Just had slow cooked lamb shoulder, so tender and juicy, taste enhanced by the red wine sauce.

Pasta and pizza are delicious. My favorite is the squid ink pasta.

Located in Teacher’s Estate in Sembawang along a row of shop houses. You probably wouldn’t think of looking for a restaurant in such an obscure location. But for those who are adventurous enough, you’ll be rewarded with home cooked style of Italian cuisine in a rather simple restaurant setting. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food is not bad as well, although the pasta I had was a tad too salty for my liking. Price isn’t as much as a downtown restaurant, but given the location, could have been more affordable to attract customers from revisiting.

Well when a pizza is not made American style, the one that popularized pizza around the world the first place, and sold in Italian restaurants with Italian names and one cook, people tend to hype it up as ‘authentic’ Italian and ready to pay premium . Authentic or not, it depends on the person’s personal tastes. What they sell here is Americanised authentic Italian pizza With a good dose of Cheese and all.

We ventured out to the Teachers’ Estate near the Nature Park on a rainy evening and decided on La Pizzaiola. It was delightful to be greeted at the door by Laura and Alex, such great hospitality for an eatery off the beaten tracks.

For our dinner, we started with a lovely Bacon Truffle pizza, a Verdure pizza followed by the Roast Chicken. We ended our meal with the signature Tiramisu and coffee.

The food was simply delicious and the service was impeccable. Special thanks to Laura, Alex and Marcus for making our evening out an enjoyable one.

Nice fusion Italian food joint. Not really accessable to those without transport as tucked inside a private housing estate. Faces a small public park so can enjoy some quite space. Food wise besides the usual pizza, pastas, they also serve good western dishes. We had fidh of the day whuch was fresh snd excellent. Can’t say thd same for the Rib-eye Arrosto which was nothing special. Expecting better pizzas but the Bacon Truffle Pizza was a dissappointment. The Fettuccine alla Carbonara was good. Overall dining atmosphere was good wigh a full size window viewing the kitchen. There is a fresh bread bakery at thr far end where you csn but freshly baked bread

An incredibly out-of-the-way place that I never would have known about if not for a friend’s recommendation, but they serve really decent thin crust pizzas. My favorites are the Carnivora and Quattro Stagioni. Definitely worth going to if you live / happen to be around the area.

Online reviews raved about the truffle pumpkin soup, squid ink pasta and quattro formaggi. I brought a friend down and we were both excited. The walk in, the ambience, the service was lovely. We were both very pleased, until we tried the food. The pizza was cheesy and rich.

But the pumpkin soup – way too hot, too watered down, and too much truffle oil that overpowers the soup. For $9.90, I think they can afford to put more pumpkin in. The pasta wasn’t picking up the flavour of the broth, perhaps it was pre-cooked or the sauce was too little but it was a shame. Complimentary herbal teas were served after the meal which was great. But I really came for the food…not anymore I guess.

Quite a nice quiet location within the Teachers estate. Overall, quite ok but not without a few complaints.

Service was nice and friendly, however we were quite shocked when one of the staff after clearing the plates put our used cutleries on the table.

The mussel starter has abit of a fishy taste which meant that it wasn’t very fresh. And the quantity was quite little for the price. However, the mains were good- enjoyed the pizza and truffle ravioli. Had the lava cake for dessert and it was enjoyable as well.

Take note that they charge $1 per pax for water which I absolutely cannot comprehend and frankly unnecessary especially when we ordered wine.

Tried some pasta and pizza at #lapizzaiola

Ambience was great. Maybe due to not many people there then can really focus on the food and the location. Not easy to get there as it’s quite among the estate among so go to walk or drive then better.
They have arts on the wall too like from all over here and there.
A see thru kitchen so able to see the professional at work as well.

    La pizzaiola speciale
Pizza was fantastic got to try this one. The bread of the pizza base was delicious. Did I mention a big pizza oven

    The pasta had 3 kinds.

One was the Parma carbonara with sun dried tomatoes. So the tomatoes gave that a hint of sweetness to the whole dish and the depth of flavour provide by the Parma ham was delicious salty. With the cream base to tone it down and bring it all together. Delicious.

Then have the seafood which was the squid I and crab meat well this one the flavours was not that strong and not enough sauce so neh.

Then the last was another carbonara that one what creamy but not over the top so over all was great.

There serves like wine and stuff as well. Me not a wine person so I don’t drink but there was a lot of wine selections.
Overall great place for those pasta lovers able to try and test out pasta

First time visit to the outlet along Teacher’s estate.
It was quite packed with diners on a Friday evening. Not the best environment for a quiet date night.
My husband and I shared a couple of dishes like the burrata set (with cherry tomatoes and parma ham) alongside with a pizza on specials and the toasted pita-like garlic bread.

Burrata was decent but nothing mind-blowing or maybe I was expecting a creamier texture. My husband was ok with the pizza but I found the tomato base/paste tasted too raw or acidic. Toasted bread kind of overcooked. It was hard and dry.

Service staff was great though. They were helpful and patient.

I had high expectations of the food there due to the positive Google reviews but wasn’t blown away. Sadly I didn’t think the price-quality match up. Probably won’t return.

Lovely gem nested in the Teachers’ Estate. Service is great. Staff are well-mannered.

Came for the pizzas but was wowed by the sautéed mussels; they melded well with the garlicky sauce with the tomatoes adding a slight tangy punch.

Decent carbonara, albeit unable to omit the cream, could do with a better cheese.

This place used to be my go to restaurant for Pizza and Pasta.
The pizzas and pasta are decent, and service staff are lovely.
While we all understand the ever increasing cost of food, manpower etc, the prices they charged here no longer allow me to eat/ takeout as frequently.
A regular pizza here cost more than $30 after tax and service charge. And recently water is being charged at $1 per person.
Running a business is not easy but business owner must be mindful that frequent hikes to your food prices will drive some of your regular customers away.

2nd visit and pizza still superb!
Fired in a kiln with thin crust, the pizzas are flavourful and crispy. However, this also contributes to a longer waiting time.
Mushroom soup was rich and great as well.

Recommend their Carnivora and house speciale for first timers who like beef.

Warning: Remote area not very near public transport options. Also, expect waiting time for your pizzas due to the queue for firing in the kiln, get some appetizers!

    $15-20/pax for simple meals

Highly recommend this place for authentic pizzas and pastas.

Was very pleased with the customer service at the Kalidasa outlet. We called ahead to place an order for takeaway and was advised of the wait time (fairly short) and received a text to advise the order was ready for pick up 20 mins later. Was greeted by friendly staff at the outlet which made the experience seamless and memorable.

Pizza toppings were fresh & generous and the pizza had just the right amount of thickness. (I’m a thin crust lover). It had just the right amount of seasoning.

For dessert, I ordered the pannacotta. It was delectable!

Coming from a city with plenty of Italian cuisines, the pizzas here give you nostalgic feeling when you’re feeling homesick. You guys have made my day.

    Will be returning again soon!

Located in an unbelievably secluded place, you wouldn’t expect the restaurant to be filled with people – but that’s exactly what you should expect when patronising this place.

When entering the restaurant, you’ll first be greeted by a strong whiff of truffle, cheese, herbs; basically a concoction of greatness.

Service was excellent, and you shouldn’t have to wait too long before the arrival of your food.

The wife and one other friend ordered a total of 2 pizzas and an appetiser, which are all unbelievably great, unlike any other pizzas I’ve tried elsewhere (though admittedly, I’m comparing it to the likes of Pizza Hut and Domino’s).

While we didn’t try any of the pastas, the experience we had over there guarantees that we’ll be back for whatever else they have on the menu.

Found this hidden gem and I am so happy I found it. Service is great and food is delicious – I would highly recommend. The ambience is homely and the vibes transport me back to Italy. Pizzas are done by a wood fire oven, tastes very authentic.

Was recommended the La Pizzaiola roast beef pizza special and squid ink pasta (but I requested for an Aglio Olio which Alex kindly obliged). Will be back to try to squid ink pasta and the ribeye (saw many ordering it).

A must order is the melting chocolate lava cake $10.90. BEST LAVA CAKE I have had. Looks simple but tastes absolutely heaven.

Pricing is reasonable with pastas averaging around $20+, pizzas from $18-25. Mains around $30. Bill for 2 came up to $70 – Pumpkin soup $9.90, aglio olio $13.90, pizza $24.90, melting cake $10.90.

Good Italian food at affordable prices. We had the squid ink pasta with crab meat, the truffle cream ravioli, a margarita pizza, burata cheese with tomatoes and rocket, slow cooked eggplant with cheese and the roasted chicken. Four of us were sharing.

Everything was delicious. Chicken was a little dry. Service was fantastic as usual. One the nicer restaurants in the Tagore area.

Having read a few of the reviews here, I guess some people are pretty hard to please. We went for an early dinner & experienced very attentive service & superb food for the money. The carnivore pizza & the ruccola parma were some of the best pizzas I’ve tasted. The spaghetti bolognaise (always judge a restaurant on the simple stuff) was hearty and very tasty indeed. Desserts all sang a similar tune. The fact that their house white was as affordable as it was drinkable was a great bonus! We will definitely be going back!

Parking is easy. The place is often crowded. The food is tasty, portion decent but not cheap. 2 pasta, 1 pizza, 2 dessert cost about SGD123. Nice that they serve drinking water for free. First you have to consider parking space (parallel parking) with only the stretch in front of shop. You may park on the outer road with the yellow line, not sure if you will be lucky. The I love their warm service. Staff are really helpful and friendly! The food is quite good! Love the pizza but not a fan of their lasagne. Lamb shank was OK. Whole roast spring chicken sufficiently marinated to my liking. Love their creme brulee and lava cake! . They do serve water! That’s great.

Down to earth Italian restaurant serving great pizzas and pastas at reasonable prices (for Singapore). A big positive is that their pizzas are made from organic flour! Unpretentious but cozy setting in a neighborhood estate – not the easiest to get to unless you drive, and even then roads are narrow so parking may be difficult. Great for a chilled out night away from the crowds.

Order the fish of the day, sea bass in tomato sauce. The fish is very fishy and not fresh. The prawns are miserably small for a $40++ main course. Located at a remote place like a hidden gem. Simple Italian food serving typical pizza, spaghetti and limited main courses like beef and fish. Came here for lunch and ordered the home made squid ink tagliolini with crab meat and white wine sauce. However, I didn’t see the squid ink in black but I do change to fettuccine instead. The seafood pasta in tomato sauce are as tasty. The mushroom soup was nice as you can really eat the mushroom then typical mashed mushroom to cook the soup. Ambience is casual but rather warm during lunch probably trying to save the electricity. Parking is limited as it located at the one way street and in the housing estate.

Surprised to find an Italian restaurant in this quiet estate. Initial feel of the place was good, but turned out to be very noisy due to the acoustics. Food was kind of disappointing. We ordered 2 pasta, a pizza, a special appetizer of burrata cheese and Parma ham. And steam mussels. The pastas were ok. Pizza was a bit thick and soggy. The mussels was particularly disappointing. It was skinny, salty and smell bad. Not fresh. Maybe the food problem was due to COVID. Trick is not to serve produces that are not fresh especially for Italian food. Better not serve than to spoil the brand.

Yummy food hidden in a quiet little neighborhood! Pastas were al dente, pizzas had a nice chew to them. Prices were OK too. ($18 – $25) for their pastas & pizzas. Recommend to make at reservation if you’re visiting over the weekend. The place filled up when we were there.

We also ordered their special, Burrata ($39) that seemed a little steep but actually OK considering it was a huge piece of burrata accompanied with 4 slices of Parma ham, cherry tomatoes and arugula. Yummy would get it again in a group.

The pizza is well done and taste as in Italy. Some of the pizza was not cooked enough I guess because of the big oven able to cook 6 pizza at a time. I told to the waiter but nobody showed up.

A hidden treasure! Despite being nestled in the middle of a quiet housing estate, it still attracts plenty of customers during dinner time and is almost full. The quality of food here is on the same level as what you’d expect from a restaurant in a shopping mall, maybe slightly better. Price matches the quality (which is say, $15-20 for the pasta).
