inexpensive chicken pot compared to Chicken Hot Pot in a coffee shop
but the gravy/soup very “black” spices not so fragrant
    kinda thirsty after eating
but comes with free ice cream, great place for family with kids

Suddenly feel that I’m having a braised pork soup hotpot instead. For those who want to try should order less salty as it become more and more salty overtime.Food portion is very small. Price abit costly for soup base especially. Other then the decorations and fun service by the robot
Abit disappointed overall for a 1st try.

I’ve only tried chicken pot at few other places in paya lebar area and so far this is the best. It’s far more flavorful but overly salty. Would be good if we can opt for less salt. Queue may be long, and the downside is we were seated right by the roadside which can be quite unhygienic. But I’ll definitely return but perhaps try to get a better seat

Not worth it for the price you pay. It’s just a ordinary chicken hot pot you can find anywhere or even cook yourself. The broth is quite thick but you can know they added to much salt to make it tasty.

The portion here is huge, but the soup mainly has veggies inside like onion and garlic and abit of capsicum. Highly recc adding beancurd skin. Recc going for mild spicy and the least salty soup option if you want to drink the soup. Otherwise, it is kinda on the pricey side for street food as a additional plate of veggies can run you $3.5 and a additional plate of meat will be like $5.

I can see myself eating this on a cold day with lots of rice though. Chicken overall a great experience!

The place is located near the Punggol Nasi Lemak area. There’s chicken/frog option available, you can also choose your spiciness level. Medium portion is for around 3-4 pax. There’s a fridge outside for you to select and add more ingredients to the soup. It feels like eating hotpot. Ingredients start from $3.50 to $5.00. Anyways $5.00 is just for the pork, so the rest of the ingredients are $3.50. Love the taste and the portion was okay for the 4 of us. The only issue was the place is very cramped even though they have fans/coolers available its still very hot. Nonetheless, it’s worth it to try out the dishes!

Went to their new branch at The Chevrons. First time. Wanted the hotpot that cost $24.90 but they gave the 2 of us the full pot which cost $31.90. Why would 2 people need such a big pot?? I selected medium spicy but it was extremely spicy even though I eat chilli padi daily. The soup was extremely salty. So disappointed as I looked forward to drinking the soup at the end of the meal. The staff didn’t come to fill our glasses with water. We were only given a small glass of water. Payment is by cash / nets or Paynow, credit card was not an option.

The concept is good and the service when we were there was friendly.
However, when taking a closer look at the vegetables, they were dirty, the residue of soil was still very obvious (they later deducted that item from the final bill). Still, this is not acceptable, and can’t reason it with lack of manpower to wash the vegetables.
Another issue is that the soup is very salty, so we couldn’t enjoy it that much.
A third issue is that the chicken is not cooked long enough in the sauce, so it is tasteless compared to other ingredients which require less cooking time to take the flavor.

Another feedback is that the basic half chicken pot is way too big for two diners. Perhaps they could add quarter chicken to the menu.

If i wanted a salty dinner….this is 1 huge pot of it. Always wanted to try it and oh well…..once is enough for me.
Add ons are small and expensive and all 5 of us didnt had a good dinner.
2 of my frds had to dabao other food to compensate for it.
Go with an open mind perhaps if u just wanted to try it.

Friendly staff thou, service was good but thats about it.
The guy pushing the drinks, shown us all Jugs ONLY. Had to ask agajn if single cups are available instead of Jugs. Why would i want 1 Jug of Milo or Lime Juice when its just 2 of us drinking, or perhaps its to fight the salty dish.
Not sure if its part of his Target to push for Drinks, Jugs in particular.

The soup is drinkable but bit salty and look very thick. The soup cook with mixture of soy sauce, onion, garlic, dry chilies, vegetables. 2 of us ordered half chicken, we top up with instant noodles and pork slices. The meat Chicken & pork are “tasteless”. You can actually add other steamboat dishes such as enoki mushroom, cabbage, meat, etc. The food is filling. The staff will add clear soup for you, even added clear soup, the soup color still very thick. You can choose the spiciness level. If you are thristy, suggest try the ice lemon tea $2.50, can help to neutralise the spicy food also.

First time there. The service is fast and food came fast. There is quite a selection of add-ons (vegetables and processed food) all stacked in two fridges. They are considered pricey in comparison to some of the traditional hotpot. Not quite worth it.

The chicken pot is more like a gong po chicken with a lot of sauce. The chicken is not very well seasoned and the sauce is quite salty. This will goes very well with rice but not noodles – we had some noodles cooked in the pot as well. They can add more water to blend the taste a little.

Not too sure if it is something I like. But something different from a traditional hotpot/steamboat.

The soup can be thicker abit more to make it more shiok.. but overall still taste not bad. Half chicken got alot of bones which I don’t like. So for those people who like 雞胸 breast meat more can go for the half chicken or else chicken drumbstick will be more suitable for you.. price is $26.90 for half chicken plus 1 plate of taiwan sausage and 1 plate of udon and 1 plate of crabstick total cost is $44.40. It would be just nice for 3 people to eat. If late night want to eat steamboat, but want to try something else. Can also try this but must be someone who love 重口味 then will appreciate this.

Ordered a whole chicken (mild, less salt) hotpot plus fried beancurd skin. The portion is good for 3-4 people. You can add additional vegetables, mushrooms or meat from $3.50 per plate. Good to let the hotpot cook for another 15mins when served to ensure all meat are fully cooked. Service is prompt. Just find the meat a little dry and still overly salty despite ordering the less salt option.

Chicken Soy Sauce Chicken Pot. Was initially quite hesitant about this dish, but the low expectations probably help score this dish even higher with its savoury addictive sauce. Quite salty to me, I drank 2 cans of 100+ and asked them to top-up the clear soup cos it’s really salty :X

Had the signature braised soup based and indeed it was tasty. Potato noodles and tau pok goes really well in it. It became pretty savoury towards the end even though we ordered ‘less salt’ option.

The kicker comes in after dinner – I was so thirsty for the next few hours that no amount of water could end this. Had to take 1 star out of this.

love the concept, hotpot style with added ingredients. chicken is very tender, perfect pairing with the sour and spicy chilli! however we did find the dish too salty, good with rice but still very strong tasting.

This is the place to go for my comfort food. It’s delicious and savory. Service staffs are very friendly and service is prompt. This store in the coffeeshop is still the best as compared to another one down the road in terms of service and quality of food! Thanks Yvonne n team. 很好吃!

    Simply the best!

A heart warming birthday dinner with my best friend last night.

Frog and chicken Claypot at Qi Xiang claypot (奇香鸡煲@Kovan)

Super delicious! The frog/chicken meat is so fresh and tender and the broth was so addictive and tasty. 2 thumbs up!

The side dishes like quail eggs, mushroom, luncheon meat, vegetables, pig skin etc add a touch of fulfillment.

We had a great time dining together in this windy outdoor setting too.

Nice food, good place to be with friends. just limited parking and be prepared for the heat, as place could be warm due to the hotpot. Staffs are very nice.

You’re reading this for one reason, should I eat this restaurant or the other one. Unfortunately, I didn’t eat the other one, but I chose this.

The pot base is really good. But the standard drop recently. So see your luck. I say the price is reasonable (not say cheap). I would get the chicken thigh instead of half chicken (unless you like breast meat).

The additional side ingredients is welcome, but it’s really ex though. $3.50 for a small plate. $5 for the meat. Hmmmmmm.

No GST and SC, which is good?

    Free Ice Cream.

Among the few of the chicken hotpot brands in SG, Qi Xiang is definitely one of the chicken hotpot that standouts among those that I had tried. For the given portion, the price is reasonable and their signature chilli is a must-try for sure.

I use GrabPay to pay it is $30+ for two pax.
    Soup free flow
Soup taste average for herbal chicken soup.
To me it is expensive to have half chicken soup for $26+.
Add on side dish like veggies n mushroom.
    See picture for price.
The in-house chilli sauce taste great as it’s nicely mixed spicy.

    To me:
Soup taste is so so only.

Great quality hot pot, ordered the herbal soup and the spicy braised chicken pot. Cost per pot about $27 with half a chicken. Generally well ventilated, can be better maintained in terms of cleanliness.

The herbal soup is sweet and pleasant when we ordered it with less salt.

Generally the taste is pleasant, the side plates were more expensive. Not worth it.

Next time we visit, we will order the herbal chicken pot, add 2-3 vege dishes. Nice to share with 3-4x adults with rice and probably have 1x plate of fried oyster.

Tasty but will get “jelak” and very salty after a while as the soup boils. Ordered mild spiciness, normal saltiness and half a chicken, added on beancurd skin, enoki, vegetables, imitation abalone, pork belly, fishball with fish roe, 1 bowl of rice and instant noodles. Portion was good for 4 people and total cost was $72. Would recommend getting less salty if you try this!

My favourite to go to chicken hot pot. Always like to chill with my friend there for supper. Of course, the food is more towards salty side, so if you’re a fan a salty food, then you will like this!

    Came here on a Saturday.
Crowd isn’t that much as we came at a early dinner time.

Ordered a ‘1 full chicken’ sized pot, medium spicy level.

Portion was just nice for 4 adult.

The ala-carte dishes are in the fridge for easy selection.

No time limit, and the staff are always walking around to refill the soup and serving us.

I don’t take spicy food often but still can stomach the mild spicey and less salty option.

The soup was flavourful and aromatic and the chicken was tender. Half a chicken was a tad too much for a couple and it would be better shared by 3.

Good place for dinner/supper. Nice broth, but can be a little salty. The chicken breast is really dry, so I recommend going 2 thighs instead.

However, please make sure to double check your order. I ordered 2 thighs, but was given half a chicken. Still amazing, but thighs might have been better.

Side dishes were normal, felt it could have been cheaper. Favourite one was the fried beancurd skin roll. Soaking that in the soup was simply super delicious. But sadly, 4 pieces for $3.90 is a bit steep haha

Total cost per person was $25.

Tried their signature qi xiang chicken pot, i like their side chill. But frankly i feel that that their hot pot chicken don’t really have much taste. Felt like they cook the chicken and pour over the sauce. Taste of the chill don’t go into to chicken if you get what i mean. Have yet to try their herbal chicken pot. But what i observe is that most people order their qi xiang chicken pot.

Been wanting to try this stall for a long time; always long queue when I walk past it. Finally got the chance to try it today. Overall it’s savoury, which suits my liking, but i still prefer its competitor just next door. Soup base is very similar, but the chicken taste slightly less flavourful (just a little) #ChickenPot
