The new autumn menu has great starters like the refreshing Mikan Tai Salad ($15.90) and Truffle Sweet Potato Fries ($8.80) which uses truffle powder instead of truffle oil.

Savour the Butter Kai Yaki ($9.80), a fresh scallop and squid baked in the most fragrant butter sauce. I also highly recommend you to try the Seafood Collagen Pasta ($11.80), which was very light on the palette.

The Fruitti Autumn Roll ($13.80) was so pretty, with colourful fruits wrapping the outside of the sushi and babi octopus on the inside. Lastly, one of the menu highlights is the Omi Steak ($31.80), one of the top 3 beefs in the world.

My favourite dish of the whole menu? The lobster bisque croquette! The creamy hot soup was filled inside the crispy croquette, so simple yet delicious.

As it is Sushi Tei’s 25th Anniversary, they will be sending 2 lucky winners to Japan every quarter! Stand a chance to win a trip for 2 to Tokyo by spending $25 nett

A lovely Japanese restaurant with some of the best sushi I’ve ever tasted. This place serves you a celebration of flavors that just parties in your mouth like it’s 1999.
I liked the atmosphere and the setting. If you get to sit by the window, you’ll have an exceptional view of the bustling Orchard Boulevard, which is in itself a huge plus.

their standard has dropped so much nd $ up.
maybe is singapore living standard has went up so much that i didnt know.

the min roll i had the avocado is so thinly sliced not even 1 mm thick.
king prawn was dry and they sushi rice was not moist and sticky.

only had 3 items + an ice cream. $30.

willing to spend if its good. but nope … not worth it.

I really think the food here is on the same level or close to what you get in Japan. And I personally also like the ambience, especially the seat right next to the glass window gives you a great view of Orchard Road below

We were seated immediately, the service was prompt and the ordering tablet worked well, complemented by immediately available items from the conveyor. Of course flame grilled aburi salmon fingers from the conveyor are only lukewarm.. The key is to go around 18:00-18:15, before the evening crowd.

This sushi establishment is one of the best premier causal sushi joints in Singapore. Truly a gem in casual yet upmarket sushi. It serves some of the best and fresh sashimi platters with impeccable cooked dishes as well. One unassuming but outstanding dish would be, the sashimi salad is amazing fresh and scuulent sashimi cubes over a bed of fresh leafy salad. Do note they do have seasonal dishes every month or so ! Thoroughly impressed !

It’s very nice and delicious. You can tell they use very fresh and quality ingredients. I am quite surprised that is very busy on the Sunday night with long queue however it did not make us wait for long. Service is good and the environment is very hygienic.
They have seasonal Plant base dishes for customer to try . Today we tried the fish nuggets which came with 1-1 and the sushi rolls they’re really delicious especially the fish nuggets that you cannot even recognise that is a plant base and they tasted like Sotong balls flavour. Will definitely come back again.

Located on the top floor of Paragon.

The service and attentiveness were one of the best!!!
My friend just commented to me that he wanted a window seat and the staff directed us to a window seat, without us asking.
The food was served promptly. The refill for our hot green tea was done regularly, never did we had an empty cup of tea. Even during payment, the cashier also checked with my friend, he was buying me the meal , if everything was alright.

    The food was great.
Tempura was crispy and hot. The noodle was delicious. The sushi was great.

    Strongly recommended!

My favourite place for sushi in Singapore. Watch out though, this opinion is shared by many others so the queue can get long during peak hours! Once you are in though, you get a nice view of Orchard, delicious food, and fast, friendly service.

Seated by the window overlooking Orchard and Ngee Ann City. Nice view, fast and good service, delicious food. Waited in line, but it wasn’t that bad (it was around 8:30 PM on a Saturday).

We’ve always wanted to eat at a good Japanese food when craving hits in SG, and this resto is now our go-to place. Menu is extensive – salad, sashimi, sushi, nigiri, temaki, makimono, genkan, tempura, donburi. Just wow. Even the green tea is good.

Sushi Tei has always maintained their above average quality all these years of visits. Favorites include dragon roll, unagi roll, grilled scallop with cod roe to name a few. Service is still prompt though slightly less efficient and less organised compared to other outlets (e.g. raffles city branch). They got one order wrong during my last visit and some orders took longer to arrive. Do be prepared to queue during peak hours as they do not take reservations. You can get a nice view of orchard road if you are seated near the windows.

Food is so so, but the service is just bad. Also, don’t go after 8 pm, as around 9 plus they start basically showing you the way out. Old fish. Slimey noodles. Meat is old looking and not fresh. Salmon skin is fried is bad grease and oily. Sign at front says due to low manpower the wait for table is 20 minutes. Sign at entrance tells guests to be kind to wait staff. So they start bossing you around from the beginning. Unbelievable low customer service. Really not a good place. Probably the worst sushi in Asia. Wait….THE WORST SUSHI IN ASIA.

Tried sushi tei in paragon, and we like the ambience and the overall look and feel of the restaurant.

We ordered the cold soba, tempura, and shoyu ramen. Overall taste is ok, not to salty, just right. The chocolate wafer ice cream is also a good dessert to end your meal.

Nice place. May try sushi and other food next time.

We like to visit during off-peak hours, get seats by the windows facing Orchard Road, and just chill. My all-time favorite is the dip that comes with the deep-fried soft shell crab, and the strawberry mille-feuille ice cream. Hope you’ll like this place, too!

One of the nicest Sushi Tei in town! The Unagi sushi is so big, fat and juicy. Worth the money given the size and proportion of it compared to other sushi places. Also a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Would definitely visit this outlet again!

Located at the top floor of Paragon mall. Right in the heart of Orchard. Easy accessible. Restaurant is big and clean. There are bar counter seats as well as table seatings. Staffs are quick at seating guests. Quite a huge selection in the menu from sushi to noodles to rice, hand rolls etc… ordering is done via the tablet on the table. Food arrives within minutes of order which is quite fast. Ecstatically pleasing and well portioned. Food taste great. Salmon are fresh and noodles are el dante. Unagi don is nicely done. Staffs are attentive and will refill your drinks every now and then. Has a huge open kitchen concept which you could somewhat see what the chefs are doing inside. Good experience and would definitely come back.

Great sashimi as usual, fresh thick slices of tuna belly, salmon belly and mekajiki. Awesome Dragon Roll which comes topped with generous amount of avocados slices.

Great tasting wagyu sukiyaki and mentai grilled squid. Will definitely visit again.

There are many outlets in Singapore, but honestly, I feel that the Paragon outlet is one of the better ones around. Quality of the food is much better, ambience is great too, especially if you’re sitting by the window.

Can never miss out on the dragon roll, hanasaki ika tempura, salmon belly sashimi and scallop sashimi when dining at sushi tei. My absolute favourites! Did you know that when you order the salmon sashimi, you can opt for salmon belly instead? And if I remember correctly, there’s no extra charge. That’s pretty awesome to me! Scallop sashimi is very fresh and sweet too. Please try having it with the sliced cucumber and shiso leaf ‐ it goes really well together and tastes very refreshing!

With the recent cold weather, I tried and fell in love with the spicy miso kaisen hotpot and their warm house sake too. So comforting! The sake really caught me by surprise as it was very smooth and extremely worth it at $8.50, sharing between 2 persons with about 4 (sake) cups each.

Had an enjoyable meal and will be back again for sure

My friend and I were both eating when all of a sudden a piece of fried food flew from nowhere and landed on our table. It came from the towel that was carelessly flung in the air by the server who was wiping clean the other table. Luckily it didn’t land on our food. Then when we were about to leave, my friend stepped on a lobster/shrimp’s head just under her seat. We didn’t order such dish. Food was ok (sushi had crumbly rice) and cleanliness – nope. Hopefully it’s not the same case inside the kitchen.

On peak periods, you’ll see a queue outside the restaurant as there is no reservations allowed. There is a wide variety of foods you can choose from. I personally chose the Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. But to my disappointment, the katsu was very small, and the rice is cold, probably because it has been sitting on the collection area(for waiters to collect and deliver) for a period of time, and there is a lot of customers to attend to, which consequently ends up being like this.

Now, I’m not saying the restaurant is overall bad. As I mentioned earlier, there is a wide variety of food which I didn’t order, or may be better than this. Ambience was fine, but for people who hates cold places, I advise you to bring a jacket along and drink some hot tea. Price is ok, but it could be pretty expensive for some people.

But here’s a final reminder: There is NO reservations

Sushi Tei is alright, it has all the staple Japanese dishes – sushi, sashimi, yakitori, rice, noodles, udon, sake, etc. But I didn’t find anything unique there, nothing to say “Oh wow! This tastes out of the world!”. It is very similar to what other Japanese joints offer.
