NUS is not only my life learing journey. It is also a learning journey for my three children. As I witness my youngest child Phd graduation ceremony today, I reflected on those memorable days I had in NUS. I am grateful and thankful to NUS for being part of my life journey and also to help nurtured my children to be useful and making differences to many peoples lives. It was a cherished memories.

Went to NUS Medical Centre Eye-clinic at 17th floor for my annual eye checkup. Numbers of parking lots are available at the Medical Centre. However, those parking lots can be quickly filled up after 9am. You may like to arrive a bit earlier for an empty parking lot. The services of NUS are good in my view.

A place that is great or beauty to visit is not its design or decorations. These may be just small part of comfortability to attract the visitors. However, the most important thing is all the people working there that really set up the place image. Nuh may not be a place for play but it can be a place for visit as all the staffs there be it Nurses, Doctors, stall n shop attendants etc are mostly very kind and helpful. Guess most people will have a pleasant day there.

The school turns out great researchers and book smarts employees.

However, in general, it does not churn out well-rounded individuals.

For some reason, alumnis of NUS do not perform well in large social environment where people to people social skills are required.

The NUH that I visited recently (have not visited a long time) really impress me. It is easily accesible via Circle line transit. When I step in I see a clean and well organised set up. I directed to the station and theu inquire your purpose here and a few questions to make sure you are not exposed to Covid19. They adhere very strictly rules regarding Covid19 prevention which kind of give you the assurance that you are in good care. I ask for direction and they promptly give you the direction and I get to reach the place in a short time. Very well organised.

It’s medical services are great. Besides hospitalisation, it has in house specialist clinics and a one stop Cancer Centre. It’s easy to get around as the distance between other towers are quite near. It’s close proximity to MRT station, bus stops and taxi stands make it very accessible. There’s drop off points for other PHV to use. Doctors, nurses, case managers and social workers are professional and caring.
Though I have moved to the northern part of Singapore, I still come back here.

I was amazed when I visited this campus back in 2014. Still I’m wondering how an university campus can be so beautiful. This campus is the combination of the any modern shopping mall (e.g. vibocity) and a decent forest. One can enjoyed these both feeling once he/she inside of it. Everything is heavily organized and the campus is so bug that you can not visit the entire campus in a single day. The campus is full of stairs and that’s why sometimes it is called national university of Stairs.

Several physios and doctors immediately rule out wear and tear for joint symptoms if you are not a senior citizen (aged).. even if you live an Olympics daredevil lifestyle. NUS provides you with great infrastructures and facilities. There are college bus which you could take to travel between faculties. Went to U-Town to eat at the foodcourt. The variety of the foods there are quite broad. You could find Korean, Indian, Japanese, Chinese and other foods. The price is cheap for students and non-students. There is also a small swimming pool in the U-Town

In the USP (I’m not really sure whether it’s called USP because I found it in between halls near the U-Town) cafeteria/foodcourt area, there is also a halal food section. This canteen is only for NUS students since you need your student card to get the foods there.

From Buona Vista MRT, change to Circle Line, dropped off at Kent Ridge station, only 2 stops away..

As I walk out of the station, NUH Main Building was on my left, like a 100m away, fully sheltered..

What a changed since my last visit many years ago..
