    5 Tampines Street 32.

My last mission delivery of TKD apparels ended here, where I taken a break to “flower leg “ (aka look look see see; window shopping) with eventual buy of food :

    Menu :
    1. Ramly Burger of Beef & Chicken , the answer to MacDonald ! @ $4.50/ each.

    2. Vadai – Prawns + Ikan Bilis Costs $1.30 each, with 2 free green chillies

    3. Thai Milk tea : The original + Earl Grey version. Each costs $3.00 w/ black Pearl.

    4. Fish Otah : 5pcs @ $3.50

    Total : $20.10.

This short walk around the make shift stalls brought back many fond memories of yesteryears where food stalls then were “not cleaned” from hygiene stand point and now these stalls are licensed to operate and Pasar Malam is back to our heartland for residents to take a break from Malls and to enjoy family stroll too !

I supported these Pasar Malam (Aka Night Market) Stalls pretty much as life can be hard at times when it rains ️ and lives can be hard too ; just like our Hawkers too ! Tough !

Saying :”when the going gets tough, the tough gets going” May the strength be with them always ! Eke-ing a living is getting tougher each day with rising costs and inflation …

So, come and rendered your fullest support to these Pasar Malam stalls : be it food or selling gadgets or pillow/ bedsheet/ bags or even plants 🪴!

This place is similar to a town hall as it is not enclosed in a mall. All the shops go in almost a circle, and near the middle there is a massive hawker center. In fact there are TWO hawker centers, one outside and one inside, connected to a Giant. The Giant is quite big and it offers everyday use items and more. Furthermore, if u are a fan of fast food (u can quit, u got this!), you can find kfc, mcdonalds, and subway here.

    More shops:
    Haircut saloon
Tuition centers on the second floor
    Gym on the second floor
    Electronics shop
    Household shop
    Japan home outlet
    7/11

    More food options:

There are also some open air parking lots just after the car park entrance.Public bus stops are just at the road infront ( Tampines Street 32 & Street 33.

Quite run down & the multi-storey car park is very narrow with sharp turn, rated one of the top 10 most difficult to park car park in S’pore! You are advised to park at ground level, if you can find an empty lot.

Quite a number of empty stalls & shops here. There are some fast food chain here but no Burger King?

A lot of foreign talents are working here, Vietnamese, PRCs & Malaysians.

All foods pricing are getting more expensive in both the air conditioning and non air con coffee shops. Since both coffeeshops are under the same company, there are no competitions thus the foods pricing are kept going up. A simple bowl of fishball noodle can cost as much as $4.80 . Just spend a few minutes and walk over block 201 and the same fishball noodle are selling at $3.50 only.

A nice little shopping place where you can get necessities. However, the parking is very badly managed. Especially the open air parking area. Illegal parking along the side right next to the wet market makes it a hazard. Just waiting to see who is the unlucky one….
Other than this, this is a place which value-add to the whole neighbourhood.
Recently, the airconditioned Kopitiam also implemented access control due to covid. However, they selected the entrance at the same location as the Giant and the only lift access to the carpark(and cloud kitchen). It will be a potential crowding area. Actually in the center of this Kopitiam, there are 2 access entrance where 1 of them can be and entrance, another one to be an exit. In my opinion, that will be a better choice.

Hope their management sees this and act on it.
