“Did the Flavours of Singapore cooking class with Chef Colin for my company’s team bonding activity. It was an interactive and fun filled experience as we tried our hands at making 3 local dishes. Must try!”

Good tour, but could be so much better. We only had 3 stops in 3 hours, and only 1 drink other than water on a hot day. Lovely people good bikes, but not good enough compared to other tours of similar nature.
Tour guide was friendly, funny and shared useful information with us. It was a fun experience!
With the current situation of border closure, it gives you the opportunities to feel what it is to be able to be in the kampung environment again.
While the games that were catered make us reminisce the old childhood memories.
A great stress reliever to take you away from your daily routine lifes.
Kampung spirit is still seen strong despite having HDB flats around it; having Mr Nasim participated in his sharing on the kampung and the Makcik who gave us the ice popsicles.. it says a lot about the ‘gotong royong’ spirit. The ice popsicles symbolised a sweet ending towards the whole journey to Kg.Selak Kain.
May this Kampung will be preserved to remind us on who we were before to be at our present.
Thank you!
We had a wonderful walk with Kyanta at the last kampung. He knew much information about it. We had the chance to walk through the village and enter one house, one that was straight out from the movie set Long Long Time Ago. My kids, 7 and 4 yo, appreciated it. Thank you for the childhood games!
Good experience for the young’s
Yap and chang were amazing, great people and great laughs. Showed me around china town and it was amazing!
This tour lead by Yap has given lots of informative background about the village. We have benefited on knowing part of Singapore history that’s not learn on textbooks. He is knowledgeable and gave insights of how our country progression. Looking forward for his other island wide local tour. Keep up the good work!
Highly recommended. The best way to see the city up close. Joined the Chinatown theatrical heritage walk where our guide role play as a ma-jie from the 1950’s. There are also tours with different themes.
Went for the Water Story & Sustainability tour. Yap is an exceptional tour guide! He is very personable and animated, which helped greatly as it was an early morning tour + rainy day. It was clear that Yap is very passionate about what he does and really knows his stuff. We walked around the Marina Barrage and to some lesser known parts of Gardens by the Bay. Great tour experience!
Simon IS A SUPERSTAR!!! We had so much fun on the historical Singapore tour and we highly recommend it to everyone, whether that be families or single travellers. We hit plenty of iconic Singaporean destinations and Simon filled us in on the city’s unique history. 4 hours was utilised perfectly, this tour is 1000/100!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a new experiencing to visit the one and only kampong left in Singapore. The tour guides are very friendly and fun people. They even come out with traditional games that you can play with your friends, family or colleagues.
Overall i had a best of time there, learning about the “other” side of Singapore that you wont get to see in your daily life.
Just that the downside is that the weather was scorching hot. And well yknow, kampong got no aircon :p
Absolutely loved the 3 hour walking tour through Kampong Glam, Little India and Chinatown. Corliss was an amazing guide – friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. If you want an inside look into heritage of Singapore’s main cultural groups and their lives today, I’d highly recommend this tour. An additional benefit is that it’s a walking tour, which completely lets you soak in the local atmosphere – one that is drastically different from what I’m used to back home in Australia. However one thing to keep in mind is Singapore’s hot and humid weather – being hydrated is essential.
I sometimes wish Google could let me rate more than five stars. We went for the Lorong Buangkok tour. The tour guide, Corlis, was extremely professional. Her explanations were very entertaining and concise and the experience was very memorable. Highly recommended!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Lights Camera Action! tour from start to finish! Thanks to our engaging guide Yap who brought us through the journey of the Film and Cinema industry. We even picked up some camera techniques. The most fun part was our attempt at producing a short video with the help of our experienced guide, Yap. Highly recommend!
I did the Singapore History bike tour with Simon on Saturday. The bikes were comfortable and in good condition. The meeting point easy to find using public transport. Simon was a fun and knowledgeable guide. We were a small group of 3 riders so we got to ask lots of questions. Simon had some good recommendations for places to go for experiencing new foods which I have already tried the Satay St area which was very good. He also gave us the times for the night light shows at the Gardens and Marina Bay which we rode through on our tour. Highly reco. If you are in Singapore a few days do the bike tour first.
When for a group tour to Lorong Buang Kok Village. Mr Yap, our tour guide is very professional, told us a lot of history behind the place. He is also natural with the children. He prepared some games at the end of the tour and provided ice lolly for all of us. The residents in the village are very friendly and kind. We learned lots of new things and it was such a unique experience
Informative details of our north eastern seawaters and fish farm at a kelong.
Enjoyed the quiet serenity when the catamaran stopped for us to take in the peace & photo opportunities.
For dinner, fresh fish from the fish farm. Good value.
Let’s Go Tour Singapore’s Red Oil night tour of Chinatown is my second tour with them and it was just as memorable as the first one I attended. Dani is fun and engaging, and all the other cast/crew/guides involved were entertaining too. Going on their tours, which offer a blend of history, culture and entertainment all in one is super rewarding, especially if you’re local. Seeing Singapore in a new angle is a wonderful reminder that Singapore might be small, but it’s definitely not boring — Let’s Go Tour Singapore does this super well! If you have the means and time, sign up for their events and tours!
What a great experience this was. We did the bike tour with the guide Alfie. He made the tour a lot of fun and educational! I would recommend this to anyone if you want to explore the city in a fun way.
These guys definitely deserve their 4.9 star rating. I went their bicycle tours and they are a great way to see Singapore, especially the waterfront area. Our tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable and very funny and we all enjoyed his guidance. The paths are not very difficult and there isn’t a lot of ups and downs, so it’s pretty easy riding for the most part. Do remember to bring water and more importantly sunscreen because though you are riding around and the wind will cool you, you will still get sunburn!
Good response and pickup and drop on time polite staff
Had a fantastic time on Aminah @ Kampong Glam! The guide Dani, showed us what is true storytelling with her great knowledge and ability to convey history into stories that are so interesting. Cannot help but be drawn into the story of Aminah and her Aya (father) when she young. Awesome tour , totally worth it. Highly recommended! Thanks Dani!
Great night bicycle tour. Has a good time despite the rain with Ganesh who was very knowledgeable and showed us to the iconic Singapore night views.
Dani took us around Little India, and we had a blast trying different local delicacies as well as learning a bit of history. She is very friendly, smiley and energetic, it was fun to spend the afternoon with her. Definitely recommend.
Great thumbs up to YAP, for the amazing Kampong experience I had in the tour. YAP is not only knowledgeable, but also interactive by in bringing a city boy like me into wanting to become a Kampong boy.
Games mostly played in Kampong like five stones, zero point and marble is also introduce in the tour.
Finally, before the tour end, ice pops is given by the kind owners which make the tour perfect. Definitely a tour that I will introduce to peers and other families!
I can highly recommend this tour, the guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!
The spice tour conducted by Mr. Yap is very enriching, informative and educational. Apart from knowing and seeing various types of spices, I learned the history of ancient Singapore too. I enjoyed every moment of it. It is as if I am back to the ancient time zone when Mr. Yap talked about Singapore history. I am so glad that I signed up for this spice tour.
A well deserved tour down memory lane to the times of our ancestors. Glad to have joined the tour and to fully understand the life of kampong about Singapore’s past.
We went for the kampung tour. The tour guides, Corliss and Cheyenne were very clear in their explanation of the history of the kampung. We also got to interact with the owner of the kampung as well as one of the residents. Their guides are very experienced and able to relate to share the differences among the cultures to highlight to the children.
My whole experience has been a good one in general.
Global Tix (the platform that I bought my tickets via) did not reflect the available dates timely and accurately.
This resulted that this tour company had to contact me to inform that there was no more tour guides for my assumed confirmed date.
The tour company had been prompt with their replies, that more or less helped to make up for my negative initial experience with Global Tix problem (which is not the tour company’s problem in the first place).
The trip was nice with the friendly tour guide trying to engage both parents and kids in it.
Tour guide (Rushpal) was very knowledgeable about the place and professional.
Reassuring to see that she adhered to the needed measures such temp taking, segregation principles, kind advice/ reminders to re-apply repellent, etc.
Think me and my husband enjoyed it more than our kids.
Worthwhile to go and visit. Just make sure to bring along your repellent and sunblock for re-applications.
Great way to see a lot of the city that you would usually never see.
We had a great tour guide, Eunice, who was highly professional and energetic. Despite the rain, she kept the atmosphere positive, ensuring that all the participants had a great time. Thanks Eunice!
Kyanta is a friendly and knowledgable guide! He walked us through the Kampung and sharing the interesting stories and histories. We enjoyed the tour very much and hope to see him again~
Absolutely a must do if you are able to! The views are absolutely stunning, with gorgeous outlooks of the Flyer, Gardens, Seawall and much more. The night ride around the bay took us 15km in approximately an hour, riding through the parks and green spaces that puncture the urban jungle of Singapore. It was clear the guides cared about those on tour, with reminders to stay hydrated, the option for helmets and frequent check-ins.
Great experience with Alfie who had a wonderful grasp on local history and knowledge. You really get to see so much of Singapore and very different places with a little time to explore a couple of areas. Fun time, well paced and a lovely guide who takes great photos of your group. Would definitely recommend
Visited Qian Hu Fish Farm via guided tour with Let’s Go Tour Singapore. Tour Guide Mr Yap presentation of the history of the place is very educational, informative, interactive and interesting.
We took a Kampong tour experience with Yap. He was a treasure trove of knowledge of both local and regional history, and full of interesting stories about the Kampong. Lorong Buangkok is a Kampong that has survived against all odds, and I hope it will allowed to continue it’s peaceful existence for a long time to come. I’m grateful to the residents for allowing us to have intruded into their lives for a couple of hours this morning. A highly-recommended tour!
Good
The Bike and Bites tour I did with Alfie was one of my most favorite Singapore highlights! Rode around to many popular sites and tried food and drinks I wouldn’t normally have picked at Hawker Centers and coffee shops. Alfie taught me so much about life in Singapore and was happy to answer any questions. Loved this fun and adventurous tour!
Last kampong Tour! Yap was friendly and knowledgeable. All 3 kids like him and he teaches them 5 stones n marbles games. Kids have a chance to try the homemade Ice Popsicles. Recommended tours with Yap!
Let’s Go Tour Singapore accommodated a last minute request for a private tour for my husband and me to Kampung Lorong Buangkok. Our guide, Gerald (G) is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and made our day really fun and eventful. Totally had a blast
Update: We joined the Kampong Gelam Hall of Fame Street Art Tour over the Ramadan weekend. It was an exciting blitz through the evolution of graffiti art in the area, from the latest ones on the Hall of Fame to the early ones on the different shophouses. The most exciting part of the tour was being able to chat with one of the artists himself at his studio and delve into his inner world behind his art. Sadly, it started raining toward the end of our tour and we had to wrap things up quite abruptly. But many thanks to our warm guide Corliss and her fellow guides, who were constantly looking out for our safety and well-being, in the midst of sharing about the different art pieces with us. In the thick of the Ramadan atmosphere, it is meaningful immersing in the intersection of art and real life.

My fiance and I joined the Kampung Tour at Lorong Buangkok. We initially had a lot of trepidation about entering the village, as there used to be reports about how the residents did not like outsiders.
Our fears were allayed by our passionate guide Yap, who has a beautiful rapport with the residents and a deep intuitive knowledge of the place. I love what he said– that the tour is not a “show and tell” but a delving into cross references between the urban life we know and the authentic lives of the kampung residents. The tour has truly broken the mould in our minds of what we imagined current kampung life to be.
The highlight of our trip for me and my fiance was really being able to sit down with Mdm Sng herself– the owner of the land, and hear her sharing of her experiences in the kampung. Her warm and authentic personality dispelled any remaining reservations we had and the time we spent together gave us an immersive glimpse into the neighbourliness of kampung life, as we sat at a round table sharing stories and discussing about fruit trees.
Definitely recommend this tour to urban dwellers who are interested to know more about what life was like before the advent of the concrete jungle that takes up most of Singapore today, as well as an insightful exploration of how residents in Singapore’s last standing kampung currently live.
Had an amazing two hours around the heart of Chinatown listening to stories from the yesteryears with The Red Oil Lamp tour! The night ambience really gave a sense of intrigue to the tours as we meander through the hidden alleyways. The interactive elements of the tour really gave it a special touch. The guides were enthusiastic and really knowledgable about the local heritage. 10/10 would recommend even for locals!
Our family of 10 did the Kelong and Ubin Tour with Robin who is our captain/guide/DJ. We were quite blessed to have a beautiful breezy day that ends the boat trip with decent sunset in view. Robin is knowledgable and experienced, friendly and chilled. Gave us many insights, history and fun facts along the route for each. We seldom have chances to view Ubin from this lens, not even mentioning the few kelongs that are still around in the Singapore waters. Mixed feelings re this disappearing trade but still glad to see most who have them are having happy sufficient floating homes. Would suggest to do the late afternoon trip skipping the dinner option as tour doesn’t have enough time for a good meal. Might make more sense to chill with some snacks/drinks, fish a fish-proof snapper during the stopover at the only modern kelong restaurant. Else perhaps let captain know to shorten boat ride to compensate for a proper meal.
Thanks Alfie, great 1920s tour. 12/10/19
Booked the Kampong Buangkok tour for my grandma’s birthday. Tour guide Colin was punctual, super friendly, and very knowledgeable. He kindly spoke in both English and Mandarin throughout the tour to cater to the people in our group. It was a really informative tour and really eye-opening to see an actual kampong in Singapore and get a taste of kampong life, it was surely nostalgic for the older folks. We got to sit down and have a chat with Mdm Sng (the landlady) as well — which was very lovely. It made for a wonderful morning, highly recommend!
The team at Let’s Go Tour organised an amazingly fun Chinese Junk Tour for our company team bonding event . We even had barbecue on board and a nice guided tour of Lazarus Island ! Thank you for a beautiful and wonderful time!
Really enjoyed myself during the Kampong tour today! Very thankful for Kyanta & how engaging and knowledgeable he was, and also to have a chance to have a conversation with Mdm Sng (the landlord of this last Kampong in Singapore), who was more than willing to share her time & stories. It was a really unique experience to take in the Kampong spirit & play old-school games like 5 stones and pick up sticks in this setting (:
Went for the kelong tour with Robin. Despite rain soaked day we had a really good time. Robin was a great host n able to point out points of interest and tell many stories. Nice seeing a side of Singapore that honestly we would never have seen if not for the covid restrictions keeping us at home!
The trip to Kampong Lorong Buangkok was an eye opening experience. It allowed us and especially the children to have a feel of what the kampung looks like and its simple life, Gerald ,our guide for the day is very friendly and knowledgeable . He engaged the kids with the games activities and answers to their questions! Thank you for the wonderful tour ! We enjoyed ourselves !
Excellent visit of the last Kampong. Our guide Yap was punctual, very friendly and a source of information and historical details on Singapore. He was also very patient with the kids who enjoyed exploring and playing typical local games with him!
Had a great experience with Gerry during our visit to Kampong Lorong Buangkok. The booking process was smooth, the communication was perfect and we enjoyed Gerry’s knowledge and friendliness while visiting the last kampong in Singapore. Definitely recommend!
The tour has exceeded my expectations. It was a very informative and enjoyable tour. it brought back those memories I had when I was a child. I could show my son the real environment which I grew up in. He could experience the path, see the many plants and fruit trees, the wooden houses, the “open” wires and tv antenna…
There was games that the group could play with like five stones, zero point and the go li (marbles). The group came “alive” when we played zero point and marbles.
Me and my son had enjoyed ourselves and credits also goes to the owner for her insistence to preserve the place.
Yap, the tour guide has also shared lots of information about the Kampung and the plants/trees that can be found in there. 5 stars for him!
Highly recommended to all.
Really enjoyed well, and our guide Weng is a very nice and humble person. It is about 15 Kms in 2 and a 1/2 hrs. Good explanation by the guide and very friendly, special thanks for the photography
Was good to see parts of Singapore we didn’t know of, or thought of visiting. We did the kampong and water tour which were both insightful and meaningful. Great knowledge for both kids and adults! Tour guides Yap and Robin were extremely helpful too. Don’t be shy to approach them for photo taking too. They take great pictures!
interesting place for cooking class.
Great kelong tour with Robin. He was friendly and professional throughout. The boat was immaculate and the ride was very comfortable. Robin has a lot of experience being a tour guide and a lot of great stories to tell. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to do something different and feel like they’re not quite in Singapore!
Amazing tour company. I had such a great day cycling around Singapore. Thank you!
Such a great tour. A lovely mix of history and local geography. Great plant knowledge. Tour guide was well known and liked by the locals which made for a really immersive experience. Loved the childhood games at the end! Thanks Yap. What a brilliant morning!
Wonderful kampong trip! Very informative and interactive. We were most fortunate to chat with some of the residents and hear them share some of their experiences.
We were treated to home made ice popsicles which we all loved (especially the kids).
Yesteryear games like five stones, zero point and pick up sticks has the attention of the kids (enjoying the fun) and the parent (reminiscing the fun)…
This trip has been very fulfilling and we look forward to more trips with Let’s Go Tour!
Great tour!
The tour to Kampong Lorong Buangkok was a real eye opener for the whole family. It was thoroughly enjoyable too. Rachpal was a great guide and provided interesting information about the place. In addition, the service by Let’s Go Tour Singapore was friendly and efficient.
Excellent tour with Cheyenne to the Last Kampong. A respectful visit to a unique place.
This was an excellent tour. I only had one day to explore Singapore before flying out and this was the best way to cover a lot of places. Alfie the tour guide was very nice and answered all the questions we had about the way of life in Singapore.
Yap was very knowledgeable and have a close bond with the residents. Nice to feel that his presence, and ours alongside with him, were welcomed in the kampong.
We had the most amazing tour with Yap from Let’s Go Tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a very in depth tour of Kampong Lorong Buankok which we have been wanting to do for ages. The tour was great value, very well organised, they communicated well with us beforehand, and on the day Yap was super friendly and helpful. He really knows his stuff – not just about the kampong but about a wide variety of things that we ended up talking to him about. I would recommend Let’s Go Tour, Yap and the Kampong Tour in a heartbeat!
I had a great time travelling back to my childhood kampong days. Very nostalgic! Thanks to Yap our guide, very patient and informative! Thumbs up!
Amazing! A must do in Singapore if you are into outdoor tours. The historical tour explains Singapore very nicely!
The Red Oil Lamp tour was quite a revolutionary experience. The theatrical style really kept the tour engaging and alive. Passers-by would stop to listen in and see what is going on. Above all, the information about Chinatown in the 1950s was also very interesting. It revealed parts of my own Chinese heritage that I was not even aware of.
Excellent service with detailed explanation during the tour
This is a great way to see Singapore and experience great food
My husband and I „just dropped in“ and they were able to accommodate us with a tour starting within the next hour.
We went on a city food tour and we both really liked it. We were able to ask questions and our guide was able to answer them. He was friendly and helpful and while he did look st his watch he didn’t rush us. We were all able to keep up.
The staff was really helpful by giving us tips and fold us discount tickets to a few sights.
They also are 2 minutes away from a really great local food / lunch market.
Very good! Took a lot of pictures
非常好! 拍了很多照片
We went for the new Domestic Tourism Tour and I am glad we did as it became one of the most memorable days with my family. The kids themselves had a great time and even picked up interest. All thanks to the guide Yap, who was both a good companion and teacher. We had a great time together as a family and would definitely return for the other tours, thanks!
Very interesting and funny trip around Singapore …
Went on a local tour to Kampong Buangkok recently and the family was very entertained by the guide indeed, with his sharing of interesting facts about the last kampong in Singapore. Recommended for families for sure!
Ever noticed that there are Chinese praying outside the Sri Krishnan Temple (at Si Ma Lu) and wonder how this practice started? This was one of the interesting nuggets that we learnt during the tour with Yap. The tour was an enriching and interactive one where we had a fun time learning more about Singapore by understanding how our way of living has evolved through places, architecture and food. Thanks to Yap, we become more curious about our home and today we learnt a little more than before!
Just went on a great heritage tour of the Lorong Buangkok Kampong with Yap at Let’s Go Tours. It was a great insight into how Singaporean housing used to be constructed, and we also got to see some beautiful plants.
Highly recommended
Fabulous food tour with Yap and so much more than “just” a food tour. He gave us the history behind the dishes, took us to all manner of places including a historic coffee shop, a cake shop, a hawker stall area and so on. He also told us loads about the history of Singapore and plenty of hints and tips for the rest of my trip. So, from one foodie to another, thanks Yap. I really look forward to another tour next time I’m in Singapore.
I truly enjoyed the “Kampong Experience” tour with our engaging guide, who also turned out very knowledgeable about wider Singapore history and made our trip a very worthwhile visit!
Enjoyed this 2 hr Buangkok Kampong tour with Mr Yap as our guide. It is a great getaway from the routines of busy city life to nature with fruit trees, plants and fresh air. We travelled back in time with the guide as he explained the interesting history and story of this last kampong in SG.
Yap, my tour guide was really friendly and outgoing and he was able to explained every question the group had!!
Gerald was professional and patient in spite of the challenging audience that he had. The kids had fun playing traditional games, and identifying fruit trees. It was fun and a rare glimpse into Kampung life chatting with the Village Head herself! Many a time, the boundaries between the Kampung and modernity was simply a concrete wall or space between plants growing wild and a HDB multi-storey carpark.
Kudos to our guide, Yap, for the insightful tour on our very last kampung! Truly a great experience …
Had a very good bike tour today with guide Simon . Very informative , good bikes and the best way to see Singapore .
Highly recommended !
Ganesh is a national treasure who must be protected at all costs.
What an amazing time we had, thanks to the team at Let’sGoTourSingapore! We had a really short time to plan while here in Singapore so were grateful to Zenna for returning our call and arranging a conversation with the tour co-ordinator who understood completely what our needs were! Thanks to Yap for putting together the itinerary for a wonderful round the island tour of Singapore! What an engaging guide, the commentary with incredible information about the old and new on the island was extremely interesting!
Thank you to Corliss for engaging with the party in the other vehicle, and not forgetting the drivers too!
We were a party of twelve, three generations, including 94 and 97 year old grandparents who are wheelchair bound. Special vehicles were organised, arriving perfectly on time and the fact that grandma was awake for the whole 7 hours is testament to how exciting the tour was, lots to see and take in!
Highly Recommended, thank you team Let’sGoTourSingapore!!!
Went for the boat trip with Robin. My family enjoyed themselves tremendously and even though we opted not to dine at the kelong restaurant, there was still much to do there while waiting for the others to finish their meal. It’s only a 30 to 45 minute wait, so don’t worry too much about it.
The running commentary by Robin while on the boat was interesting and informative. The shared insights led to a better understanding of the kelong community and what they are trying to achieve in these modern times.
Its amazing!!!
Went for the Kelong Tour by Robin and it was a great and unique experience exploring Northeast of Singapore including Pulau Ubin! Robin was knowledgeable and insightful, sharing about the islands, landmarks, kelongs and many other interesting facts that are eye-opening. Not only do you get to enjoy the sea breeze (esp when the boat is going fast), you get to chill at the floating restaurant with a mini-tour at the kelong at the back (though you can’t go in, can only view from the restaurant). You get to buy drinks and relax at the floating restaurant ($6 for coconut drink). And of course, we get to see the kelongs from the boat and even slum houses! Highly recommended and an experience not to be missed!
The trip start at SAF Yacht Club at Sembawang (take note that its 15mins walk in from the bus stop so plan your time!)
What a wonderful tour! We made a reservation for the Singapore: Chinatown & Little India Guided Walking Tour. As a hub for so many cultures, we were really interested in learning more about Singapore’s history. Our tour guide Yap is a Singaporean local whom throughout the experience was so polite, friendly, and answered all of our questions. He provided us with a thorough background of Singapore’s cultural districts and even showed us photographs and maps to compare how it looked back then versus now. We were able to walk through each of these districts, admire and learn about many landmarks, fun stories, and also got to see smaller, more local areas as well. We were certainly able to walk away from the tour feeling more knowledgeable about Singapore’s fascinating history.
I would say the only hiccup was because it was our first time in Singapore, we had a lot of trouble finding the meeting point. Entering the address into Google Maps led us into a mall, and the little screenshot of a map provided with the ticket was also apparently not precise enough for us bumbling non-locals haha. This problem was also further compounded by the fact that our phone for some reason wasn’t receiving service at the time, which was not at all the tour company’s fault of course. A possible recommendation would be to include more directions about how to reach the meeting point. We were very lucky and grateful that Yap was able to find us despite our phone not working!
Overall I would highly recommend the experience if you get the chance. There’s so much you get to learn during the tour that you might not otherwise, and if learning about a country’s cultural background is your thing, definitely check this out. It was three hours well spent!
I participated in Chinatown Alive: Red oil lamp night tour. It was a very interesting experience and I enjoyed it. I’m impressed by their creativity.
You will find their team vibes is very good. They put a lot effort become actor and actress to make the character alive.
Although it was rainy that night, it did not affect everyone’s mood. Highly recommended and well done let’s go tour Singapore.
Did a tour of the last remaining kampong (traditional village) in Singapore lead by Yap, and had a great time. He was really friendly and knowledgeable and it was fascinating to hear how the kampong has survived when all of the others have disappeared. Would highly recommend.
GREAT tour with them, if you haven’t had one with them, join them and invite your friends too and tell them, Let’s Go Tour!
Informative and very pleasant guy who gave interesting insights into Singapore. Good bikes, lots of stops so no problem to a pair of 60+ one of whom had a new knee a few years ago. Enjoyed it very much.
The Chinatown tour was great fun. Engaging storytelling in character by the guide, learnt many new things about Chinatown I never knew despite growing up in Singapore. Recommended!
We signed up for the Spice Tour. It was very educational and informative. The tour also provided a refreshing insight into the history of Singapore. Appreciate the stories.
I had an opportunity to attend the water story tour at marina barrage and GBTB, it was eye-opening, the tour guide, Yap was really friendly and knowledgable.
theres always so much to learn, I feel inspired to know more about my home country!
Corliss is an excellent guide- very patient and clear in her explanations and we learnt so much about kampong lor Buangkok in the short 2h tour. Will highly recommend this for all families.
Let’s Go Tours offers a wide range of tours that meet the needs of old and young, and for those new to Singapore and who have lived here for a long time. The guides are friendly, knowledge, and accommodating. Thanks for all you do!
Went on a tour this past weekend with my nephews on their new “Post a statue very nice” tour.
Wanted to try something new and fresh for a change rather than bringing them to the usual attractions or arcade to play, I felt that getting them to learn more about Singapore’s history in an ‘out of classroom’ experience will make for a memorable and purposeful weekend.
On the tour, I felt that the guide Yap was very engaging and communicated well with the kids to really get them to participate in the roleplay and games, but it wasn’t just the kids that were having fun, I find myself playing along and it just make for such a wonderful family bonding session together.
I will highly recommend this activity for families to sign up for their tours as they are very educational, as they go beyond what the social studies textbooks teaches and really go in-dept into more of Singapore’s obscure history such as the Dutch and British war, which even I didn’t know about!
Attended thai cooking tour. chef was knowledgeable and accomodating. highly recommend
Yap was such a fantastic tour guide. We learned so much and had a great time too. You could really tell he was passionate about the history of Singapore and the region. Highly recommend
Was wonderful experience, Mr Ganesh was very professional
Two fantastic but totally different tours in two days. Simon and Ganesh were very informative and friendly. A great way to learn about Singapore. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed the Waterloo Art Walk by LetsGoTour yesterday. It was an interactive heritage walk (2-hr) with a theme. Our guy was very knowledgeable, articulate & engaging. Recommend this tour to Singaporeans who enjoy a piece of our very own heritage & history.
This was a fantastic tour for the family. Fun, educational and relaxed. Very special because we got to go into some houses and even met some residents. Highly recommend it.
Best historical tour..by bike.Thanks
Great service!
My daughter and I had a great time and the historical tour was entertaining and enlightening. Yap is very knowledgeable and full of interesting nuggets of info. We had a great time!
What a great experience! Our guide, Yap, was really great in sharing his knowledge through the tour that we would not have known if not for joining a tour. Despite attending this tour as a local, I was still able to learn and takeaway valuable insights and enjoyed myself during the tour. Highly recommended if you want to learn more in-depth knowledge about Singapore
Joined the Kelong boat tour hosted by Robin. It was a wonderful trip to discover the northeastern banks of Singapore and a experience life on a floating fish farm.
I was also very impressed with Robin’s friendliness and knowledge in various aspects on the surrounding islands while on the sea.
Robin has made this Kelong boat tour such a fantastic experience and I would recommend everyone to join this tour as a fun outing to relax over the weekends!
I have learnt a lot from the tour and I am very grateful to the tour guide for the experience.
The tour is educational for both adults and children. Well delivered and enjoyable.
Great excursion. Easy route. Enjoyed it a lot. Would do again.
Never did I expect a simple Chinatown Night Tour – The Red Oil Lamp turned out to be so interesting and interactive. You will noticed how much hard work the tour guide and the actors/actresses had put in to make the tour so lively. History came alive. Most interesting was the end part about 打小人. Highly recommended. Well done Let’s Go Tour Singapore!
It was an amazing experience! For someone to keep her character play throughout the tour is a skill! Came all prepared with props. Overall its worth your time and money. )
Enjoyed the tour given by Kyanta. He knows the community at the kampong so we managed to talk to residents and visit their homes. He also brought many fun facts and knowledge to the tour, as well as introduced games played in the kampong. My girls thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommended
I recommend others to sign up with Let’s Go Tour Singapore.
For Qian Hu Farm tour, the tour guide conducted it in a manner that feels very value-added and gave insightful knowledge about Singapore’s sustainability (30 by 30 goal), and how farming landscape is changing in Singapore. Also, he shared other knowledge and fun facts about the region.
For Half-Day Farm Tour, our tour was very smooth going despite encountering unfortunate situation.
Walkthrough of a part of Singapore caught in a time warp. A leisurely ramble through a bygone era – of zinc roofs, wooden walls, spacious backyards, fruit & veg gardens. We had time to play traditional games (e.g. 5 stones and pick-up sticks) and sample traditional desserts (gem biscuits and ais potong). All in all, an educational and enjoyable family outing.
the kampong experience tour was so much more fun than i was expecting! mr yap (the tour guide) was very knowledgeable and interacted with us and made the learning experience even better. the rapport he built with the residents of the kampong helped us get to see more of the place and learn many new things. highly recommend to go with your family or your friends to take very nice pictures and explore a unique and beautiful environment 10/10 experience!!!
Great tour! The Kampong was really fun to explore… rich in history and lots of interesting plants. Our guide, Kyanta Yap was very professional and knowledgeable. He catered to our interests and kept it very engaging for my 10 year old. Highly recommend the experience, particularly since the Kampong is on private land and we would not have been able to access such a meaningful experience there otherwise.
Thanks for the hospitality! I have to say I am very , very impressed by Yap (our tour guide). Not only is he knowledgeable about everything, but he is so friendly that it was so enjoyable talking to him. The tour was well-planned and we totally love the visit as it is a literal transportation back in time. In addition, I have learned so much about the culture and new lessons that are out of the textbooks.
I would like to give 2 thumbs up to Yap for his excellent service and I’ll definitely recommend everyone!! Well done and I look forward to touring Singapore again! (Even though Singapore is my own country but I love every moment of it)
The guide we had, Rachpal was great! We were struggling with our whining kids at the Kampong tour. But she took the initiative to cheer them up, came up with fun topics & games and we ended with smiley kids.
Our family went on the theatrical tour of Chinatown with tour guide Dani and enjoyed ourselves. This was our first time joining in a local tour and we were really impressed by how creative our local tour guides are! Loving how they’ve spun a story out of the places we were visiting, giving us a glimpse of Singapore’s past and bringing to life characters from those era. We are already making plans to join in their next tour!
We went on a Journey in Time with “Ah Cai” on this more than 40 years old Chinese boat. Pretty interesting and Ah Cai was very profession in telling his stories with gusto and playing the part, even though he probably has been doing this umpteen times. We had very good weather and managed to make a landing on Lazarus Island where I even got to take pictures of a Malaysian pied-fantail dancing in the bushes. Overall, my companions and I enjoyed this trip very much. Highly recommended.
Guide, Steven, made the Chek Jawa Boardwalk tour we had enjoyable and informative. On our own, we wouldn’t be sensitise to the sounds of cicadas, hornbills and woodpeckers nor be aware of mud crabs and fiddler crabs in the mangrove habitat. Steven’s knowledge enthralled both adults and children in the group. Thank you Steven and Let’s Go Tour!
We had a wonderful time with the Kampong Experience tour! Our guide Yap was so informative and explained everything in an interesting and fun way. We loved being able to understand the history behind the kampong. It was also very fun playing the old childhood games! Such a great tour!
Tour Manager Yap provided excellent service for my family’s tour of Qian Hu Fish Farm. Friendly and versatile, he catered to my family’s diverse needs given we had old folks and a young kid in the group. He was knowledgeable and definitely value added to our experience. Highly recommended!
Great tour! From the beautiful parks to the traditional street markets, this was a lovely way to discover a wide and diverse range of beautiful areas of Singapore
Very interesting tour to sightsee Singapore in a different way.
A great experience (Kampong tour). Eunice was a fantastic guide who’s truly passionate in sharing the stories of the last standing Kampong in Singapore. She was also really good at engaging my 5-year old. An informative, well-paced and experiential tour overall. It was my wife’s birthday and they even organised a surprise cake for her during the tour. They really went the extra mile on all fronts, from providing all the information you’ll need before the tour to following up for feedback after the tour. Highly recommended.
The child saw different fruit trees
Wooden houses and zinc roof.
And learned about the resettlement history.
Great night tour. Good guide. Great bikes.
Gerald was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area we visited. He even brought with him toys and other items which we used to play as children many years ago! Made us nostalgic indeed! Very fun morning out!
Did the Flavours of Singapore cooking class with Chef Colin for my company’s team bonding activity. It was an interactive and fun filled experience as we tried our hands at making 3 local dishes. Must try!
Ganesh was the best tour guide. We did the 4 hour historical bike tour around Singapore. He was very knowledgeable about Singapore’s history and the food culture. He went above and beyond our expectations and also gave us lots of recommendations on things to do after our bike tour. I highly recommend Let Go Bike Singapore and most importantly, Ganesh, the best tour guide!!
Had so much fun with Tour Guide Nur and the rest of the cast of The Red Oil Lamp: Chinatown Stories Alive! Tour. The tour was engaging and interactive. Great for a family activity together as well. Good job guys!
Is a great tour for those who never been to SG before, the tour guide Corliss is amazing, sharing with us all the local places and culture about food and history. Thank you!
Dani took us around Little India, and we had a blast trying different local delicacies as well as learning a bit of history. She is very friendly, smiley and energetic, it was fun to spend the afternoon with her. Definitely recommend.
My 9yo went on a school field trip to Kampong Buangkok in July & came home telling us we MUST go too. So I booked this tour. We enjoyed the tour not bcos it was an ‘eye-opener’, rather the history relayed thru our guide, Corliss, was enlightening especially about the unity of the families regardless of race during the 1960s racial clash. Moreover, we had the chance to meet Mdm Sng, one of the daughters of the Kampong owner. ️
We wish to thank all the cast (Nur, Colin, Corliss & Yap, Let’s Go Tour Singapore) of Red Oil Lamp: Chinatown Stories Alive for their wonderful performance and great story telling of tales of Kreta Ayer’s (Chinatown) through their theatrical tour this evening. An interesting way to tell the tales of the past – very unique, highly entertaining and interactive. It was a wonderful experience and we had a great time! AWESOME! We would highly recommend this tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️
Our guide, Yap, was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories with us. We enjoyed the tour very much.
Great tour of the Kampung. Yap, our guide was extremely informative and engaging. He made it fun and interesting for both adults and children. A must-do if you want an up close experience of this last remaining kampung in SG.
Spent a wonderful morning enriched by Yap’s insights on the heritage of Lorong Buangkok. The whole family was enthralled by how he brought history to life and entertained by the many old-school games that we re discovered. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for a nostalgic yet living perspective of Singapore!
We booked the Kampong Experience with Yap! It was an amazing tour filled with interesting stories of Singapore’s history. We had so much fun and learned a lot from the tour! Yap was a great tour guide as well, very knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions! I highly recommend this tour
A fantastic way to get to know Singapore, especially recommended on the first day, to get an overview. Very easy to carry. A complete success!
Una forma fantástica de conocer Singapur, especialmente recomendable el primer día, para tener una visión general. Muy fácil de llevar. Un acierto total!
Attended the Singapore Water Story and Sustainability Tour with Yap. It was an eye-opening and informative tour which showcased a different side of Singapore. Yap was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable!
Great tour service by our guide, Colin! Wonderful tour experience, patient and personalized. Looking forward for the next trip!
Yao, our tour guide for Kampung Buangkok shared a lot of Singapore history to us. He is very attentive and a fun guide. Highly recommended tour!
Went for the theatrical tour. Definitely the most novel tour I’ve been on that introduces new elements to touring so that it can be fun and interesting. Something to try!
Fantastic cycling tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of showing us around, including showing us some of the best places to get a bite to eat. Highly recommended.
Bike & Bites w/ Genash – Great experience and got to see a lot of places we would never have found on our own and learnt a lot.
Excellent cycle tour of Singapore. Simon was a great guide.
I have enjoyed my time in this tour of the Kampong Lorong Buangkok. Very educational as I learnt alot about the history and culture of the village and the villagers. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the place and he knows all the residents living there. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone I know, whether they are Singaporeans or not. Thank you!
Wow, are all of you MediaCorp trained ? Great display of talents and excellent way of telling stories
Stay safe & happy guiding …
Wadi did a fantastic job. Very informative, entertaining and personal. Stopping for coffee and a local snack was a really nice touch. Would highly recommend.
Yap was an amazing guide! He was fun, insightful and entertaining and if you are looking to visit Kampong Lorong Buangkok, we would highly recommend booking a tour with him. He was thoughtful of his audience and the villagers and shared the perfect amount of information keeping you captivated but not overwhelmed. You will definitely walk away having learned lots of new facts.
Good guides, decent bikes, two way communicators were a useful, but slightly flawed, idea.
Took a morning SG history tour are it was truly worth it
Tour guide took us through the tour talking about historical events, culture, food and people.
Food tasting was nice, I ended up having bread with coconut jam for breakfast during next couple days
It was nice tour and recommended.. our tour guide, mr Ganesh also was friendly and nice person
Guide Corliss was knowledgeable and cheerful. My group of kids enjoyed themselves. Social studies come alive!
Weather was a bit hot and the area for free exploration was limited due to private housing …
Fantastic experience with Yap who was knowledgeable, patient and super friendly. Really enjoyed our time with him and appreciate the opportunity to speak to the residents and Mdm Sng! Cannot recommend this enough!
The Colonisation tour and the Kampong experience tours were both excellent tours for understanding Singapore’s complex history. Our tour guides Yap and Corliss were both very knowledgeable AND enthusiastic as our guides. They both very much love this country and that presents itself within all the neat details along the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone new to the country or just looking for good, concise information about Singapore.
Tour provided an insights of what Singapore looks and gone through during the 1940s to 1980s bringing the group from the textbook to reality.
This is the best bike tour in Singapore, the 1920’s tour is really entertaining and the guide was an ace! Can’t think about a better bike tour that I have done before…
Great sunset dinner experience! Good food and an awesome Tour host Simon.
Great experience at the last kampung tour with Issac as our guide who was affable and passionate about his job! Will definitely recommend him to anyone who is keen on this tour
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A great way to get a feel of Singapore with friendly and knowledgable guide – bring your friends!
I attended the Colonisation tour at the Singapore River. Great refresher on Singapore’s early history and the pace was just nice. My 9 yo daughter found it a little too difficult to follow but nonetheless it was still educational and an interesting afternoon out! I would recommend this.
Excellent!
