Newly opened store near my place, walking distance! The staffs there are friendly and helpful, and there are many things and different things to offer than the NTUC that I go to. So now I have more choices between these 2 types of supermarket, happy.

Good n clean. However the check out is not very good. The cashier is nice n helpful but the logistics is not good. Take the stuff to scan from trolley. After bagging they land it on very small area. When too much. They stack or put on floor which is not hygienic.

Most Seng Siong services better then NTUC. Staffs are like your friend.
Try buying pork from Sheng Siong. Fresh, nice with good quality. The butcher is very experience and they can cut to your requirements and packed neatly in a plastic tray as what you have seen in the open shelf provided you bought a lot. Those on the shelf is very fresh, juicy and tender. Must try and you will have no regrets and you will continue to buy from them but of course the price is slightly more expensive as compared to other supermarket. Try it and you will know.

Great hunt in SK west. Definitely coming during midnight/wee hours to avoid the crowd. HDB multi story carpark

One of the largest Sheng Siong supermarket. Everything you need should be there. There’s also a Singapore Pool outlet beside it. Parking is convenient. Just park at the MSCP, remember the floor level and Lift number, and take the lift to L1.
The biggest supermarket nearest to my new home. You are able to get most of the basic necessities from here. There’s a NTUC fairprice across the road but it’s rather small.

A new 24 hour Sheng Siong has just opened along 455 Sengkang West Avenue. It’s bigger than most heartland SS. For me the greatest lure is its plants section. A lift opens directly in front of the supermarket. A minus point is that there’s no trolley return bay at the carpark (no free parking on Sunday and Public Holiday. Why so stingy HDB?). SS, please improve.

Like other outlets manned by non-locals – mainly Malaysians – the cashiers are either expression-less or allow queue cutting.
It happened to me at today. It was my first time at this outlet and there it was the cashier allowed a migrant worker to cut my queue. If not for the apologetic and awkward expression of the migrant worker, I would have condemned this place.
Updated May 2022: nothing has changed with regards to the service attitude and staff there. In fact due to a handful of construction projects around, migrant workers is the main customer group.
Service is excellent! I lost my purchase and the staff went all out to look for it regardless. Thanks all for your efforts even if its not retreivable for now cos an auntie picked it up after I left the shop.

Green papaya readily available in fernvale sheng siong . actually confinement food ingredients generally available. infant / baby section quite well stocked. fish & pork Station generally have informed and well knowledge staff, wouldn’t say about other branches. 24 hours. have Singapore pools as well and the ATM when you use PayNow with Google pay, you can potentially offset the 20 cents service fee if you dont feel like walking over to ntuc for posb or ocbc atm. the mobile phone reception is really bad , so bring along physical card incase you can’t get signal while paying. if you need to get signal while shopping, go to the pet food section. you can get signal, unless the lack of signal is M1 issue than forget about what I said. I think the staff that works here also quite good like they know what they are doing and they are helpful and legit good attitude. kudos to the team, thank you for the great experience on a daily effort.

One of the larger Sheng Shiong outlets and you will definitely be able to find most of what you need. Their selection of meats and vegetables was rather large and the checkouts process is usually fast. But do avoid the evening crowd as it gets really packed sometimes.

It is obvious that Sheng Siong has better managers and supervisors. Their team members are well-trained, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. The dominant labour union’s (easy to guess if you live in Singapore) supermarket chain needs to play catch up!!

My nearest supermarket from my home. Used to visit every single week for my groceries. The fresh produces was still fresh the last time. Comparing to now, they weren’t really anymore. Price is still cheaper than other supermarkets.
Nowadays went to wet market for vegetables which I notice will last longer shelf-life in the fridge.
