Sent my device for repair in early Aug. Almost three months, the device is still not ready, with no contact attempted by technical team.
I had to enquire on the status mid Sept and today, without any information sent via email or mobile though contact details were verified to be correct. Apparently the device is waiting for confirmation of repair cost, which was shockingly not mentioned in mid Sept when service staff spoke to me.
There’s no doubt that the staff are polite and respectful, but that does not mask or make up for the atrocious service level.

The 4 Ladies in the service centre gave exceptional service despite Lenovo not doing a proper job to make sure there was smooth handover from the previous service provider to Smartcares
It resulted Smart Cares in receiving the wrath of countless customers having a bad product experience with Lenovo and worst still the previous service provider (previous service provider) was not able to appease everyone (for whatever the reason is).
Ms T who attended my call was apologetic on my situation and was doing her best to get my laptop matter resolved. Which she did

However, I think much can be done in Lenovo on how they can better manage their cases as I have to contact the service center quite frequently to get updates. I had paid for purchase of new battery for my daughter’s laptop. After that, I do not receive any more news even though I had messaged yr staff Stephanie. She didn’t even replied to my msgs.
I had to go down personally to the service centre to clarify as to the update of the battery.
When Tracy took over the case, she was very understanding that my daughter needs to use the laptop for her upcoming exams.

I first admitted my Legion 5 Pro laptop under warranty on 11 June, the customer service staff were friendly and they told me they will send it to the engineer for diagnosis, I wrote all my requests and they said they noted my specific requests and were understanding about it.
My complaint comes that it has been about 6 weeks ongoing to 7 weeks soon since I submitted the laptop. To summarise that timeframe, I emailed them several times to be told the first repair failed and second repair was pending, they are understaffed as well so calls and emails often go unanswered. I was worried about what the status was and not being able to reach them through either email or the hotline, I ended up just going to their physical store to get updates as it was the most reliable method.
The staff themselves at the physical store are friendly, accomodating to questions/requests and explain everything pretty well and confidently.
My issue is my experience overall with them, like how long it is taking them to fix it or tell me when to come down to transfer my data if needed and even than I’m not sure if they can even fix it within 2 months at this rate as well as them being near uncontactable through their hotline and email. They are understaffed but it still shouldn’t be taking so long with an uncertain date for being done. I hope it is fixed soon.

I had sent my laptop for repair and under warranty. Initially no one bothers to update me the progress for months. As my gal needed it urgently, it was sent back to me without repair, stating reason that the parts had not arrived yet. Service improved tremendously after the co assigned a customer service officer by the name of Tracy, to follow through my repair case very thoroughly. She was very patient and sincere, which gave me the assurance that my laptop was in good hands and that they were working on it. She keeps me updated on the progress via sms. Service is quite good and the receptionist Tracy is very professional and polite, indicating the actual waiting period for diagnosis and replacement of components.
Originally it should take 3-5 working days for diagnosis (due to approval from Harvey Norman) and another 1-2 weeks for replacement of faulty parts, and the repair is completed in less than 2 weeks in total.
I would recommend taking a cab to the location, unless you live near Ubi Road.

I sent in my HP laptop for repair at SmartCare Solutions. Tracy attended to me with a smile. Her service was impeccable. She helped test my microphone and suggested that the speaker issue could be due to my setting on Zoom. She tested it and ruled that out. She also spotted an error message which indicated that there was not enough data in my hard disk. I am wowed by her professionalism and attention to details. Buying the extended warranty from Harvey Norman is a smart move. This is the 2nd time I sent my laptop for repair in 4 years.

The ladies and a gentleman over there were very friendly, from the start to the end when I got my repaired laptop. They are not shy to answer questions which means they are well trained. Overall I am pleased.
If I have to say one thing bad about the overall experience is, they have all the workflow well planned but weren’t prepared with the consequences. E.g. they emphasize that the responsibility of the data is on the owner and ensure things are backed up. But in my case I overlooked this portion and I just wanted to take out my HDD because I have too much data to backup over their wifi (yes they do provide wifi for you to back up your data into your cloud, + points) and send the laptop for repair, but they do not have a single screw driver in the shop for me to do so when I requested it when their business is Repair…
Thanks again! I was satisfied with their service and repair for now, but have not tried using it yet after the repair. Will update if there is any post-repair issue, if no update, this review will be as it is.
