    Really surprised by the change within
    With so many eateries within a small sized mall. It would be good to explore the new outlets that came up. Out goes
    The pastry shop famous for their chicken pie. In it’s arrival are the Japanese outlets. Old favourite wanton
    Mee still whipping it’s dark sauced noodles and of course the busy Victor’s kitchen delights. And of course the super Thai’s cuizines ‘.
    Carry on makan.

    Great range of shops, got everything I needed and some extra bits too. I think this is in Chinatown, so the MRT stop is right there – great if you’re only popping in to get some groceries. There is also lots of restaurants which serve lots of different foods. Be careful though, when I was walking down, someone had dropped their lighter fluid (there was a festival with shrines and candles) and it was on fire and rolling around! Don’t worry, nothing happened but it could have ended a very different way;

    Best place to go for print shops and eateries! Print supplies, large format printing, sticker printing, name card printing and even T shirt printing services are available in the various shops on the ground level. Send in a project for printing and grab a bite in one of the many food stalls while waiting. Top picks for printing quality large format are VisualHub. Speak to the owner Ah Heng and he is always happy to help. Food wise Parklane Wanton Mee is the best fix even if you want a simple pork cutlet on rice or fried chicken on rice. Victors Kitchen is a great place for Dim Sum and Oven Marvel is known for their Chicken Pies!

    Busy plaza with everything from eateries, fast food, to accessories, gadgets and tailors. Try to avoid it on Sunday just because it can get extremely busy. It’s a favourite hangout for a lot of domestic workers (which is great) but as a result it can get a bit claustrophobic as there are people everywhere once you add tourists and other locals to the mix.

    It is basically a hotspot students from all over the island to go there for their printing needs. Some shops are better than others in terms of customer service while some just don’t care. Kinda sad. Plus the charges are not cheap! For a booklet of 30 to 50 pages you can be charged over 40 bucks!!. Other than that it has a few eateries which serve decent food there. The other part of the building is the apartment. Only for residents there though.

    Best place to get affordable printing done, either large scale or complex artwork.

    But you need to know which shops to go to, or you need to build a rapport.. Having been to several of the shops though the years, my favourite is still Print D’Creation. I do B&W text, colour stickers, name cards, film posters, shopfront artwork, flyers, greeting cards etc with them and can say that they always give me a good price.

    However, be prepared to wait a loooong time sometimes to be served or for your job to be completed as the place is usually popular (especially with school kids printing their NAFA/LaSalle/SOTA school projects) and the auntie and uncle are all over the place trying to attend to all of them at once. I always bring a powerbank or a book because my print jobs there take like 1-2hrs factoring the abovementioned conditions.

    But I really trust them to do a good job, and they always give useful technical advice to ensure a low margin of error or prevent customer dissatisfaction. Worth the wait and cacaphony.

    This shop is just behind the bus stop on the main road, near the main entrance. And this review is unsolicited, unpaid lol.. I just cherish this shop for giving me affordable alternatives for years since my student days!

    I was there for a meeting yesterday and discovered a newly open drinks shop, One2One, #-01-21. They seem to be more well known for milk and bubble teas. As I preferred warm beverages, I was recommended one of their health drinks, Black Goji tea.
    There was probably a tea spoon serving of purple colour berry. At a price of $2.80, served in a small size latte cup, with warm water. A lady, presumably the shop owner allowed replenishment, up to three servings so as to fully consume the extract of the fruit. But in my moment of curiosity, I ate up at least half the amount of the berries in my cup The berries wrapped around tiny bits of seeds tasted slightly sweet. One of the shop owners, a middle-aged uncle, also shared with me the science of goji drink as he topped-up my cup. Water should not be above 60 degree Celsius, which would otherwise ‘kill’ the nutrients in the fruit.
    Cosy, nice place for a sit-in after lunch, if it is not too crowded. Otherwise, takeaway would do. They serve some desserts as well.
