It has 2 levels and on top level was having quite a number of promotional items. The cashier was very helpful on that level and she even gave us her insights on the promotion items that leads us to save more money.

Sheng Siong is a chain of supermarkets in Singapore founded by Mr Lim Hock Chee and his two brothers, Mr Lim Hock Eng and Mr Lim Hock Leng. Mr Lim Hock Chee is also the current CEO of Sheng Siong.
The Lim family moved to another farm in Punggol in the 1970s. Years later, the farm experienced an excess supply of pigs, thus Lim Hock Chee and his wife rented a small section within a Savewell provision store in Ang Mo Kio to sell the chilled pork from their pig farm in 1984

They are not raciest neither Female or Male customers. And the best it’s their Staff’s are so Royalty that my Son had already grown up here since baby.. They were there with us despite During COVID Pendamic.

I have no words to say about Sheng Siong in SIngapore. In singapore, there are so many branches of Sheng Siong. You can find every product there in a store like every type of liquid products like coldrinks, milk, yoghurt, juices – vegetables of different types and also find accessories of daily usage you can find there. The staff of this store is also very nice to serve the customers. Must Go and Visit there once. You can find everything from one place.
Very popular with locals, lots of products at reasonable price, but due to narrow alleys, it can get very crowded. Almost impossible to push a trolley through.

The place is too small for all the displayed products. Walking lanes not so wide in the supermarket. But the varieties is not bad, most of the common daily needs can be bought in the supermarket. And there’s fresh live fishes here too.
Sheng Shiong is still the best value and freshest amongst all the local supermarket contendors. Come around 4am or 5am when they get their fresh seafood of the day direct from the fishery ports. The reason why they can keep costs so low is because most of their stuff comes from Malaysia, and even most of their staff is from Malaysia.. so costs are comparatively lower.
But I avoid all the China veggies, eggs and other edibles from China at all cost. Dodgy af.. lol. Not gonna risk my life or my customers’ lives for a few cents of savings. And quality-wise is very apparent. I pride myself in cooking with only the best quality ingredients and the freshest ones.

Expensive supermarket, rude staff and in-charge. Certain staffs are nice and extremely nice. But sine are just too rude. Ask nicely also want to raise her voice. Rude staff whom asked my kids too stop running. Can just say nicely to me but instead oi oi my kids. Rude!!!!

Just been to Sheng Siong @ Chin Sweet. Though it is 2 storeys but the place is still very small. To go to 2nd floor have to use the passenger lift which can take only 4 person.

Quite a big Supermarket with two levels
I had not been to Sheng Siong, Chin Swee some 2 years since I moved out of the area. I am happy to be attended by the same familiar staff who are as helpful as before as I was unfamiliar with a fresh layout. I congratulate SS on the new logical layout which is a great improvement. Most impressive is the new integrated automated checkout area where you still have a staff helping out with IT machines & teaching consumers at the same time.. This is most helpful to seniors like us. This is unlike other supermarkets where there are the manual/old check outs with separate self-service checkouts. Few use the self-service counters because of fear.

This place at Chin Swee Road I used to patron every two times per week since the last two years. I like the staff services, very friendly and helpful. Here I can buy anything without problem and the service staffs will help me to carry the things out to catch my grab if I ask them for help. Love coming here to shop and the things sold here are cheaper but because I have to go for massage at Whampoa Drive so stop coming here to shop as I go to NTUC supermarket nowadays there. Anyhow I will still come here if I am in Chinatown.
Quite comprehensive. This outlet has 2 level. There’s a lift in it. Most perishables are at level 1.
