Toiletries are generally cheaper as compared to place like ntuc/ watsons. There are some cashier counter which only accept cash, so need to take note if you intend to pay using cards only.
The place is very crowded. If you are new, you need to slowly make your way through every single aisle to know where certain products are placed. However, if you are a old timer like myself, your life will be so much easier. Grab a basket and put it at the side. Enter the place and grab all the things you need and come back out to put into the basket. And of course you can bring the basket in with you, but your basket will be hitting other people most of the time. Happy shopping!

Very competitive pricing comparing with CK departmental store. Wide varieties of beauty products are available here. Shampoo are one of the cheapest even comparing with Venus Beauty / Value Dollar shop.
Only downside would be the very tight & narrow space between the racks inside the store, no crowd control despite current Covid-19 situation. Most likely exceeding maximum capacity allowed.

Located at the old People’s Park (2nd storey, above the food centre.) Swanston is no stranger to most office ladies & domestic helpers. We have been patronizing Swanston ever since they started their humble shop just across the road at People’s Park Centre before NE Line even started. Many regular supporters are attracted by their amazingly low pricing. Our favourite buy are cotton pad, shampoo, rinse, refill & toothpaste. Lately, they even imported Japanese brand 4kg bottled liquid laundry detergent & the price is way below than those selling at leading supermarkets. On average, we save around $50 to $60 per month just by buying those said items from here.

Cheaper if not cheapest than most stores, mostly selling hair, body and other personal care products. Sometimes the packaging looks different from what you would find in other store. Maybe thats why its cheaper. Always crowded. They also hv a store in level 3, but always close. Head to level 2 directly one floor below. Easy access from the food centre or OG shopping centre. Some service person available, but generally not a place to ask recommendation. You have to know what you want to buy and go look for the products and pay.

This place was spirratic. They’re cash only. It’s very busy here. It’s an open market on the second story. Prices are relatively cheap (I guess) which is why they’re so busy. They have a large selection of many different toiletries and cleaning materials. If you’re a traveller and looking for some toiletries, swing by here amidst your travels. It’s on the second floor right at the corner nearest to subordinate court.
Payments by card is only available at the cashier inside.
Cash payments can be made at the makeshift counters outside the shop.
    Expect a large crowd.
Do ask the staffs if the item you look for is not on the shelves.

Visited the place on a Sunday afternoon. It was very crowded. Sells all sorts of daily necessities that one can find in a Watson or NTUC stall. Non airconditioned environment. The stall is located right next to the staircase on 2nd floor. Though crowded, it was easy to pick selection (if you know exactly what you want and just make a beeline for it) as well-displayed and easy to make payment. Eagle-eyed stallholder was ready to manage the crowd and direct people to the next nearest payment counter whenever the queues got too long.

Cheaper toiletries but not everything is much cheaper. Certain things are slightly cheaper but not every thing is cheaper. Shampoo, soap, face washes, toothpastes, feminie hygiene products and most other daily use products are MUCH cheaper. But certain items like shavers, dental picks and even tissues are not much compared to other places like ntuc or Watson’s.. only thing I hate is the crowd in the weekends so better to go during weekdays or when the place just opens. Counters inside the outlets do accept nets.

  74. Avatar photo

The place for all lobang queens. Don’t expect it to be a supermarket, rather it’s a more rundown personal care (think watsons) shop with overspilled racks to the corridors. Range wise they sell toiletries like shampoo and body wash at cheap prices that you wouldn’t get anywhere else. Panty liners for females are more than half the cost in watsons or guardian! They also sell cosmetics etc, even brands like Clinique! However they don’t sell health products though.

Can be very crowded at times especially during lunch hour. Do expect a bit of queue while paying.
