I really like this place, great korean BBQ with good value. Don’t go for the cooked food but go for the meats that you cook yourself, that is so much more bang for your buck. I really like the bacon

Chanced upon this korean restaurant when visiting bras basah. Had the pork set. Totally delicious. Big amount too. One minus is the limited drinks selection and we have to buy the drinks from the vending machine. So do bring some coins.

This is buffet style for Monday to Thursdays (lunch and dinner).
Buffet is not available on Friday to Sunday dinner time, but still available for lunch.

Price paid $44/pax for food including a bucket of beer to share.

The place is abit hard to find because it is in a corner.
The restaurant interior is spacious and clean.
Service was superb because the staff helped us to cook occasionally.
But choices are pretty limited because only 4 kinds of meats to choose from. But on the plus side, the quality of meats is good.

The side dishes given are what you see in the pictures.

Would return again for the great service and quality of meat.

The place most similar to the taste you eat in Korea. I eat like crazy, and my stomach hurts, but that’s the place where I put up with it and eat it again.

Went here for late lunch, around 1:30pm. Restaurant is very spacious but looks a bit dingy & needs a bit of freshening up. Service is attentive & prompt. Food is good … meats are fresh enough, seasoned just right & properly sliced for the grill. Every tray is a generous portion. Vegetables are also fresh. Grill heat is generally even & easily adjustable but there’s no exhaust here so you will smell like BBQ after your meal hehe. No biggie, will still go back here for our Korean BBQ fix.

Busy place, full house even during weekday dinner. $29.90 is a fair price for the buffet. Tofu stew is nice. Do bring coins for the vending machine if you want soft drinks or water.

Non alcoholic drinks can only be purchased via vending machine(refer photo) so make sure you have some small change or small notes. I didn’t. It was annoying. There is no service of any type of complimentary drinks of any kind.

Food was fresh and taste good. But ensure you look after the meat yourself. The staff helped us to put the meat on and left. Came back to check after awhile. So we thought they were doing the cooking for us(also the person who recommended this place told us that cooking is done for us), so we didn’t pay attention to the meat. End up it was slightly burnt and too tough.

The cooked food like ban chan and steam egg and pancake taste good. Not sure I would go again though.

Two people ate 2 servings of beehive pork belly, 1 serving of pork belly, and 1 serving of assorted mushrooms. It was a little disappointing when I only ate meat, but it was delicious to eat with ssam and various side dishes.

The beef miso stew was especially delicious. It was so delicious than I thought, so two people ate five bowls of rice. Rice alone came out for $10.

The side dishes were strong in sweetness, perhaps because they were tailored to the taste of foreigners, but it was nice to be able to eat a variety of side dishes.

The staff were also busy on a Saturday evening, but it was nice to have kind service.

I want to visit again to eat soybean paste stew.

I recommend it to Koreans who are worried.

Great experience. The honeycomb pork belly was slightly crispy on the outside and did not have that ‘porky taste’ at all.

Highly recommend the jjamppong as well — noodles were perfectly cooked (not too soft) and they were generous with the seafood. The soup base was rich and surprisingly spicy, which I like. Two ppl can share a bowl. It’s huge.

Not the biggest fan of several of the side dishes. Steamed egg was forgettable as well. The bbq and mains are definitely the main draw.

Oh and the aircon was dripping onto our table the whole time lol

Second time here and will definitely be back. This is one of the most authentic and amazingly delicious KBBQ in Singapore. The beef and pork were very tendy, juicy and flavourful – best eaten wrapped in lettuce as a ssam. The free flow banchan (side dishes) were equally good and goes very well with the meat. No KBBQ is complete without naengmyeon (cold noodles) and they made it super well here. Noodles were perfectly cooked and springy, and the broth was refreshing and flavourful. Service was fast and efficient – food came quick and we had no troubles getting refills for banchan and lettuce. Very hygienic too – even used baking sheet on the grill which was changed during the meal to prevent too much accumulation of char. Overall, outstanding, service and ambience!

reasonable price, authentic korean bbq and army stew. the ingredients were fresh and it’s very much nicer of the few I have tried. swear by my kids who were more particularly in taste than me. overall I still give a 5 star even thou little lack in service…I had ask for a top up in kimchi and green lettuce wrap but wasn’t given until I ask for it the 3rd times. but when it comes, waitress only give me top up of kimchi…I still have 40% left of meat uncooked with kimchi and lettuce finished…

pls correct me if I’m wrong- will there be additional charge of ask for lettuce and kimchi top up? if so, pls let us know and I will not mind at all.

pls don’t promise and acknowledge our request then forget about it. thank you very much thou.

Korean BBQ in town, pretty affordable especially located near the city centre. The service is very fast but the place seems understaffed for its restaurant size. Had to grill the meats ourselves almost the entire time, so if that’s what you prefer, this is the place. Drinks (Besides Alcohol – Beer & Soju ) can be purchased via the Vending Machine located inside in the form of aluminium can with serveral variety of Korean drinks like Bong Bong Grape Juice, Original Milkis, Coolpis, Korean Pear Drink, Sikhye.

Followed by their BBQ Assorted set of Beef short ribs, Durox honeycomb pork belly, Original pork belly and Beef short plate. Efficient service with staff helping to grill our meats. Altogether, it was a satisfactory Korean BBQ – noisy, crowded, tasty, affordable price point. Will return.

Wifey been craving for Korean BBQ for times. And we found this near to ours place and make the rsvn.

1st time here, arrived around 12pm. Ordered buffet for 2pax, can & bottle drinks buy from Vending machine.

Buffet come with free flow of Beef, Pork belly, marinated chicken & marinated pork. + One choice of stew. And usual Korean side dishes.
Wifey like the marinated Chicken the most, added another plate.
There are ala-carte menu to add on for your meal. But we just feel enough with the buffet.

Friendly staff, but they are busy running around when start busy from 1230pm onward. Limited staff.

4 stars for food, 1 star for service. I like to slowly grill my food and eat instead of dumping all the meats on the grill at once but service staff kept insisting to cook our food despite me saying no repeatedly. And even though they close at 10.30pm, she insisted to cook all our meats at 9.30pm. If I wanted fast food, i would have gone to mcd.

Not very recommended, nothing to choose from, very small selection, and the environment is not particularly good, and the fried chicken, fried rice, and fried vermicelli are not delicious, not hot, and it looks and tastes unappetizing, and the taste of barbecue is also very ordinary. However, the waiter is very diligent in changing the baking tray. I feel that at the same price, other restaurants should eat more.

A cosy korean bbq restaurant hidden within the town.
I have managed to book this korean bbq just a day before and was very happy with the food quality and bbq equipment used.

I have arrived at 12pm and is able to enter the restaurant directly. There are 2 type of table, for bbq and for hotpot. Do inform the waiter accordingly.
I have chose the $50 bbq meat set.
The meat looks very very fresh and obviously taste nice, probably because of my own bbq skill.
There are other korean dish, and I think the spicy tofu soup tasted very nice.
Nevertheless, the waiter will frequent your table to help out in the bbq to prevent your meat turning into charcoal.
There is a unique drink system, if you need non alcohol drink, you will have to buy it from the vending machine, while all alcohol drink needs to be ordered through the waiter. Do ask for ice directly from the waiter.
Lastly, please manage your expectation as the next ambience is obviously not the greatest. The restaurant is very spacious, homely though.

For some reason, there is no exhaust output pipe directly above your bbq pit but there are very little smoke from the bbq. Not much smell from my shirt after the bbq experience.

PS: Seems to have a weekday lunch buffet @$30+ during mon to Thur which I think is very economical.

Staff were characteristically rude totally vibing Korean. Regardless the dining experience was great.

Price wise, it’s a Korean bbq, so be prepared to spend about 25 per pax if you are small eaters sans alcohol.

A normal meal for my buddies and I generally work out to about $35-40 per pax, usually with at least 3-4 rounds of soju and bombs.

What you get is very very delicious meat, especially the pork and beef, great tasting ban chan (always ask for 3rd helpings) and a very authentic Korean bbq experience.

Never knew got a Korean BBQ hidden in Bras Basah complex. Pretty authentic and all the staff are Korean. Ordered quite a lot of dishes for two and has a hard time finishing it. The staff came around to do the BBQ so it was minimal fuss for us. Really enjoyed the food, I loved the seafood pancake and the SPRING ONION FRIED CHICKEN!

Had kimchi pancake, kimchi jigae, sundubu jigae with 2 serving of honeycomb and 1 serving of slice pork belly.. came up to be about S$30/pax. Drinks excluded, can be purchased from their vending machine!

Sundubu and kimchi jigae were flavourful, grilled honeycomb pork belly highly recommeded, this is fabulous! As for kimchi pancake, if you prefer thicker, doughy version but still crispy on the outside, this is the one!

    Will visit again.

Meat quality: always feel in love with the freshness of the meat quality. The honeycomb pork belly has no distinct smell like other place.

Side dishes: can always ask for refill with fuss-free.

Service: it’s a crowded place and they kinda short of staff so DO NOT EXPECT TO GET COOK AND SERVE at all time. (I love to cook by myself that’s why I usually go for self-service bbq restaurant)

Minus point: no tumbler of water to be served complimentary, you have to purchase soft-drink at vending machines. (Minus point)

    But overall is satisfied.

BBQ meat was acceptable but we were disappointed with the pancakes – hardly any seafood for the supposed seafood pancake and it wasn’t crispy on the outside like what we had at other places. Other food items were at best average – we had the tteoknokki, spicy seafood soup, cold noodle and fried garlic soy chicken. Ventilation can be improved upon especially it was a busy night with many tables grilling away. The serving team was very friendly though.

They have changed their menu, please call and check as when we went, there is no more cooked food, only 5-6 kinds of meats for cooking, and the spread is really very small now. When I asked about the change, they mentioned that one month ago they have stopped the cooked food section citing reasons that their chef cooked it at 10am and after that its not fresh for the rest of the day!
As a buffet restaurant, aren’t they suppose to cook new batches if the food is left after a certain time period? Anyway just call to check before heading down, otherwise you will be disappointed for sure… like we were.

Taste so so only. The staff only 3-4 person but need to serve a lot of table. We went to the restaurant at Saturday, there was a lot of ppl, i think more than 40ppl, every table is full and close to other. I don’t think got 1 meter safe distancing. Beside the staff told us there is only 2 hrs for us, the end we still have food but the staff say give us 10mins to settle because the next customer is here. Then we rush to cook and eat. The bbq plate was small and a bit slow. I will not came again

Food – love it, better than some others which offer around the same pricing.
They would diligently changed your hot plate to prevent over-cooking and burnt and more ‘smoke’.

Authentic Korean restaurant that serves buffet and ala carte dishes.

We had the buffet which included free flow of certain meat, free flow of side dishes and a choice of stew which you’ll have to finish by 90minutes.

They provide baking paper to avoid having meat sticking to the pan which is great !
My ultimate favourite was the egg. Best one I’ve tried in every Korean BBQ restaurant I’ve went.

Soft drinks were 2dollars each where you can get from the vending machine provided in the restaurant. I understand that they provide other in house drinks as well.

There were limited staff, its like 1 against 30 but they still provided great service which I really appreciate.

Overall a great experience and will definitely be back.

The meat cut is really normal despite me ordering the premium one.

If the price is cheap is fine but the price is not that cheap that everyone is talking about.

Unless you go for the buffet, I assume it is not that good after all.

Side dishes looks cheap (hotdogs and fish cakes)

Steamed egg is normal and the seafood and kimchi pancake are normal too. Nothing to shout about.

The cold noodles here are delicious.
There are two types of noodles, regular and homemade noodles,
    Homemade noodles are recommended.
    It’s plump, chewy, and delicious.
Garlic chicken is also sweet ‍️
    Also the kimchi is delicious.
Various snacks that appear in the appetizer
It’s a hit or miss, but kimchi is really delicious.

A korean bbq place that takes me back to when i visited an older, less commercialised Korean town.. we were served by what felt like a Korean family and the decor, the menu and the folks made the experience very homely… it was nice n professional of them to walk around and help ppl BBQ the meat.. I had the buffet and for 30 bucks a pax its def worth it… the beer soju bundle is only 25 so go for it if u r missing some rice wine + beer action… v surprised to find this gem since it is located in a ulu place – bb complex.. jus above jacks place..

Edit: updated review because I went again and was sorely disappointed that they were so inconsistent… firstly, I ordered one portion of the pork jowl and they were hesitant to allow it although I ordered that the last time?! And then they said that side dishes are not refillable for one portion of bbq only, but the last time they refilled it twice for me. So it’s really frustrating when they’re not transparent and consistent. The service just didn’t feel the same this time. Reducing to 3 stars because I’m not sure if I’ll return again now. No wonder they’re usually more than half empty…

A surprise find that exceeded my expectations! Firstly, I’m so glad to find a korean restaurant in the central area that’s willing to take reservations and isn’t just some fast food localised joint. Secondly, the space was huge and very relaxed — not like those really crowded and elbow-to-elbow restaurants that you’ll definitely come out from smelling like bbq. Thirdly, food arrived really swiftly (everything came within 10-15min on a Friday night) and service was prompt and pleasant. Finally, the food portions are generous and was great, felt authentic too (they’re clearly owned and operated by Koreans!) — had the pork jowl which was very well seasoned, pancakes that weren’t too oily, beef stew that tasted very homemade (the doenjang is definitely homemade), fried chicken that came in a huge serving and was loaded with spring onions (reminiscent of nostalgic popcorn chicken) and jja jyang myeon that was a bit on the bland side but noodles were very Q. Bill came up to $100 but it was well worth it!

Ordered a $40 meat platter set, spicy tofu stew $10, jjajang mian ($5-10, can’t remember clearly), 5 bottles of hite $20, total bill $90++ for four pax.

All of the food were not bad considering the price!! Especially the beef and spicy tofu stew were to our liking!

The staffs were very hospitable and kind throughout our meal. Febreeze were provided to take away the stench from bbq.

The food is average at best. We ordered the Ssak3 platter for 2pax at $60 and although it included beef short ribs and short plate, the meat was not flavourful. So the quality is not great.

The side dishes are also nothing to shout about except for their kimchi, which was really good.

Service was ok, pretty quick however they seemed quite short-handed. We grilled most of the meat ourselves which was not a problem for us. 1 thing to note is that I found them kind of stingy. We couldn’t finish our meat so we asked to take it away along with our leftover green chilli and garlic that was already on our table. Then they said that we can only takeaway the meat but not the green chilli and garlic as it’s not allowed. I don’t understand why? It’s not like it can be re-served because it’s leftover from what we ate. I wish they could be more gracious about it. What is a few green chilli and garlic when our bill is $100+?

Anyway, steamed egg is an additional $6 (other BBQ places give as a free service). We spent $108 total for the platter, steamed egg, cold noodles, and 1 hite beer. My honest opinion is I think you can get better quality food elsewhere. That being said, if you are a big eater then I think the $29 buffet would be a better deal. For me, I would go back to places with better quality meat like Go K BBQ, Gogijip, Super Star K, etc..

Went for ala carte lunch, wasn’t crowded. Authentic joint with spacious seats. The free flow side dishes (ban chan) are delicious and you get 6 of them! They assisted us to cook all the meat and veg probably because it’s pretty lull and the quality of the meat is good. My favourite is their seafood pancake actually – super crispy and full of seafood. Also had their army stew which I felt is average – not spicy at all. For their water it’s $1 per bottle out of vending machine.

Food here is your typical kind of Korean BBQ, but I liked that they grill the meats for you and the tray is on a slant to let the oil drip down and collect separately. Sides offered include beansprouts, kimchi, scrambled eggs, sausage, fishcake, potato salad. The accompanying meat platter also comes with fresh garlic slices, radish and lettuce to wrap the meats and slather some soybean paste sauce on. The fried chicken came in juicy chunks and either is plain, or coated with a sweet sauce.

Don’t be surprised by the frozen pork, it’s very nice when accompanied with bean sauce/salt and lettuce. Take with a slice of garlic for complete mouthgasm.

Ordered hang noodle, it’s not salty which is great to accompany with grill meat.

The kimchi soup is very flavourful.

Not recommended to order the egg as the bottom will char due to the hot pot.
