Nice place, very good view. I had dinner here with my friends once. Good food with cheap price and live music, singer. For residents of Sengkang, Pungol and Yishun, this is definitely a nice choice for either family or group gathering. Our kids like this place too because there are some sport games for kids

Seletar Country Club is a country club situated in northern Singapore, in a secluded area on a small hill that overlooks the Lower Seletar Reservoir and The Johor Straits. It’s outer design is meant to give it a rustic, cozy feeling.

Being in a secluded area, it is not near other places. It will take you a minimum of 20 – 25 minutes to go from the club to any other location. In terms of size, it is country-club worthy with a separate ground for golf, a court of tennis, an indoor area designed for gym-related activities and a fairly-sized swimming pool amongst others.

The swimming pool is quite enjoyable for families as it is only slightly higher than younger kids, and for a person of 5 feet the water level reaches until their waist. They also have a slide you can reach by climbing on the flat, wet rocks and a jacuzzi that you can also reach the same way. Leaves and twigs do fall into the jacuzzi and the slide, however that should be expected by people using them as there are multiple trees of different sizes towering over both of them. Refrain from sitting on the floor of the jacuzzi unless you want to be poked or scratched by fallen sticks there. The only consequence of playing in the pool is the fact that there is no signboard or floating rope to act as a warning before the pool slopes down to a depth of around 1.8 metres.

The place has been newly renovated which means that the country club has altered the facilities in terms of design and sizes and equipment provided. It is however, not completely done up as you will find debris and materials in certain sections of the country club.

The bathrooms are in all honesty, beyond the expectations of the average person visiting. For instance, the female bathrooms have a sliding entrance door which immediately leads to a mini bench(although you will not think to use when you have actually entered the bathroom). Upon crossing it, there is a section to the right with a singular massage chair, and to the left you will see a central area of a sort. The lit-up mirrors and sinks are in the middle of the bathroom. To the right there are lockers, each a good 2 feet in height and 1 foot in length. There are cushioned sofas and separate medium to large-sized mirrors in another section for hair-drying and make-up purposes. Yes, they do provide a hair dryer and an assortment of serums and others. A door leading out of that large section of the entire bathroom leads to the actual toilets. Another door leads to the shower areas and the sauna room. There are shower mats, a ledge for sitting, some shower gel and some shampoo given.

We had dinner at the inhouse restaurant. The food was definitely pricey, and guests who are naturally money-minded will not feel comfortable there. They do have special pricing for members though. Most of the menu options are part of the local cuisine, with carrot cake, hor fun and char kuey teow being some examples of them. There are other options listed that are part of the local cuisine, but usually not provided in other restaurants such as turmeric chicken.

Portions are very satisfying and toppings are not given in excess but are not stingily given. On the other hand, the western cuisine does not in any way tantalise tastebuds. The pizza base tastes different and the hawaiian pizza has more pineapple than cheese, basil or tomato on it. The chicken chops are not worth the price with its dryness and almost complete lack of flavour. The chicken was placed on the fries almost as if without thought. As such, the fries were served soggy and without flavour.

There are several facilities that the country club provides with a Japanese restaurant, a bowling area and another area for table tennis to say the least. In a nutshell, I would go there again for recreational and calming purposes. For food though, the current inhouse would not be my first choice. The food lacks soul and flavour.

Nice Family club. The staff are welcoming, the place is nice and cosy.
There’s a section of the ladies and gents that had just been refurbished so showering there would give you a new experience.
In the old section, there’s also a steam bath that I try to visit whenever I have the time to do it, and get refreshed!
The swimming pool is not very lap-friendly, but still can make do with the rounded edges. Over all very nice and cosy decor. You should try the outdoors BBQ dining when it’s available. The food is awesome!

Personally, I find this country club a little far away from most things and places. You’d need to drive to get here, but most members do anyway. Great place for golfing and to spend some time on the weekends hanging out and chilling with friends and families. Occasionally they do have events as well to bring members together, and as members you can rent the function rooms and ballrooms to hold your weddings or birthday celebrations.

Seletar Country Club: Located in the north of Singapore close to the Straights of Johor, Seletar Country Club (pronounced “sa-lee-tah”) is strictly the preserve of the club’s members and their guests. Visitors (local or overseas) are not permitted to play on the course, unless invited by a member. Facing Seletar CC from the opposite side of the wide Seletar Reservoir is Orchid Country Club, which can be played by international visitors.

Was there for dinner on a Saturday eveninh Another nice place in the Yishun/Seletar area for dinner or just to chill. Relatively inexpensive kopitam style food at their dining joint (Seletar Terrace). Beer lovers, unite there for cheap Heineken beer @ $8/pint or $14/jug (!!!). They have another resto bar called Seletar Tavern where they have a live band.

Food was surprisingly ok. It definitely not the best but it is still acceptable for me. There was no queue and you can definitely grab a seat.

The price of the food is generally slightly more expensive than food court but cheaper than restaurant. I was surprised with my bakuteh that came in such a big portion. Other food tasted ok as well.

Occasionally, there may be groups of old man who talks rather loud after they their golf session.

Would have rated five stars except for two things,

Two ~ even though cleant twice for us, table tops were sticky to the touch and elbows. A little off putting

Really fabulous view and cheap but good quality food, net price no gst no service charge The prawn in the seafood ho fan is very BIG… A bit noisy at that time as many uncles and unties finished their playing golf and chit chat there… Definitely will visit again with my whole family next time to try the laksa which looks soooo yummy

My first golf club membership it was then a 9 hole at Seletar base. It was build by the British forces. The club then and still is very sociable. I learnt my golf there and learnt quite a few tricks from the caddies who were mostly Indians. An interesting fact was the wife of the Club Captain and she spoke fluent Tamil although a Chinese. The Club then moved to its present location and an 18 hole and very scenic and a real challenging golf course. As I hardly play now I sold my membership but still retain fond memories of the club.

Went for dinner. The place was packed with diners, since it was s Saturday. Used to go there every Sunday before the Circuit Breaker period.
First visit after reopening of Phase 3.
They have replaced the tables and chairs with new ones.
Food was fine with large serving, meant for two instead of one.
We finished our main courses at about 8.40pm. We placed our orders slightly before 8.00pm. But two of our side orders did not surfaced. People were seem enjoying their satay and rojak but ours were given a miss.
We waiting until 9.20pm and decided to call it a day.

We ordered the fried carrot cake black version, fired carrot cake white version, hokkien noodles, curry chicken with prata. The fried carrot cakes did not disappoint. The taste is delicious and a joy for the palettes. The hokkien noodle is good. Ordered a chendol for dessert. It is ordinary but sufficient for the stomach. The customer service is average given that there are short of manpower. The price point is reasonable. It is definitely worth a repeat visit if I am in the neighborhood.

Cheap beers and delicious street food at this outdoor cafe with a live band performance (on Thursdays only) like Satay, Tahu Goreng, Fried Hokkien Mee and Kway Teow, Buffalo Wings; except for their Deep Fried Pork Knuckles (*dish not recommended as it is not the usual crispy German style Schweinshaxe, but small pieces much like pig trotters).
