It may look small on the outside but inside it is really big and it is easy to purchase groceries here. One of my favourite SS outlet, opens 24/7. Its compact but well organised and well stocked. This outlet also has a good “reduced to clear” section for fresh produce and its really value for money.
Due to size constraints, this outlet does not have a complete range of items but it is neat and clean and makes for quick buy and go or just going in to browse.
The success story of Sheng Siong is “Make impossible, Possible” despite the fact that supermarkets in Singapore are dominated by NTUC, Cold Storage, and Giants.
Need more SME in Singapore with such mindset.

Rather crowded supermarket that’s not especially large. Gets the job done as a supermarket, and has quite a fair bit of promotions each week. The best part of this supermarket is how the carpark is just above the supermarket, making parking and loading much easier. Strongly recommend!

I left a tray of Seng Choon Carrot Eggs at the check out counter after payment done.
I return on 22 Mar 21’ , with my purchased receipt to counter check, Cashier Tan Yie Laine recalled the eggs I left behind, she said on yesterday evening, she was trying to look for me after I left the eggs at the counter .

You can find most of the household items here. There are many cash counters, hence checking out is fast.
1. Very often big plastic baskets are left every where.
2. Shopping alley became cramped.
The foodstuff sold here may not always be the freshest, but one can find better deals than NTUC Fairprice.
They’re also more generous, giving a 5% rebate if one pays using a POSB Everyday card with no minimum purchase value (compared to FP which requires a $20 min purchase and their Linkpoints rebate is lower). So if you’re buying only a few items, you’ll get a better deal.
Their senior citizen discount is 3%, higher than FP’s 2%.
The standout factor is their customer service. The staff here are warm, friendly, patient and carry a smile in their tone. . Much better than the oftentimes impersonal service one gets from FP. (Note: there is a FP store nearby, some of the staff there are also pretty friendly).

I had ordered a bulk of items the day before. When I arrived, I informed Mr.Weng Kee who had taken the order the day before.
He immediately brought my order to the cashier for settlement.
As soon as I paid for it, I had explained that I was waiting for my sister, and had no way of contacting her. He assisted me in contacting my sister and ensured that he carried the bulk order and loaded it in our car.
He was mindful that I was with a child and did not even once make me feel like I was an inconvenience.
He was very professional,polite and respectful.
His actions although in his words ” it is my job” was above and beyond.
The way he spoke to me, his body language and tone were all customer centered.
I was impressed. I hope he goes on to do greater things because he has a higher standard of skill set.

Good neighbourhood supermarket for daily groceries & household essentials. It’s also crowded at certain hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & weekends. The alleies between shelving are rather narrow for comfort during this period.
Service in this Sheng Siong branch is excellent, ranging from the staff weighing vegetables to the fish n pork departments. All are friendly n patient and go to the extra mile to serve you. Even the cashiers are efficient and quick. My church is just a few minutes walk away n it is a pleasure to shop here than any other supermarkets. I think Sheng Siong has improved by leaps n bounds in service n products. However I hope they will sell more produce from Spore and other countries instead of mainly from China.
