Not too big but can get your essential items

24 h. Plenty of parking. There is a small 24h Fairprice in the same block so if you cant find anything in either supermarket, just pop over to the other. Staff here are efficient and proactive. They will stop whatever they are doing e.g. Shelving, placing price tags, and open the counters when they see the queue building up. Such work attitude and team spirit is commendable.

Its quite a contrast to other Sheng Siong, like the one in West Coast. It seems all the diacarded items from other Sheng Siong are sent here to be sold. Such bad quality of fruits and veges! And that too at high price. No idea, may be just this day. But surely going to avoid this one in future.

Next to the Sheng Siong is a long winding ramp from Block 352 that’s about a storey high. Those riding bicycles or electric scooter can reach this supermarket in Block 352 and just next to Block 352 is Block 353a which is a small hawker centre and market
I visit this sheng siong supermarket which is a 15 minutes walk from my home whenever i need to buy poultry (pig trotters, pork belly or twee bah). The butcher on duty (till early afternoon) will cut to your requirements.
I dropped by on 31 Jul intending to grab a packet of brown sugar that is on offer. But i just couldnt find it on the shelf and had to get help from a staff member. Kudos! There it was, at the bottom shelf.
Staff members are friendly and approachable.
Just today i was not able to find the frozen saba fish that was on offer according to print ads. The young man manning the cashier counter was responsive and went to check with his colleague to help me out. Kudos for a customer-centric attitude!

Cheap grocery
This is a small outlet but has wide selection of groceries. The usable floorspace for produce spills out to the common corridor of the shop. With its narrow aisles, it is not suitable for mobility or wheelchair users though I reckon one could ask the helpful staff to assist in picking up the items.

The recent upgrades did not make shopping easier. The narrow passages are longer and the width of each row cannot comfortably fit two persons. ‘Traffic’ jams form when you try to move along the passage.
Shen shiong has what you need.

This Sheng Siong is quite big, especially when compared with the fairprice next door. You can find many rare ingredients of uncommon dishes.
This is like your local market stores, they carry essentials. Imagine all the different stalls in aircon space. They’ve chilled fresh pork, chicken parts, good selection of dairies including packed cheese, chilled juices, wide selection of biscuits and snacks including most of oreo flavours, ice creams, vegetables, fruits, lots of different condiments including Italian herbs, cooking oils, canned /bottled drinks , sundries, etc
Who doesn’t love Sheng siong? Generally cheaper prices and bigger selection of meat cuts, especially pork, compared to Fairprice.
