Great dining experience here. Place is fairly new and the decor is great. Only gripe is there can be a shortage of chairs and tables and it can be quite a wait. Taste of food makes uo for it though. Food is often served warm and dishes are replenished when sold out.

Limited place to dine in due to safe distancing restriction. Food portion seems to be smaller. Used to served in proper plates but now using large paper rectangular box. I just hope the main restaurant at kandahar Street still uses proper plates.

Super average service with expensive price. I can order the same dishes 3 times and the price will be different every single time. Wanted to get a portion of a dish for myself for takeaway but was told that they don’t do such portion for takeaways unless I mixed the gravy with my food.

Delicious Botok botok ( fish with vegetables in banana leaf wrapped and steamed) my mom’s favourite. Tahu telor my hubby’s favourite, Spicy samball sotong kering kembang my favourite. Lodeh, beef rendang, terong belado, fish ball soup, begedil etc etc. Bubur kacang, kue kue Melayu and Teh Tarik too.
If you have a function they do catering too.
Eateries like this make your meal planning easy as you can do other stuff.

Tucked at the opposite end of the B1 carpark and away from all the other eateries and supermarket, one has to wait for a seat at lunch time, that’s how popular this restaurant is. The food is good but a little pricey. Love the beef rendang and the curry chicken. There’s a good variety of kuay kuay too. During peak hours the seating will spill over to the non restaurant sitting outside.

Think the taste standard not like before. Used to think Hjh Maimunah food cannot beat the standard of Rumah makan minang. But now ive change my mind. Rumah makan minang cannot beat the standard of Hjh Maimunah..
The price at Rumah makan minang is also more expensive now compare to Hjh Maimunah.
The portion served is also lesser then Hjh Maimunah.
But again, different people have different taste buds…

This is very good nasi padang! I had sambal goreng, spinach, and ayam mesak merah. Chicken was really juicy and the gravy was just the right amount of sweet and savoury. A generous amount of chilli was given when asked. And it hit the spot. Just wish they served sambal chilli too. Teh halia was amazing too! It’s a cozy little spot tucked away at a little corner of the B1 of Tampines Hub. Quite a lot of people patronizing, and deservingly so. Thumbs up!

This simple cafe at the Tampines Hub offers good Nasi Padang, together with home made desserts with a good cup of brewed teh Tarek. Reasonably priced, the cafe is nestled on the basement of Tampines hub. It can get crowded during the lunch crowd, so to not disappoint yourself, avoid the lunch crowd. It’s a fulfilling and satisfying meal altogether. Enjoy !!

Awesome nasi padang in the early afternoon, do ask them for their specialities from heir honest crew, its one of the best i tried thus far with the quantity, though the quality still could be improved as some days it isnt consistent. Would like to also personally thank them for returning the bag that was forgotten and also going an extra miles for that, really appeeciate it. Their teh tarik is a must try for a satisfactory one.

Fairly good service. I ordered my food at 1.45pm and almost all my dishes were only slightly warm. The cuttlefish was over cooked. Tahu Telor was too sweet in the centre. The fried chicken in sweet spicy sauce was over fried and hard. The batang fish in yellow curry sauce was ordinary. The curry chicken was tender and fragrant. The spicy kang kong and potato patty were yummy. Their belachan chilli was fragrant and yummy. The ondeh ondeh was QQ and quite yummy. The lemak green bean soup was quite yummy but was almost room temperature. It was a pity that Assam Fish was sold out because I would love to try that. I will visit their other branch at Bugis area next time and be there earlier to catch the Assam Fish and try their food at higher temperature.

Go to place if I need indonesian style nasi padang. Beef rendang, daun singkong, paru, green chilli, tahu telor, all fantastic.

If i have to nitpick, i prefer the beef rendang to be a bit harder, a bit more burnt, with peanuts. But the current tender type of rendang is enjoyable also, less jaw ache.

Food was flavourful n tasty, however quite oily and a tad too salty for the chilli and some dishes (for health reasons , definitely cannot eat often ……). Quite pricey…2 pax portion (5 dishes…with 1 meat and 1 seafood) always cost us more than $30++. Try to reduce the oil n salt used in ur cooking.

Honestly, i feel that this place is not serving the tasty food it was once serving. The taste profile has gone down, curries feel dilated. It has lost the richness in the dishes. I’d still go here because of the price point of the dishes.

Went for dinner and the taste was good but portions were really small. We had the sambal brinjal, one piece of beef rendang, one curry chicken drumstick and two bergedil with rice and two iced teas, all for $19.

    ———-

Like their tahu telor but only managed to buy it once out of three times as it is very popular. The food is tasty, particularly the beef rendang. Service is usually friendly and staff does help in bringing the food and drinks to your table.

Ordering is rather haphazard and sometimes takes too long, as customers in front take their time to select dishes. Then there is another slight hold up at the cashier’s station, as drinks are also ordered at that time.

Had the beef rendang, lemak daun singkong and sambal goreng with sambal belacan on the side and teh tarik to wash it all down. The food here is significantly better than Sari Ratu, Warung M. Nasir and Warung Nasi Pariaman and marginally better than Sabar Menanti. Hajjah Maimunah is still “it” for me currently. Rumah Makan Minang does lemak daun singkong very well, along with teh tarik which tasted perfect to me. The sambal belacan was spot on in flavour but the texture was much too fine, almost like a thick sauce. The beef rendang was rich in flavour but over-salted and the beef was tough and very chewy despite having been scissor-cut. The sambal goreng was too sweet and lacked fragrance but was otherwise sufficiently tasty. To its credit, RMM is generous with its rempah and everything looked and tasted sufficiently tumis-ed. Many nasi padang places cut the rempah frying time short and this shows in the flavour, aroma and texture of the rempah, resulting in dishes that taste and smell like “rempah mentah”. I hope RMM will improve on these minor but no less important issues and not dumb down the flavour profile of their dishes to cater to diners who prefer a less spicy and sweeter flavour profile. These people should just go eat dessert.

Singapore’s best Nasi Padang is also available here in Tampines, and it tastes just as good as at the original branch in Kampong Glam. If you are hungry, like really really hungry, and just want something so flavourful and delicious to fill your stomach, even until you are beyond full, this should definitely be your go-to food. You can’t go wrong.

We always go back for the Rendang. It is so soft and tender at the same time. This will definitely satisfy your Rendang cravings.

Nice authentic Minang Kabau food with a little touch of local Malay cuisine. Reasonable prices. The picture tells the story… Worth the trip.

Service is good. Food is rather bland esp the lontong.

Food is delicious. I liked the beef rendang but expensive, maybe it is because of beef.

Have been patronising this place for several years. Food is good but staff is always slow & confused – lol. Need patience.

It is pricey compared to other nasi padang stalls in the east but well-worth your money. Every dish I ordered was super tasty and the beef rendang was SHIOK! They have a huge selection so I’ll be coming back to try the other dishes.

Front plate pictured cost me $13
