However, the mandatory rounding function to the nearest 1000 THB or nearest 100EUR is too big a jump, especially when coupled with their min S$400 per currency – you’re forced to change more than necessary. Chanced upon Thin Margin via Google search because I had a lot of extra foreign loose notes/ currencies that were unused from previous overseas trips, and wanted a convenient way to exchange these to SGD seamlessly.

Used the delivery service and I am so impressed. It came on time, the delivery person ensured he did the necessary identity check etc. and the whole transaction was fuss-free (delivery timeslots are plenty so it’s flexible if you don’t need the money very urgently). To be safe I suggest booking 2 weeks in advance to have a choice on delivery slots. The only feedback I have is that I had wanted to avail of the pocket WiFi too and I could not seem to figure out how to get the bundle via their website. I had to give up in the end but of course their main business is currency exchange which I’m truly happy about and will 100% recommend. Will definitely use this service again in future!

Used Thin Margin’s services twice, once when they first started and again for some upcoming trips. Their rates are competitive and service is quick, friendly and consistent. I ordered currency late on Sat night and received them on Mon morning! It’s good for busy professionals like me who do not have the time or flexible schedule to be queueing for money changers. Only downside is that their system auto-rounds up the amount being changed such that everything comes in big notes, but it’s a small matter as convenience matters more

Website was not working when I had tried to use it. Texted their WhatsApp number and had a prompt response. Informed them that I wanted the currency’s the next day even though they have a 2 day notice and they arranged for it. Also made sure I got the currency at the earliest possible time. Tried Thin Margin after reading about them. Called with various questions on procedure since it was my very first time changing money online. Was happy with communication, answers to all my questions
and was pleasantly surprised that the rate for the Vietnamese Dong that I needed was far better than what was offered by any of the half dozen or so popular moneychangers around town. When I commented on this, they were even frank enough to admit that their rates for the more popular currencies like the ringgit wouldn’t be quite as competitive. Anyway I changed some Dong, added a pocket WIFI and everything was promptly delivered in a sealed envelope as promised. Upon returning from my trip the pocket wifi was collected by a courier after a simple phone call. Very efficient, will definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Not sure if it’s the best value compared to the physical shops since I never compared the prices, but definitely the most convenient, efficient and responsive money exchanger you could find in Singapore, have been exchanging money with them for 3-4 times now since last June.
First-time customer. Replied to all my questions in whatsapp. Transaction during delivery within 5mins. Everything is sealed. Received correct amount of cash (bought currency) and received payment in my bank account right away (sold currency). Overall, it is a very convenient and easy transaction.
Conversion is also mid value, a bit lower when you google but same with other money changers.
Highly recommended for time saving and traveling convenience. Rates are definitely better at money changers in CBD, however, it saves me the hassle of having to queue for both the ATM and money changer. That being said, rates are still decently good. This is my second time dealing with Thin Margin and I have to say, I’m impressed. The first time, I had the delivery done to my home.
