At this 261 Punggol Way for the PGFN laksa $5.50 large one. Very old school taste and rich in ‘hae bee hiam’ flavour and thick gravy. A little downside was that the gravy served was not hot enough otherwise it would be one of the best old school laksa!

A Coffeeshop found within Punggol Block 261 beside Soo Teck LRT station. There is a Cai Fan(Mixed Vegetables rice) stall, Indian food, western, roasted meat delight, Yong Tau Foo and Zi char which operates in the evenings.

Coffeeshop size is small so do not expect to find seats during peak hours. The coffeeshop can be humid if you are seated inside. Other than that nothing stands out about this eatery.

Really delicious food and exception service! The boss was really nice and humorous. Great food coupled with friendliness and great service is almost extinct in Singapore! Oh yeah.. their service size quite generous
    1) prawn paste chicken: has the childhood taste.. well marinated and fried to perfection! Not like many other places where it’s over fried
    2) trio egg spinach: lovely broth and fresh vege with loads of goji, century egg, eggs and salted egg
    3) preserved radish tofu: oh wow… the radish was fried again to perfection. Have a feeling their chef is specialised in frying stuff. The tofu has a lovely crisped outer layer and mouth melting inner section!
    Well done!!!

Update Review for the month of September 2021
Probably my last time ordering from this Zi Char Stall.
The Middle age guy did NOT change back my order and hence i paid for some extra money for the ingredient. Not flexible and it is slightly expensive i feel that for this fried hor fun. Taste is okay though.
    Main 3 Stars…

April 2021….Sad that the Good Old taste of the Roast Pork (Roasted Delight Stall) is not the same standard as previously few years ago. Half Fatty Meat that is the best that i can get. Totally No lean meat.

Food was pretty good. But pay attention: If you are afraid that the practitioner will suddenly shout, please pay attention.
I would recommend this store as the food is quite good, especially the Yong Tau Foo stall. One thing to note for those who to eat here is to have some preparation in which a stall might scold someone, and it MIGHT be you who got scolded

    食物还蛮好吃。但是要注意的是:若你会害怕有业者會突然喊,請注意。

Side note: I am neither endorsed nor sponsored by them, but these are just my opinions.

You know when people say that some newer coffee shops are bad?

This particular coffee shop actually proved me wrong, and the food sold there is really good, despite being a rather small place. You have Indian Muslim food, fishball noodles, western, zi char and a few more that I probably do not know. And not to mention, the taste of the coffee is good (just come and try it for yourself).

First time visit this small coffeeshop located just next to Soo Teck LRT Station. There have stalls selling Western, economical bee hoon, you tiao, Indian food, fishball noolde, yong tau fu, chicken rice…etc..

    Roasted delight
    Chicken (3.75/5)
The chicken rice is very fragrant, not too oily nor is it very sticky. I had the roasted chicken not too dry or tough even for breast meat.

    Charsiew (4/5)
The charsiew is my cup of tea, not too lean, not too fatty as well. The charsiew is very tender and moist, would give it higher should the sauce be better and add a char grill taste to it.

    Roasted duck (4/5)
The roasted duck is very tender and moist. Haha would give more review about it next time as I only sneak a piece from my mum’s plate.

PGFN (Pandan Garden Fishball Noodle) (2.5/5)
The noodle is not too soft or stick together however the sauce to the dry version is very bland. Even my helper taste is not as heavy say its very bland.

    Srisun Prata
    Indian rojak (3.75/5)
The ingredients are pretty fresh, I had my reservations at first about ordering as its 24hrs and it would be very hard to maintain quality I think. However the food is pretty fresh. The only thing is the dipping sauce, its not fragrant enough.

Old school style bak chor mee. The chilli is the secret sauce. Remember to stir well before you eat. They don’t put a lot of vinegar here, which is fine by me. The noodle itself had a nice texture to it too. Not too rubbery for a mee pok.
