This place has abundant parking, fantastic food options, and is not crowded. Great to have a casual day out with family or just a nice meal.

The grandstand is an upmarket place for food, mainly. It offers up a wide array of restaurants along the main stretch on the first floor, ending with Pasar Bella at the end. There are many gourmet stalls and I especially enjoy buying the beef from James Butchery. A nice place to wind down, perhaps have a coffee.

So so…limited eating and shopping places. If you drive, must be careful as roads are poorly maintained. Many large potholes and humps. Car park will flood during heavy rain.

Parking is free at Grandstand. There are many nice restaurants and stalls. There is a Hao Paradigo with many Malay food stalls.

Lots of restaurants and eating choices at Pasar Bella.
Many shops and activities catered for kids, as well as a big supermarket. Free parking (though it’s not sheltered)!

Patronised the ” hawkers centre” behind ” Hao Mart”. As usual, excellent hainanese chicken rice. Also, just next door, was the very good “JB bao”– bought 2 large pau for breakfast tomorrow. Also the glutinous rice caught my eye.
ALl in all, a very nice mix of comfort food reasonably priced & good eating.

There was lots of variety of food at the chatuchak market when i go. Great selection of food available if there is any special outdoor market available . Not a place i would go frequently.

Home to several high end dining options. There is a Giant supermarket with freshest stuff of all the chains, PasarBella, salons, and music schools alike. Plenty of auto dealers on the outside, and parking is free. The drawback is that the place is quite inaccessible (either you drive, take a walk from main road, or take shuttle bus from certain pickup points).

Looks very run down tonight. The interior is still bad, really bad. Wouldn’t intentionally come over unless there’s great food.

Food is fantastic, my entire family young or old enjoyed the dinner. Service wasnt prompt enough probably due to CNY. 1 concern about the mgmt, they seem to be quite flexible with capacity despite having a mandate >5 pax per table. Witnessed some large groups during CB so if ure concerned, u can avoid.

Quite rundown with a lot of unfinished areas still exposed. The second level was a maze of walkways with little signage, didn’t really want to venture up to explore the upper levels. One nice eatery (Social Outcast) near the main road and some okay makan places on the ground floor inside, but nothing more. A quaint experience overall. Probably won’t be back.

We went there last Saturday, 16 October 2021 late morning to attend a Malay Wedding.
We were dropped at the South Entrance unexpectedly.
We had to walk all the way to the North Entrance, through the food outlets.
Unless you stay nearby (mostly landed property) or if you are driving, i would give it a miss.
We have JEM, Westgate, Jurong Point, Causeway and Northpoint to chose. Eventhough there is a shuttle service at Botanical Gardens and Sixth Ave. A mrt station on Sixth Avenue.

With the mini bazaar here during the fasting month, this is one of the places to go.

There are definitely alot of choices here for u. From Mentaiko Hotdog to Nachos and more.. This is one of the must go to rage. Do note during this is just during the fasting month of 2021. If you missed it, then its your loss.

If you are already here, u may have realised that there is another path into the the food hub. So ya, for newbies here, then walk right in and make sure u follow the signs.. Its all on d floor and all over the place. The safest is to follow the ‘Feet path’ so that u can get to this place.

And ya… Did we mention that Parking is FREE? WOOOOOTTTTSSS

It is a cool place as there are lots of kids places on several levels. There is an outdoor playing area with slides.

They have a waffle gelato place where you can satisfy your sweet cravings. There’s a small play area for kids, wonderful to chat while they keep themselves busy.

A Giant supermarket is in the area as well so you can get your groceries and necessities.

I saw a sports bar as well and the drinks prices seems reasonable but I haven’t step in so wouldn’t be able to know how the atmosphere will be like during the games.

Getting to the grandstand is pretty easy as you just got to exit at eng neo avenue when you are at the Pan Island Expressway aka PIE. Turn right into this Vanda road or is it avenue and you do another right turn. There should be several signboards leading you to the grandstand.Parking is plentiful and FREE! There are not many places I can say that in Singapore.

There is a dancing crab restaurant which serves lobster roll and crabs. My family tried the butter set which comes with 6 or 8 prawns, 1 crab, 1 corn that cuts into smaller pieces. We also order lobster roll and a chilli crab. the crab wasn’t that good as compared to the other restaurant that I ate the other day. I shall put up the review for that.

It has a unique flair of its own and is not your typical clone mall. Found this pool place where you can watch live pool games, live soccer games, play pool and darts, and, eat and drink here. Started my first dish with curry chicken which was super delicious.

Place has seen better days. Much of it feels run down , due to the amount of renovation going on in the mall.

Parking is free. That is the only best thing there. I find the supermarket there is a bit pricey compare to your neighbourhood mart. Food Hub is another joke! We went back here after about a decade. Place changed so much. We wanted to try out the Mango Float from Mango Bossku only to learn tht the branch has closed for a while. So to enjoy their food we hv to order frm w.a. Disappointing….

The Turf Club itself has other eateries. We had to pass through Hao Mart frm the parking lot. Hao Mart itself was humongous. Love tht they sell toddler’s books there. We bought some.

Didnt try the other places cuz mostly non halal. There were sports halls, field being used to play rugby & even tennis courts outside The Grandstand.

This is an interesting departure from Singapore’s typical malls.
It has the feel of one of the market malls you might find in Bali or JB. There are a number of funky stores and boutiques to explore. There’s free parking and the smaller crowds makes it a good place to get away from the weekend crush found in the more established malls. What The Grandstand lacks in variety and amenities, it makes up for in funky charm.

There are several food places here, but the place feels a bit run down now and quiet, probably because it’s not easy to get here unless you have a car. They do offer shuttle service from nearby MRT stations, but you’ll need to check the timings and location.

Unless you’re living nearby and have some favourite restaurants here, there is not much incentive to visit this place.

Has become so much a part of our lives. Not a complete range of functions expected in a mall but has a dependable range of supporting supplies and food stores. The original Giant was taken over by Hao. Not as well stocked but good, economic range. Free parking.

Misleading stars! 5 for the markets as cafes. 1 for the seafood restaurants. Averages to 3.

Hard to reach without a car, but if you have a car and want to sell it, this is where ALL the used car dealers live.

The place was the old racetrack, repurposed as “stalls” for foodies. Some ineresting high end specialty markets and cafes here, but we went to go to one of the fish restaurants.

Seafood was pretty much the Asian experience of going to the “marketplace” area, and picking out a bunch of expensive live seafood. Then back to the table to specify how to prepare it. Food was good, but the restaurant decor and fittings we’re clearly past prime, and frankly, seemed inappropriately shabby considering the high prices. Dinner for 4 people was just under $500 without alcohol. Pricing that I would have expected with 5 architectural awards and 3 Michaelin chefs. Instead it was more like family owned restaurant of an aging dynasty trying to hold on to the wealth and prestige of an age gone by.

Overall, cool markets, nice cafes, but I’d avoid the “traditional” fish restaurants.

    Markets: RECOMMEND
    Seafood: NOT RECOMMEND
Used Cars: The only game in town

Not really a good place for shopping. Limited options for a casual walk in. There are some food outlets here, though it won’t persuade me to wait for the shuttle bus, much less walk in from the MRT.

Although very busy at the cashier so had a fairly long wait in the queue, I was very impressed by the male assistant who after packing all my purchases into bags, noticed I was an elderly person and without any prompting, offered to carry the bags to my car for me. This is the first time such courtesy has been extended to me anywhere.

A wonderful enough idea to repurpose the space that used to be the Turf Club, but as with all ideas, the devil is in the details and the idea falls flat in execution. Parking is in an open space, lots are small and in urgent need of resurfacing. This coupled with the lack of an easy way to get there gives the impression that management just really isn’t all that invested in making the place work. This leaves the tenants in a difficult position of wondering whether the low rent is worth the low foot traffic.

A shell of a place that used to be bustling with activity, with a few useful shops and 3-4 decent cafes and restaurants – not to mention a great food court with a good selection of food options. Now there’s a couple of furniture stores with no customers, boarded up shop fronts, and parents looking bored while waiting for children to finish their classes. Not sure what the management did, or what else might have happened, but it’s a huge disappointment these days.

Lots of restaurants to try, coupled with the smaller markets in Parsabella for the craft type foods. Upstairs are a range of kids education and development centers, and downstairs it has a Giant grocery store. Parking is pretty good with the elevated car park across the road, and if you wanted to change your car, there is a large collection of second hand car dealers underneath. This area is undergoing significant development to build up its offerings, and it will be interesting to continue to see where they go with it.

A couple of good eateries but you are forced to park on the top of an open air carpark without any cover. So in the day time the car gets very hot, and when it rains you can’t get from car to restaurant under cover. Also I know of people who have bought cars from here that never had their car registered in their name, and so later had it repossessed leaving them out of pocket. Beware.

Set in a nice location but the old Grandstand makes for some long, narrow shopping malls with no view what so ever. Bit like those places you get in the MRT link ways. Used to be known as Turf City or where Expat Parents send their kids for sports stuff as the fields are used for camps and training sessions for international schools mostly. The mall itself is disappointing as it closes way too early even on a Friday?
was there on Friday evening and Pasar Bella was 20% opened. waste of good space as it really could be a nightspot if managed properly. nonetheless, the giant supermarket is sufficiently good enough for the bkt timah area needs but wouldn’t recommend coming here unless u are one of those scrimping on parking (free parking btw). other than Valentinos i dont think any other eatery deserves to be mentioned.

If you are living in the Central-Western part of Singapore (Districts 10, 11 and 21), this place is good for a visit as it has a Giant Hypermarket, a host of restaurants and private tuition centres for kids.

It occupies the premises of the Old Turf Club located at Bukit Timah.

This mall also houses a large new/ Used Car Centre. I think that there are at least 100 car dealers here. The new car dealers basically sell parallel imported cars coupled with a used car dealership.

There is a Giant Supermarket and restaurants within the compound but given the size of the ex turf club, I feel like it is not living up to its potential.
