It is a small and nice environment to chill and work in. But you won’t be allowed to do your work if there is too many people.

This is located just beside the carpark of the Rail Mall. The rail mall is not a big multi storey complex, but more of a shophouse concept. Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is located exactly just beside d mural drawn. And as u can understand, this is at the corner shop or the 1st shop.
View from the inside displays the rail bridge that the old train used to pass through in the past. Those seniors or anyone who had taken the old train before, will definitely remember amd reminisce the past here. It was not as pretty as now back then.. But, setting up the current outlook will instill certain memories in a person, where they can relate certain stories to the younger generation.
Bring along your kids and parents here for a chilling time and share past stories to relive the old Singapore stories and tales.

Meh. Maybe it’s Covid or maybe it’s an excuse. But everything was served in disposable cup/plastic. Oh and the moment I took out my laptop they said tablets and laptops were not allowed because of Covid measures. What???? The place was quite empty with about 3-4 other people. Felt so much like I wanted to return the cake and coffee. What’s the difference between taking out laptop for light work versus someone on their phone who can sit here for hours? Illogical. And there there’s someone at another table reading a book maskless. ️️️

This outlet is conveniently located near the rail corridor, cycling trails etc. A lot of people exercise and come here for food. I came here a few time to find that the seats are drench in sweat. Maybe you can think of another material for the seats? Maybe something not so absorbent and easy to clean up? It is really quite disgusting.
The air condition system was literally freezing. Not for someone who gets chilled easily. Other than that all good.
In due to the covid 19 issue, sitting space was limited. But nevertheless, staff were friendly and nice to every guest.
A good location to chill after a walk through the Green Corridor. Just a heads up that they are only allowing 2pax dine-in even with vaccination status

Friendly staffs and good service the many times I have been here. The environment is pleasant when there is less crowd. The air con near the door can be quite cold (try to get seated more inside if you get cold quite easily). Also remember to bring your own tumbler to get $1 discount of your drinks.
Their breakfast set is value for money. Every month is a different sandwich. Hot sesame bun is so fluffy and good. Good free good wifi and tables are clean.

1) Coffee is expensive for what you get. Lots of students on their handphones, books splashed across the table. Ok lah
2) Return visit today: quite full w students studying etc. What follows is one of those all-too-common Sg-bad-service moments. Three tables with leftovers, A waitress swooning past seeing nothing. I order a macchiato at the counter and ask the staff to clear a table for me. She asks me if the coffee is “to go”. I say, “No, drink here, at that table in the corner”. Someone clears it. Sitting down I notice the remains of sticky pasta sauce on table: the staff didn’t wipe it. I ask for this to be done, twice. Someone does, ok. However the dirty table next to mine she doesn’t wipe clean, and third non-occupied table still has leftover glasses etc on it. Another waitress comes up to say my coffee is ready, “yes?” I query, for some reason hoping she would have brought it with her to my table. But no, of course, “you can pick it up over at the counter”. Ahlohma #2 and loose one star.

This corner place is the best place to sit and unwind and hangout with your friends to have coffee or chat.
Being the only CBTL around this part of Singapore, this place is quite hip with a diverse crowd. The seating indoor is limited and there might be a queue so be prepared for that. The menu is fairly standard for all CBTL, you get an all day breakfast option, choice of a few salads – some quiches, and tortilla pizzas. Drink include a few coffees, standard tea and free water if you ask for it (both paid and unpaid). Deserts include standard CBTL cake slices. Overall its a good place. Has a restroom in the back. Definitely recommended. The only reason for giving 4 stars is that I always have to queue.

Good hangout outlet but always hard to get a seat during weekends nites. Patrons not leaving when they are done. Hogging seats, playing mobile games, studying etc. Management needs to deal with this.

Great customer service at the coffee beans and tea leaves Rail Mall. I must highlight that Nadia made my patronage there warm and comfortable. I really appreciate her hospitality and warmth. She was excellent, bright and cheerful and would make sure my orders came to my table hot. The staff prepared my pasta well, it was delicious with very nice warm camomile tea that made me relaxed instantly. I was also served hot water by the staff to add to my tea, so constantly, my tea was warm and soothing. Nice cool place to chill and yes! I would definitely come again.

Everything is nice here. I love to hang out with my wife at night with a cup of capacino latte and cheese-cake.
However, I hate some dinner who are so selfish to leave their drinks on 4 seater tables for hours. Just like yesterday night, depriving other diners; seats for more than an hours (the time we came and left). Hope there are sign stating “seat will be cleared if un-attended for more than 15 mins”. Or limit to and hour of patron during certain hours. Management, please look into this or I start patronising ‘STARBUCK’. Sick of waiting for something like this.

I like CBTL, but not this particular outlet. Every time I am there, all of the tables are taken up, mostly by people with laptops that loiter for hours. Secondly, when ordering, you can easily wait 5 minutes before the person across the counter even acknowledges your presence. You can then enjoy standing beside the counter for the next 15 minutes (because there are no seats) for the staff to eventually prepare your drink. I can’t imagine how long it would take to get food.

It’s OK.. the food and beverage menu is good. Ambience varies.. noisy and fully packed during weekends, weekdays are opposite.
Two less stars only because of the customer service. Weird rules and policies.. no laptop allowed. We switched it on for 2mins due to urgency but they immediately asked us to shut it down. The reason not clear! To avoid lengthy hours of sitting? Or to avoid overutilisation of their WiFi!? None of the factors are reasonable enough! People are any which ways occupying the seats for hours and WiFi consumption is not limited to laptops only right?

This place opens 24/7. Went there with my wife around midnight. Place is nice but totally under staffed. We ordered our drinks got served and sit while waiting for our cakes and tortilla pizza. Never came. So my wife went to ask for our cakes. Pizza never came. So i went over to check, both baristas were swamped with delivery orders and keep churning them out while delivery riders waited around the counter. Seems delivery was the priority while dine-in customers were the back seat. When prompted about the pizza, was given the box that was placed at the back counter. Not sure how long it’s been there though. Pizza was still lightly warm. Would i dine-in again? Perhaps not. Call for delivery? Yes.

Cafe got renovated recently. The chairs are now super comfy.
Always will visit this place for my coffee n all day breakfast. Their egg ben n brek o’ day are my favourites. So delicious
6th avenue…quiet..nice deco..good plc to do yr reflection or read n absorb in a gd book undisturbed. Nice ondeh n carrot cake ..good barista..entertain special request!!
