Healthy selection of fish soup meals. Tried the sliced fish beehoon soup and the fish slices were thicker than normal. Will return to eat if in this area. Will also add this to my list of healthy makan places.

The malay is nice but can’t say the same about the male stall holder. Rude or not tactful when I asked a question.

Came here often to patronise the only halal stall (2 actually) here. Place is generally clean although ventilation and lighting could be better. Toilet cleanliness standard is on par with most eating houses/kopitiams here.

Ventilation not so good, definitely come out smelly after eating on this place. The space area is also cramp and dirty.

-Kolo mee taste is bland and small portion. The only good thing is the chili.
-Malay food is not bad but the portion of quite little. They also do not give a lot of chili, must request to add it.
-Zi char place is quite good and tasty but please be prepared to wait for at least 45 minutes.
    -Economic rice stall is standard
-Beverage store is not good, tea is too thin

If you are looking clean place, then avoid this place.

This coffee shop is one of the few independently owned coffee shops in sengkang. By that I mean it’s not owned by Kopitiam NTUC Foodfare or Happy Hawkers..

The collective of food outlets is quite basic.. economical rice, wonton noodles, roast meats with rice and a Malay food stall.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t help when the owners of the coffee shop are NOT the most pleasant of people.. if you have outstayed your welcome or have not ordered a drink in a while, the husband and wife will basically tell you it’s time to sod off by switching off the overhead fans.

But that said.. it is a business and turn over of customers is very important if you want to make more money.

Place is a little cramped but the food makes up for it.
Tze Char stall is very popular. Great that they have BBQ options like sambal stingray.
Malay Muslim food is doing so well they have 2 shop lots.
Econ Rice moves their product well and food is always fresh – and prices are almost a charity.
Roast Meats & Chicken Rice are a good standard, just that portions can be a tad small.
Economic Bee Hoon in the a.m. and Char Kway Teow / Hokkien Prawn Noodles in the evening – dependable when one is in the mood for those.
Branch of Lin Yu Mei Sarawak Kolo Mee serves something truly authentic, but portions are small (still worth it compared to flights there).
Another stall selling Chinese Pancakes (Min Jiang Kueh) in the a.m., Popiah for p.m.
Chinese Kueh stall has a special “bowl kueh” (Wuah Kway) on the weekends that are a treat for seniors.
Only thing I lament is the actual coffee stall in this coffee shop. Drinks are way too thin.

    A neighbourhood eating house.
It has a varieties of cuisine from Non-halal to Halal food.

Managed to eat the mee Soto from the stall called no name MKN Haus. Not too shabby. However, this is not for those who doesn’t like oily soup.

    Will try other stalls again.

zi char, malay food, po piah – will order again. mix veg ok.
    the rest:
chicken/duck rice – TINY TINY serving even for the price, previous stall better, this stall way too stingy on portion. – never order again, tried few times, always same.
kolo mee – ok but also tiny for the price – maybe once in awhile.
coffee/tea – too thin – no choice around

Just pop by to see what’s available for dinner. Found… A Muslim stall selling mee rebus, mee Siam, lontong. Surprisingly, the mee rebus was old school and to my liking. Also got a plate of the goreng which was also old school. Love both dishes. Good.

The Malay stall usually has long queue. Food is not bad, should try! The bak chor mee is also yummy but portion is small. Wanton Mee is nice too but long queue, so is the Kolo mee. But the drinks stall owner is very calculative. Prices are quite expensive and the uncle is stingy. My 2yo son dropped the straw so we asked for another. They refused! And today, I ordered hot Milo for my sons and I asked for another cup to separate the Milo to cool it but he also refused! He said need to buy 3 or more cups then will provide. Wah. Cannot take it!
