The Daily Scoop – Sembawang
Nice place and ice cream. Parking is Xpensive.
Last Update Jul2017
Best BSW durian ice cream
Good tasting and value for money ice cream
One of the best chocolate ice cream.
Had to wait 20mins for a waffle….and when it came it felt like it was made 15mins ago…. cold and hard…..gosh
Ice cream was very good. Scoops are smaller than I was accustomed to and I asked for a regular scoop but I think I got a junior scoop.
The prices here are average – not cheap and not expensive. The flavours here are quite interesting and look good. Portion size is ok (normal size). Service is normal. But the one thing I don’t like is all the rules and regulations and terms and conditions plastered everywhere inside and outside the shop such as: don’t sit here, don’t crowd there, can only take home and cannot eat here, etc. Ice cream parlours are supposed to be fun and happy places but this ice cream parlour feels more like an army camp. To be fair, none of the people actually enforce the rules (like stopping people from sitting in the benches or crowding around the counter). But since the rules are not enforced, then why not take down the signs? The signs are ruining the vibe of the place for nothing.
Choices of flavour a bit limited. On the pricey side.
Nice cozy place to chill although may be a little out of the way if you dont stay close by.
Great selection and delicious ice creams!
Waffle Ice cream was great but the cafe had limited seating.
brownie $5 w a scoop of pear crumble $4+, add $1.50 bc premium so total was $9.60 ! Brownie abit small but v rich may get abit jelak. The icecream was q nice, can taste the pear flavour n also have the crumbles. The staffs were extremely friendly. Was indecsive on what to get so she reccommended me but i didnt get it XD. Will come back nxt time to get waffles w icecream! Ohya n i came ard 9.30pm and they said kitchen closed so no more waffles but q a nice place to chill n theres toilets! A little xepensive … 🙁
Good variety of ice creams. With daily new flavour
We had hazelnut, chocolate, avocado , coconut and maoshan wang ice cream. Taste is good, texture is smooth and creamy. Crowds are mostly teens . Overall , service is good
Never knew this shop milkshake recipe had sugar syrup in it. Terribly sweet.
Great variety of icecream at an average price!
Good quiet place that isn’t too popular or crowded. Chendol and coconut flavours were good.
Love their flavors, and the small conducive environment for small meet ups.
Nice for relaxing. Nice waffle
Friendly Staff & a Wonderful Chill-Out Place.
There are less sitting areas now during this covid period. The self help, drinking water dispenser has been removed. Other than that, the place looks and feels the same as before covid.
Quite a lot of variety, the matcha ice-cream is delicious
Been a regular family hangout
Delicious,creamy and tasty ice cream
MSW is excellent, so is Simply Chocolate flavour. Add in a delicious Danish waffle and it’s the perfect way to burn my entire daily calorie allotment. And my wallet.
Clean. Well lit. Organised. Ice cream is decent. Friendly staff.
Great service and attitude provided by the young man. He was patience with us and allow us to slowly choose our ice creams. Will come back again!
I feel the premium choice mao shan wang taste more like d24. Jack fruit taste too milky after awhile will feel jelak. Yuzu sorbet is worth trying, lychee martini is ok.
Place closes early at 9pm and no more waffles when we went in at 8.34pm (4min past last order).
Wanted to order a double scoop ($7.50) but staff told us 2 single scoops (2x $4) was a bigger scoop instead. Single scoops are bigger than the scoops for double? So is cheaper double scoop a scam?
Staff (middle aged woman; 23 July 8.34pm) was also pretty unpleasant and slightly hostile in her replies when responding to us. Spoke with a demeaning tone
Standard has dropped terribly since our last visit
Pretty creamy and milky ice cream sold here and in a wide range of flavours. However prices are very high from $3.80 for a single scoop.
Good place to chill out with baked waffle and root beer float #toast …
Great!
V good coconut ice cream
Good ice cream, only downside is cash payments only.
Mao shan wang ice cream and coconut icecream is …
Overly sweet
The workers are nice.yesterday I went there early and they haven’t fully set up and one of the old lady let me come in and take my order
nice food
Cheery spot to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, namely ice cream.
Really good Ice Cream, recommend the hazelnut Ice Cream.
We have been avid fans of the Daily Scoop for years, ordering online to get our dosage of ice-cream ever so frequently. The ice-cream is delectable and light, and sits very well with the tastebuds of my family. Favourites include Surprising Coconut, Kookie Monster & Blackforest (There are cherry bits inside!)
Have established a firm friendship with the staff, to the extent that my young daughter looks forward to the next delivery of ice cream treats. We have avoided heading down to the actual outlet due to the onset of the pandemic and having kids who are too young to be vaccinated.
Service is impeccable and kudos to the staff for the service recovery. Am looking forward to getting ice-cream from TDS Sembawang for the years ahead!
P.s. Thanks Kym!
Lovely place with great ice cream. Enjoyed the lychee martini and affogato very much. Only gripe is limited seating capacity.
Cheerful place for a family with young kids, looking for a place to beat the hot weather. The Earl Grey ice cream is good …
We had a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves.
Absolute fire yea, super awesome desserts
Crowded after dinner time, come early or later to avoid the crowd and get a seat. Bit of a squeeze when I was there.
Had the Thai milk tea ice cream, it was just nice. Not too sweet nor bland. Right amount of thai milk tea taste!
Wanted to try the avocado flavour but there was a weird pool of liquid in the middle.
Had the Thai chai ice cream. Was fairly decent! Super crowded on a Friday night but managed to find a table. No one clears the mess which makes it a bit of a turn off.
I like the decoration and ambience very much. I like the cartoon illustrations on the wall. The young coconut ice cream was creamy and tasted awesome. My friend ordered the Kahlua ice cream but she finds it neither strong enough nor creamy enough. The price is reasonable. One female staff was experienced but not the younger male staff. They were patient and allowed to try the taste before deciding.
The ice-cream is quite good. But the location is a little difficult to access. Perhaps, this makes the ice-cream priced to be more reasonable. There are some local taste to choose from as well. It could be a nice place to drop by if you happened to cycle past.
Long time cafe selling delicious ice-cream and coffee. Best selling flavours such as coconut, pistachio & durian never fails although they comes with a premium. Waffles was a bit disappointment, need to improve on the batter.
Nice place
Nice place for gatherings, overall great ambience too and variety of ice cream flavours. Also in my opinion, they serve the worst brownies i’ve ever ate
Ice cream was great
A single scoop ice cream waffle was $7.80 and a double scoop was $11.60, quite a good price for an ice cream cafe. Me and my friend tried the salted mister brown and the kookie monster and it they were both good, the ice cream was velvety and was rich in flavour. The waffle was crispy, however, I’m not sure if they didn’t feel the waffle maker completely with batter or they took out the waffles a bit a abruptly, the edges were quite broken.
All in all, quite a good ice cream place!
Tried the waffle with a scoop each of strawberry shortcake and the signature salted mister brown. Ice cream was good, if not on the sweeter side. Waffles, on the other hand, were pre-made and not warm. Coffee was cheap but tasted burnt. Ok service but the staff serving us appeared to be quite new and a little clueless.
Awesome!

A great place to settle your ice cream cravings. Great service nice and cosy environment.
Only issue is its located at quite a remote location so kinda hard to find. Shop closes a bit early as well 9p.m.!
Fluffy on the inside & crispy on the outside waffle and amazing chewy brownie …
Delicious, creamy n tasty ice cream at this Sembawang branch. TWO Stars were omitted as the scoops were much smaller (inconsistent) n staff (smaller Chinese girl) was inattentive n seemed not too happy working. After scooping the ice cream on the cone, it was just left on the stand with no announcement to collect. Also it seems that they do not stock the normal cone n only had the choc cone n sugar sprinkles cone – strange! We had 5 scoops altogether. Quality of ice cream is the same except for these pointers which could be improved on. After Sunset Way branch a certain standard is expected- 5 STARS for best branch – Sunset Way
Ordered waffle with 2 scoops. Ice cream is not bad but waffle can be improved as it is quite hard in terms of texture.
Sweet and satisfying.
Nice place to chill, the aircon could be fine lower. This is Singapore.
Nice ice-cream place
excellent chewy brownie!!!
having a good ice cream, mo shan durian ice cream recommended.
Love their Surprising Coconut ice-cream! It is creamy yet light, and comes with bits of coconut meat in every mouth. So good that I got an entire tub of it.
Serving nice ice cream.
Delicious ice cream
Petty decent place to chill, chat & snack.
Warm service staff who never fails to put on a smile.
Kudos to one particular male staff who went the extra mile to ensure that my take-away ice cream survived the trip.
Great variety of flavours which never fail to perk up your day!
Nice cosy place to have delicious ice cream and waffles. They even serve coffee and tea.
Daily Scoop ice-cream never fails to delight. It was empty when we went there (close to 2pm). The 1 star was not given as we felt that the service could be improved.
Love the ice cream there, esp the Maple Crisp. Price is very reasonable!
dropped by on a sat night as i had time to kill and was pleasantly surprised! though i remembered my last visit to a daily scoop outlet to be meh, i found the pistachio and vanilla flavours very fragrant and well-crafted. possibly one of the best pistachio ice cream around. portion was huge too though service could be improved. nice place and ambience.
Best place for good ice cream Happiness in a scoop Shop full of fun n laughter n all things light n lively Must try: Hazelnut Chendol Avocado Dark Choc Ice Cream n Brownies Good place to bring kids n enjoy life w family n frens …

Try the Mao Shan Wang scoop. It’s good
Ice cream is a bit icy, not the best
One of the best ice cream in Sembawang Next to McD Sembawang
Quite place to enjoy good ice cream.
Nice young man who was working there. Provided great service and had a positive attitude. Will drop by again if possible
Nice environment. Price is a bit on the high side but the ice cream is worth it. Parking is limited.
The standard of the waffle is ok, edible but standard dropped. Would rather go mc for ice cream more worth it …
I love their Fudge Brownie with Thai Chai Ice Cream and Mocha. Will come again!! …
My all-time favorite ice cream place. Best flavours at affordable prices. My personal favorite is ‘ maple crisp’.
quiet when I was there. service staff was patient. waffles are nice
As always the best ice cream in Singapore!
Creamy ice cream in Yishun .will come again
Good quality ice cream but prices are a little steep. Overall nice place to relax with good air conditioning
Best freshly made ice cream in Singapore.
Used to eat here couple of times. Ice cream and waffle is nice. But waiting time for a waffle of 25min is not acceptable where no crowds at all. When complained, they said must warm up the machine, and the batter make fresh (what?)
Can’t even believe.
Not going back.. sorry
Conveniet atmosphere
Coconut ice cream, waffles and chocolate cones are delicious!
Good!!!
Food is alright but I think personal service can improve patrons come in looking at non passionate services or greeting. I honestly don’t think this is the environment which I will want to come again.
Coconut, avocado & salted Mr Brown is a must!!!

Great ice cream shop
Nice waffle with ice cream
Their ice cream is worth it. The flavours are great and the service is prompt.
Casual, unpretentious, comfortable place to hang out
Wide variety of ice cream and at affordable pricings
Not enough choices
Very quiet on a weekday evening. Decor is a bit sparse. But guess that’s the trend.
Our regular go to ice cream spot in this neighbourhood. Good selection of flavours available and staff are always friendly.
Coconut surprise. Must eat flavour. The best coconut ice cream I’ve eaten thus far. Nice location up north as well.
Very nice place and the food is delicious
Didn’t like the waffle, was served cold, taste weird and it’s soft. I like waffles that are served hot and slightly crispy. Ice cream were pretty average. Another thing to note is that the server place my utensil directly on the table. Hygiene pls!
Has a limited selection. The ice creams are good but not great. But value for money. Not overly priced. Young generation service staff can be better trained to be more friendly, make eye contact, say thanks etc
Nice ice cream
Worthwhile to come here if you stay in the North or somewhere nearby. Wide array of ice-cream flavors with unusual flavors. Some not well known to the Singapore public.
Ice cream parlor is decorated moderately with quotes from famous people. Lots of seating available
Nice cosy place to bring your loved ones for some ice cream!
Great ambience, great service, great deserts. Period.
Good ice cream but not a lot of variety. Crowded at times …
Best taste of avocado and butterscotch pecan… The more flavour I tried the more I loved. Maple crisp not bad too…
Decent daily scoop. Reliable good ice cream. Cant really go wrong when you go to daily scoop! That said, it really isn’t that special anymore. Oh well!
Our second time ordering from this store through Grab App. First time was through delivery but opt for self collection this time. Ordered 2 pints of ice cream in different flavours. Only upon reaching home then realised that we were given 2 pints of the same flavour. Partly our mistake for not checking at point of collection. Called the store to clarify and they were quick to do a service recovery. Really appreciate that!
Finally visited their Sembawang outlet. Tried their waffle with pear and walnut ice-cream $7.80. Love the new flavour. There are pear and walnut bits in the ice-cream. Waffle is done well.
Our hang-out place for the best ice-creams and waffles… Highly recommended!!
A quiet place for all things ice-cream.
Make a pit stop during cycling. Ice cream surprisingly good. Spacious & seat easily available. Like the cartoon painting. Happy & satisfy with my 2 scoop order. Waffle ice cream look yummy as well.
Creamy and delicious ice cream !
Nice ice cream shop with awesome varieties. Smile more service staff.
Lots of interesting flavours but I still enjoy a good hazelnut.
They even have Mao Shan Wang durian ice cream flavour.
Delicious, delicious, many choices, often new flavors.
好吃,味道好,选择多,常有新口味。
awesome selection and flavours.
Have been a fan of their avocado ice cream for years. Tried again after Covid and it was disappointing. Ice cream was bitter and not creamy like before. Felt grainy and icy.
Pleasant service..
