This was the venue for lunch on one of the days I was in Singapore with 30 primary age children. This restaurant specialises in meals for large groups so the food is cooked in bulk. It was not the greatest meal I’ve eaten but it was edible. On the up side we had vegetarians and muslims in the group and they prepared separate food for these people which was nice to see because a lot of places like this don’t bother and they end up going hungry.

It is a 5 to 8 min walk from Jurong Point MRT. It seems more oriented for family with kids compared to most of the SAFRA. It has a Springleaf prata, Jack Place and an indian restaurant for food. Remember to show your members for a 10% as sometimes they won’t ask.

This recreational center for members is a good place to gym, swim and relax. It is situated a distance from the train station and it is about a 5 minute walk to get here. Probably the reason why there are fewer people in this Safra. The pool is clean and sometimes they play music through underwater speakers which I find really cool but totally unnecessary. Like all things in life, you want but you don’t need it anyways, the gym is very crowded on weekends and busy on weekdays and I did not renew my membership for that reason. Above that, the member fee is above market rate, even with the discounts and promotions. The staff did not seem too keen to retain customers. There’s food on the ground floor and educational outlets (not tuition, but those for preschool kids) in this Safra as well. Parking charges are ridiculous so please don’t drive here.

This place is quite big. There are many parking lots. The dinning place at Jacks is a boo boo. Jacks advertised thr drink in one for one free on coke xero and AW rootbeer. However when you place order the shop said that it’s out of stock. I cannot imaging an established shop can run out of stock. This is poor inventory control. The management need to be ticked off. The seafood beehoon is very salty and also there is no preserved green chill to go along. It was a bad experience dinning there. Not good enough to deserve a service charge.

This review is for the safra gym: Equipments are old. But there is easy availability of equipments and machines. Crowd control is within a tolerable limit. Conveniently connect to the swimming pool from the gym. The gym is situated inside. You have to walk further inside from the main entrance to reach it.

At first sight it is a four-star WOW! My first visit and will certainly won’t be my last. Went there for Jacks Place. Also checked out the clubhouse.

First, Jack’s Place is spacious, bathed in natural light and offers great views. The food is good. The service is super. The potato soup (of the day) is, well, forgettable. Don’t go on weekends as they don’t offer Students Meal. Barramundi portion seemed to have shrunk but plate covered by garden vegetables. Still one of the best JP in the West yet.

The swimming pool and gym the Fitness block is amazing – spacious, well staffed (more life guards than anywhere else) and well equipped with the latest.

The Leisure Block is, ahem, so so.

Car park space is plentiful and bright. Elevators clean and fast. Washrooms worthy of Safari Park.

The architecture is modernistic and yet garden themed. Yeah. A far cry from the days of the first SAFRA clubhouse in Shenton Way and the old Tao Payoh clubhouse.

    Lucky Jurong folks

Big and spacious, not too far from the mrt station, less than 10 mins walk. Went to the indoor playground for kids with my niece and nephews. They had lots of fun. Beware of overcrowding within the playground, they collide frequently. Lol. In general, it was a good place to spend a day at, price is $10-30 per pax. The children can spend their energy there, with restaurants nearby , very convenient for family.

Usually head there for the Energyone gym.
the gym has a good variety of machines and spans over two levels. first levels are mostly machines while the second level mostly are free weights.

safra jurong usually has various sales at the lobby so it might be worth catching out their website every now and then.

They have a kids amaze there as well and a hobby shop.

they have a small selection of eateries which includes an ice cream palour, a few japanese restuarants/buffet and a small cafe called old town coffee shop which sells coffee and local delights.

A good-size children pool, but can be very crowded at times. Because of the SAFRA buildings nearby, the pool will have a shade from both the morning and evening sun. So if you’re worried about the scorching sun, then this pool is perfect for 8am or 5pm swims. Another good thing is the lifeguards have a good view of the whole pool and they are very attentive and alert. Kudos to them!

Brought my family for lunch at Jack’s Place on a public holiday. Not crowded, spacious aisles in the restaurant. The tenderloin is good. The waiting time for the food to be served is acceptable. The music is not too loud. The setting is nostalgic, a niche amonge the another ‘me’ modernized restaurants nowadays.

SAFRA Jurong has lost its charm. Not like it was say 10 years ago.Its like the buzz is missing and the place needs a refresh. Prices of everything at SJ has gone up significantly from the food at the outlets to gymn fees etc.As a former SAF /SCDF reservist who had served until the age of 50,I feel let down by the apparent fall in standards. Probably require a more dynamic management to improve SJ.
