This 3 or 4 star hotel is located near the Orchard Road and Stevens MRT Station. Although the look of its exterior and interior are quite standard, the price is affordable, the facilities are nice featuring an outdoor pool and gym, the bedroom looks fine and comfortable with nice and quite informative service.

I have a memorial stay this in Y Metropolitan hotel in July-2017. This hotel has been renewed totally, rooms are new and clean. It has a small restaurant serves a good breakfast, also available for lunch and dinner with a-la-cart menu.

Happy with the stay. GM is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile, when she learnt that I am going for Registry of Marriage, she took initiative to take photos in nice backdrop for my family. Then when we got back to our room at night, we found a card congratulating us of the happy occassion. So thoughtful. Staff (reception) is very responsive, and helpful, will take initiative to walk us to the other hotel entrance when the main lobby was under road surfacing for a few hours. Also, when we ask for help e.g. make up room, borrow iron, etc, it will arrive within minutes. Room was clean, well-maintained, spacious. Basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothbrush set, shower cap) and hotel slippers included. Breakfast spread is good enough. Have basic vending machines (containing food, drinks, even body lotion) to make up for the fact that no 7-11 around. Strong wifi in all levels. My parents were happy with the stay too
Entered room 424, I had to endure strong rubber smell which gave me a headache. That’s not the worst of it, the telephone in the room kept turning on by itself on speaker mode ( as if someone is pressing it) n here comes the creepy part: it kept pressing keypads ( with each button, there are sound of the keypad) and it rang, requesting to enter the mailbox pin. N this went on numerous time. It even hang up the speaker n redo again. So, I had to unplug the telephone wire n headset wire. So what do you think: haunted room or phone is spoiled?

The room is very bad at keeping the noise from the outside. You can literally hear everything from other rooms. Don’t even ask me about the breakfast. It couldn’t be worse. Stay away.

Worse hotel I’ve ever experience…unfriendly environment (staffs and services). pillows in bad smell , I request for but no response and action done, food during breakfast are the same everyday, proximity from city or shopping area is too far. shuttle to MRT is limited. pool smells too much of chlorine. Canteen personnel are rude and racist. never come back to this hotel.

Booked a daycation from 11am-5pm, reach at 10.45am and told us that the aircon was spoiled and they are unable to accommodate us. No proper apology and no service recovery was made .

Service staff are quite attentive and helpful. However, food here is a little bit of a hit and miss. Some dishes are really tasty (claypot chicken rice) whereas others are just disappointing (Singapore laksa).

We would like to take this opportunity to share the review about yummy dishes from the Metropolitan YMCA Restaurant. If you are a BIG FAN of fish head curry, it’s a must try dish when you are there.
Besides the fish head curry, fusion cabonara, traditional Singapore rojak, claypot chicken rice, chendol and sago gula melaka are worth to try too!

Ks is located near the subway, so it is very convenient to travel, because the area of Sing is small, the hotel rooms are also relatively small, but the quality of service is impeccable. Sing friends are very enthusiastic and friendly, always giving detailed instructions to each place for their family.
You should go on your own, you will experience many interesting things that cannot be found on a tour! with only a little English (don’t need to be too good), do your research first and … just pack your backpack and go ^^
Poor experience with volunteers from youth wing during kids interaction programme. Unprofessional, vulgar during breaks, unnecessary delays and latecoming. Kids beneficiaries were dissatisfied too
The equipment is too old. . . The room has an unpleasant smell, and the outdoor air is fresher, and the air-conditioning is not good! There is no food or choice nearby, and the subway station has to walk a bus stop. The only advantage is that the staff has a good attitude…but too many customer feedbacks are difficult for them. Even the most basic WiFi is difficult to connect in the room, so the management Layer incompetent ah! As a guest, of course I don’t recommend it and there will be no next time!

Well, if you want to know about the food, I got ya covered. The western is good for its price. I come here quite often for zi char and without fail, the claypot is always a staple for me. Good staff. Good service. A nice, chill place away from the crowd most of the time. Parking is also pretty good unless it gets too crowded. Would I come here again? I don’t know much about the hotel but I would come here again… and again and again and again and again because I think it’s quite a cheerful place.
So-so place but cleanliness is above standard. The lobby isn’t that nice.
The buffet serves vegetarian and halal options but after a few days, the food tend to taste the same.
Staff are courteous yet not that friendly except for the Filipino manager.
The room came with many ant colonies and several large cockroaches during my stay. Especially the bathroom has moldy ceilings and both rooms smell of mold intensely. The room was not cleaned well when I came. The Wifi barely worked for playing videos or making voice calls. The staff was always friendly.

The worst.
I stayed here for 2 weeks, the room was very dirty, never cleaned and full of ants. It smelled really bad the moment you left the lift and the smell in the room was even worse. My roommate complained multiple times about several problems but nothing happened.
I tried to be patient with this hotel but they don’t deserve it. First of all, in my room, I hear all the sounds from other rooms and outside as well so it’s too noisy. The second thing is that the room is hot and I have to take my clothes to be able to sleep. The third and most important thing is that my room is not cleaned well, and once I open the water inside the toilet there is a strong awful smell spreading in the toilet and that made me vomit many times. The third point is that even though they don’t clean well, they removed my “don’t disturb” sign and entered my room when I was outside to clean without respecting my privacy that I don’t want anyone to enter and I didn’t ask for it, and their excuse was that I’m a student. Maybe students here don’t have any rights or respect and cleaners should enter whenever they want and without calling and asking for permission..!

Very nice lunch at New Ubin Seafood restaurant. Food are served with an added twist. Must try deep-fried brinjal, BeeHoon full of Wok Hei (high heat frying). The Steak is served with a variety of dips and glutinous rice. Yes, die-die must try their sweet desserts too. Service is good, nice environment for business or leisure.

It is a clean and simple accomodation. No frills but good enough for family to stay over if you have a function in town. Room comes with breakfast… Again its a very simple one. No complain.
Rooms are as they look in the pictures online. We are in a serviced apartment. The staff is nice and friendly. The rooms could do with an update but otherwise they are clean. Very close to Stevens road MRT station so transport is easy.
This a place nearby I live. Loved it.
Firstly, the room looked dramatically different from the photos featured both on Trip and on YMCA’s website. My booking was for a suite. I returned to check with the concierge, but was assured, in verbatim – “There are many types of suites, and this is one type.”‘ My request to change to a suite with a bathtub was also denied (photos of a suite room on Trip.com featured a bathtub). Moreover, the photos also featured a full-size refrigerator and a microwave oven in the kitchenette. None of these were available in this significantly smaller version of the suite. 4 beds were crampedly placed inside the room. Please do not take my word for it, look at the pictures taken by my wife. I would also like to add that the room, and especially the wardrobes had a musky smell which was obnoxiously unwelcoming. My prior request for a babycot put forth during booking was also overlooked. TV remote was nowhere to be found (a first out of all the staycations I’ve had!). Called housekeeping for help. Staff tried to dersuade us into not having the babycot by giving a visual description of how morbid it would look. “Your baby will be like in a cage”. When we decided that we would still like the babycot, staff took half an hour to return while forgetting about the TV remote altogether. Did not return for another good 20 minutes or so. I resorted to searching for him along the walkways. Finally spotted him standing by a housekeeping trolley and reminded him. Only then, he sprung into action and told me that he was going to fetch me one. Lastly, no towels are provided for swimming pool patrons (also a first!). If towels aren’t going to be available, it should have at least been made known during the check-in or at least when asked about the pool (because I did ask) and all that was told to me was that would have to exchange my card key for one that could access the pool.

A disappointing experience. Many things to complain about. Wifi in the rooms was slow and frequently cut out. Rooms were dated – carpet, curtains, and bathroom probably haven’t been deep cleaned for years. Bad ventilation/air conditioning system abound with malodorous smells. Lights in the room were dim and dreary. Restaurant downstairs tries to do Western and Asian food yet struggles at both. Location is one of the worst in Singapore, at least 15 mins walk away from the nearest shop. They tested their fire alarm in the middle of the day for 4! consecutive hours without telling guests. However, staff were friendly and helpful.
Staff very polite and good services
Had the buffet lunch it was not the biggest variety or premium ingredients but for what it does it does well. Mostly localized dishes which included pig trotter, herbal duck, deep fried fish, claypot rice, noodles station, etc… Had a small salad station + rojak with two types of Asian soups and a small but sufficient dessert section with some fruits and quite tasty ice cream. Most everything was above average in taste and appreciated the clean renovated environment, but what capped it off was the exceptional service that warranted the 5 stars. Especially as I’ve had a bad run of poor service recently likely due to staff crunch/shortage. It was refreshing to see top service with smiles and willingness to help from a mid tier venue in SG, almost seemed like we were not in SG anymore which is a sad testament to how service standards have dropped. Would of probably given 3 to 4 stars but the top service and clean renovated interior with reasonable/value for money pricing prompted full marks!

I booked a deluxe triple room. First they gave me a double room with an extra bed and then tried to put us in a triple room with no windows. Poor customer service!!!
