Hidden gem to source for unique designer furnitures. But do be prepared for long walks and high price stuff
Nice
Great selection of furniture and antiques from different retailers.
I only visit the 9 floor, cause of a Christian book store. There are other warehouses selling for home n office use.(You visit on your own to decide.)
A building with many furniture stores. Price is a bit expensive
많은 가구점들이 입점해 있는 빌딩. 가격대는 조금 비싼 편
Lots of interesting shops in the building if you are looking for unique furniture and art pieces. Check out also Razorsharp which sells specialty kitchenware.
Has a small canteen which serves basic but tasty and reasonably priced food, above it, a Cafe which serves oysters.
Parking was a breeze. Open carpark has ample space. Not the best if you visit on a rainy day though, as there are no sheltered walkways from the carpark to the building. Prices for the parking are reasonable.
Awesome!
Hipster furniture and furnishings haven
Tan Boon Liat Building is a rather unique building because of the types of tenants and businesses that operates within. From the former Pertama Audio which is now Harvey Norman, to an outlet that specializes in kitchen knives, with its neighbors displaying unique furniture for sale. The tiny food court is humble in surrounding but the Muslim food is worth a try although it is a little above your average heartland prices. On the way to this building, one will surely pass by the unique Tiong Bahru Heritage Trail.
An intriguing mix of new and vintage furniture stores. It’s an old building that houses offices and stores, with a surprisingly large selection of furnitures. The architecture is interesting and you can score a nice view of the area at the top floor!
Can’t vouch for the quality of the furniture, and some stores are definitely overpriced. But it’s a great place to get inspiration for your home. If you’re lucky you can definitely find a few good pieces!
What a super place to visit to buy things for the home. So many excellent shops including Bode fabrics. Every shop we visited was well stocked and helpful. We had a baby in a pram but everyone was quick to clear paths to make it easy for us. Would love to see a rejuvenation of this underrated home centre.
Wood. Make sure you KNOW which store you wanna visit before coke to this building. Way too many shops.
Good collection of niche furniture showrooms. Also some not for profit organizations. Ample carpark space but outdoor carpark lots only.
Awesome family church cater for everyone
My go to place for all good thing about home furniture and furnishings. Highly recommended
Superb place to source for quality furnitures
Old building with a lot of furniture shop here. Think toy r us warehouse is here also. Saw them having warehouse sale.
Very good place to source for unique and customise home furniture.
An interesting selection of lifestyle and furnishing retailers in one place. Some are of good value, others less so, but makes up for it with more interesting offerings.
Wish the retailers can form an association of sorts and come up with a directory/handbook. Otherwise, there is little motivation to explore beyond the specific shop that drew you there in the first place.
Usually quite easy to get parking.
Havelock MRT is near opening soon.
Has many lifts but they are not coordinated and are not next to each other that its difficult to know which has arrived.
Plenty of Bike Lots
SKS Christian Bookstore. One of the bigger stores. Located on 9th floor of this building.
It was a good experience. They have “everything” in terms of furniture. From exotic to beach to modern; wood or metal. They have rugs. My tip is start from the top floor unless you already have a targeted place to go. Be ready to spend a little. Stores are quite on the pricey side.
Pretty old building and run down but other wise its okay
Lots of furniture options for folks looking at different price points.
Majority of the shops are selling furnitures eg sofas, beds,
plenty of furniture stores and wide range of choices. some stores are higher up like 7th floor or even higher so research the list of stores available there. plenty of parking are available too. there are bus stops just opposite the building. there is a slight indent at the entrance of the gantry so drive in slowly. the elevators are kinda run down.
Amazing old place full of cool furniture and book shops.
The lift has a lift handle that is very convenient
Warehouse like commercial building. A number of furniture shops and the largest Christian book store in Singapore.
Easy place to sey my foodpanda delivery .
Range of shops for renovation.. home.. you can find all sorts of house items here, so check it out as one of the stops for renovation and home furnishings.
Warehouse like funiture shops..offices..at times there are sale in these stores…like toys r us held there.
A place with loads of beautiful items, from antiques to unique furniture, artworks and food cafe food. Recommend to spend half the day here as there’s quite a few shops to view around. Not crowded on a Friday afternoon but can’t say sure for weekends.
This building is the best for your furniture needs, 13 floors of furniture needs! The place to be!
It’s clear that the game is bad.
I went to look around without being greeted by guests at all, and came back motivated.
경기가 안좋다는건 확실한듯 하네요
손님이가도 전혀 반기지도 않고 구경하러 갔다가 의욕을 일고 돌아왔음 이런거 없어도 되지 않나 싶어 그냥 돌이왔다
Quaint building that is like a time portal back to the eighties. The building just reminds you of something palatial on the set of an old Shaw Brothers movie.
Rare privately own industrial building in the city area. The building comprises retail showroom n warehouse.
So this huge furniture complex could be a great option who need to buy multiple stuffs for their house. But could anyone think to open a cafe in this big place??
People look around all shops, take their measurement, take photos, then make a decision in the end— for doing this, you need to SIT DOWN AND DRINK FOR GODS SAKE.
We came here to buy our dining chairs, cabinet, shoe cabinet and more, so after we walked around the whole 15 floors- wanted to sit and settle down. But excuse me?! Not even a single place?? The one cafe sits right opposite Tan Boon Liat was having their lunch break, ao we had to walk out fat from TBL bd.
Later we decided not going back here.
What a shame. What a waste.
Think! People.
Everything under this 1 building. A little tough to navigate and u will need hours to cover all the shops.
Great place to shop for furniture – wide range of choices. Building looks a bit old but shopping experience is good
I only been to a really great Christian Bookstore there. Lots of cds, dvd, books and other items.
The building and toilets are much better after upgrading.
Many furniture shops to browse. Be prepared to walk a lot
Furniture shops
Looks like a very vibrant place
Excellent location at the middle of city
Lifts are not wheelchair accessible
It was a good experience. They have “everything” in terms of furniture. From exotic to beach to modern; wood or metal. They have rugs. My tip is start from the top floor unless you already have a targeted place to go. Be ready to spend a little. Stores are quite on the pricey side.
quite an old building, but houses many furniture shops/etc
Definitely the place to come to shop for furniture. So much to see all in one place!
One stop for all furniture but mainly for designer concept. You may still find low price factory made shop.
Convenient parking space
Pay attention shoppers, not all the shops are good. We got our dining table set there and end up have to resolved our case with small claim court
Good variety of furniture stores but can be expensive. You may have to search a bit if you are looking for something specific.
Walked almost the whole building and quite nearly clocked my 10,000 steps.
Parking space is limited and quite a distance to walk in from the nearest bus stop
Lots of individual furniture stores
I m surprised by the new units of furniture
Shops and accessories that came in.
Interesting concept but just too out of the way
Entrance currently hard to find due to construction of mrt station nearby
Comercial building
This is a one stop place where you can find many different types n styles of furniture, bedding, carpets n art pieces for your new home. May not be the cheapest options but some stores do offer some nice pieces of furniture n Art.
If you are heading there for toys r us sale, don’t bother…
very different from what it looks like
A building full of household goods shops.
Furniture, interior items, lighting…
Even fun to watch.
외관으로 보이는 것과 너무 다르게
생활용품 샵들로 가득 찬 건물.
가구, 인테리어소품, 조명….
구경하는 재미까지.
Old building selling some antique furniture
Biker friendly place to shop with motorcycle parking lots
An old building that hosted the Toy’R’us sale.
Hidden gem
An amalgamation of all things interior and furnishing for most homes. Be prepared to spend a few hours at this location, scaling the stairs floor by floor to check out what each store has to offer. Apart from off the shelf designs, there are customisation services offered by some retailers that will surely adorn your home with a one- of-a-kind piece.
This old building has many furniture dealers.Lots of nice furniture here.
Mall for furniture and everything household related. The shops are spacious, each floor has around 6 shops, and there are more than 10 floors to browse through. The parking lot is open air. The lifts are a bit confusing at times but always available.
There are not many eating options at the mall, the only option is a bar near the entrance, which was not halal. Had to go outside of the mall to eat. Keep that in mind if travelling during lunch or dinner.
Like the SKS Christian book shop. Comprehensive collection and friendly staffs
Good place to shop for furnitures
Great place to go furniture shopping; there’s a boat load of variety so take your time and wander around.
Insanely expensive but great quality
Very old building and run down.
Lack of maintenance.
The best place to find decorative art furnishings and Singapore Art! @LivingwithArtSingapore
A quirky place with good find! Especially #04-04 J. edition. …
We got our new table, light fittings and chairs here for our new home. Some items did look nice with good quality, but you do need time to hunt around, go up and down in the building. There is a dinning chair listed for $260 in May but magically raised to $380 in July….Don’t know how inflection gonna affect this place …
I guess the building wasn’t meant to be a mall! Very inconvenient for shoppers.
Tons of books; both classics n contemporary
Great place for home furniture…carpetsand kitchen stuff , organic food stuff and for the soul… a christian bookshop
A cool place with lots of eclectic furniture stores. They aren’t cheap, but there’s lots of variety.
Best place to go for all things home related. I love all the variety and great finds … From furniture to furnishings. Awesome place!
The place to get furniture 🪑 …
This building after 6pm, if need to use cargo lift, U will to pay money !
Lots of furniture shops in this building.
Building with a very nice collection of furniture stores. Would recommend
ok
NA
A historic warehouse has been renovated and now there are many buildings that have become storefronts!
一间有历史的倉房,现在经过再装修后已经有好多都成为店面的大厦了!
Old multi-storey warehouse that is converted to retail. Not suitable for browsing.
Great to buy evevryhing to furnish the house.
Amazing views in the rooftoo
Great place to look for furniture
Wonderful place to look for furniture. It’s really fun explore each floor to check out the shops and it doesn’t hurt that the view is incredible.
A good place for sourcing furniture and window fixtures.
Very old building with furniture shop.
The only one stop furniture hub close to town. From Asian to European Furniture and accesories all available in one place. You can spend a few hours here and you can furnish your home with very stylish pieces and different stores to suit your budget.
Nil
Humble coffeeshop at ground level serving good and economical food
A place to shop for furniture! There are quite a few different unique funiture shops. Most of them open on weekend too!
Very good place to look at furniture
Went there to eat the new mookata
It is a good place to eat everything. There are also many shops downstairs where you can buy many things that you can’t find on weekdays. There is also a vegetable market.
是一个要吃什么都有的好地方,楼下也有许多商店可以买到許多平日找不到所东西是 还有菜市场
A place to get furniture
Mall for furniture and everything household related. The shops are spacious, each floor has around 6 shops, and there are more than 10 floors to browse through. The parking lot is open air. The lifts are a bit confusing at times but always available.
There are not many eating options at the mall, the only option is a bar near the entrance, which was not halal. Had to go outside of the mall to eat. Keep that in mind if travelling during lunch or dinner.
I love the simplicity of the building and the view you get from the top is very pretty and breathtaking
Great place for furniture
Not for shopping. .is more like office n warehouse
Many beautiful boutique stores hidden here! Pricey though, not for the faint-hearted Singaporean looking for a bargain.
I went to the unit #13-07 shop name Waln Teak and bought a table made from American walnut from a sales person name Claire.
After visiting another shop, I noticed that the material isn’t what Claire claim to be American Walnut. And both unit in lvl 13 & 8 belong to the same compsny Teak n Co. And I noticed Teak n co have very poor consumer review, therefore I went back to the shop and got a refund.
Please be careful when making purchase with them.
Sometimes taking stairs case is faster
A warehouse.
Great place to look for furniture… wide variety of choice presented by all the stores. Generally you take the lift up to the top floor and visit shop by shop coming down, or you work your way up the stairs.
Great location for anyone furniture shopping
Furniture and furniture
Great experience. Lots to see. Highly recommend (especially compared to The Furniture Mall)
Great
Love all the vintage furniture shops
Very good
Its an old building with alot of tenant specialized in furniture
You need to know which shop you are going to visit
This building actually Multipurpose Buildings.. Hold warehouses, trading Companies, Offices, showrooms Etc.,….
The curry rice is famous . Try it . U like it
Good old building with a lot nicely designed showrooms of interior design companies.
I came here to change a faulty router. They replace it with a totally new one without extra charge. Excellent service.
Good place to explore nice furniture.
Good place to get ideas/furniture for your house!
Lots of furniture warehouse outlet..antique and even an outlet selling good organic choices on level 1.
At times there is a warehouse sale from toys R us..amids the usual offices .
There is also a canteen located on the ground floor , above which is a chinese restaurant.
You can shop for furniture, furnishings, carpets and other items all in one (somewhat rundown) building over its ~15 floors.
AVOID WALNUT & TEAK COLLECTION if you want to save yourself some trouble. I’ve ordered a custom bed frame from them in mid-January and I still don’t have the bed I’ve paid for (!!!). Everything that could go wrong went wrong: poor communication, dented furniture, delivery of my order in a completely wrong color, and repeatedly delayed delivery. After 5 months delay and nothing to show for, I think it’s was fair to post this review and advise other shoppers to avoid this shop at all costs.
Church services at level 15, small and excellent staffs, all are welcome
Limited food, but wonderful drinks.
Visited the grand old dame of factory outlets sales. Ever changing with new exciting 0utlets coming up.
Was at the only 9th floor Christian book store in the world. Fantastic collections.
Simply the best place in Singapore to shop for furniture, rugs and home accessories.
This one not shopping mall da!
A warehouse remake into a mixed use showcase. If only it has a better user guide and more welcoming directions.
Bypass.
It is an old building. Inaccessible
Good place to get furniture, there is a wide variety of stores here which range from eclectic to japanese to boho. Large parking space and old school building design too! Would recommend visiting this place at least once if you’re looking to refurbish your house or get new pieces of furniture.
What a super place to visit to buy things for the home. So many excellent shops including Bode fabrics. Every shop we visited was well stocked and helpful. We had a baby in a pram but everyone was quick to clear paths to make it easy for us. Would love to see a rejuvenation of this underrated home centre.
Lots of furniture store here
Old. The lights are crazy..You have to manoeuvres around huge poles to get in
This is quite an interesting place. It is 13 floors filled with different shops but it is not a mall. There are a lot of quite unique furniture shops, as well as huge Christian bookstore and high-end Japanese knives shop on first floor.
If you plan to see all/most shops, allow at least 2h for visit.
Good quality furniture!
The place to go to for your furniture needs
My office
Various themed furniture (japanese, modern, European, Balinese) is available with a wide variety of sofa and dining sets. Best location to get solid wood or customized tables.
An iconic building at the intersection of tiong bahru and outram. So near Orchard (after Great World City) and Chinatown. Came to be a furnishing shopper’s pit stop because certain brands have setup their shops here, a front showroom coupled with a storage facility in the rear.
An old nostalgic building… nothing changed much from facade perspective, but lots of furniture from niche shops like Ming & Qing Furniture and Past Perfect Collection.. …
Interesting and expensive furniture choices. Came away with nothing.
One stop furniture and design shops! Razor Sharp Knives also a fabulous knife sharpening service and BBQ/Kitchen utensil store – a very friendly team indeed. Organic health food and Providore deli also opened up as well – ever changing with new additions to stores there !
The building is rather old, with passenger lifts at both ends. Passenger lifts have a barrier right in front of the door, so visitors in wheelchairs will have to use the cargo lift instead. (Edit: Open baby prams might not fit either) Car park (1.50/hr) is open air. Being right opposite a patch of greenery, it offers a rather good view of the CBD buildings especially at the higher floors.
Parapet is also rather low, so those with a fear of heights might want to keep closer to the wall.
Amazing place
unofficial furniture hub of Singapore.
Best options to decorate your home
A lot of furniture but mostly too high end & expensive, or antiques. Breathtaking view of River Valley area from the highest floor.
Lots of interesting businesses.
great for furniture shopping
so many shops having good collection
This building can be made so much more easier to navigate. A display board at every floor with name of each shop and their specialities would make life for visitors so much easier. Lifts do not work properly and no indication of status. The management can make it so much more welcoming with small effort.
Good place to search for all home furniture and furnishings.
Lift is poorly maintained.
Ok
Very clean and comfortable good security control, highly recommended
I work here! Other than the wonky lifts and construction around, nothing beats the views here and amenities in and around it.
Good place to find furniture
Lots of furniture at reasonable price here.
A place to shop for furniture
All the options there for home living. Not easy to look around due to many floors, but worthwhile to visit
Great place to visit for furniture. Parking available just in front of the building. Explore the building and get to see all the furniture stores for inspiration. Open during weekends so that’s a good thing.
Many furniture shops to browse at. Came here for Rooma, but ended up browsing many other stores. Wish we knew of this place before we bought the bulk of our furniture.
Very run down building
Iconic furniture building, unavoidable stop during renovation, most shops were not very much our style though
Not really a shopping mall. Please kindly know the shops/warehouse you want to visit before going.
Good
Tan Boon Liat Building has brought upon me touching sentiment. My study bursary, Tan Kah Kee bursary, was collected from this old but functional building with my late father then. It has very unique lifts configuration that still manned by lift attendant. Old but still functional buiding that I still visit my business associates.
Great place to walk around looking at a nice mix of furniture and home furnishings.
an old building with offices.
The few lifts in Singapore that has attendants to press buttons you
Went here for SKS bookstore L.9 and nature organic shop at Ground Fl
Country style furniture centre
It’s a industrial kind of building with many warehouse type shops.
Old landmark. Special building
There’s also Toys R Us, and they also have sales
トイザラスもあります セールやっていることも
This is a very interesting place to visit if you’re planning on decorating your home. The focus on mainly on lighting, furniture and decorations from local, regional and global sources. Prices range from just slightly more expensive than online PRC to crazy money… your money, your choice. A visit is best started on the 13th floor and then walking floor by floor downwards. There is also an eating house in the carpark with wonderful Malay food which only opens for lunch on weekdays. The building is well with a visit not just for buying but also for inspiration on decorating.
Good option for furniture hunters though most stores are expensive and exclusive. Good if you are not shopping on a budget.
Many furniture shops to walk abt n chose from
Lift very slow
Perfect place to buy furniture from, but not all shops are open. Suggest to call to check what you want to visit if not you might make a wasted trip.
Nice place.
Main reason to visit is to patronize SKS Christian book store
building full of furnitures for your home needs
A great place to shop for furnitures
Offcies and some furniture shops
Located beside and across two hotels, this light industrial building has multi-stories retail outlets. Accessibilty will be improved with the opening of new Havelock MRT station.
Really the best place to look for furniture.
Great place to source for home furniture, shops are a little hard to find, probably a good idea to plan in advance where you want to go
Great place for furniture hunting that fits the pocket.
Lots of furniture shops but prices on the high side.
Near mrt and easy access .
Rather out of the way place if u dun drive. Even if u do drive n u miss the exit turning in, u gotta make a big loop back. The shops there r plentiful for ideas but some of the shop’s staff r pretty… Stuck up. N the furnitures in this place r definitely not the cheapest but there r definitely qlty furniture available.
Two Christian bookstore in one building with more than a dozen of furniture retail shop, interestingly in an industrial building at Outram
Many designer furniture shops of great quality, love original Asia and others unique shops there. We know cos we r in reupholstery business in Singapore.
Very good
full of unique treasures
Generally 0.K.
普遍0.K.
Centrally located area…..
Convenient commercial industrial building with the added plus of a new subway station just next door.
Out of the way like an island. By buses is not so convenient…
Mish mash of furniture shops….
Great place for furniture options
Old building built in 70s… reminds me of old HK movie by Shaw brothers.
Razor Sharp sharpens knives at $10 a piece
Pls start at 16.21pm
Good range of furniture in the stores
Nice place with plenty of interesting shops.
Like the food there, goodie soup and garlic bread, very yummy.
Probably the best place to look for nice furniture and decor but some items are extremely overpriced. Don’t judge the place by the old facade either. The shops on the various levels are all cute inside so give this place a chance!
Very high quality tabao furniture available here at 2-50x the price, usually in the 10x range.
Very old building, you can find good furnitures there, but need to go around the many floors
Mostly furnitures
Many furniture showrooms! There are toilets and elevators and places to park here. 1 small eatery dedicated to the workers is available beside the gantry. Looks very similar to joining HDB apartments.
good
好
One for the remaining old buildings around.
Amazing choice of furniture..can get tiring walking around and lack of refreshment option. The only one doesnt offer any sit in
We never knew that a flatted factory block would have so many interest shops – Furniture, Health food produce, Christian bookstore, Household stuff, etc.
Plenty of furniture! You should go with plenty of time! It is attractive to see furniture from various countries depending on the shop!
とにかく家具が豊富!時間に余裕を持って行くべき!お店によって色んな国の家具が見れて魅力的!
Since 2009 we’ve seen Tan Boon Liat building grow to become Singapore’s unofficial furniture hub for unique and beautiful furniture and decor.
There are now many showrooms here, so shoppers are guaranteed of a good variety of different styles and budgets.
For non-furniture hunters, there are also various offerings ranging from wines, a gourmet grocer, organic food mart, a party store, a specialty knife shop, an old-school Christian bookshop and more!
Outdoor parking is plentiful (cashcard parking), and the building has a lift large enough for visitors with a wheelchair or pram too.
Come and discover #TanBoonLiat on instagram.
(If you are visiting, drop by and say hi to us at #03-02!)
Lot of places selling designer furniture
Old buiding filled with furniture gallery.
The lifts of this building is very unique.
12 retailers full of beautiful wood furniture. Directory on the building not very clear, make sure you are arm with knowing where you wanna go before heading there else take a slow walk on every floor you will be sure to find something.
After furniture hunting head down to the rooftop bar at the carpark entrance to wind down.
Need time to really comb the shops here. Must visit for furniture buyers.
The lifts are slow and terrible. The public restrooms are bad and the carpark is confusing
This is where you find SKS Serving King’s Servants Book Shop
Old building office building… great canteen! Nice food
Old complex but good mixture of furniture shops. Do walk around and do your homework, prices are high in certain shops .
When there for toy’rus sale.. not many stock were there.. was still satisfied..
I never expect this vintage building is full of modern brand stuff. I visited Vitra, the lift was working nicely, the bathroom was clean.
Limited parking for motorcycle.
Many stores for the home decoration and furniture
Check with the store before coming as some stores don’t open 9am
If you are coming from Havelock MRT. Take exit 1, turn left, walk along the path and look for the back gate. Google route is a long walk
7 floors of furniture, photography and art shops – Give yourself 2 or 3 hours for your first time if you are there to browse. Definitely worth a visit
Good place to look for the furniture and carpets.
up and coming place for furniture and home accessories . seeing more and more design related shops moving in. they also have one of the largest Christian book shop three. worth to spend a whole afternoon exploring this building.
Great place to shop for furnitures but funky smell restrooms seriously needed an upgrade.
Great options for furniture buyers at great prices.. Must try before you finalize ur home furniture!
Lots of options
Eclectic mix of well designed furniture
Prestige Furniture #08-02 #reasonableprice #quality #comfort #friendly #trustworthy
Interesting commercial building that houses many furniture stores spanning 14 storeys.
Nice food n clean.
Very old building , the parapet walls are thin and lots of shops .
Good options for home furnishing shopping
An unassuming building – one would nevee guess it houses some of Singapore’s most interesting furniture and decor stores. There must be over 20 stores here, spread across 14 floors, offering bespoke furniture from around the world. Take Emperor’s Attic – which has hand crafted, painted wares from China, or Sam n Sara – whose range of bone inlay furniture from India is incomparable, or Artful House – which has handcrafted, wooden furniture from India, or check out Past Perfect Collection for antique colonial furniture from India. Stores offering Indonesian wood and cane furniture, or the simple straight lines of minimalist furniture. You’ll find them all in this one building. Window dressings and wall papers, flowers, art.. you name it, you’ll get it.
place of many offices and companies. However there are quite a number of safety issues, like parking lots, heard there is a rumor that the building is shifting ( slanting) due to the mass and the multiple ground works done in the neighbouring areas. There are quite a number of good eating places nearby, like the tiong bahru market place and holiday Inn and nearby hotels for higher end fine dining expereience. List of companies can range from organic food shops ( Nature’s Glory). wood companies, shipping logistics companies, furniture, metal work, etc
angies oyster bar was amazing
At first glance, it looks like an old multi-tenant building, but there are plenty of stylish furniture stores and bookstores inside. The entrance is small, but the inside is huge. It is a little-known spot.
一見古い雑居ビルなのに、中には洒落た家具屋と本屋がいっぱい。入口は小さいのに中は巨大。穴場スポットです。
Best place for furniture !
Industrial
Very interesting building with vintage and special designed furniture shops
Great place to see different home styles under one roof.
