Wow I love the food here! Had the half soy garlic chicken and half yangnyum chicken. Chicken was moist and not oily. Not too jelak too. Fries were fried nicely and was a good add on. Also ordered the jjamppong stew and wow the jjampping flavour is good. Lots of seafood – octopus, mussel, clams and frozen prawn (not the fresh prawn type). The stew was a nice addition. Water was free and refillable. Portions were just right for 3 pax. Service was prompt and attentive too. Will return for their ice cream beer and fried chicken!

Went there Sat 5:30pm but almost full house… so advisable to make advanced booking. Friendly service staffs, nice spicy tokkbokki and fried chicken to go with beer. I ordered the jajangmyeon coz it included pork… but not up to my expectation.

Nice ambience for groups to gather and chill.

Menu items offered will fantastic and above average as compare to most Korean establishment sound tanjong pagar.

Recommend to order the japchae and tangsuyok. Nice portions for sharing of 3 to 4.

The pancake maybe a little too much flour that cause it to be too soft like bread instead of crispy, but the taste still ok.

Drinks selections is also not bad and adequate for groups to have an night’s out.

Visited there for late lunch around 2pm. Not many patrons in the house, but I’ve waited almost 1 hour to get my cheese fried rice and Japchae served Staff explained that they have plenty takeaway orders but I don’t think 1 hour of waiting is reasonable either. Food is okay (or probably just because we were too starved by then). No side dishes served for a Korean restaurant – that’s a big thumbs down .

I am giving 3 stars solely for the consistency of the food served here over the years. Every half a year I would return here for their original Korean fried chicken, jampong and tang su yuk! Although I noticed that the chef is no longer one of the twins, food served was still as good.

I took away 2 stars as service was almost non existent. You can try calling them or leaving them msgs on Facebook messenger and you would get no response. Also, the waiter who attended to us at the entrance couldn’t be bothered to ask more when we made the reservation but his iPad showed otherwise. He showed displeasure when he found out that my friend had arrived earlier and hence the discrepancy in the system. The ahjumma who served us was much nicer but she ended work quite early and there was zero service from then onwards.

Improve your service staff or you will end up losing your loyal customers over the years.

Big delicious french fries The shop is on the corner of the road. may be a little hard to find because the shop sign is small and is blocked by the roof I really like that the store plays Korean songs all the time, haha.

Our favourite Korean fried chicken place in the area. The chicken is always well fried, crispy even after being left on the table for more than 15 or 20 mins. No greasy feeling or aftertaste as well.

The chickens are well marinated with onion, lending a slight sweetness to the meat, which is not spectacularly juicy as you would get from the likes of KFC but is more flavourful.

The dipping sauce they provide also makes it less jelat.

We also regularly eat the japchae and budae jiggae here, both dishes definitely above average and very enjoyable. The budae jiggae is quite expensive for what you get though.

Service is very friendly and quick. Ambiance is spatious, simple and easy to lose a few hours to.

Came here with my colleagues after watching a tiktok video about this place. We had high hopes since it looked really good in the video.

Utterly disappointed. Although it may be $10 nett for the lunch set I highly DO NOT recommend this place.

Thing is Tanjong Pagar is full of good Korean places to eat and one of the signature things about Korean places is? Banchan right? This place gave zero banchan. I may have bought the set and $10 nett no banchan I can still tahan.

My friend bought their kimchi pork fried rice ala carte and she got zero banchan and had to pay $20 for just a bowl of rice that tasted meh. She could have went down the street elsewhere with banchan and where the food taste better and is around the same price.

Another thing, this place is NOT eco friendly. It is a restaurant but they serve the lunch set in dapao container even when you are dining in and they use disposable chopstick as well. Side tracking their spoon is not even the Korean spoon though its metal spoon.

I would have much rather paid $20 for my meal and went to Obba or Wang Dae Bak where the food actually makes me feel satiated and where there is banchan provided.

The only thing that I liked about this place was their boneless fried chicken with the powder cheese. It came out piping hot, super crispy and yummy. That is pretty much the only reason why I actually gave the food a one star rating. My friends gave this place zero stars (savage).

My advice? Take your money and go elsewhere. Tanjong Pagar is full of good Korean food stalls. You just anyhow throw a stone and you will surely find a Korean store better than this one.

This was recommended by a Korean friend. I yearn for good Korean friend chicken in this tiny red dot. Overall the place is nice and cosy. Ambient is clean. I like the glass roof very much.

As for the fried chicken, maybe we didn’t ask for very spicy version so it is rather mild sweet spicy. The chicken is fried well, crispy and the meat is juicy. A little disappointed with the pancake. Expect more crunch and more squid for 20 dollars. Hahaha. Salad is salad. Kiwi sauce is special but not amazing.

Overall a good place. Will come back again and try a spicier version. Strangely as a Korean restaurant they don’t provide some small dishes like marinated daikon, or fish cakes?! Lacks the homely touch and more of a bar feeling.

Juicy and tender chicken. Worth the price with Entertainer app. Portion is a bit small.

Seafood pancake has no taste though. The flour batter needs to improve and need to have more ingredients. However it is pan fried nicely as it is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.

Bingsu is nice and ice flakes are really soft !
Overall okay a nice place to have dinner and some drinks with your friends.

    Fried chicken at its best.
Crispy, moist, doesn’t stick to the bone and most importantly, not frozen.
Original flavour is a little too thick on the batter. Enjoyed Yangnum and Soy garlic flavour more.

Army soup is however too bland, ingredients bad and of poor value. Cheese which is the essence of Army stew, is barely noticeable. $40 for this shallow pot is absurd.

Special price for Soju and beer between 8-11pm.
May return again but only for the fried chicken and beer.

Probably the best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had here in Singapore. The chicken is really fresh and juicy! We didn’t find it oily at all. Also quite crunchy and the sauce is nice as well. They also have $15 lunch specials if you want to try the fried chicken in a smaller portion. I definitely will be back again. Only thing is, I wish they had a special on beer during lunch time because one beer is $15 and that’s kind of steep. Would be nice to enjoy one with lunch if it was cheaper.

One of my go to places for army stew if I’m in the area! Hits the spot every time. It’s a pretty big portion (feeds about 3-4 pax, costs $40) so it’s really worth. Love the kimchi pancake here too! Best to call ahead to book a spot though, it can get full even on weekdays.

We used to really like coming here and it used to draw quite a crowd. The day we came recently, it was surprisingly quiet. The food isn’t bad but we both felt that it’s not the same as before and not quite as good. We suspect the cook changed. The chicken is still, of course, decent. The jjajang-myeon is not bad but didn’t taste homemade. The tteokbokki is still good. If you want kkanpunggi, this is not the place. It tastes totally different than it should. Not bad, but not the right dish. Overall, still not a bad place by any means but not our first choice. Also, the three stars is a bit generous. I’d bump it down to two and a half if I could. Why? Because they charge fifty cents a piece for the wet napkins that they put on the tables. It’s a fried chicken restaurant. They should be free.

Unethical! Read a few reviews about the small portion size here. Ordered two portions of half chicken. Both portions were missing the thigh part. Not sure if they do this to all their customers. Flavours (sweet&spicy and soy garlic) were not bad. They currently offer 20% discount but I guess the 20% is from the missing thigh.

Ordinary food & service. The army stew was a huge disappointment. The buffalo wings were so so. The japchae was tasty though a tad too sweet. There are many other better & equally affordable Korean food options to go.

One of the best Korean fried chicken places in Singapore! Freshly fried with a thin batter that coats each chicken. The Original and YangNyeom versions are our fave. We also love the tteokbokki (add ramen!)

Crispy chicken in different sauces. Nice but not superb.

The seafood noodle is reason for me returning, spicy but tasty.

The portion is a bit small in my opinion.

My friends like the ice cream beer, something special served here.

The day we came recently, it was surprisingly quiet. The food isn’t bad but we felt not quite as good. We suspect the cook changed. The chicken is decent. The jjajang-myeon is bland and sweet not rich , and didn’t taste homemade.

Once you pop, you can’t stop. Best k-fried chicken in Singapore. The crunch on first bite is like a tv ad from the sound of the crunch to the groans of the consumer. Several flavours all worth trying but the original with a side of spicy sauce should do the trick. Get some noodles to slurp down the chicken.

Jjamppong is so delicious! The flavor is just right, and the quantity is generous and delicious. However, I also ordered sweet and sour pork, but the quantity was small compared to the price and the tempura was unique. It contains a lot of oil and is crispy. I recommend the champon.

Make a reservation at 930pm on ndp, I am aware they will be closed at 11pm and I have the plans to try their army stew. The waitress on duty that evening took the effort to call me to inform the last order will be at 1030pm as they will be closing at 11pm. I acknowledged and proceed with my plans and she was very caring to attend to my stew to make sure I can eat as soon as possible in a relax mood. The service and food were ordinary. The location and the ambiance was okay. I ordered a grapefruit soju, and and from the pictures in the menu, I thought it was a jug with real grapefruit slices. But, it was a bottle of grapefruit flavoured soju. That was disappointing. I thought the food was expensive. Having said that, I enjoyed the time here.

We visit twins almost at alternate months, and always find their food quality and service very consistent – well done! great korean fried chicken and jjampong soup or noodle bowl. One of our favourite korean joints at Tanjong Pagar. The chefs/owners are identical twins, native Koreans whom started this restaurant some 6-7 years ago.
Over the years, I personally felt the menu focussed on originality and authenticity of primary korean food taste. While there is still room for improvement (KFC batter greasiness), overall a special gem hidden from the main road. Please join me to continue support them for the many years to come. Additional pics included – great for groups with soju/beer bomb!
    Highly recommended:
    1) jjampong (spicy seafood noodles)
    2) half & half KFC original + soy garlic/yangyum
    3) bokumbap (kimchi fried rice with pork)

A nice place at the corner of the street which used to be a Japanese restaurant. The lunchtime crowd was not too crowded so no worries about the need to queue here.

Ordered the soya-garlic chicken (half portion), it comes with 6 pieces of chicken … all well marinated. The portion is a bit small which half size is just nice for 1 person. Considering it cost $20 for a half chicken, price was not cheap but worth the try. The chicken are crispy and juicy, the only complain that I had is that the portion is not enough for me (I have to admit that I usually eat slightly more than others).

Service was good and staff are quite friendly here.
