Speaking must learn how to speak Chinese because they don’t seem to understand English. The sauce is nice. Ordered the soy sauce chicken and find it to be tasting good. Comes with a bowl of soup. Queuing system can be explained more clearly to avoid conflict. One suggestion is to issue a queue number for customers so that the customers get the right order. Came at 2.15pm and the char siew, siew yok is sold out. Probably because of they started selling early in the morning.

I was there 9:30 in the morning, no queue at all. Had this for breakfast. Rice has a strong ginger taste and it was ok. Nothing fantastic unless you would like to try Rice balls.

The service attitude is very friendly. The food is delicious. The point is that they don’t refuse you to bring pets. As long as we sit at the back automatically.

I happen to know this restaurant is thru a friend, today i went there for dinner wit my group of secondary schoolmate, we are all happy with the dishes which we ordered.

Overall all the dishes taste yummy, except
for the stuff you tiao, we find that is a bit oily.

All the dishes when u eat it, u can tell they are all freshly cook, cos when they serve it to u, all is piping hot, not like other restaurant some of the dishes is not hot at all.

I will recommend this restaurant to all of my friend, the staff over there is also friendly, & the best thing is they don’t have a 10% service charge.

It’s an old hdb blk with this chicken rice stall, a hidden gem, in the Jurong West vicinity. Had only manage to pack the food back as I’m working on shift.
The rice balls are Fragrant and piping hot, with the texture not too sticky even when being rolled into ball shaped.
The portion of the 1/2 chicken is jus enough for 2 big eaters. Charges $12 for the half chicken and $0.40 each for each ball of rice. Totalling to about $15.20 for the whole set!! Damn worth it.

Was thinking this was gonna be an overrated advertisement but went on to try it after discovering the YouTube introduction 2 days back.

Now, the savory rice alone was perfect. You can taste the essence of the stock in every grain. And the chicken, was exceptionally well prepared. Skin was roast to just before a crisp. The insides were juicy and the taste was flavorful.

The Char Siew was great too. Not the tough meat. But soft and succulent.

The roast pork wasn’t my cup of tea though. I love full crisp on the skin to a golden roast. This place didn’t offer that sadly.

Price was ok, not my first time eating here, I taste more flour instead of the meat, i hope they can improve on it. Suggest you not to order those meat that they fried it b4 coating with sauces as there isn’t much meat in, breading is thick.

The quality of their rice ball is really fine. The texture is perfectly in between grainy and soft. The nice balance of garlic aroma makes every bite addictive. The chicken is fresh but slightly dry. The soup is a bit on the salty side. If not for the chicken and soup, this would have deserved a 5 stars. A plate costs $4 and comes with 3 rice balls. Their curry mee could be worth a try. They also serve tze char dishes from noon.
Overall, for those who miss their Malacca food, this is worth a trip to try.

Food and service are good. Price is very affordable. 1 thing to take note of: the waiting time on weekends can be crazy long. Be prepared to wait about an hour or so. (Not a one-time incident. My friends face the same problem on weekends too.) Apart from that, do try their curry/ assam fish head.

Heard about this place on SNS. Ordered a half chicken set for $20 and it was too much for 2 people. Chicken was nice and flavourful. Thankfully chicken breast wasn’t too dry. Rice was just ok.

Good food, pleasant ambience with soft chinese music. There is definitely a maestro in the kitchen. I liked the 干炒鹿肉河 which hit the spot。Prices are fair for a restaurant tho’ higher than JEM food court. They have a lunchtime buffet for $24.80 per adult, min party of 3. But I resisted!!!. See photo for description of buffet spread.

Price was decent. Staff was eager to take order. Food so so. Tried their salted egg pork chop, ginger honey chicken, asam fish head. The latter 2 was rather disappointed. Ginger honey chicken overwhelm with vinegar taste though it was not mentioned anywhere that its cook with vinegar, asam fish head paste was thick. We were expecting a thin and watery paste. Should not be visiting again.

We tried the food there recently. I don’t really have pics as the food was not very fantastic. However I would recommend not going for the buffet. We tried the buffet and the food was average. However what irate us was the time taken for our 2nd order to arrive. 1h plus later despite a reminder, didn’t help. After that we left. So maybe just calling as zhi char will be better, otherwise no point calling the buffet.

I went to the chicken rice after seeing the interview in mothership. Not expecting too much as quite a lot of the “recommended” food places tend to disappoint me quite badly, but this is a nice change. the rice balls are steaming hot, fragrant with the smell of ginger and chicken. the roasted chicken I bought was soft and tasty. Totally worth the effort to wake up early and go to this store for a chicken rice breakfast.

Expect 45 mins to an hour’s waiting time easily at lunch peak! Rice balls are fragrant and a hit with the kiddos! Steamed chicken is the better bet, flesh juicy, tender and soft. The roasted chicken is a tad dry and over done in my personal opinion. Inform staff ahead if u do not want ur chicken drenched in sweet soy sauce! Speaking of which, we are gonna try the soy sauce chicken next time!

A good zichar place. Our standard order – Egg Fried Rice (add more eggs), salted egg sotong, stir fry kailan or broccoli, sweet and sour pork or sweet and sour pork ribs (排骨王). Their slice fish bee hoon soup with added bittergourd is one of my favourite too.

Chicken rice balls are a rare find in Singapore. Portions are fine for the price, however the sauce used on the Char Siew is the same as the chicken, and it didn’t seem to match well. Fried shallots used for the vegetable is the factory pre-made kind, dry and does not go well with it, would have also preferred it to be the wet type stir fried with the vegetables. Overall still a pleasant experience.

We were there to celebrate birthdays. There were 8 of us and we ordered the set menu for 8 to 10 persons. The eight dishes we had included omelette, prawn, curry fish head, chicken, pork, squid, vegetables and beancurd. It was a good meal for following reasons:
    – delicious
    – friendly and enthusiastic team of staff
    – value for money
    – comfortable dining environment

Honestly, it tasted a little below average as the rice is quite sticky which explains how they can make the rice into a ball. Chicken was average as well. Nothing to shout about! I wish there were more places in Singapore which sold the chicken rice balls!

Situated in Vision Exchange, lunch crows seems good for a normal weekday.Food wise is ordinary, pricing is fair but seating areas are a bit cramped.

Visit this place rather frequently for good zi char food. Some of my favorites are their handmade tofu cooked hotplate style as well as their salted egg squid. Their fish in chye poh is also really good and I also highly recommend their cereal chicken. Overall, this is a nice place for good and affordable zi char food and I’ll definitely be back again.

Food was good. Had the red grouper steamboat, caipu tofu, oatmeal chicken and silverfish kailan. But the place was definitely not air-conditioned. Typical under the HDB zhichar place.

Very nice tze char food. Love the salted egg sotong. Very chewy and crispy. The vegetable soup dish is delicious, the soup is tasty . The prawn taste chicken is great too. It is crispy and savory.
