    Had a wonderful staycation at this opulent looking hotel. Didn’t disappoint. Room was spacious and luxurious.

    Most impressed by their breakfast buffet, with a menu of ala carte items included in the buffet. My favourite was the omelette with lobster sauce. Each dish was well prepared and lovely!

    One small hassle was the lack of check-in counter staff. Only two staff available, so have to wait a bit to get anything done.

    I’ve always wanted to try St. Regis and thought it was a good time to celebrate my husband’s birthday there. I’ve booked a penthouse garden suite from 26th Feb and checked out on 28th Feb. During my checkin, the reception lady staff was sharp enough to point out that I must be here to celebrate my spouse’s birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe she saw the details of the guests while processing the checkin.

    The first impression was fine, basic hospitality and we proceeded to the room at 2009, view and all ok. However, we had to change our room to 1803 due a sudden discovery of my daughter who were ART + that evening.

    Although the next room was also on the same stack, it was definitely not the same as a penthouse room which I’ve booked. We spent our 2 nights in a room that I did not book but we understood the reasons behind it. I was disappointed when the hotel did not place enough empathy or care to us and as much as I was expecting a greeting card, a welcome drink or snacks or even a slice of surprise cake for the birthday celebrant on the second day, there was none. To be honest, this is the only 5 star hotel which I’ve stayed which didn’t really have a warm touch. The housekeeping was ordinary and no replenishment of beverages. My husband called for replenishment of the beverages in the afternoon before we left the room for shopping. 6 hours later when we returned, it was still unreplenised. No turndown service, no nothing, cold or no service at all.

    I have nothing to look forward in this hotel and honestly, my family will not return. I will also not recommend to any of my friends and relatives. For the price, the service is not up to mark at all.

    We had a very nice experience! One-night staycay in the Grand Deluxe guest room with Botanic Garden view on the 10th floor (incl. dinner and breakfast) for our wedding anniversary.

    Just a downer that the heater in the wet spa lounge was under maintenance, so we couldn’t fully enjoy that part of our stay (and that was also a separate charge of $35/person). Otherwise a good experience overall.

    I used to love the St Regis. 9 out of 10 times for work or leisure I’d stay here. This is also easily my 25/26th time staying at St Regis.

    Changing my review from 5 star to 3. For a 5 star hotel, you’re paying for not just the room but also the service. But the last 3 times I’ve stayed at this hotel this year (2022), not only did the key card malfunction a few times during a 1-2 week, but the staff is understaffed and undertrained. I ordered a stack of RAT tests and asked the staff to bring to my room and it was an insisted NO all the way. Their logic is that they don’t want outside people to contaminate the hotel for hygiene reasons, but it really made a lot of sense to send a potential Covid patient down to the lobby to spread Covid to other hotel guests huh?

    Staycation for 2 adults with an infant.

    The room we got was spacious with a nice bath. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. The 24hr butler service was an added perk. It is also infant friendly.

    For breakfast- the food selection was huge. I enjoyed the food but the service could be improved. We had to wait at least 10 minutes before we got a waitress take our order. The breakfast restaurant was packed.

    Other than that we enjoyed our stay at St Regis. It is walking distance to botanic garden, we walked here with baby on both days.

    In terms of price – it reasonable. We wouldn’t mind staying there again!

    For over $1000 a night, they were completely understaffed. Checking in took over an hour, they didn’t give us the guaranteed connecting rooms we were promised in writing, we had to raise our case badly to a manager to finally get it (an hour later).
    Room service took over 1.5 hours to arrive, the children starved until 9pm. We had to call them 5 times to check what was happening with the order.
    Room keys had to be changed after 2 days because they stopped working.
    Breakfast at brasserie les saveurs tasted like frozen ingredients reheated (waffles, prawns, even the mini croissant and pastries tasted like frozen food reheated, awful awful)
    One staff made a face and stared at us when we made an error in ordering.
    Butler service never came.. we had to remind every request at least twice.
    Truly an awful yet overpriced experience

    The experience of staying in one of the luxurious hotels in Singapore is so worth it. The ambiance feels cozy, warm and inviting.

    Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Simple call to the concierge will grant your request, they even gave you a complimentary cake upon arrival (special requests when booking).

    Food is amazing and taste great, you can tell if you have special requests for your food in advance, food allergies, less salt, less spices or whatsoever you desired.

    Cuisines comes in different flavors, from western to local cuisines with special menus for the day.

    Pool facilities and gym facilities needs to be booked in advance, once check in as per covid protocols.

    Of course not all is all good and perfect our experience was a mixed bag of good and bad, like booking a pool on the first day. We were unable to book because it was fully booked, even though there were no one using the pool.

    Food served was a bit salty on the salmon, but that salmon was amazing, it feels like butter that melts in your mouth once eaten.

    Breakfast time was 3 out of 5, we arrived around 1015 for a late breakfast or just a brunch, but was served around 1110 and they forgot one of our menu and replaced it with another one, since that was the only thing available. They are preparing for lunch time, last order is around 1030.

    All in all it was an amazing experience, definitely recommended and will come again.

    Good but not Great. Pleasant stay but lacking in the smaller details that make it great.
    The location is wonderful to access orchard road, the rooms are spacious and in perfect working order.
    Service however feels a bit lethargic and rusty. 1)when I arrived, it took a while for the porter to notice me unloading suitcase from vehicle before rushing over apologetically to help.
    2)Check in, check out was also laborious with insufficient overworked staff and queues. The hotel needs to realise that not everyone want to use mobile apps for express checkout. On holiday, people may want to go phone free in favor of more personal interaction.
    Finally I would say that the hotel can be too complicated for its own good.
    1)in the room, lighting is based on mood selection. If I choose ‘reading’ then room is bright but ‘bathroom’ is dark and vice versa. ‘night’ is both dark. But cannot have both on. All in all too clever for own good. Better to let people self control.
    2)breakfast also need to book table. If preferred time is not available then cannot dine in room or do takeaway box. So basically people need to work around hotel than vice versa. Totally get the govt covid constraints but it is up to the hotel to make more tables available in a different room.

    Overall the hotel is okay, not terrible. Just not quite hitting full potential. As an overseas Singaporean bringing my foreigner family back to my country for holiday, I am sad that the impression they got wasn’t better.

    I’m working there and we’re allowed to only drink syrup mixed with water (cold) and hot drinks like coffee etc (packet).

    There’s no soft drinks dispenser machine if you want to consume it.

    And the transparent plastic tupperware used for putting staff’s meals are also extremely undelicious too.

    And since CNY is just around the corner, the hotel would rather give the staffs working there a $30 NTUC vouchers instead of cash perhaps because of discount when it’s being purchased in large quantity for all of the staffs working there!

    I must leave a 5-star review for the most memorable experience during our 3-day stay which is the egg dishes in their breakfast menu.

    We were late for our breakfast on the last day (entered at 10.58am and they are supposed to close at 11am). Despite being the last order, the mixed omelette served is PERFECT in terms of taste and appearance!! We can tell the Chef must be very patient and put 101% effort even for the last egg dish.

    Brassiere Les Saveurs is one of my favourite restaurants in Singapore with good food, ambience and service. I specially have to mention Manesh for providing an attentive and efficient service. I must give compliment to Katie, the assistant manager who was capable to handle customer’s complaint and took quick actions to rectify the situation. Katie was sincere and really listened to me when I complained to him about the poor service which I experienced in Yan Ting and he immediately made an excellent service recovery. I was also impressed by Mr. Vijayakumar for his follow up actions which made me felt the hospitality of St. Regis Singapore. Thank you Katie and Mr. Vijayakumar for making my husband’s birthday celebration stay a very pleasant one. And also made me feel that I was valued as an elite member of Marriott.     Beautiful and clean cosy room. However, the staying experience is not the best as it seems. Breakfast waiting for our dish and hot tea and coffee takes at least 15 mins. The breakfast service is not consistent as the the next day they did not clear the used plates and let it pile up on our table while we are still having our breakfast.

    Had a one night stay on the first weekend of 2023 at St Regis. Also my first time staying here. I’d have to say that the service is the closet thing to perfect.

    Started off perfectly as the staff gave us some drinks and cakes to have while wait in line for our check in. Very attentive staff. So it was really sweet.

    The room was also really luxurious. It’s really a 5 star experience. We took their entry level room. It was really good. They also went the extra mile by cleaning up our room in the middle of the day when we went out for dinner.

    Great location at the heart of Orchard.

    Breakfast at their hotel restaurant was one of the best and lived up to the reviews I’ve read. They even had a epicurean eggs which came with a lobster bisque reduction so that was really good. Selections were also quite a few. Wasn’t disappointed at all. And great quality food too.

    We enjoyed our stay very much. Hard to fault them for anything. Highly recommended.

    Stayed at multiple St Regis properties around the world, and I have stayed at this property pre-covid, where the service was stellar and I had nothing bad to say. At the moment, the service is beyond ridiculously bad, waiting for an overloaded breakfast tray to be cleared from my room for 50mins.. and everytime I called in room dining to ask if anyone is coming, they just repeat the lie that someone is on the way, called 4 times, as well as the butler service several times. Even asking to speak to management, led to further delays and more lies that someone from management will be calling me back, and instead I got sent a senior butler to get the tray out that he is a rep for management?! It’s so unbelievable. Instead of flagging up the issue , they tried to avoid getting management involved, or management think it was not worth their time. Also piling up plates on a tiny tray instead of bringing a table trolley is asking for a disaster to happen. Extremely extremely poor service, definitely not staying here again. Not worthy of the St Regis name. Very disappointed at the service.

    Truly an amazing Staycation! I really enjoyed my stay even though it was just a 1 night stay. The room was so comfortable and luxurious and the facilities are really well-maintained. The hospitality also top-notch. To top it off, there is a 24/7 butler service where you can order 3 free welcome drinks of your choice and you can also get the butler to prepare a complimentary bubble bath. The lobby is really grand as well. As for the room, I stayed in a deluxe twin room and it was really spacious and filled with multiple amenities!     Stayed at St Regis for a birthday celebration. Service was great, and the room was one of the nicest and most comfortable hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I don’t think the furniture looked dated – if you’re not partial to this style, there are lots of other hotels with more modern furnishing.

    I would like to commend several people at St Regis. Michelle is my wedding coordinator and she has played a key role in making our wedding a success. She helps to answer a lot of questions and gives us reassurance that everything is fine. She pays attention to the little details and request that we put up. Overall, we are very happy working with her for the past one year.

    Caroline’s Mansion is just beyond gorgeous, especially with the flower arrangement done by CCLee design, it really took our breath away.

    Our WC Michelle, is EXCEPTIONAL! We know we are in good hand from the moment we meet her. She had been very patience and understanding for the past 8 months. She always took an extra miles to assist us on every little details. My PWS shoot at St Regis was awesome becos of Michelle. Weeks before our wedding, any hiccups she always got it settled for us even without us notice. Be it check in suite, wines, foods or even decor. On our wedding day, she is there for us since morning Solemnisation till banquet start, our wedding is such hassle-free mainly becos of Michelle, she is just like our extra pair hands really cant imagine without her.

    Our bridal assistant, Rui Er is really very helpful, she is always adjusting my gown, my hairs, and make sure i got enough drink and food. She is always by my side the whole evening, helped me with my gown, spec and phone!

    Banquet Mgr, Naresh is very patience and great help for the night! He is very polite and helpful too, when he saw that we were left behind with our props, he helped us to deliver everything to our suite.

    Chef Lung and his team are AMAZING, the foods all taste great and the food portion are just right!! My guests keep give me good comments and feedback on how nice the food was! Thumb up to the kitchen team! Our dinner will not be complete without them! Only feedback is that all were so excited when they saw the whole suckling pig presented but soon became very disappointed when only served with 2 pcs thin skin & no meat.

    Concierge team are great too! They are always very helpful and prompt in assisting us even our guests.

    Also we like to feedback that the bridal suite given to us even we top up and upgraded to next tier got no suite benefits and not exclusive at all. The management might want to consider on improve on this. Bridal suite should always be one of the signature perks exclusively for the St Regis wedding couple and not just throw in any room and expected us to call it “bridal suite”.

    The rooms and service here ooze luxury. Everything has been really well thought out down to small touches like a bundled and labelled HDMI cable connecting to the TV. The only downside (apart from the price) is you didn’t feel like you wanted to go anywhere!

    Quietness: 5/5 – no street noise and minimal corridor noise
    Space: 5/5 – largest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in (560 sqft!), the bathroom alone is the size of most bedrooms! Additional sofa (with coffee table), desk and window seat provided plenty of seating options
    Comfort: 5/5 – huge bed and comfortable seating
    Temperature: 5/5 – a/c was able to go down to 18C for a good night’s sleep
    Amenities: 5/5 (empty) fridge, teas, coffees and cafetiere provided.

    Overall 5/5 – most expensive hotel room I’ve stayed in, but well worth it if you want to spoil yourself!

Very professional staff, excellent facilities (room upgrade, pool, spa, lounge, everything you need for a staycation). Must try: the breakfast is amazing, make sure to go early so you don’t miss the last order. One small thing: we had to wait for quite some time in the Aston Bar for the food we ordered. Other than that, everything is perfect.

    I have to give St. Regis a 5 stars for my stay there. Every aspect of this stay is exemplary of what a 5 stars hotel should be like from checking in, dining, room services, the lounge and checking out. The staffs are warm, helpful and very professional. I would like to especially thanks the front desk manager Syikin, the staffs at the French Restaurant and Astor Bar for making my daughter’s and wife’s birthday an exceptionally memorable one.

    To make this a fair and unbiased feedback, I have to state one small problem which is the location, which doesn’t pose a problem to me – It’s not right in the middle of Orchard road. But if you choose the room properly, you will have a great view of Singapore Botanical garden, which is nice 8).

    So still 5 stars.

Recently purchased some Gift Certificate and was expected that a courier service or registered mail can be arranged. But nope, it’s backend replied was not in their service, only normal mails arrangement is allowed. To our worries, all the paid vouchers might be lost in mail so we have to collect it personally at the hotel.

Do improve your staff training in terms of such difficult request.     A serious disappointment for a supposed 6 star hotel. For 1k a night, you are better off at the Holiday or Hilton down the street and using all their services. Let me explain.

    At first extry, everything was nice. Definatly a wow factor when you first see everything. Exotic woods, hard lacquered everything, and stone everywhere.

    That was just about it for the pros.

    When we first arrived, they took our luggage. We sat down with a lady who had serious attitude and culturally insensitive. Unless you are a rich white person or a east indies person like her, don’t expect to be treated with your average great customer service with a friendly smile at a hotel check in. The cultural in sensitive part, Asians sometimes are highly superstitious. When they are on holiday, some don’t like room number 1 4, it literally means “must die” if translated and nobody wants that hanging over their head. Although she did change it upon request, the friendly service was just not there. It seemed like she had a really bad day and didn’t want to be there. She just quickly wanted to get rid of us without the normal professional attitude. It kind of made us feel like we weren’t rich enough for her time. My kiddo started crying from her vibe. Her and my wife had to go over the contract a couple of times do to their accents. The staff was obviously fustrated and carried the tone. Luckily a nice worker noticed and stopped by and gave my son a teddy bear to distract him. It was very nice of him and definatly helped the situation. She perked up a little after that maybe realizing her demeanour, but too little too late.

    I included shots of the room we had. It was nice at first, but if you are modern, don’t expect to have full use of your media tools. Also, the place could use some repairs.

    Although the TV is able to mirror your phone, it won’t transfer your sound into the bose sound system. We basically had baby shark playing from the TV speakers which is really bad quality. Like I said, might as well get a nice room at the Hilton or hotel if you want to be able to play some music in the room or stream stuff. I called down to let them k ow the issue, they sent a technician who tried multiple times to get it to work and even tried plugs to hook directly up to my phone. Nothing worked and they left it at that. No further follow up.

    Once you settle in, you will notice the little things. The grout between the stone is poorly done in the bathroom. There is dirt and insect legs in the corners. Furniture has chips, walls are dirty and has cracks, shoe horn is broken, tp isn’t soft whatsoever, and when the water drains from any drainage, you hear a symphony of water draining from somewhere.

    They have daily press serive with a 2 hour wait. I sent our garments at 6ish, but did not receive them back till we requested them the next morning when it never came back. I was hoping to use my garments the day of, but again, disappointed.

    Bottom line is, for 1k, we expect a certain level of professionalism and hotel maintenance. It’s what the extra money is for. We did not get that. We might as well have gone to a different hotel and paid for the few services we used and got better service for a better price in a hotel more well kept and less run down. I mean come on, they tried to fix a tear with masking tape…. how hard is it to fill with puddy, sand down and wall paper it again?

    If you are a jet setter looking for a place to crash and dont care for any of the details, its a decent place if you have the money to burn. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else~

    St Regis was our wedding venue because we loved their Caroline’s Mansion ballroom that has high ceilings, beautiful arches on the wall and very modern, it’s not a stuffy ballroom. The food on our wedding day was good. Lots of praise from the guests. We had the Chinese menu. The freshness and quality was of high standards. We were also very happy that everything went smoothly during the wedding, and our coordinator Christine was meticulous and efficient in helping us plan our wedding. The best perk was having a wedding assistant that accompanies you throughout the event and mine was very courteous and helpful. We stayed at the St Regis suite which was very beautiful, well maintained and clean. The soft bed was like sleeping on clouds. There were some things we hope could have been better but overall really happy with the experience at St Regis.

The service is not even worthy of being rated – it took an hour if not more to get coffee. The food ordered in, in room dining – please don’t ever order the pizza or the pita with hummus.     The hospitality experience was meh. The front desk personnel who checked me in didn’t know about safe entry via token. She also made sure that I was aware of all the penalty charges, a tad too much. It was a surprise for a posh hotel to not have adequate hospitality training for the staffs. Another area that I found lacking was the inconsistency of their butler service. One time I was served by a butler who brought me a wrong order and when I asked her to clear away, she asked me why I didn’t want it. To make matter worst, when I called in to tell about the wrong order, the butler showed hint of frustration.

    Fortunately, those were one time events but it was one time too many. The executive deluxe room was dated but nice and luxurious. The bath tub was the highlight of the stay. I was glad that they provided TWG teas in room and breakfast. The service staffs at the breakfast area were polite and professional and the foods selection was standard but limited.     I had the best experience at this St. Regis. I had to travel for work during Valentines Day. My husband called the hotel to ask if there was a way he could have flowers and chocolate sent to my room. I had no idea. When I walked into my room, I had the most beautiful bouquet of flowers in my favorite colors. It was amazing.

    Highly recommend. The bathtubs are amazing, the pool is glorious, and the gym has a good amount of weights and other equipment.

    Mind-blowing!
    Christine Wang, Senior Events manager – Wedding, is one of the true unsung heroines of our wedding day and instrumental to its great success! We cannot thank her enough for all the help she provided from start to finish. What surprised us was her readiness and willingness to go the extra mile for her clients.

    For example, on our first meeting (7 months before the wedding) she was already helping us brainstorm quality vendors and ideas for our wedding, even without us asking. We later decided on a Disney fairytale wedding with the theme as . Down the road we had a multitude of requests, but she met them all with grace. We recalled one incident where we had an idea for cake design, and she carried the dummy cake (that’s like a person’s height) all the way to her desk to help do measurements and placement mockups. And another time when we had an idea for wedding favours and she volunteered to help us with it. And another time, where we had some urgent last minute hotel room booking requests, she pulled all her strings to make it happen. There’s just too many to name, and it’s especially the little acts that leave an impression. She impressed us in every way possible by always choosing to go the extra mile for her clients.

    We hope St Regis would value Christine as much as we have, and that our small note of appreciation would reflect positively in her future career. We sincerely believe that she will go far with her impeccable attitude and competency. Thank you so much again Christine and God bless! ️

The gym is pathetic, and the first morning there was a line of 20 people to get into breakfast, and it was not a line that actually moved.     First time trying the St Regis chain. Whilst the St Regis Langkawi was superb in all aspects from delicious food to the extremely friendly service from the staff, our following stay at the St Regis SG falls short of this standard. The room feels dated and the toilet was blocked on a couple of occasions. The service was dismal, and concierge couldn’t even help with a minor request such as recommending a local laundry service nearby the hotel. Such a shame for a 5 star hotel and at that price range, we expected more.

    It’s hard to pick anything specific when every aspect of a property conveys attention to detail. The staff are extremely helpful in every interaction. The property is luxurious and architecturally impressive. The South Asian art displayed throughout is compelling.     Stayed here for two weeks as the JW Marriott (my usual go to hotel) was still closed. The stay was decidedly mediocre. A few observations:

    1. I’m not sure how to describe service at the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and polite but on the most part lacked polish and basic initiative. Eg, I’ve never had hotel staff see me and close the elevator door on me (and this was me with a loud toddler and carrying an infant). The door started to close on us and another hotel guest held the door.
    2. Breakfast is an absolute disaster. Long wait times are the least of it. Dishes you don’t order arrive and some dishes you order never do. Staff also constantly placed hot drinks in front of my toddler.
    3. On random multiple days housekeeping never made up the room. The housekeeping standard also varied widely from day to day. There was at least one day when a trash can with diapers was not emptied.
    4. Corridors were a mess as lots of guests were ordering room service or takeout and would place the dirty dishes/leftover food outside the room when done. Not sure how often the corridors are cleared. (Lots of staff walking the corridors but would not call the cleanup staff to come)
    5. Nicest staff were at the spa and pool

    Not a hotel we will stay at again.

    I am writing as an overall experience with St. Regis given that it is 5-star hotel.

    1. Room unavailable upon check-in
    I made an request for early check-in (understood is subject to availability) and came around 3:16pm for check-in (when the check-in time is suppose to be at 3pm). I was told that my room was not ready and I will need to wait for awhile (around 30-45 mins). During the registration process (around 15 mins), the room became available. I have also request for late check-out (understood is subject to availability) but was told not able to. Hence, checking out 12 pm on the next day. Given that this is 5-star hotel, why there is a delay in checking guest into the room ? Guest comply the request of check-out time but hotel is unable to comply to check-in time. My other friend who also experienced the same which only able to get their room much later upon check-in time.

    2. Understaffed
    There are a few occasions where I had saw/encountered understaffed which result in slow of services.
    2.1 Request Iron board
    While I understand that there is butler services to do garment pressing, due to time constraint (garment pressing service would need to wait for awhile and I needed to iron clothes urgently for an event), I had made a call on iron board request. However, waited for awhile, the iron board has not arrive result in another call made.
    2.2. Breakfast buffet service
    I was sitting beside a group of couple and they had order a pot of tea, avocado toast and brioche french toast. But because the service was slow, they had already left the area. The table was clean, new cutlery were placed and new guests had seated. Then, their items only arrived to the table. The new guests were as appalled given that they only ordered coffee.
    2.3 Require to wait for checkout service
    As there were only 2 staffs at reception area, I had to wait in order to checkout where another 5 star hotel I went already implemented express checkout where door card is placed in a box. Upon waiting, another pair was queuing up for reception service.

    3. Unclear explanation from staff
    During breakfast service, when asked the staff what types of drinks they served, the staff replied coffee and tea. It was then later discovered by another staff that there are different type of coffee such as latte, cappuccino etc.
    While my friend who ordered tea was given English Breakfast tea, it is also later discovered from surrounding table that there were other types of teas such as peppermint tea.
    Since there is QR code to view the breakfast menu, why such information is not written in the menu ?

    4. Lack of hospitality/ adding plus point to hotel
    4.1 Beverage Service from butler
    “Upon arrival, allow a St. Regis butler to arrange coffee or tea service in your room.”
    There was not such service provided upon check-in nor being informed of such service
    4.2 Already mentioned on iron board upon check-in
    Upon getting the room late and staff provided alternative on opening another room, I had already mentioned that I needed to iron my clothes. Hence, upon check-in, if such information like garment pressing service or request for iron board to be in the room had made, it would have been much more appreciated. Rather than entering the room and discovered that there is no iron board after searching thoroughly and made a call.
    4.3 Welcome message name title was wrong
    As stated, such information could easily be verified given that the person who made the booking needed to do registration process.
    4.4 No alternative for iphone user to use screen mirror to Samsung TV
    While not all users are android user, some users (like us which own iPhone) was unable to use screen mirror to Samsung TV. The technician came and concluded it too.

    Overall, it is hard to believe this was 5 star hotel treatment I had received given that I had stayed at Marriott’s hotel in Dubai with same star rating. The overall experience defer me from staying with St. Regis in the future.

    I must say, st regis does fall short of expectations. With it being a five star hotel, there are certain expectations. Staff seem to be just going through the motions which is a pity. It was my dad’s birthday and though a cake and chocs were arranged in the room, there wasn’t any effort at all by front desk to wish him happy birthday even though he was there at check in. Service from the heart can be felt, and that was certainly lacking here at St Regis. Sure, everyone is tired and overworked, but if Andaz can provide extra mile awesome service, why not St Regis? The rooms are large, especially the bathroom. But the furnitures look worn out and dated. Windows face other condos and there’s a sense of lack of privacy. The seats by the windows look lux but are hard as rock. There are no nice facilities (pool looks dated), and there’s no complimentary minibar. Nitpicking here but my surname on the tv screen had small and big caps in the wrong format (eg cHUA instead of Chua. I mean, can’t you even type my name properly?). The butler service with bubble bath set up and complimentary drinks were good but read all these from reviews and not really known from front desk (the drinks had to be ordered within certain time periods which I find kinda inflexible). During breakfast, each guest can order 2 mains but unfortunately I was only served one (they forgot about the other and so did I till I went back up to my room and realised they didn’t serve my other main -.-). These amongst a series of other mistakes and reminders (ordered warm water and other food which didn’t arrive till I asked). Aircon was also too cold and couldn’t be changed (temperature jumps back to 19 degrees after switching it no matter which mode I chose till I had to switch it off). All in all, it was an okay stay, but for a five star hotel, it can really do much better.
