This is for Syed restaurant(jln. chempaka kuning). Ordered prata and rojak mama. Prata did not disappoint us as usual the taste superb if eaten with dalca gravy. Sadly, the rojak mama is not up to the normal standard. The peanut gravy is very watery and the fried flour is not tasty nor look as if had been fried well. I would just give 3/10 for the rojak mama. Not worth buying rojak here. Very upset. Giving 4 star due to the amazing prata.

They have Spize just next to the Bedok marketplace… and the 2nd level have alot more choices for food and drinks (bars)

    Mr & Ms Kneady’s stall
I tried their (Rum and Raisin Creme Brulee) & ( Brown Suger Cheese Cake) both are good but the Rum and Raisin Creme Brulee is surprisingly delicious.
O ya and i also brought their bread
(turmeric with raisin bread) * get to taste the turmeric (not overporwering) and the sweetness of the raisin.

Ps: there is a bar that sell Guinness Draft 1pint @$10 (Close on Monday)

Definitely going back there to explore more hidden gems delicious food….

Delicious burgers and interesting sides served by The Social Outcast. The new Japanese stall serves pretty good rice bowls. The gyozas were crispy yet juicy but too small and pricey for a plate of 5 pcs at the price of $8.80.

This is a hidden gem…… couple of years ago we went to Giant store under this place and completely missed it. There are so many food options to cater to almost every tastebud – Thai, western, local, bakery, beverages and more! Most importantly this place has a lovely chilled out vibe……. somewhere one can gather with friends over drinks. The decor of this place is no where like a typical hawker centre – it’s rustic yet chic. Seating is so well spaced out and so many types of tables – high and low, good for small cozy get together or perfect even for loud big gathering. This has been a regular visiting place for us and everytime we see it’s bustling with activity. Moreover, there are two amazing pizza places here; Mr Kneady’s sourdough pizza crusts and fresh breads and flavourful toppings from Naughty Chef are perfect for those weekends catch ups! It’s an affordable and lovely place that needs to be visited atleast once!

Can’t seems to find the western food I used to have some time back. Tried the nasi lemak store. The chilli is very nice ( sweet & spicy), chicken wing is crispy and fish fillet is bigger than usual, crispy and flavourful. Will be back to have the dish.

The first time I was here was in 2017 when they just started. And I have been coming here over and over and over again to wind (or wine) down. The food stalls here are just amazing in terms of the value of the food – high quality and lower price points for the same thing in other places. To me, it is like Marche but much better. My favourite is Mr. Kneady’s that serves the best pizza made using Sourdough – so you can sourdough bread and pizza toppings at the same time (and their choices have expanded recently). Another of my favourite is M by Madas Nasi Lemak. The other one is The Burning Oak. The best part is regardless of what you eat, there is wine, sake, beer that you can purchase at a reasonable price to go with the food.

Get a beer from the drink store if you want to experience the lack of service provided by the cashier/wait staff.

Get it from the beer place (next to the dart machines) at the end of the place instead.

The pizzas (Mr. Kneady) is a must try at this place. Come slightly before 6pm. Parking in the vicinity may be an issue from 6pm.

Specially detoured to this place to have our dinner, due one of us not having fully vaccinated status yet. Real surprise here is that this place not implementing usual open air food court SOP and allowed only fully vaccinated guests to dine in.

We appreciated staff nicely explained they really have food court business license and no A/C too but they’re instructed by authority to implement more strict rules…

And yeah…Syed cafe and Spize downstairs are open air but only for fully vaccinated (2pax) diners too.

The place is really lively, with music, soccer screenings, pool and darts. It is also decorated really nicely with a rustic feel to it because of the decor that makes it look like an old coffee shop. There is a really wide selection of food here and most of them are really worth your money.

High ceiling, good ventilation, bird deterrence netting and retro stalls design. Also pleasant music in tune to the diners with ample seating at Bedok Market Place. The ambience is reasonably comfortable. These already draw the crowd. Next food varieties are interesting, you can find a mix of asian and western specialty. Tasting of most food here are flavoursome. I visited here 3 weekend to date and like to hang out here for food and drink. A good place to gather people around and mingle good time together.

Big selection of eating places and variety. Ghost place caters especially to Muslim clientele as most have halal certification, even the Chinese che char establishments like the line we were at this evening.
There are several western food joints included in the mix. I was told they are pretty good, though I can’t vouch for them personally as the last I was at one, it was some years back.
The only real gripe I have with the place is the difficulty of getting parking as the place is choc-a-bloc everything we were there. Then again, that is probably a testament of how good the food and atmosphere is there.
Oh, by the way, for durian lovers, I probably won’t need to mention there is a respectabily well stocked durian eating specialist right in the thick of the action.

The Bedok Marketplace is not your typical hawker center, it is SO MUCH MORE!
    .
With great range of food choices from Italian to local #malaxiangguo and creatively crafted dishes, you would be sure to satisfy your cravings of just about any type of cuisines you can imagine right here in the East Coast of Singapore.
    .
For the past couple of years we’ve been visiting Sean’s @thebedokmarketplace about 2-3 times month and we absolutely love the variety of choices from food to drinks! I could never resist getting a bottle of reasonably priced bubbly here at the bar while chomping down on the sinfully delicious pizza from @thenaughtychef.
    .
This place is a #mustry if you are a greedy foodie like myself who just wants to try everything!
    .
‼️PRO TIP: Say hi to Gigi , who’s the manager of the place and add her on IG to “chope” for the best seats, and treat her to a glass of wine!
    .
FUN FACT: The Bedok Market place is located upstairs with all the western options, but if you are still craving local delicacies like Singaporean hawker food, they are right downstairs!

Decent place for a drink with friends and.aome beer grubs. However, if you have an appetite for bad attitude and outright rudeness, head to the Ba Chor Mee stall. On one visit, I was at the counter attempting to order a bowl of noodles but the lady at the counter continued twiddling her phone and completely ignored me. Today, I was once again hungry for punishment and went to the stall for some. Lo and behold, the same protagonist was there again, this time cutting chillies with face turned away from the counter. Called out thrice, no response. Ok.. guess I better eat elsewhere.

Showed it to the lady via HealthHub app. She was unable to accept entry as she only knew about tracetogether app. What a joke, please brush up on the various ways to identify wheter one is vaccinated or not

Large open-air sheltered food area on level 2. Note that there isn’t a customer lift or elevator, only stairs to head up. Pretty good selection of more trendy food and local fares such as Western, Mookata, Chicken Rice, BaChorMee etc. Expect a slightly steeper price due to the location.

This is a place for homemade sourdough pizza@ Mr Kheady’s, simple & no fuss on a thin base, fresh & delicious. At Naughty Chef, we ordered the Porchetta Aglio Olio, which is rather salty & oily & the belly meat though tender & melts in the mouth is rather fat. BCM Alfredo is penne tossed in cream with bacon, mushrooms & chicken, topped with shaved parmesan is too creamy to my liking. Baked Italian meatballs comes with mozarella and homemade pomodoro is tangy & tasty. The meat ball is soft & full of bite.
We finished off with a cup of acai berries & granola from Novo at a price tag of $15!

Those in the ‘hood need no further introduction. For those unfamiliar with this part of the East, the second level can be full of surprises.

The Naughty Chef: Pizzas, truffle fries, pasta, mushroom soup, items that we always ordered

Burning Oak: Its Japanese fusion bento sets worth your calories

Khao Thai: Phad See-Ew, Tom Yum Soup are our favourites

Korean (forgot its name, opposite Burning Oak): Tried the bibimbap on a couple of occasions; they never disappoint

Kingfu Mala: For those who found the 中辣 too spicy and 小辣 not spicy, try its 中辣 which is a sweet spot.

Ishiro: Decent Japanese fare for our first order

Others: Bah Chor Mee, Burgers / Western, Sourdough bread.

Come on to this level 2 “food centre”, there should be something that’s suitable for everyone.

The food that you have here from Mr. Kneady’s always sold-out sour dough bread, Burning Oak’s wagyu and pork cheeks donburi and Naughty chef pastas and pizzas will keep me coming here. The marketplace attempts to set itself apart with its decor giving it a more retro vibe compared to a traditional hawker centre. It is still struggling to maintain stalls with most selling mediocre food at premium prices because of the location causing stalls to be constantly changing. Otherwise, the place is clean and cooling with adequate seating. The main attraction of this place is the beef and pork bowl at the Burning Oak which is a must try.

Bedok marketplace has many a facelifts over the years and distinctly represents and modernises the look, appeal and the food variety in time with the changing needs of the new demographic staying at Bedok. There’s been less of the sweltering satay stalls at the food centre and a big switch to noodles and soup based option at the food stallsb in more recent times, reflecting the mindset and new taste of the younger crowd.

Specially came for the 皇子 Japanese Katsu egg fried rice which was unarguably good without a doubt.
Now the problem with Bedok market place in my opinion is the drink store. Unfortunately for some reason it’s the only store there i can get a drink.
Ordered a teh peng which turned out blend and tasteless, approached drink store lady that made the drink for extra condense milk which her reply was “cannot!” I asked why and she claimed that it’s being pre-mixed and nothing can be done.
I went on to argue whats so difficult to just add more condense milk?? Her rebuttal was still “No!!” She then took out $1.80 from the cash register n slammed it on the counter.
I requested to see her boss but she arrogantly claimed her boss wasn’t around.
A nice lady that was in-charged of safe entry saw the entire saga helped me by ushering me back to my seat n also promised to get me the sweeten teh peng that i requested. Not sure how she was affiliated with the drink store but she did came back with a sweeten ice lemon tea.
I would have given 1star if it wasn’t for that kind lady.
