Another mall with offices. Houses some interesting joints like Temple Cellars, for example. A bottle shop that allows on-site enjoyment of the wide range of craft beers on tap and in cans and bottles in the wall of refrigerators. UE square is located in the Mohamed Sultan dining and entertainment district. There’s also a hotel in that same complex.

Located on the fringe of Robertson Quay, this is not real mall but a hub for great grocery shopping and fine restaurants serving the condo and service apartment residents in this mix use complex.

There is a well stocked Cold Storage on L2, a wine cellar, butcher and some wonderful restaurants including Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese and even a Starbucks. Dutch Colony is a great coffee place, the pastas and pastry of La Pasteleria are also good but MOC Quan is the restaurant pulling in the crowds.

    We review

This mall is pretty quiet in the day. There are restaurants, a bar and a cafe here for dining. There is also a convenience store, which I guess gets most of its patron from nearby drinking establishments at night or from the nearby offices and condos. There are other beauty facilities like haircut, nails and massage, but they look quiet too. Nothing much to see but a short 3 mins walk from Fort Canning MRT.

  32. Avatar photo

A quiet place at 6p.m. Not a place for shopping except for grocery spree ( Cold Storage) and some bites. If you need to have some brain break, good to come here. There’s honestly nothing much going on here at this mall, other than some tuition and enrichment centres, some supermarkets, and some restaurants and cafes. They do try to bring in food places that will generate some night life, but the mall closes quite early at around 10pm.

You wouldn’t come here to shop around like you would Plaza Singapura or Raffles City. You’d be here specifically for something and then leave; like we were here to have a Japanese buffet dinner, nothing more.

Small shopping mall with mostly cafes and food shops on level 1, with a large Cold Storage Fresh on Level 2, likely the main reason people visit this mall. It’s in an older building and not really much atmosphere. The various cafes including a Starbucks are always busy though.

If you’re staying at one of the hotels nearby such as Park Hotel or Robertson Quay then this shopping centre will be very convenient. It has some essentials like an ATM, a supermarket and a few cafes and restaurants. Don’t expect a huge array of shops because this is not the place for that. I recommend Venus cafe for breakfast if you don’t wish to dine at the hotel buffet and are game enough to eat like a local.

This place has accessibility issues. The main lift (there is only one) does not go to the second floor (where Cold Storage and some of the kids’ stuff is – ie highly likely people would need to get the lift there). If you have a pram/wheelchair/mobility issues, you have to go outside, into the car park, and find the service lift. Very irritating. Also no automatic doors at the SafeEntry entrance. Hard for those with mobility issues.
