Soup Restaurant @ united is pretty good. The staff there are quite service pro esp the uncle but it is chaotic on busy nites. Food is tasty and consistant. You can eat big as in group or many dishes or small but be prepared to order double or triple portions for a group as some dishes are small ones. Any soup of the day is fine by me and if you’re hungry the full platter of white/steamed chicken slices will help fill you up easy, I love the ginger paste it comes with. The steamed minced meat with salted egg n water chestnuts is a winner in my books.

Soup Restaurant is one of our favourite places for family gathering. Along with the popular Samsui Ginger Chicken, soupy dish like the Baby Spinach with Century Egg, and the “wok-hei” Hometown Fried Fish Belly are our best-loved. Menu was designed to order the food in one glance and get it served quick. Very cheerful group of service crew. Like the traditional dining tables that come in different shapes and sizes. Special thanks to Jonathan for the birthday cake preparation and related services. Well done!

This store at United Square is warm and friendly. The captain that served us has been very accommodating, letting us have seats of our choice, and served us politely, professionally.
The store manager also did her best to arrange the dishes in a way that suits our style. Lastly, one of male staff attended to our needs every now and then.
    Really customized service!
The ambience of the restaurant is great too, where a section actually faces a garden.
    Overall, great experience!!

Servicewise, still excellant. However, their samsui chicken is now very tasteless and texture is just wrong. Not half as addictive as before and i lost interest completely after eating the 2nd piece..even dunking it in the ginger sauce didnt help any.
The medium size ah por fan shu vegetable was very small in portion as well, and was limpid and bland tasting..
Their specialty hometown tofu had no special taste nor texture to it,and their fish slices with ginger were insipid and tasteless.
My all time favourite of olive fried rice was clumpy and yet superbly oily.
I have been a long time fan of their brand but i m beginning to think if i should revisit and revise this fact.
Paid quite a lot for this bill and yet went away feeling pretty shortchanged and disillusioned with the meal.

Super love their partnership with Grab, where you’re able to order on the Grab app and picking the food up afterwards. The samsui ginger chicken is definitely a house favourite, but also their fried baby kai lan with tong kwai. Had a food-takeaway done from this Restaurant, to enjoy the food at the comforts of my home. Especially love the ginger scallion sauce! Even ordered extra box of that for the next day.

Yummy chicken with ginger sauce. The set menu is quite a good selection, and decent value for the amount of food you get. Make sure to order the XO chilli sauce, it goes well with everything.

Had dinner at the United Square outlet. Great food and even better service. All the staff that served us were polite and helpful – if only all restaurants and service staff were like this. My wife requested for a knife to cut the sautéed broccoli we ordered as she found the pieces too big to chew. Even though they didn’t have a knife, the manager kindly offered to bring our broccoli back to the kitchen and to have them all cut into smaller pieces. And all done with a smile. It was a very pleasant dinner and we’ll definitely be eating here again soon.

This popular chain restaurant never fails to impress with its Samsui Ginger Chicken. In fact, every table had the dish on it. Spread the chopped ginger on the succulent and tender chicken pieces, wrap them with lettuce leaves and we have ourselves a bite of its signature dish. The order taker was very helpful in recommending a few dishes once we told her of our dietary requirements. The Claypot Salmon could do with a little less salt, but that is just my opinion. Service was efficient with our chrysanthemum tea constantly being refilled.

The contents look so miserly and we were astonished by the “appalling shrinkage” of what would considered an auspicious dish , inspite of our ordering extra abalone. dining for two
    (1) Steamed egg: The entrance is smooth and refreshing, and the seasoning is light, which is quite satisfactory.
    (2) Today’s Soup Lotus Root Pork Ribs Soup: The lotus root is sweet and crisp, the ribs are stewed just right, and the soup tastes heavier.
    (3) Dried lentils: The roasted aroma of minced meat goes well with the oily green beans, and the seasoning is just right, not too heavy.
    (4) Sanshui Ginger Chicken: A must! Much like the way of Hainanese chicken, it is very refreshing with ginger wrap and lettuce.
The chicken was cooked at just the right time and the meat was tender.
    (5) Peanuts with cabbage: The hot peanuts are very tasty and the stew is just right.

Their homemade sambal sauce is so delicious, I couldn’t help but take a jar.

Consistently good Chinese food! The Samsui chicken with a generous portion of ginger and lettuce wraps is a must have. Also good is their selection of soups and claypot rice dishes. I really liked the steamed minced pork with water chestnut as well.

I ate here without knowing that this restaurant is famous. I ate chicken ginger and silky chicken soup and stir-fried thin noodles I don’t know the name of. Appetizer? The almonds that came out were soft and delicious, and isn’t this a delicious restaurant? I started eating, and the chicken ginger came out first. After that, something like yakisoba with thin noodles was also delicious. I later found out that the black bird soup was silky chicken, but when I ate it, I didn’t know what it was and it felt eerie, but the soup had a very gentle and delicate taste. My office is in this building, so I think I’ll have lunch today.

Very enjoyable meal in a clean well managed restaurant with lovely friendly staff. We had ginger chicken, fried rice and a couple of other vegetable dishes, all delicious

Quality of food had gone down. The tomato egg dish is horrible. Price is high…. Soup is not hot and too sweet. The first 2 dishes came quite timely, the last 2 dishes were served 25 minutes later. Not a good dining experience. Not recommended.

    Nice to try it out.
There are many similar types of hawker centers, so it seems that the locals eat there.
