A number of popular haunts like Don don donki and Jollibee as well as mid priced eateries.
MMM as an addition to cold storage for its meats, sausages and soups is great for a meal in a hurry
Went there to shop around as it near my workplace. They have this Electrical Shop call Harvey Norman. Pretty good sales person there especially the camera section. They have various of camera and gadget that you can browse around. Quite competitive price too!
Small mall but has alot of food options
Of the few malls around here, I dislike this mall the most. The set up is messy, the shop placements are very incoherent, and there are different hidden lanes across different floors. Gets pretty frustrating after a while. That said, if you’re here for specific reasons, like a specific restaurant, or a specific shop, you’ll get the hang of it.
I’m here mostly for a few things: 1) NTUC Fairprice, 2) Don Don Donki, 3) Hansang Korean family restaurant, and 4) the key duplication shop upstairs.
Feast your eyes on wide range of goods and food. Good human traffic.I ate at Hans. Love the lamb shank. The sweet n sour pork is crispy on the outside n succulent on the inside but portion is small.
Like a maze, might be hard to find your way around but there are certainly many little interesting eateries and shops to explore. What’s more,
there are a number of grocery stores and supermarkets ( like fairprice, don don donki, etc) . Also connected directly to Novena mrt and Velocity where there is Cold Storage, more eateries and lots of sport retail shops.
Square 2 has everything you need to run a tight household – well stocked NTUC, Japan Home, a key maker, POSB branch, Harvey Norman, stationery shop and much more! Of all three shopping centers in the area, I spend most of my time at Square 2
Small mall but have everything. Good place to look for inexpensive quick dry t-shirt n shorts like Decathlon n booths that lined d corridors. Great place to look for track shoes too. A few nice restaurants but d hawker food offered on d 2nd level is quite limited.
Don’t understand the architect’s design for this mall, some shops are invisible to the eye when you scan the floors! But some of the shops here are gems; sadly a few of them have been booted out by rising rents, like Native Country, and most recently ‘My Fine Collections’ which majored on modern batik clothes plus the traditional sarong kebaya.
This mall is easily accessible via MRT. Alight at Novena Station and you are right between a foodcourt on the right and Don Don Donki on the left. Take the escalator up one flight and there’s plenty of shops and eateries
Square2 is annex to Novena Square shopping mall . . . has the popular Daiso Japanese ¥100 store here and a good mix of fast food and retail stores as well.
A vast variety of shops and restaurants – my most trusted and highly recommended Dry Cleaners and Alteration shop “Cleanly Dry Cleaning & Alteration”, my highly recommended Korean Food “HANSANG Korean Family Restaurant”, an up and coming Korean facial shop “KSIN”, everyone’s favourite Japanese supermarket “Don Don Donki”, NTUC Supermarket, Kei Kaisendon, Daiso …. so many reasons to be here
Download the far East organisation app to earn points when you shop or dine here.
Always have events promotions during weekend at center stage.
Carpark is quite high up. May get giddy easily when you reach the top.
Not a lot of selection but decent shops available such as daiso.
Lots of shops for your weekend needs or food places for daily meals. Atrium area seems to have regular events like the foods from Taiwan or Croatia this weekend.
Compact and many restaurants and fast food eating house.
Jolibeen & Awfully Choclate my buys from there.
A mall that gives the impression that management wants to jam pack as many shops into a small space. Felt very claustrophobic and I don’t like spending too much time in this way. There is a Daiso on the upper level and that is a brownie point for this otherwise boring mall.
MRT Novena at basement at Square 2, Food available here, Don Don Donki supermarket..
Ever since Don Don Donki moved in the place has liven up. Food court run by Donki has lots if yummy food and the Donki take away is value bento.
The public toilet is very small, not user-friendly to people with special needs.
We always come here when we like to eat Jollibee. For my wife, their sphagetti here is the best compare to all other outlet(really nice though I’m not fan of eating sphagetti). I can also taste the difference of their chicken and gravy compare to other outlet. For me, here is the best. The staffs are okay and the environment is clean.
It’s an ok place, nothing special, nothing bad
It’s a lovely shopping mall and located conveniently right above MRT. I think they used to be a Korean-style mall but now, they have successfully converted to a be a Japanese-style mall. The reasons that I am not giving them a 5 star is because not all the eateries at the foodcourt are not opening, they are probably victims of the COVID.
Square 2 has good amount food options and shops. next to is Novena medical center. They got Kofu at fourth floor where Korean stall is very delicious. Also close to United square which is 3-5 mins walking distance via underpass at Novena MRT.
The best food court becoming sleeping food court….pls mix with all races staffs..only from china very difficult to communicate..we ask something they give another thing..
Parking is a challenge. Not so easy to find way even to enter into car park. Food is limited choice and high side. No souch local food. Confusing entrance try MRT as I see wheeler chair person having hard time to go to MRT.
This Mall is like a maze and not shoppers friendly.
Difficult to shop around, found the restaurant I wanted to visit and gave it amiss for shopping.
Please fix the gantry system. It literally takes 5-10 mins to get into the mall because of the safe entry gantry system. Exiting the mall is difficult too because the gantry blocks your exit and works 50% of the time. Safe entry staff was unhelpful and rude. Management team, please do something about it.
A family-friendly shopping mall adjacent to two other shopping malls. There’s a wide range of F&B and other services like massage, optometrist, learning centres, etc.
Conveniently connected to Newton mrt. Didn’t see anchor tenant like departmental store nor supermarket. There is a Don Don Donki store here though, but only sell food stuff.
Have some unique shops here, but not a shopping mall that I will want to visit on a weekend. Catered more towards the working crowd
Food choices many. Prices okay. Good for shopping too. Avoid lunch crowd 11.45am – 1.30pm. Beta to tabao
Located near Novena mrt station exit A that I am able to walk directly from the mrt to Novena Square 2. The shopping mall has narrow walkways that something might confused me but there’s such variety of shops that I could spend a good time there just browsing.
Value neighbourhood shopping centre, devoid of the expansive brands!
For sports buff, F&B outlets and interesting Atrium events, surprisingly good place to move around at own pace and chill-out.
It cater mostly to kids and parents as it has some tuition nearby at the upper floor. H&M for kids and etc
Quite crowded when I was there. There is now many pasar malam stalls right at the lobby of the shopping mall….Happy shopping !!
Happy people !!!
Novena Sq2 is just opposite two hospitals TTSH n Mt Elizabeth .Very convenient to get there by NSLine But if u want to take taxi home w yr shopping loads it’s v difficult to get one although there’s a taxi stand around.Someone in charge of this mall must look into this problem as human traffic here is busy n brisk w so many food outlets n shops n pasar malam types of stalls at the open indoor space ground floor connecting right to Sq1.
Awesome mall lots of food, shopping & festival moon cakes promotion going on …
Jollibee very nice food in Singapore …
11-storey building with Square 2 consists of retail shops from basement to level 4, and the Novena Medical Center occupies Levels 8 to 1, and 3 levels of carpark at level 5 to level 7.
Main lobby at level 2. Situated above Novena MRT Station, and integrated with Square 2 shopping mall, and there’s Oasis Hotel Novena next to the medical center.
A lot of small shops, you could have manicure and pedicure. A lot of specialising stores. There is one bookstore for Medical students, very good collections. Outdoor gear equipment for mountaineering and camping
Daiso
Fair price
Japanese food supermarket
Japanese restaurant Jollibee
Plenty of shopping for shoppaholics. Plenty of eateries for food lovers. Today we tried the stall “wanton noodle” we asked for green noodle(supposed to have some vegetable added in the making of the), hence green noodle and charsiew, 3 pieces shuei kow. Has the Taste of the old style wanton noodle. The charsiew was nicely roasted but seems to be quite hard from the roasted outer to the inner. But on the whole nice tasting. The shuei kow has decent filling pork and prawn. All nice.
I rarely come here at all. I just use it to get from one place to another. I guess to keep you from leaving, the directions out to other places is confusing. The underground tunnels to Oasia hotel is shut, so you have to head up a couple of floors from the MRT, take the elevator up to the medical centre (Raffles?) Then take the elevator down to the first floor to get to… Marmalade. That is square 2 to me. Just a place to get to someone place in the most confusing and convoluted way. Good luck.
Love all the squares and the outlooks with the landscaping. Lots of stuff to do without getting bored.
Square 2 is just The typical Shopping Mall . This Shopping Mall has a Delicious Vegetarian Restaurant called (D Life Signature) . Toilets can be quite dirty and Smelly . Toilet Hygiene definitely needs improvement . Overall ,a reasonable shopping Mall to Visit.
Mama cake shop after 5.30pm has S$1 goodies. Bread filling very good standard & portions.
Lots of changes within a year. More food.. Also some outlet has moved out like the Fragrance BBQ shop is gone when I was there this morning to buy some robots.
Prices could be acceptable. I like to shop here because not too crowded. Items well displayed.
Keep it up you guys.
There is only one lift from Novena MRT leading to the Square 2 mall, and the pathway is too narrow, especially if there are wheelchair and baby pram users. I hope for a better and wider linkway for patrons of the mall and visitors to TTSH.
While level 1 of the mall have wider walkways, those on the upper storeys are not wide enough for two-way human traffic
Good selection of food outlets This place is mostly catered for young families. There’s no major shopping centre, but it’s highly accessible due to being connected to Novena MRT. There’s an NTUC on the highest floor. Don Don Donki has an outlet that occupies a big part of the basement floor from the MRT station. For patrons, kindly note that DDDK actually has a toilet in the supermarket so you don’t have to check out and check in again
This place has the best korean restaurant i’ve ever been too… everything was a perfect 5/5. Price is on the higher side but reasonable for the food and service.
#Hanseng
A place with many shops that offers a widespread variety of shoppables from household needs, foodstuff to clothing. This place will literally satisfy your fetish for shopping, the place has so much food be it in foodcourts, cafes or restaurants, majority are all delicious and would make you want to come back again!!
Carpark was quite precarious, make sure you’re fine with driving through spiral carparks up a few floors.
The eateries there are decent, but if you want more options you can go to the mall right beside.
Not much choice of muslim food here. Overall is ok for window shopping or if you need supermarket there is NTUC.
Tungluk kitchen at sq2. Tim sum is generally nice here. Like the ordering via a smart tablet and the automated food delivery. Very cool and fast. Chicken feet and crispy beancurd are my favorite
Small shopping mall but recently daiso opened so it’s my to go place for small items. There is a larger NTUC at the top floors and many eateries. A small photo printing shop in the basement is useful as well.
The second part of velocity mall offers more food related places. I like joe & dough for a coffee. There is also a good hairdresser (ground floor) and a good ramen place at the second floor. I used to live nearby thats why I came here often. It is convenient for people who live in this area but I wouldnt recommend to make the effort of visiting this place if you live further away
Mall has all the important necessities and good variety of food
Nothing diabetic keto me can eat but at least I can get a Coke Zero when accompanying my friend having lunch
I enjoy the many many wonderful makan
stall beneath. it’s a decent food street with food for thots a place deserved to be placed foodies paradise.
itachi, jolly bees , Korean, local…
its swarmped with great food.
This place has some of the best shops and restaurants around. Everything is a perfect 10/10. Foodcourt, NTUC, Dry Cleaning and Alteration services at level 4, salons and beauty shops at level 3, Donki at Basement 1 and upcoming Sukiya at ground level. Banks, ATMs and is conveniently connected to medical centers.
This place complements well the surrounding shopping and office complexes. There is a great variety of f&b outlets on the upper floors and it’s well linked to the medical buildings surrounding the place. It can get a bit daunting the first few times youbtry to navigate this place and also via the mrt tunnels, but you realise this is the cost of it’s well connectivity. You can also get confused with United square, ur square, with all their names being so similar
Great mall to go to. Plenty of food choices and there’s even a sports based mall right beside
Great mall, now still has bazaar to look for more variety of things to buy.
Accessible mall with plenty of good food!
Not as big as the Orchard Road malls but it has a distinct personality. There are many dining options here including Joe and Dough, Tunglok Teahouse, Seoul Yummy, Mr Bean, Jollibee, Old HongKong Kitchen, etc. There’s also Daiso and Fairprice in this mall. Don Don Donki has a branch here — but it only sells food items.
Shopping choices are limited in terms of homeware, electronics and appliances. There are stores for clothes, jewellery, sports, toys, etc. but there are definitely more choices in town.
Slightly old building but I love the concept. Has a direct linkway to Tan Tock Seng at level 2 or 3, and lots of Korean and Jap shops, groceries, and eateries, with a selection of standard retail as well.
A vast variety of shops – eateries – fashion wears – cakes – coffees and cafés – supermarket…….. many many more goodies foodies…….
Little food options, no free wifi.
A good selection of cafes, snack bars and restaurants. There are shops but not that many. Worth a look to see if they have what you want.
Lots of good eateries. Every level has something for you to fill your tummy with. And lots of beauty salon, nail shops and Daiso!
Convenient ntuc located at top floor to buy stuff for family or friends who are residing at TTSH or other hospitals around the vicinity. REAL FOOD at ground floor is also an AWESOME place for food and desserts! …
Nice retail mall
I love cold storage when talking about chicken Pepper Grill chicken wow, so yummy..
I work here at Phoenix Rehab in Novena Medical Center so a little biased – everything is convenient and accessible be it to MRT, food courts, public or private hospital, other buildings etc
For lunch and dinner you can also shop
Not a huge mall, a little confusing with mall layout, good for food hunt, 1 supermarket
Good to order Grab or Gojek from Novena Medical Center instead of the pickup beside Jollibee. At Novena Medical Center, you have a comfortable place to sit and wait for your ride to come
Its my usual shopping place and food venue after my visits to Tan Tock Seng Hospital n KK Hospital.
Boon lay nasi lemak’s chicken wings is our family’s snack while we are there. Morning breakfast be at the “you tiao” place with fresh “dou hua” and other foods like curry chicken with bread, ventury egg porridge, etc…
Its a convenient place to dine and shop around because the smrt is just below at the basement.
Square 2 shopping small is usually busy on weekends, it as all required shops and more of eateries. Advantage for people visiting Sqaure 2 is, it is connected to Velocity shopping mall, so choices are more. If you don’t like something S2, …
After Covid pandemic, it’s open with much more attractive carts and shops.
It’s big, has many shops, but the designer and architect of square 2 needs to resign and drop any form of design. Can’t find s*** around the mall. Got lost 3 times getting to NTUC and that never happened in my life.
Hidden tiny shops which are cramped and claustrophobic. You’ll get lost if you don’t know this place well. However, the mall is filled with many nice eateries which I like to visit.
If u like to eat chicken then u should go to the Caveman stall their chicken have differences flavours, tasty, tender. Mexican, ltalian, Indian etc. Eat in or take away.
A variety of eateries to cater to different palate, from Japanese, Korean to Chinese and Western food. The retail mix could be better, as there are too many small and not so interesting shops. Thankfully there’s a supermarket and Don Don Donki! …
Don don donki has arrived, many varieties of Japanese food and for member just need to download the apps to be one. Western can look forward to Jollibe or popeyes. Bubble tea can go for Liho , best of all there are always promotion pop up store around the area for example like mid atuumn there will be display of many moon cake or pastry around.
It is a nice and small shopping mall
Lunch time crowded but many places to satisfy your stomach. After good meal can enjoy shopping happily.
it’s a great shoppy with great makan
place for you to indulge.
The whole Area in square 0ne and two
has many wonderful makan place fir you to shop and dine. Go Discover and carry on makan.
the mall is clean, social distancing measures are in place and there’s a lot of food and beauty spots! my only issue is accessibility- the mall itself is set up a little confusingly. other than that, great place!
Good mix of shops. Very pleasant environment. Nice food places. Really convenient especially if you are visiting one of the medical centres or hospital in that vicinity.
This is a nice place. I like Daiso on level 2. They also have a vegetarian place at the basement which you can bring your parents to. They have mock chicken rice, congee and satay bee hoon for example.
This place link to TTSH, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. There’s shopping mall here. We can go to Novena Square 1 from here.
For booking a cab, be precise where you are. In this location many taxi pick up and drop off points available. Importantly Taxi drivers are very friendly. Have a pleasant trip.
Was ok lah. Only visit there for Donki
Square 2 & Velocity are next to one another. Near Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Mt Elizabeth Novena, Ren Ci, Novena Medical Centre, NCID, National Skin Centre, TB Centre, etc. Healthcare City @ Novena Estate. There are many eateries that have change hands but there are great food @ both S2 & Velocity. Sad that Koufu stalls on 4th level are gone, Yong tau Fu, Fish soup, western, korean & Thai stalls all gone.
Korean themed lifestyle mall. Many F&B outlets on multiple levels. Decent sized NTUC FairPrice store on the topmost floor.
Always is a good place to visit for food some some shopping.
Relatively cosy mall with wide selection of stalls, though can get quite crowded during peak hours. The walkways are quite narrow too.
This place are interlink & with Square II, are the place to shopping and dining. Every week the event hall have different stalls, events not forgetting promos.
Still the same bustling Shopping Mall as usually before the covid. Can find a lot of choices of food. Price is midrange.
Lots of store and very well organized
Convenient shopping mall with a great connection: MRT redline underneath and plenty of bus routes in front of the shopping mall.
Supermarkets NTUC & Don donki. Lots of food eateries. A vegetarian shop at the basement is good.
Also many clothing shops
As a mall, it has limited f+b options. There’s Daiso which is great. The other non-food stores are what you find in neighbourhood shops. However, its trump card is Don don donki in the basement.
Crowded during lunch hour due to offices surrounding the mall. Ideal place for friends’ meet up since it is centrally located with MRT station under the building.
Itacho Sushi @ Square 2 has a good variety, price is pretty affordable too. Dishes are fresh, the only set back is the ordering process for using apps is very lagging.
A very strange mall with random independent shops. Connected to the medical center and the newer mall, velocity/novena square.
We come here for dry cleaning and korean groceries. There is also some good variety of food in the basement and a small NTUC upstairs.
Basement eateries are well connected/next to Novena MRT Station. They are open to serve the breakfast crowd too. Mall is within the Tan Tock Seng Hospital & Novena HealthCity medical hub/vicinity.
A mall with a decent offering of stores, well connected to the hospitals and medical centres in the vicinity. Easy to travel to via public transport; wide and well-lit parking lots for those who drive.
Love going to the Donki outlet in the basement.
One of the more convenient malls that is within my neighbourhood. With safe entry check-in and limited entry points, it’s very convenient to park at L5, finish shopping at NTUC at L5 and escalator up to the parking
standard shopping mall with focus on food. Lots of options available but no entertainment options here
Neighborhood shopping, dining and leisure sit right at the heart of medical centre, hospital around Novena MRT stations. Link next to Velocity mall. You can’t miss this place if you are nearby or exit from Novena stations.
Good stop for some Korean and Japanese food and goods. There is a good mix of small 2 dollar Diaso shop, some good restaurants, hair salons, boutiques, a mid sized supermarket and a food court with a number of stalls. I like the fish soup stall there that serves local style fish soup and noodles.
Have difficulty locating parking entrance to the mall. Eventually parked at Novena Medical Centre.
Nice small cafe with good coffee and nice tasting food – simple and nice, friendly service
This place is like a little gem for food. They have good stores like jollibee in it, a Japanese sashimi and sushi place, chatiserrie for cakes.
But a special mention is this skewer store at level 1.. which serves really amazing lamb skewers at a very reasonable price.
I order 3 sticks, and they were 3 huge sticks. Couldn’t have enough of it… And ordered another 3. They were having a promo then where u buy 3 and get 1 free.. all in all. I ate 8 sticks.. and wish I could have more..
It’s that good in my opinion. Pity I din take a photo as part of this review. Hope they survive or even expand to other areas of Singapore.
Took Free shuttle bus fr here to NSC
Food good, service good. Nice ambience. But seating not proper. Prefer dining tables and chairs. Not sofa settings. Sofa seating is for afternoon tea.
Just a good place for people to eat lunch, near a hospital a small place to shop nothing much here
Global Holidays a fast n reliable transporter to KL and also had wide range of holiday destination across asia..subway located at level 2 .. watsons..alots of choices fr food and nearby busstop n mrt too
Fashion, shoes abound as well as eateries. There is a link bridge to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, providing seamless travel as well as bringing in the crowd to the mall.
There’re many shops inside this shopping mall which include restaurants, fast food and cafes, it’s convenient to travel here by train as the mrt station is right below.
It’s a nice place with a lot of eateries.. but the place is built like a maze and you will feel as if you are really in a maze when you urgent nature call… Due to this. I actually had to let go a loud fart near the food court while hunting for the nearest wash room…
When you acompany your family or friend to the mount Elizabeth hospital.. You can visit this place.. Just for walk or looking for food.. There is a Vietnam restoran inside (forget the name) I like the food
There are a lot of restaurants and cafes! The food court is a bit narrow and always crowded especially during lunch time but many tasty food
The shopping mall itself also very crowded all the time but when you happen to be near here, you can visit and have a look
Motorcycle riders can park for free at Velocity (Square 1). You need to head to the basement parking; higher levels are for cars only.
A not so new or old shopping mall build as a extension of existing Novena Square mall that offer an extended spaces for more retails outlets and food and beverages options for patron to choose from.
The extension came in time to meet new commercial buildings and a community hospital located within walking distance.
The options here served well for residents living and working around this area.
Square 2 is the little brother of Velocity Mall. It seems to have a mixed Korean food and fashion theme. Not a bad fan of the shop selections though.
This is quite a hidden gem for small medium and larger eateries.. especially for Jap, korean as well as Asian. Linked to the other malls around Novena MRT, this is indeed a good place to start to explore pretty good food. Was there to try the Korean Hansang who has been operating since Sq 2 opened 14 yrs ago, the Mr You Tiao which was lovely. Se my review on both. Plus many others well know and comfort food. There is a korean supermarket which my wofe frequents. Also there is a NTUC up on 4th floor… erh a little too high i must say.. enjoy
like the mall which link to other building even to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, no need to worry when rain or shine.
Nice shopping centre linked to Novena square. Conveniently located at Novena mrt Station. Still a great place to wine and dine.
We had lunch at around 2.30pm today. The koufoo food court was peaceful. Clean environment. Enjoyed a quiet lunch
I don’t need to intro much about Novena Square II because it was so crowded when I was there on Monday (4 July) 2pm, I couldn’t locate a seat in coffee outlets. Yes, the Novena MRT Station is at B2, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital TTSH is just across a road.
Lots of mini shops mainly ladies wear and plenty of f&b for the hungry one
Nice place, many shops to see, food stalls, bakery, cake shop, opticians, clothings, accessories shop, and many others, thanks
Fun and a place to explore all the nooks and corners. Like maze here. Never knows where to find the shops every time. Best place to play hide and seek with your lovers.
Had rendang chicken set for lunch. The thigh tasted dry and fibrous, like breast meat. Probably caused by heating up very cold precooked pieces.
We just go there to eat at jollibee and it satisfied my cravings. Then we went on skechers and bought shoes on sale. Love it
You friendly neighborhood mall . There are a lot of small businesses in the upper levels that you would have to really explore to find. Other than that, nothing that really makes this mall stand out. There are places to eat at the basement, and perhaps because the mall is connected to a hospital, selections to eat here are on average healthier (ie salad shops, fruit juice stores etc.) and cater to different dietary lifestyles.
The business ideas and model is good
But the Portion is small
Good varieties of shops. Went Old Town for a meal cos my wife like the toast but disappointed they don’t serve it that day.
It seems that many are not aware that Square 2 has a basement level. At B1, there are a few good food kiosk. Salad Chef sells high quality salads. Once Upon A Thyme next to Salad Chef sells good pasta. And the nasi lemak stall further down always has a queue during lunch time. To reach the basement level from level 1, you need to take the escalator behind Jun Hao. This mall is like a maze and the signages are not very clear. I suggest you approach the information counter for a directory map so that you know how to navigate around without getting lost!
Koufu at Novena Sq first time as well! Kimchi beef soup set, broth was not too tasty but then I was having cough so it was just nice for me not too spicy! However if someone has strong pallet suggest you make your broth thicker with more taste!
Is this better than KFC? First time trying Jollibee fried chicken and we loved it! It was tender and there was flavour inside the chicken. Tried the spicy chicken which wasn’t too spicy. They offer other items as well – steak, rice, spaghetti . • #letsguide #burpple #foreverhungry #singaporeeats #instagood #chope #hungryeatwhat #hungryeatwhere #foodie #foodiesg #hungrygowhere #chope #entertainerapp #sgfood
Generally quite good, but need more SD Ambassadors, still some people persist to think they are super being and come with slipshod masks or mask below the nose; some just love the smell your hair, coming so close… Giving the wrong message.
This mall is directly connected to Novena MRT station at the basement level. The adjacent malls provided a strategic access to the main road and a bus stop. The shops are typical just like in any other usual mall. There are food stalls, grocery store, fastfood, and other shops. Simple but a very exciting place to shop and dine.
A MOST unaccessible mall. Especially located right next to two hospitals and a medical centre. And within walking distance from a few others.
Unfortunately I was shot with an arrow to the knee recently and required hospitalisation and frequent follow-up sessions at the hospital.
Today I made the stupidest decision to go with my pre-teen niece to Novena 2 for a quick Daiso run before going home after a session at Mt E.
I can walk short distances and we took a short taxi ride from the hospital to the mall instead of walking.
The problems below are related to me but can definitely be applied to anyone requiring reasonable adjustments regarding accessibility.
Problem 1: Drop off point is not the same entrance into the mall. You have to walk around the side of the building to the entrance. I get it, social distancing and all. I’m sure there’s a better way for better accessibility.
Problem 2: at the main entrance, there is an unnecessarily long cordoned off area for lines. Sigh. There is no line! Where is the compassion and empathy shown by the heroic staff at the door? I was hobbling and at that time, almost fading. Everyone working at the door just stared at me and my niece as we comically struggled through the empty line into the mall.
Problem 3: the mall has escalators on either side of the building. Each has one going up and one going down. YOU WOULD ASSUME. Nope, in a mall where a huge target audience of the customers are probably there due to medical related reasons, the mall chose to set the elevator directions so that if you wanted to go up 2 or more floors, you have to walking across the width of the building to get to them. Back and forth.
Problem 4. Rest areas. Ok ok, I get it. No hanging around in groups. But, again, your customers are different! How about some compassion? Is it against the law to offer seats? I’m not being sarcastic, I seriously don’t know. And if it is, is there no creative and empathetic way to deal with this, that might incur more costs but gain so much goodwill in the end?
Problem 5. Car pick up point is not the as the entrance. Better, brighter notices will really be helpful here. On top trying to navigate the bad escalator situation in the mall, we had to look for the right EXIT. Don’t get fooled by the large glass doors leading out to the pick up point. No clear signage telling you that exit is closed till you are standing nose to nose to the glass sliding doors expecting them to open. I hear sniggering but I’m old and I don’t care what people think. But think of my poor young scarred niece!!!
Anyway, 3 stars. One for cleanliness. One for variety of stores that appeal to me. (Daiso, Donki, Itacho, Liho), one star for “value for money”, no stars for mall accessibility, no stars for “Will I come back?”. Hell no.
Excellent location with nearby MRT Station and hospitals. Good variety of food places, shops, lifestyle shopping brands.
Square 2 Mall is just inside Novena MRT station & there is a DON DON DONKI on Basement 1. If you enter through Novena MRT station, its just on your LEFT BEFORE you enter into Square 2 on your right. If you are inside Square 2, …
On a Sat afternoon during phase 2 reopening. Moderate shoppers. Have lunch at Ajisen. About 40% full house so good for 4 of us taking the lunch without waiting for long.
Quite a cramped squeezy shopping mall as the corrdiors are narrow with many turns and twists to reach different restaurants. However there are many restaurants and fast food outlets. Also has an NTUC fairprice at the top floor for groceries.
Very good shopping complex next to Novena all kind of basic stores are available here, nearby all are hospitals.
Lots of parking spaces now during circuit breaker. Good place to grocery shop, with Cold Storage, Fairprice and Don Don Donki.
The mall is small but still has a good variety of shops and restaurants so it satisfies a lot of customers’ needs.
For those who are bored of junction 8 then this place rocks. Maybe it’s because it’s near TTSH. And there is also a famous place of worship nearby. And it’s a whole cluster of shopping centers. My wife never gets bored here.
not so crowded. we went there to buy jollibee and on the donki store… also to the solmart to buy korean products..
Square 2 shopping small is usually busy on weekends, it as all required shops and more of eateries. Advantage for people visiting Sqaure 2 is, it is connected to Velocity shopping mall, so choices are more. If you don’t like something S2, just walk into Velocity. It as Kofu Food Court, however, most of the stalls are vacant except 3-4 stalls occupied.
Enjoy shopping around here with many dining options. Near to several healthcare centers.
Nice place for food and grocery shopping. A relatively small mall but has a good number of eateries, don don donki, daiso, ntuc, a foodcourt, salons and some fashion retail shops.
A normal mall with many eateries. Also a foodcourt and gast food joint. Conveniently ocated below a medical centre and next to Novena MRT Station.
Long time never go to this mall, same as last time, went on fri afternoon, almost lunch time, busy place, lots variety of food, there is also 1 korean supermarket that sold $1 for 1kg tteokkbokki that still have 2 wks lifespan.
So many delicious food selection, ranging from desserts, to japanese mart, chinese food and japnese ramen. One stop to satisfy all your cravings.
I like this little shopping mall. I work across the road from Square 2. My usual lunch place. You can get haircut here, you can find some sportswear shops here, MRT Station is here as well
Side by side with Novena Square/Velocity is a big advantage, it’s like Tampines Mall and Century Square but on a smaller scale. Very conveniently located with lots of good food places and not so bad shopping.
Has a number of good places to eat. A hard to find NTUC on top floor, Don Don Donki in the basement and a small Daiso!
Huge mall with great choices of food! There are a wide selection of Japanese restaurants.
Was a sheltered linkway to velocity making it convient to travel from one mall to the other
There’s usually a promotion or mini events on the ground floor which is great. Don’t find it navigation friendly from level 2 onwards. Shops closer to the escalators are easily seen, it’s those hidden on a small lane without any directory telling us what’s hidden there that makes it lose 1 or 2 stars. It’ll be fun if you decide to do a walkabout without any target I’m mind to see what’s hidden.
Square 2 Mall is just inside Novena MRT station & there is a DON DON DONKI on Basement 1. If you enter through Novena MRT station, its just on your LEFT BEFORE you enter into Square 2 on your right. If you are inside Square 2,
besides Jollibee, take escalator down to Basement 1. Inside Square 2 Mall. There are also FAIRPRICE on the 4th level & DAISO on 2nd level. There are also many Japanese, Korean food & stores like Den Ajisen & Fatburger, as well as many favorite LOCAL DELIGHTS, etc around ️
The alley between two rows of shops is narrow, can be quite difficult to find a particular shop because of many corner turns… Other than this minus point, there is a good mixed of retail and food n beverages.
Nice mall to shop, eat, do your hair. Very convenient. Mall is connected to Velocity, so it is like 2-in-1. Anyway, I like that place.
Many turns and corners that I dislike of this mall but very typical Far East kind of mall. Toilets are not always the cleanest but acceptable. Used to be worse when they have this funny mall scent when it was new. These days I don’t smell it or maybe they don’t use it anymore.
Easy access to mrt and above there is office and medical center..
Food wise quite exp and long Q during lunch time..
Shopping wise – not much choices and some area is hidden inside no much ppl will go in.. clothing are not cheap too..
Quite many types of food like unique fastfood such as Fat Burger, or simply Popepes and Ajisen Ramen. If you prefer some healthy sort of food the basement has some good choices. Parking is quite a tornado though. Daiso is also a nice place to shop.
Only vibrant shopping mall in the area, which is popular with the crowd. Lots of shops on every floor with eateries. Very busy during weekends!
New store. Don don donki just opened. Fun food.
Interesting place to shop.alot of good food located there.feel comfortable to shop at.
Good place in spore.
Great mall with quite some fashion retails, eateries, Daiso, DDDonki food Mart, Fairprice mart and overhead bridge link to TTSH. Only have one complain about the female toilet at Level 4 next to Koufu: it’s overloaded with chemical smell! I think the cleaner must have been spraying too much cleaning detergent in the toilets! I came out with the sickening chemical smell lingering on my body and hair. Management please look into this as it’s very harmful to our body. Thank you.
SOME I WENT VERY PLACES CLEAR BEST, BEST,BEST. ONE SHOP VERY PEOPLE GOOD.
My favourite Restaurant I visits will always be Chicken Hotpot at Level 4.
And Shop after meals at NTUC which is just next door.
There’s many varieties of retails at Square 2.
Easy Accessable by MRT.
UNCLE KIISU is finally in this place! We were just walking around and choosing a place to it, glad that we stumble upon this great place! GOOD FOOD, SERVICE and inexpensive! WE ordered…the ribs are very soft…i asked for a knife and they explained that i can even use fork and it is really soft! Loved it!
Too many restaurants and food. Very crowded during lunch time. No fun.
Sqaure 2 is a great shopping mall with a wide variety of food options, supermarkets, financial service and fashion as well as personal care and beauty services provided.
Don Don Donki, NTUC, Daiso and a mini mart with Korean food supplies are the super markets I visit frequently when I am in Square 2.
Liho Bubble tea is very well like by many. Joe and Dough cafe serves very nice coffee, tea with other pastries.
Fast food options include Popeye and Jollibee. There’s also Chinese food cafes like Tunglok Teahouse, Old Town White Coffee, Coffee Hive, Wang, etc. Korean, Japanese food can also be found there. Food court is located on the top level besides the NTUC. Bread shops, cakes and dessert shops like Polar Puffs, Barcook, Awfully Chocolate, etc. Many more food options are found on B1.
Hair salon, eye brow salon, nails painting services, foot massage, etc can also be found in Square 2.
Shoes, clothes, accessories, home products, etc are also available for sale there.
POSB is located within Square 2 for you to do your banking activities there.
It’s located directly above Novena Mrt and connected to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
#ILoveSquare2
The 火山 there is japanese food, it is very nice, recommended. Also got don don donki if you want. It is at basement 1 around the jollibee there.
Lots of shops and eateries here. New ones have been added. The issue is getting a place to sit down and have one’s meal.
Nice ecletic mix of shopping and food joints. Connects to building around through a warren of paths! Fun getting lost here! Oh, and good place if you like Japanese / Korean snacks. …
If you are not looking for the run-of-the-mill kinda mall, go to Square 2. It has some unique stores you won’t find in other malls.
Square2 is just like any other malls in Singapore. Went I to have a meal at Jollybee. Loved the spaghetti and the chicken. Most important is that it’s HALAL.
My favorite hangout. Convenient location. Accessible via novena mrt, next to square 1 (velocity) and a stone’s throw to united square.
Another mall located at Novena mrt Exit A. I like the Japanese beef rice at Sukiya restaurant here. It is very affordable for just $4.20 for a small sized bowl.
Great mall. Located just upper level of Novena MRT. Many stores including Donnki, NTUC Fairprice, Hair Saloons, Food Court.
I had my dress altered at Level 4 Cleanly Dry Cleaning & Alteration. Their price is very reasonable and results are very good!
It’s really nice. There’s a LOT of places to eat, and a lot of cool stuff to buy. If I’m not wrong, it’s a Korean-themed mall? So there’s many Korean restaurants and hair salons. Of course there’s a lot more than just food. There’s tuition classes, music tuition centres there too. There’s also an MRT station just at the basement level. There’s a taxi stop right outside. The car park is rarely crowded, there’s enough space. It’s a nice place to hang out, with friends or family.
Lots of shops to browse and enjoy but can get lost in between easily
Food, food food ! , some fashion outlets, daiso, fairprice . Typical suburban neighborhood mall
I rarely come here anymore. Used to come once in a few months due to pediatric around here.
Only few stores I would visit here especially don don donki. It is located at the basement but the entrance and exit are a little bit inconvenience. Need to enter by passing through the crowd on the payment and exit by doing so.
Had to spend time here while my wife conducted a clinic viewing……ok to spend time in Don’t go there at start of the day as ALL toilets on ALL floors seem closed at same time for cleaning!
Lovely mall to take shelter from the heavy rain outside. Lots of eateries of good quality. All shops are open for business.
Good place to stay warm with coffee with friends.
Nice atmosphere and you will find all costly brand items here .
Went to Donki Donki to purchase 6 bottles of juice andcsome sashami. Unfriendly cashier. Did not pack my purchases. Threw 3 thin plastic bags into my basket and wave me to be on way. 0 customer service. …
Bit messy
Novena Sq 1 & 2 is a very fabulous shopping malls in the central district.Interestingly this malls are always very busy especially during weekends.I like this place it offers almost everything I wants and have many choices of foods to your delight.
I particularly like this mall as it has many eateries to patronise especially when I am visiting the doctor at Novena Medical Centre.
This mall not only has many restaurants but also a huge food court managed by Koufu. Prices and food are decent.
It’s a great place to catch up for coffee or a meal as it’s conveniently connected to Novena MRT Station.
It is useful to note that there are many satellite eateries selling tasty and affordable local fare at the Basement leading to the MRT station.
This mall also houses unique Japanese and Korean bakeries and grocery shops.
Great place to have Korean food and there’s a daiso. It’s also connected to novena square and velocity so if you want to shop at 3 malls at the same time here’s the place to do it. It’s also just above the mrt so transport is convenient.
Great place to shop and eat! A lot of variety to buy for food especially, Japanese and Korean food!
Have some nice food selection. But cleanliness may not be up to expectations…
Shops are here but kind of hard to find. Will appreciate if there’s floor plan as given unit number only is tricky.
Escalator malfunction is inconvenience.
Many “hidden” shops, explore more and you found good one.
Sometimes there’s bazaar at ground floor and will be crowded.
Right below the Novena medical centre and right above the MRT station. Apart from the usual stuffs that you could find at most malls, this small mall houses some medical specialty shops including a medical bookstore but despite its small size, you may still miss out alot of the shops due to their awkward interior design.
The place to come to for your Japanese and Korean fix. But i had a hainanese chicken rice for lunch. It was a delicious set that came with a double boiled meat and red white carrot soup. We also had a dumpling soup. We preferred the double boiled soup.
Apart from resturants, lots of dress and beauty shops.
good variety of f&b and retail here. parking fees are reasonable. located just above novena mrt station.
We are here regularly, there are a few good options to eat here, but you shouldnt look to it as a prime dining location. We eat here simply because the kids have lessons here regularly.
Love that there’s Daiso, DonDonDonDonki and Jollibee here. Wish there was an ice skating rink and some al fresco cafés too.
With links to medical centre, specialist centre and TTSH…it is good to have so many good eateries and retail shops under 1 roof…Cold Storage, Han’s, Daiso, etc etc
Have many little shops selling a variety of goods. Many eateries too. If you have issues with spiral access to carpark, good to avoid as the spiral access ramp is not very wide and it spins up to level 5.
When this place 1st started, it was touted to be korean related shopping mall. Looking at the shops today, there isnt a main theme. Lots of restaurants to cater to the working crowd. Has a Daiso also. Has Ntuc for groceries.
I rarely come here anymore. Used to come once in a few months due to pediatric around here.
Only few stores I would visit here especially don don donki. It is located at the basement but the entrance and exit are a little bit inconvenience. Need to enter by passing through the crowd on the payment and exit by doing so.
Had ramen at Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen At L2 and Shopped Daiso Japan. Lovely mall w lots of things to look and linked to velocity. Great for Christmas shopping
There is Daiso and Don Don donki. Lots of food outlets eg. Hans (with Western and local food, pastries), Cedele, Mr. You Tiao (where you can dip you tiao in thick curry sauce, drink soya milk). Sometimes, there are food or shop carts in the atrium.
