I have been on Sindo Ferry’s Marina Coastal Delights dinner ferry twice and I plan to go again.
Why, you ask? Well, first of all, I love being on boats. But more importantly, Sindo’s ferry dining experience is truly unique because of the breathtaking sunset views at sea, set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Marina Bay. The only other time I got a similar view was when I was on Saint John’s island (alas…that was during the day).
The dinner is pretty good too, especially the Batam keropok (ahhh…those distant memories).
I also wish to highlight the excellent “SIA-standard” service rendered by the Sindo staff on board the dinner ferry. Furthermore, someone told me that all the lovely paintings on board are originals painted by one of the Sindo managers.
You guys are amazing man. SINDO FOREVER!

Went to “Kueh & Kusu” trip today. Since Kusu island now is for praying activities, we were diverted to St. John’s and Lazarus Island. They did informed us earlier and the trip was fantastic! The high tea was good with local kueh and sandwiches inside the ferry while on the way to the islands. It was an excellent experienced that will stay in my memory. The staffs were very helpful, polite and attentive. Thank you for the memorable trip. Highly recommended.

Been getting better when competitor Batamfast was leading in ferry service. Staff are usually polite and friendly. Sometimes there can be promotions on their services so be sure to check their website. Discounts are also availability to NTUC card members amongst others which I might not be aware of.

We used our Sg Discovery vouchers for the St John’s, Lazarus and Kusu Island trip – starting from Harbourfront at 8.40 am. It was very good. The toilets onboard were clean and well stocked. Shame about people using it badly but fortunately there is a waterhose – so can clean before using. The seats are comfortable and the aircon superb – esp on a hot day. However, the commentary could be better – esp since we’re travelling past several good spots – and if there is live cameras where we can see what the Captain sees, we will understand better – Instead the TVs show ads from Batam hotels to Zappy Toilet wipes! Which really had nothing to do with our trip. The drinks and snacks on board are pricey. Same drinks like coke and 100plus can be bought in Kusu Chinese temple for $1.60 instead of $2 onboard. The staff were great and very helpful and the little time we were allowed out to the top deck was great too.

Be Aware and Careful – When you checkin Baggage on the Ferry and reach Sekupang – Please make sure you ask the Ferry guys to release the checking baggage to you. Else you will be Surprised to see that there will be one Strager Standing outside the Ferry terminal with your Luggage and asking for Money. Surprisingly you will not find any one from Sindo Ferry anywhere over there.

I’ve documents need to be sent from Batam to Singapore urgently on Saturday morning. I’ve searched various kind of companies (including famous delivery companies) and contacted them via phone and email but no one reply.
Fortunately, I found Sindo Ferry on Saturday at around 6.20 pm and although I asked a lot of questions via WhatsApp, I received very prompt reply from Sindo Ferry on Sunday morning which is replied by Ms. Chorine! Lucky to have her and Sindo Ferry, so I could arrange the delivery on Monday and collect my documents in the afternoon (due to Covid-19, they only open at Tanah Merah branch)! Their delivery time follows their ferry schedule, subject to confirmation (please call / WhatsApp them before send) and the price is reasonable. Hope this review is helpful for those who want to send documents urgently from Indonesia to Singapore, please contact them for more information. Thank you very much, Ms. Chorine and Sindo Ferry!

When riding a ferry you’ll need to bring your passport since you will be entering another country.
It is best to arrive on time due to the process entering Immigration.
At the ferry when they say go to Immigration they really mean Departure. It can be confusing to find it since there are no signs that says Immigration.

We use Sindo Ferries for many years to travel between Singapore and Tg Balai Karimun. the ferries are reliable. however we would have wished to have some faster ferries as it is easily 1h45min with Sindo 9. Sindo Empress is 2h.
