We Punggol-ian’s are pathetic when it comes to food. I wished we have a coffee like this in Punggol.

This coffee has got really good prawn noodles and you can actually order satay for lunch!! Mind you, the satay is no ordinary meat sticks, but they’re served with the traditional pineapple satay sauce!

White beehoon, satay, western stall, zi char, mixed rice. These are just the stalls I could remember. Not sure if there are halal options.

All the dishes we tried were pretty decent and we are definitely coming back again. The only negative comment is that while the satay was well-seasoned, a handful of sticks were a little too charred for my liking, ie the cook wasn’t consistent.

Note: To the earlier reviewer that said the coffeeshop is warm and humid…SINGAPORE is warm and humid. And this is a coffeeshop. Please be fair with your comments and ratings.

Overall, the food in this kopitiam are quite nice. I especially loveeee their 红油抄手, the taste is restaurant standard!! I also enjoy their rojak very much as its tasty. The auntie is very kind to allow me to choose the ingredients, not all rojak stalls allow me to pick & choose.

Went specially for the prawn noodle after reading many good reviews. Indeed, the pork rib is tender and flavourful, the noodle with tasty chilli paste is yummy, the soup is robust and pack full of flavour. To top it all, the service is great with very polite counter service staff. It is a gem in this area.

Always crowded — because it houses all the best stalls under one roof. And surprisingly, most stalls don’t partner with food delivery platforms.

The zi char, rojak, bak chor mee, prawn noodles, satay, western food, Indian Muslim food and economy rice stalls are all good! The drink stall also sells hot pastries that are pretty yummy.

The zi char is tasty and value for money. One regular portion is more than enough for 2 people. Expect a queue during peak hours, however you won’t need to wait too long. Our fave is the fish head curry and Mongolian chicken.

The rojak is so delicious, an uncle said he would come all the way from Jurong for it! And I agree, it’s the best rojak I’ve tasted in Singapore so far.

    Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Sengkang!

Note: As of Feb 2022, this coffee shop still only allows maximum 2 pax per table.

Love the bak chor mee (chilli and vinegar) is very good. Tried the white beehoon before too and it was decent with the sambal belachan chilli. The satay is Chinese style, serving pork satay! Has pineapple in the peanut gravy.
The drinks stall also sells the triangle shaped curry puff

Small coffeeshop under multi carpark, has many stalls selling local delights even at 8pm. Fish all noodle is ok but not for the laska. Satay not too bad, the gravy is thick with pineapple and can taste out the peanuts in it. Even at 9pm, this coffeeshop is still quite crowded with beer drinkers and diners

Ba chor mee is good there, tze char used to be good until they started cutting corners in recent years and attitude from the staffs from the tze char stall isn’t the best. Chicken rice stall is decent. White bee hoon stall is operated by the same owner as the tze char, hence it was only good during its first month and after that started picking bad habits from the folks tse char stall and started cutting corner.

Besides the Zi char stall, there’s another ba chor mee stall that is extremely popular. Roast meat stall – Roast duck is fantastic. It is different from most of the roast duck stalls in Singapore. Try the roast duck without the gravy, just with the oil, it is amazing. Savory and not sweet. As for the chicken rice, the rice is really fragrant and perfect level of oil is used.

The Satay stall is also amazing, nice mix of lean and fat meat on every stick grilled to perfection. The aunty (with heavy make up) no longer come to the stall , and the stall is managed by another chinese lady ( i presume her worker) who has also mastered the art of grilling satay!

The Zhi-Char stall – Must try the Singapore Bee hoon, nice work hei! The pineapple fried rice (large) can feed at least 6 adults!

    1st visit dated Oct ’21.

Long Q for big prawn noodles so we try the kueh stall selling chwee kueh, chee cheong fun, yam cake, nasi lemak, otah… etc.. instead.
Managed by a kind understanding friendly, good service, caring Aunty.
when I ask for no oil chye po for the chwee kueh, she quickly scooped up the chye po to drain away the oil and answered no problem..!
I praised her for her kind understanding and she claimed will try to drain away the oil as much as possible when she is free..
Eaten halfway through i saw she is selling nasi lemak too. So I ask her to prepare take away for me and she asked me to sit till she pass me the take away food and return me the change..
Hardly can meet such a good service in the neighborhood coffee shop..
Will be back again for your kindness and support you Aunty!

One of the best pork satay and sauce ever eaten. Only order the pork version as it is slightly charred and the meat is juicy. The peanut sauce is topped with a generous spread of pineapple so it’s really good with a little bit of sourness to balance the sweetness of the peanut sauce . The chicken and mutton versions are nothing to shout out for though.

Do visit this stall if u want good comfort food!

Most expensive coffee shop prawn noodle ever patronised. SS5.50 to $13.50 per serving! But the most delicious prawn noodle and the authentic soup is……wow…..sedap. And always patronise at odd timings. When I visited at 4pm, no queue.

A kopidiam which have one of the best prawn noodles in that area. There are about 10 stores in the coffeeshop. There is a multi storey carpark just beside the place that means parking have no issue. There is also a small supermarket for your post meal shopping activities. There is wheelchair access to the place with plenty of seats available

Chicken rice shop ftw, generally sells out before dinner.
For the “famous” noodle shop near the drinks store, they are rarely open for long, usually night time only; when they are open, expect long queue.

Food are ok. One thing to note is the lady that clean the table, she only clear the tray. You have to clean the table by yourself. Encountered and saw her doing that a couple of times. In times like this, the hygiene level is not up to basic standard.

For disclosure, this review is done after having visited the outlet after hours, so am only sharing about service and what was available then. Horlicks was NOT available. Hot drinks, as a normal setup, was passable (coffee/tea)… Pastries offered looked just okay-tried a tuna puff pastry, which turned out to be SPICY!! (NO indication on label) was not very palatable… Service at the hour (past 1am)was not great, and the crowd (or not crowd, but group) were out to just have a drink and many were smoking…(even outside of designated areas, but no surprise) Food which otherwise this place is known for is supposedly well-known (like prawn noodles and others) will possibly append to current review when able.
