeries & eateries. This is more like a family mall, so there are no high-end brands here. The mix of shops is pretty similar to Novena Square & Velocity across the street.
The usual common brands like MacDonald’s, Guardian & Watson’s, Popular Bookshop, Food Junction etc. are here.
A mall with tons of eateries and family-friendly activities and stores. Near subway too.
A great family mall with a good selection of restaurants and a premium Cold Storage supermarket with a wonderful selection of product. Plenty of top notch children enrichment establishments too.
Family mall catered to learning centers and kids wear. Has reasonable amount of restaurants and eateries to choose from. Supermarket on the basement and more food and cafés. Toys R Us and Popular bookstore. Gets really crowded over the weekends due to kids classes and carpark might be dull. Entry becomes a real challenge. There’s a small playground and fitness area just outside.
Not too crowded, decent mall and family friendly. Love bringing my family in this mall.
Music and Movement Program for kids up to 6 years starting from 1 year old.
There are many places in this mall that everyone loves. For example the study corner. The study corner is a shop that the mall designed for students to study or adults to do their work at so they wouldn’t need to go to MacDonald to study as this may take up seats. Also this mall has many food choices like Italian food and Japanese food. This mall is a great place for families to spend time with each other as this place has many family friendly areas like ToysRus, popular and many more. This place also has some tuition centres for children such as the learning lab. My experience there was amazing as I was amazed by the convenience of the mall since it is right beside novena MRT station.
It is not advised able to during rainy days as there close the underpass MRT. The walkway is made as a temporary shelter which is only for shade from the sun and not for the rainy season.
The convenience is lost during the MRT upgrading. So sad
3 stars! One star each for the 3 things that do it for me in a shopping mall: Parking, at least 2 good reasons for me to be there, and “Will I come back?” No stars for Rest rooms, and Variety.
Parking is really good here, just go straight to 4th floor and above. Don’t wander around the lower levels like a chump and clog up the lanes.
Variety of shops are pretty limited, most shops are targeted at kids (clothes, toys and tuition centres). No star from me! -1!
2 good reasons for me to be there: Ssikkek Korean BBQ (Basement 1) and Starbucks.
Rest rooms are sad and really need a deep-clean. It’s always suspiciously wet and musty. -1 star! (Bring your own tissues and alcohol wipes)
“Will I come back?” Yes. Because of Ssikkek and parking.
Mainly a kids mall with enrichment centres like The Learning Lab, Lorna Whiston, I can read, Global Art and many others. The mall spring to life in the afternoon and on weekend with young kids & families. Shopping can be done at places like Cold Storage, Guardian, Watson, Popular & Toys”R”Us while the kids are doing their enrichments. Can also always grab a bite or drink at Food Junction, Mc Donalds, Old Chang Kee, Liho, Subway, Starbucks, Ya Kun, Breadtalk & Toastbox.
Nice shopping mall, lots of shops for kids.
This is a decent kiddo mall. The kind of mall where you have a plethora of kiddo tuition classes, enrichment classes, arts & crafts, sports, kiddo entertainment like kiddo game arcade amusement center, kiddo hair salons, kiddo fashion and dress up. You get the idea.
Nice place but mainly for children.
Can’t believe I found a pepper lunch express at the basement. It’s cheap and delicious. Hoping to come by again in the future
plenty of good food
nice small little shopping mall. Lots of food choices
Overpriced, runneth over by wealthy expats and locals who have no idea how overpriced things are in this mall. Good for a stroll, wouldn’t pay money for actual shopping at all. Coffee at basement food court is horrendous, watery and overpriced. In short, overpriced.
Good place for kids but not really a shopping mall for adults. There are a bunch of tuition centres such as the learning lab, which takes up majority of the 3rd and 4th floor. Then there are a bunch of food stores such as bakerzin(cafe for all 3 meals) ichiban boshi and yayoi(japanese food places). There is also the popular bookstore and ToysRus on the 2nd floor. On the basement there is cold storage supermarket, macdonalds and soup restaurant. There are also some card machines which are uncommon anywhere else in singapore such as animal kaiser. But you can also find the machine game pokemon tretta there too. They all operate on new $1 coins. Also contains dustbins in the shape of animals, encouraging people to dump rubbish in their mouth, therefore teaching little kids to throw away their rubbish. Theres also an atrium where there are usually events for kids 1 to 6. It is also conviently located next to novena mrt station(NS20). Overall this place is a nice placemostly designed for kids.
Good food , nice atmosphere and a fantastic price! Should check this place out for a chill night of 4 or less …
My husband and I agreed that it is a kids friendly mall. We love how they display the way to baby changing room. Their rubbish bin is very kids friendly too – animals with their mouth as the bin opening. Mummies can go shopping easily, cause they have lots of kiddy rides – daddies can entertain kids whilst mummy shops with peace of mind.
The place is a bit small. But surrounding tge area have great hangout places like udders amd Ah Chew Desserts. Megadiscount Store is located here for all household electronics needs!
Convenient mall with a lot of restaurants and eateries, and some boutiques. The food options are great. That said, during lunch hours, the place can be quite crowded as there are quite a bit of offices around the area. Located right above the Novena MRT station, which is great! Short walk though. But won’t kill.
Personally really like the food court selection that they bring in. Always can do with some good fish soup and nice yong tau foo.
Visiting USq today after a very long time. It’s refreshing to step in again. It’s a popular place for parents n kids. Convenient situated in central. Many other eatery and Velocity & Novena sq within walking distance.
Popular with parents shopping for toys for their kids. There’s a ToysRUs store here all decked up with latest exciting toys. Food outlets and cafes are plenty here
Avoid the foodcourt if u have purchased food n snacks from other stores. You will be rudely told off by the staff even when there are plenty of seats around.
Wonderful place for children enrichment classes. However avoid the foodcourt on weekends when you are hungry. Too many parents taking up tables watching contents on their phones and tablets while waiting for their children.
Nice overal mall to shop otherwise, for groceries and kids stuffs.
This is a mall with a difference – a touch of class and indifference. Far away from the maddening crowd of Orchard Road yet within reach of downtown Singapore.
Walk through the lobbies and you see a different crowd. The well-heeled, yuppie couples with their tots in tow. Suited and jeans-clad sits next to each others for a coffee or a gourmet meal.
The cleanliness of the eateries here seem to be on the low side. Even McDonald’s has greasy tables, food crumbs on seats. My kid complained the toilet is disgusting.
If you have never been to Singapore take the time to visit it, you will not be disappointed, very clean and the people are very helpful. The sites are worth seeing….Boat in the sky…. Aluminated palm trees and many more.
There’s a really nice ramen place that’s tucked away in the basement, same level as the food court. It’s called Bari Uma ramen and the spicy ramen is thick, rich and delicious. Gyoza is good too, and they have one for one beer promotions. Nice comfortable ambience, overall excellent experience. The Japanese owner is very friendly too.
Shopping Mall is big and has a Nice Environment. This shopping Mall should have a Vegetarian Restaurant or Cafe to Cater to Vegetarians.Toilets can be quite dirty sometimes. Overall ,Reasonable shopping Mall to visit .
Do you know that a whopping 3 Billion pairs of flip-flops are discarded per year! .
But being non-biodegradable, these discarded flip-flops often end up accumulated at landfills or get washed up beaches. U might have watched that viral video about a social enterprise who upcycles washed up flip-flops found along the beaches and waterways in Kenya, and turns flip-flops into awesome art pieces and functional products. This is none other than @oceansoleafrica brought in exclusively by @unitedsquaremall this March holidays to help raise greater awareness of such issues.
We learnt so much about sustainability at the fair and read every single note accompanying every flip-flop carving masterpiece, from sea turtle, penguins, hogwarts, giraffes and many more!
We also caught a live demonstration from Florence Auma Muga, a creative artisan from Kenya of @oceansoleafrica who transformed discarded Flip-Flops into a colourful sea turtle in under 30 mins!
She will still be at @unitedsquaremall until 24 March with several live shows everyday!
Join the Flippin’ Fun at #unitedsquaremall!
To support the cause of #oceansole, u can also bring home a cute little T-rex, or giraffe, or sea turtle, or rhino and so many more! We are definitely not seeing our flip-flops the same anymore!
Shops catering mainly to tuition centres / kids clothing
Parking n entry to the mall is a nightmare! Just too many tuition places in one building
Not my favorite mall in Singapore to be honest. The mall focuses a lot a (young) children so there are not many nice shops for people older than 12. There is a cold storage (supermarket) which is convenient. Also there is a foodcourt in the basement but the quality of the food here is not very good for the most places.
The shopping mall is built for kids and lots of toys shop such as Toys R Us which is huge. Recommended for parents bringing children during school holidays or weekend getaway.
Family and children oriented mall, with majority of shops dedicated to families with children. Decorations fit the theme as well, with cute rubbish bins and murals.
Wonderful place for children enrichment classes. However avoid the foodcourt on weekends when you are hungry. Too many parents taking up tables watching contents on their phones and tablets while waiting for their children.
Nice overal mall to shop otherwise, for groceries and kids stuffs.
Many hipster shops for a heartland mall, and the Koufu food court has some really nice stall, like the fish soup stall that serves red grouper!
Headquarter of the learning lab. A good place for the students looking for better academic results. There are some good restaurants, food court, popular bookstore, and bata, supermarket, etc.
Kids friendly mall, Popular book store always crowd.
I recommend Korean restaurant, Sonamoo B1. Very fresh and homemade Korean food! Had the wonderful bibimbab with spicy pork, with five different vegetables inside. I was so touched with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Looking for new and good? This is the best choice I bet.
Nestled in the Novena area, this mall is the most happening mall for the kids. It is basically catered to the needs of the young. There are many kinds of kids clothing stores, toy stores, bookstores, and specialty stores for kids in this mall.
If you have kids; you need to go here. This mall has enough distractions for kids that you will not need to look at options once you walk in. Also organizes some really nice roadshows – brings in the usual suspects from Disney etc
well located mall with good amenities
Love the salmon at 1 of the kiosk, Poke Lulu.
Friendly staff and can choose you like
Good mix of shops and food
70s design, even after renov. Closed in and messy
Pleasant mall, happy place in slightly older facility. Comprehensive stores. Lots of enrichment classes, therefore lots of happy kids and parents. Ample good coffee shops and restaurants for waiting parents. Popular Books. Food Court. Carpark very popular during evening school dropoffs & pickups. Underground passage to Novena MRT.
I’m here for food! Nice and chill urban mall that has the day to day needs and wants!
Has all I need for a simple meal and coffee place
If not mistaken , everyone calls this place a learning hub. . Nevertheless there are still lots of good F&B plus other shops here. Groceries, wines cafe , restaurants ,hair saloons, kids enrichments classes, toys, ….can’t compare this to a bigger mall but just nice to cater for family’s day out here. Explore the restaurants near United Square as well, many more hidden places to feast in. Lol . It’s up to your preference and the main thing will be taste buds . If need more place to go to, Velocity is just walking distance or shall say across the crossroad. PS: The traffic lights timing and traffic condition during peak hours, just be patient as it may get on your nerves.
Run of the mill shopping centre with the usual McDonald’s, Subway etc. Lots of kids. The drop off lobby creates a traffic jam around the whole building between 4.30pm to 6.30pm when parents come in their cars to pick up their kids.
When there are school holidays however, not so bad.
Very crowded on weekdays with office crowd. Weekends reasonable crowded. Mall is not too bad with adequate variations of shops to walk around. Lots of food too. You can find basically all fast food here. Except a&w of course.
City square mall which are connected with farrer park mrt and just a few minutes walk to Mustafa centre . United square has don donki, decathalon and hai di lao. There is a nice playground just outside .
This was at Crown Prince Wine & Dine. Great ambience esp for sit down Chinese dinner w family. Prices r acceptable. Quality for sure.
Mall is not bad! If you wanna buy something for your child then this the place you should go. Because I feel like this mall is aimed for children.
great place to meet up with family and friends. Shopping mall is catered to young kids. Big cold storage at basement for all your grocery needs. Many eateries as well. every school holiday there will be activities like meet and greets organised for kids. Do bring your kids there. At level 3 and 4 there are also many tution centres like Learning Lab and ballet school etc. Only downside is that you need to walk quite a bit to reach the nearest MRT station (Novena)
The best part is that it is next to Velocity. So you have two malls when you go to one. Finding the parking lot is a challenge though bc Google doesn’t give the right driving direction!
Mostly kids clothing shops and food, mainly people who come here either work in the office building or are bringing their kids here to shop for clothes or attend the pop up shows that happen. Many restaurants here and very close to Velocity near by that has more food choices
An amazing place to bring your kids. United Square mall presents to your kids the fun of having a mall designed about them! Contains cute dustbins in the shape of animals and a huge stage for entertainment purposes. Your child can eat and play there. With a lot of retail stores for little kids. It is both educational and fun!
Traffic flow isn’t that good. Rather congested. This could be because it has quite a number of enrichment centres.
This is a very family orientated shopping centre particularly for kids. There are many tuition centres and eateries, and the mall regularly holds big events for children which makes this a huge favourite.
Only main issue is the traffic during peak times and weekends. It’s a real problem due to the road system which in my opinion could be negated by making one or two streets one-way instead of two ways. The mall also becomes incredibly packed during these times.
Eateries are good and have many Japanese outlets that cater to the local and large expat Japanese population. There is a cold storage along with toys r us and MPH bookstore, all solid anchor stores.
A pretty huge mall that can be easily reached from Novena MRT. The only pity is that there is no underground link to it yet. As of March 2021, one is being constructed. The mall is pretty huge that it can be a little hard to find the shop or restaurant you want to go to. Plenty of child friendly features and seating areas too.
Like most Hong Kong Street Outlets, food is tasty and served hot. Great for families get togethers.
Having said that, avoid visiting 6 – 7:30pm for a better experience.
Pretty nice mall in novena area. One can reach here by novena ns line and then follow underpass . Have toy’r us 24/7 and plenty of eateries and cafes with good options in kids shopping. Have one Choco express too.
A mall with children and young audience / teens related theme. The top floors are all occupied by coaching / tuition centres like The Learning Lab etc. other couple of floors have shops like Popular, Baleno a few distinct shops for kids / young teens like bloom, puma kids etc. there is a Cold Storage and basement floor had eateries like
McDonald’s , Ya Kun Kaya Toast etc. saw a big Starbucks and ToastBox and couple to Japanese and other food joints too.
United Square is diagonally opposite to the Velocity mall which is much bigger and more shopping oriented lifestyle mall.
Novena MRT is walkable form here and plenty of bus services to reach here. Mount Elizabeth Novena and Tan Tock Seng hospitals and Novena Medical Center are also in vicinity.
Overall United Square is popular with parents due to it’s children oriented shops and classes and tuition centres.
30 mins grace period, $2.20 for two hours. This must be the cheapest carparking in town.
well spaced out with a good spread of food, cozy enough for a break during lunch….
Awkward mall layout, not sure where the main entrance/exits are. Mostly services existing weekday business/lunch crowd and surrounding buildings. Not a good destination for weekend shopping because there is no major department store tenant. A lot of stores are small businesses, and quite a lot are for children / education. There are ample food offerings (cafes/food outlets).
There are many education centre and enrichment classes for kids here e.g Lorna Whiston , LearningLab, HUA chinese edu centre, etc. This mall have almost everything for children basic needed ! Clinic for the babies and salon, also groceries supermarkets too !
Lots of good food. Hv not been there long time ago. The food court has improved.
Many varieties to choose will visit again soon.
I used to come to tuition here a long long time ago. Nothing has changed. It’s still a tuition centre centric mall. If you don’t have kids, and dont need the supermarket, I doubt you’d ever go here. If you are reading this, you should instead go straight to the reviews of the tuition centres.
85 redhill Teochew fishball noodles (Located at level 01-79/80). If you are looking for something hawker style and not too expensive. This is the one for you. fish dumpling noodles is the best, often sold out quite fast.
Due to the MRT lines work in this area and narrow road. The traffic is very congested and almost stand still during peak hours of the day and week end.
United square has many food stalls like the food court, Mac, Liho and many other staff. If u have kids they will confirm enjoy their time as there r many activities there
Good mix of f&b, focussed on children enrichment centres. Well managed mall but tends to have traffic jams at the entrance of carpark at times.
Still not so crowded as just starting to open up. Nice place to shop for kids’ clothes!
The new arrangement is much better than before….now is well organized…so easy for me to run here and there.
Eateries of local to Asian cuisines. Good shopping for children apparels and toys. Many educational centres catering to child development.
Basically a shopping mall for kids, clothes, shoes and many tuition centers. The weekends are the busiest time. Going into the car park and leaving will be very time consuming. Please be patient and courteous in the jam.
Many hand sanitisers located at almost every inch of plaza.many cleaners can be seen to ensure tip top cleaniness . Very children friendly mall and prestige education centre are
Shopping mall lots of shops :banks/eateries/beauty salons/ clinic/ sports wears n others spacious not crowded convenience transportation
Located near Novena Church, is a very accessible and convenient for everyone. I like to window-shop and have a quiet meals with friends here as there are good varieties of shops and eating places. Good meeting point.
Right above Novena MRT station and filled with lots of choices for food, clothing and services (like banks etc), this is one of the better malls in central Singapore.
It’s connected by short walkway to VeloCity (sportswear mall) and Square2 mall, which has a Jollibee fast food restaurant.
Many cafes and restaurants here
Cold storage and little farms are here with plenty of eateries
Something different from fried, spicy, and oily food. Healthy, high fibre meal suitable for a change once in a while from high calorie food.
A Shopping Mall that might interest all age groups, individuals, with family and friends.
Had problems going into United square. wasn’t e wheelchair accessible….
United square is a place for learning. It has a wide range of facilities for your kids and family. If you want to get clothes for your children, this mall has many clothing shops. If you want your children to improve on their learning in a conducive environment, this is the place for you. United Square has many tuition centres that you can enrol your child in. United Square is a good place to enjoy a meal with a wide variety of restaurants and food stalls.
Amazing fun place for kids.
Wide variety of restaurants and food choices. Carpark can be rather crowded though, many times when I come to United Square, I’ll usually have to go to one of the top stories of the carpark. Getting out of the carpark can sometimes take quite a while. Other than that, it’s a nice place for shopping.
lotsa kids stuff (tuition centres, kids salons etc) but alot of goos food as well… parking here is easier to get than most carparks at novena area so might be better to park here if u r going to ttsh or novena square.
Good for dining and drinking. Great fit families with little ones.
You can find anything here from a ToysRUs, to a McDonald’s. For pokemon enthusiasts, there is a pokemon arcade machine on the bottom floor.
A shopping place for children.. Many shops catering to children’s clothes and toys.
I like especially the simple Udon restaurant (Maruten) at B1 facing the road.. Very generous in their service and serving portion. It is an affordable and friendly place.. You’ve got the chance to choose the size of your food so nothing is gone to waste.
Free flow of soup. Nice chewy Udon. Very filling and tasty curry rice.
Really good shopping mall. United square shopping mall is located Opp of Novena MRT. Food court, Hoshino cafe, Toast box, Yakun, Coldstorage, Guardian, Watsons, Mcdonalds, Guess, H&M Kids flagship store, Smigle, Photostore, Bookstore, OCBC bank and DBS ATM. Organic food shops. And Starbucks Reserve are at 1st floor.
Plus Singapore’s best tuition center learning lab is on 3rd floor. Music center, English tuition center, too.
Also Clinic at 1st floor, Children’s clinic at 2nd floor. And above office tower has many european embassys.
Busy shopping mall on Sunday afternoon lunch time. Lots of children. Plenty of eateries, no lack of food choices.
Shopping and services for kids and families. A number of eateries there as well.
More for food than others… Possibly Popular Bookstore and Toys’r Us… But old charm remains…
Just an alright Mall nothing much here small and just nice for the people who work around here
Good to go there after long lapse of time. The environment has changed afair bit. Spacious for movement
A mall themed for family with young kids. The eateries are ok but other than the huge Toys R Us, everything else is just so so. There’s nothing memorable to return to when compared to other family malls such as Marina Square, Kallang Wave, Downtown East or Jewel.
Just love the kids shop here like Cotton on kids and ToysRus!
Will definitely visit this place again …
Newly opened Food Dynasty was a disappointment and not customer friendly. Doesn’t accept NETs or Paywave or even Paynow. Can only accept cash and their Own card. I left and ate somewhere else
Well managed mall. Its a mall targeted for family with young kids. However, a good mixture of Restaurant, pub, supermarket and food court makes it a good place to visit
lots of shops for kids
A bit small compared to newer malls but is equipped with most food outlets you’ll need. Food court has pretty good food. Bring along passion card for 10% discount on weekdays.
Kids friendly… Family friendly…5 star.
“Kids toilet” An impotant thing to consider in every mall and other public points for children to use the toilet/sink safely and effectively.
Nice place, good shops for Kids and babies, wide range of foods.
This shopping mall cater more to kids below 12years old. There are specialty shops, children clinics and enrichment classes here. Food and beverages can br found mostly at the lower floors. Quiet amd almost empty after 7pm
Beijing Malatang @United Square Food Junction is Tasty & Big Share.
Old but gold. Yes the mall may be out of the day but it’s still one of the better choice if you are looking for great food options. This mall mainly catered to kids and parents so you will expect a lot of children hanging around this mall.
Got to walk a long way there from mrt because of construction going on. Quite a nice place with different kinds of shop
You can find almost everything in this shopping centre. Pharmacy, supermarket, good food, tuition centres, and the location is quite central as Novena Station is just 7 minutes walk away. Bariuma is one of the top Japanese ramen restaurants in Sunday’s and it has a branch here.
The mall’s theme is kids mall suitable for the upper class residents around Novena with music, tuition and a preschool on the fourth floor. The mall is connected to Novena MRT through non-aircon tunnel with small escalator and no elevator.
Good malls for bringing kids. It has a lot of retail stores for kids, toys, and books. The baby room is also quite big to cater few babies with parent.
There are some tuition centers as well at here.
Its a shopping mall for families, fully equipped with kids friendly features. Even the garbage bins are animal shaped! The mall held’s shows and events that will want your kids to come back for more.
A big shopping mall, has a lot of stores of all kinds, and a lot of restaurants and cafes too. There’s also some embassies in the top floors. Overall a great shopping mall to go to for anything non-specific really.
United Square is a fairly big mall with everything you need. From fastfood to cafe to restaurants, and other usual shopping stuffs. It is a little walk from the Novena MRT, but it’s accessible. It is usually quieter than other heartland or city/downtown malls, so having a meal here should be quite a pleasant experience for those who prefers to dine in peace, away from the crowd.
Caters mainly to families with young kids (including a toys r us). They often have shows and events catering to kids. There is a good selection of food options there including a food court.
Busy during the weekends otherwise quiet during the weekdays! One of the shopping centres serving church goers and lower ends hotels nearby.
Lots of pricey food outlets but all on the pricey side. Clothings are reasonably priced. Daiso, Cold storage and Homefix are here. Very convenience with the MRT station at the basement
..
It’s a mall filled with kids activities. If you love kids screaming and running around like there’s no tomorrow, this is just the perfect place for you. Other than that, there’s a decent choices of great eateries and a Cold Storage supermarket.
Pro: good for kiddy stuffs. Few shops but it should be enough to get some new items for your little kids
Con: mainly 2 small floors for kiddy shops. Not many shops but at least all in the same mall
Supberb eateries. Loved it here always looking forward with sending my kids to classes in this classic vintage mall.
Small mall, good for kids stuff, tuition & enrichment centers, some eateries, a supermarket, a food court.
The cold storage has a decent selection. Little farms is good. A couple of decent options for wine with 1855 and wine connection. Can get very busy on Saturday mornings with all the kid’s education places in the building.
Nice place to shop around and also there is quite a number of food outlets. Cozy atmosphere !
Its an upmarket neighbourhood mall with lots of enrichment and learning centres for kids. Also, the products and services provided in the shops are kids-centric. Nursing rooms are available, hence convenient for parents with babies.
To get there:-
Drop off at Novena MRT, walk through the underground pass, as you exit the underpass, the mall is infront of you.
You will see a Starbucks cafe building infront.
coz its have, nice place and view
It’s ok. I only go there for the Popular Book Store and the Cold Storage. There is nothing much to see or go, to be honest unless you are shopping for young children.
A popular mall in the Novena area and easily accessible from Novena MRT station. Apart from its numerous tuition centres, there are several F&B outlets and a food court here. There is also a supermarket in the basement. Ample parking is available at this 4 storey high mall.
United Square is a very decent, small, neighborhood mall. The mall mainly appeals to children, with stores like H&M kids, Cotton On kids, Puma kids, and quite a few other clothing store for children. It is rather convenient and accessible by both bus and MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). Even though packed with many stores for kids such as Toys ‘R’ Us, it is not a good place for older audiences as they do not have many stores for the larger age group. Many tuition centers are located here, and it does have simple, and basic essentials such as a food court (an air-conditioned area for people to consume food), a supermarket, and a few fast-food restaurants. The mall near United Square, Velocity & Square 2, is relatively better as it has more shopping and dining options for older age groups. A decent mall which is easy to travel there.
I find this place not as crowded as other malls, with nice restaurants. Parking space is ample as well. There is a cold storage supermarket as well for your groceries needs.
I came here specially to eat at Bakerzin…. The wholeday breakfast menu, the cakes and coffee really very good that i bring my other friends to try out and they not only like the food, coffee as well as the cakes too. Cosy and warm welcome from service staffs plus aircondition very cooling especially when the weather so humid outside. Give it a thump up and will go again to try out the other menu as well.
By “virtue”of it being the further mall from the Novena station by a cross junction, the foot fall is less in the evenings. This makes it a nice place to get dinner, or go to the supermarket. There’s also a Toys R Us, a Mega electronics store, and a handful of wine and specialty food stores too, which are not available at the “sportier” focused Novena Square on top of the train station.
United Square is a kids friendly mall with a variety of shops and lifestyle options for both young and old. Located about 5 minutes walk via an underpass from Novena MRT. Bring your friends and family here for a fun day out. Enjoy yourself guys!
I really like this place because of the familiarity with the place but the 328 Katong Laksa is really good but the portion has been shrinking. Overall the place offers a very down to earth and generally safe vibe. Of course there’s renovations and changes every once in a while but I think the place is still very homely and would definitely go there for more years to come. Food Court and Roti Prata aren’t that bad at all also.
This Shopping Mall have some new Japanese Restaurant you can check it out yourself. This Menya Aoi is a new restaurant I just visit few day ago is really very nice. …
It’s another mall with lots of kids enrichment centre
Great hub for parents with kids. Anything you need like clothings, toys, necessities, and of cause the tuition centre. They organise quite often small events at the atrium as well. Few choice of F&B and the food is actually not too bad! If you are not a parent yet, this mall might not be too suitable for you though.
The de facto place for kids enrichment and kids retail shops. Also plenty of F&B outlets to satisfy differing palates. Check out the long time german pub at the basement level. It’s of iconic status here at this mall.
kids friendly mall with occasional exhibitions and performances during the holidays
United Square
An old shopping mall layout which had her upgrading several years ago. Relatively small medium mall which focus on young kids and toddler appeals and enrichment centre.
Update on Dec2017
Nothing much to shop at. Food wise, there is no Macdonald, BKs has gone, the foodcourt is located at the top end of the mall. Food stalls at this foodcourt are getting lesser. Overall, everything including foods are quite expensive. …
A mall finished with kids enrichment classes, kids apparel and restaurants.
Great mall with good variety of food and beverage options from fast food to food courts to restaurants. Retails shops are mainly child centric like Toys R Us. Also a lot of education enrichment centres. Very crowded on weekend with kids and parents. …
Got to walk a long way there from mrt because of construction going on. Quite a nice place with different kinds of shop
United Square Shopping Mall is the destination mall for families. Positioned as A Kids Learning Hub, United Square is truly the place for fun play and learn.
The mall is fully equipped with kids-friendly features from a luxurious nursing room, colour themed levels, spacious corridor walkways, play features right down to animal-shaped bins for your rubbish! There is also a state-of-the-art al fresco forecourt with F&B outlets for the whole family.
Kids will be truly entertained here with the pockets of play facilities and constant mall shows and events that are bound to make every kid come back for more.
Very convenient and a very busy place with young and old people
One of the nicest mall to shop for kids items.
Not a place for shopping due to limited choices. However, there are lots of eateries outlets. Parking fee is reasonable. You get $2 off (for first 40 customers) when you spent $40 min on weekends only.
Ok mall but hard to navigate around (too many corners and hideaways). Almost utilitarian to a fault – it caters to school going children and their parents. Some decent restaurants around, not awesome awesome, but definitely great for a quick bite. The basement supermarket is well stocked.
Some of my favourite restaurants are gone. Prices of food are expensive. Most tenants are complaining there rentals are high. The only survival are the tuition centres. The rest are bleeding.
Nice mall, more diverse shop choices would be nice
full of shops catered to children. many options for childrens clothing and a popular bookstore for their school supplies. theres also a toysaures. because theres a learning lab located here, the place is usually very crowded with children and loud with crying toddlers around the tuition centre.
This another mall cater to the surrounding residents but currently there a major road diversion due to heavy road work n messy during raining days
Quite interesting place, lots of food and shopping places nearby…
