Have been a loyal customer (Motor Inspection) for almost a decade. Good customer service. Sometimes u get to earn points, sometimes u get a free drink. Their staff will inspect your motorcycle for you. I had a complimentary hot chocolate drink while the inspection is being carried out. Opens till 8pm, which is really good for people who work during office hours.

u guys got the laziest workers at the iu inspection site. fellar went smoke break without saying anything waited for 10 minutes when there is nobody there ,only to ask me to wait again . when ended up checking my iu because faulty of rain they told me to let it dry first and come back.. havent even bother to check for fuse blown. this is my 4th time here and the workers sure got alot of excuses just to avoid doing work to replace the iu , always ended up going to other inspection centre. no wonder there always so empty at the iu centre

Sent my PMD for the first time inspection. Was greeted by the staff with much patience and courtesy. Really surprised by their helpful and obliging service even though the inspection is free of charge. Although there is another inspection centre nearer to my habitat, they seem to have lost their professionalism. Definitely will send my other vehicle there as well when inspection is due in the future. . Excellent services!
Overall, the place and staffs are good. Staff mostly is friendly and knowledgeable. But there is a rather big size staff I feel quite rough when handling people car. Step hard on acceleration to next station, just smash into the brake test drain area. Honestly I hate such drivers.

Vehicle inspection place pretty quick and straightforward.
There’s a proper system in place, with someone to ensure vehicles are in the correct lane. Staff are professional and courteous. It’s not perfect: there should be a better indication of when exactly to pay/register, and when I was there on a weekday morning a few days ago the cars were queueing for an incredible 40 minutes long in the sun, but to be fair the supervisor was doing his best to allocate inspection lanes. Several other inspection centres I’ve been to are totally hopeless. I’ll probably return to this one.

I just finished my car inspection at STA Boon Lay and I must say I have a very hassle free experience. Everyone right from the guard (who showed me the way right to the queue), the cashier (pleasant lady) and the overall place looks nice and people friendly. Special commendation to Mr Mohammad Saiful who provides such a good serving inspecting my car. He patiently explained to me the process. . I will always go back STA for future inspections.
Seems to have a queue for road tax – vehicle inspection every time I send my vehicles here. Expect a wait for at least 10 minutes per vehicle in the queue ahead of you.

These guys are far superior to Vicom. Friendly (the car line was long as the guy flagged me to the Lorry Q, cashier was in aircon area, very friendly and asked if I had discount cards). A free bottle of water provided and free coffee while waiting. Inspectors were professional but friendly. My car has after market suspension and they understood it was an allowed modification (rude guys at Vicom did not) and my car passed without any change. So I forfeit $65 for the previous Vicom inspection . done the previous week where very rude staff failed the without valid reason. At least I didn’t pay $3500 for replacement suspension quoted by Toyota. GO to STA – Avoid Vicom!

Today only 2 vehicle testing lanes operational out of 4. 1 lane for commercial vehicles and 1 lane for cars. Total time to completion since joining the queue is 1 hour.
All vehicle drivers and owners very disciplined and patientcwaiting for their turn.
This is probably a unique situation being a long weekend inclusive of public holiday.

Once the inspection is done (less than 20 mins), the service man will politely tell you to drive off. Park at the side for road tax payment at the counter. If you don’t want to pay on the spot, you can also do so via online.
Do note that credit card payment (less diner card) is not allowed for one of the payment.

Quite efficient, cleared the inspection in less than 20 min on a Sat morning. Lots of signs and after they signal you to come out, just go to office to make payment and then proceed along the inspection line. At the end of the line, the inspector will tell you the result and that the result are available in one motoring.

From those travelling along jalan boon Lay toward Jurong point direction. The U turn point which right turns into the STA inspection is a nightmare. Vehicles are coming in from 3 sides. Other than that, this place is recommended for vehicle inspection (from motorcycle rider POV) the inspection is fast and the wait is short.

1. Once your car is in queue, you can get off to make payment at the office. Total ~$70 for annual inspection.
2. Don’t need to bring any document for annual inspection. Just mention your car plate number will do.
3. Get there before 10am and waiting time will be reduced. Abt 30mins when I reached at 9 plus.
4. Technicians there are generally friendly.
Once the tech hands the car back to you, you can head off, wait a few hours before you renew your road tax and car insurance online.

The staff was very helpful and always serves with a good sense of customer service. Be it you are coming in well dressed or not.
However I had a undesirable experience when I came in with a dysfunctioned IU on my bike. The technician at the department was a little grumpy and replaced the unit. I left after the replacement. A while later, I found my new IU came off its mounting bracket and had to deal with dangling while riding. I had to improvise securing the dangled IU for next few days .
I had to return to ST at Boon Lay after receiving a ticket from LTA for undetected IU when passing the ZONE at CTE one morning. Until then, I found myself time to a workshop and get the problem fixed at my own expense.
After all the unnecessary inconvenience and the unnecessary risk, I met up the same technician M during the revisit at ST Boon Lay to relate my issues to him and went for a mandatory checking required by LTA.
I would have been very pleased if during my initial visit, M could have highlighted to me about the mounting need replacement as well, rather than I had to do the rediscovery and went thru the trauma of summons from LTA and most of all, the danger of riding and trying to ensure the IU is in such a position with one hand for detection by the gantry.
I would say this experience is not ST aspirated. Rather a personnel attitude towards his job. I reserve to mention his name and would go with his initial M.

Still dunno the reason behide of paying $10 dollars just for the pvdl decal blue sticker inspect….no decayed or spolit,not penalty also. Defaults reason told by the staff is simply rules set by government.(soft tone with no eye contact from the staff). (Just only ask them why 10dollars need to be charge and not rules set by whom) still ??? Since last year Until now.
