One of the best food in Singapore dare I say. Every bite is met with an explosion of taste! this is the best prata in Singapore. The prata is crispy and oily, but not too hard like others. Like all prata shop the curry is also different and this one is thick and good. The chicken tikka and masala was superb, the meat juicy and tender. Ice lemon tea is also good to cool all the spice down. It’s all so tasty we always end up over eating here

Great place for prata or briyani. I love their plain prata here. The prata is crispy on the outside layer and have thin soft layer inside. The plain prata itself had the sweetness of bread.
If u having prata i recommend order the mutton tulang curry to go. The curry not so spicy but nice texture and go well with the prata bread. The mutton is yummy, tender and juicy.
If u are looking for prata around Alexander area I definitely recommend this place.

Tucked away on the ground floor of Alexandra Central mall, and unseen from the main road, is this cool Indian restaurant that served shiok Indian food!!! The prata is very crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. The chicken mee goreng is very flavourful but too salty for my liking with chunks of chicken. One can smell the aroma of the tea 5m away before it hit your table. What’s amazing about this place is the variety of dishes offered- over 200 varieties. Good stuff. Will definitely patronise the establishment when in the vicinity again.

Try their side dishes like Beetroot & Ladyfinger as you don’t usually find them in prata stall.

They serve crispy prata. It’s different from the usual prata in most of Singapore. If you like it softer you should order the egg prata.

Wide selections of indian Muslim dishes, roti john, mee goreng, nasi briyani etc.

They sell a large variety of roti prata and other Indian fare. The pratas come with proper curries that were not watered down. Chutney and dhal that accompanied the thosai were also good and generous in portion. Prices are on the high side but reasonable for the quality. A place popular among families.

My friend recommended this place as I mentioned I was at the vicinity. I agree that the crispy prata was sensational! I requested for vegetable curry which came with some chopped onions and potatoes. I had a fried chicken which the staff nicely warmed up before serving them to me. Service was fairly quick. They will give you a buzzer which will sound to promot you to pick up your food when it’s ready. I was there on a weekday evening, it wasn’t particularly crowded but it is not empty either. The counter service staff were friendly and polite. I will certainly visit again!

The prata is marvellously crispy, though it’s pretty oily. Uniquely it tastes a little sweet. Also I didn’t expect them to fry the vadai again, so it came as a pleasant surprise.
Definitely worth the slightly higher price.

One of my favourite hangout to chill with my buddies because of the following

    1) late closing hours! On most days, it is opened till quite late, around 11pm plus! Where else could you find similar hangout beside the mac nearby

    2) spacious and many table seatings! There are seatings in the shop and they also extend the seatings to the interor of the mall! This gives an “open air” feel while enjoying aircon! Best of both world

    3) the huge variety of food such as prata, Roti John, fried rice and more. The prata is a must try! It’s crispy and fragrant. Also don’t forget to accompany it with beverages like the conventional tea tarik, milo dinosaur and etc.

Morning freshness no doubt better time to test quality…while pratas were crispy, egg version dough wasn’t stretched thin enough…caused lumpy texture. Curries were okay and the add-on veg was good…price wise @$14.00 was quite a turn-off.

We came here for lunch before hitting IKEA for a few things. It’s okay. It’s cheap and the service is decent. Taste wise, it’s not bad but I wouldn’t rank it among my favorites. You get a fair amount of food for what you’re paying. Three stars because it’s about what one would expect for a roti prata restaurant and is neither bad nor outstanding.

M-prata does a good job of being there when you need it. Been a couple of times. The curries are okay and the service as good as. But the prata and dough is rather too sweet and the tosai masala dry. And it feels like sitting in a train station. What to do?

The pratas can be considered one of the best pratas… but I think they should be more vigilant with the safe entry etc. Though there were signs to inform customers to use the main entrance in the mall, there are still customers walking through the entrance facing the main road. Very good mutton briyani, although not dam/dum briyani – unlike what staff advised before ordering. Teh halia is just nice: not too sweet, not too spicy – except that the glass mugs used are smaller than normal.

    Love it.
Asked them to make my prata crispy and it was perfect.
Their prata is a bit different. Have a bit of sweetness , close to pancake.
Asked for a refill of curry , and they were nice about it too …

Great pratas. Requested for crispy plain prata and they delivered. Fish curry was flavourful too and not salty. However I wish the roti bomb had more kaya, the kaya filling was minimal. Abit pricey for prata too but the quality is worth it. Will order again!

Delicious pratas for supper. Crispy on the outside but moist and buttery in the inside. Fish and mutton curries that served with the prata are really good too.

Morning freshness no doubt better time to test quality…while pratas were crispy, egg version dough wasn’t stretched thin enough…caused lumpy texture. Curries were okay and the add-on veg was good…price wise @$14.00 was quite a turn-off.
(P/s: eMenu didn’t show set-meal price so do ask before ordering)

Apprehensive because of the way the shop looks but I was convinced by the tarp outside from a food blogger and decided to try it out. Prices are not so bad. And some vegetarian options too. There’s a lot on the menu but I only ordered the plain prata set and it was DELICIOUS! I did make the mistake of ordering drinks lemon juice and it was super sweet. I will.come back for the prata for sure.

First time here despite living in the neighbourhood for a few years. Due to covid measures, we had to takeaway. And that probably explains the slightly soggy texture especially for the thosai. The Prata kosong however still retained some of the crispyness that was mentioned in other reviews the dough was well buttered and tasted slightly sweet which was nice imo.

Will dine in when I get the chance to try the prata/thosai again when they are freshly made!

Great Food BUT, the service is damn slow.
I’ve ever waited for a 2 pieces of prata for 15 minutes… a cup of tea for 7 minutes… and a simple plate of Briyani for 15…(all the dishes were there, they needed to just scoop it up) and all during off peak hours…
And they deleted my Facebook post for this.. would strongly only recommend going during off peak.

Was craving for prata late night and ordered a delivery with them. Had the onion prata and ice Horlick.
Maybe because the prata was freshly made and quickly packed for delivery. It was a little oily, however what I like was that it was quite crispy on the skin.
The drink is prettyy good, not diluted at all. Would definitely order again when the craving strikes.

Enjoy coming here because it’s conveniently located on the first floor, and they usually deliver the food very fast. They also have a lot of variety of prata, so you can just try a different one each time. Not to mention the briyani, and western food, and murtabak. They have prata with jam, and prata with cheese, and a bunch of other stuff. The menu is printed on the wall so it’s easy to stand by and decide what you want. Seating is limited but people usually eat fast and vacate. Good for lunch if you don’t want to queue at Ikea canteen, which is now always stuffed with people.
