Generally well kept and clean. However as it is in a shopping mall, it depends on the mall central aircon to be turn on which is around 10.30am. From the shop open until 10.30am you feel the heat and perspire with 20 mins of seating and eating. Secondly The price list at the Tim Sum store is different. When request that they should take it out, the staff ask you not to refer to it. Quite disappointed as they are displaying or misrepresneted the wromg price.

This, kofu outlet provides many different types of food and that it provides a good dining experience. It is not very accessible as it is located at the top of west mall. But the food there is worth the climb. I had a very good experience at this outlet. It may get a bit noisy due to the number of people eating there.

This food court probably has the least turnover rate that I know of. Most of the stalls here have been around for a long time which does speak volumes. The lack of fanciful selections here are fully compensated by the down to earth foods that the locals patronize.

It isn’t the best food. But for $5 or less, you can get a decent meal to satisfy your hunger pangs. Try the chicken curry rice from the Japanese stall. The short-grain pearl rice makes for an authentic Japanese dining experience. (If you eat in-store, they’ll serve up miso soup too!) …

Somethings are nice somethings are so so only. Recommend the hongkong beef noodles, kaya toast coffee set, ban mian & dumplings set, pao fan also ok. Koo kee YongTauFu & pepper lunch is just franchise, tried and tested.

The mala is too expensive and not very tasty, just a few items $15 and actually ONE PIECE of each only. I had to buy extra ingredients from the DimSum stall to add on because the mala quantity is too little. The taste is not mala but like curry sauce. Not great , won’t eat it again.

In general it’s an ok food court with a lot of choices and prices are reasonable. Use the koufu app for some discount using DBS card payment. Convenient location Just because MRT station. But you need to take escalator up to 4th floor to access food court. Not so great if you are super hungry.

Prices at this food court have been rising out of proportion with the rest of the eateries. $7 average for 1 main item here. You could go to another eatery in the same mall for a set meal with meat/veg/egg+drink for about $6. Or go to any coffee shop nearby for a meal 2/3 the price

The place has a large variety of food choices but alot of them are franchises?; Lam’s, Pepperlunch, GaoJi YongTaoFoo etc… Tried the new creation at the drinks stall today- gula melaka pearls. I am not sure if it is just for the day, but the pearls were overly soft and lacked texture even though the taste was ok. The tea is also lacking and below standards compared to the other Koufu. The teh C had the very strong milk taste which is not the desirable kind… Will probably not try it again. The Washouku goen looked appetising with the extremely large fried meats but I couldn’t eat it that day so went for omelette rice with curry instead. Sadly, the curry contained literally 3 pieces of onion and nothing else for $6.30

This place is really good! There’s a wide variety of yummy food. I especially love the japanese stall that sells katsudon and the like, as well as the stall that sells porridge and dumplings. I haven’t tried it yet but the chicken/duck/roasted pork rice stall looks yummy. The drink stall’s kopi is super delicious! This place can be rather crowded during peak hours but that’s expected, and the robot tray collector is weirdly cute.

Let’s start with the good things as the list is short.
Not much of a queue and the prawns shells are removed leaving the tail and head on.

As for the soup itself it’s okay but having tried quite a few Paofan at this point I would say it’s nothing outstanding.
If you are nearby I’d recommend you try the Paofan at JEM Koufu instead. They whip out a much more delicious Paofan there.
Ingredients were pretty stingy for $9.80 (Photos attached). I ordered the #2 Seafood King Paofan and it came with 3 lala, 2 prawn paste balls, 2 sliced of fish, 2 prawns. Over at JEM u get a few more slices of fish and lala.
The rice crispies were not puffy but rather hard and could expedite your next dental visit.
Try the Ban mian at Nam Kee Pau at basement level if you are at Westmall.

A no of stalls, like the Thai food, Ba Kit Teh & Hotpot stalls have closed down while new ones have sprung up

3.5-Star: Grill fish: Got 4 different kinds of flavours, 3 spicy and 1 not. Fish is small one for personal consumption, unlike the usual bigger ones for 2-4 pax consumption… One thing to take note is eat very slowly and carefully as it has too much bones…

4-Star: Buddha Jump Over the Wall: As it is new (1-Jun-2022), the stall was very generous with the numbers baby abalone and fish Maws and the soup was thick but not oily unlike other restaurants. Worth returning. Also, looking forward to their Chicken with Fish Maw Soup which looks flavoursome

    ====

Tian Tian Fish Delight (4-star): Their value sets are afforable and tasty

Korean Delight (4-stars): wide choices and close to original Korean taste. The lady boss (unsure) is a Korean

Desert (3-star): Red Ruby serving is generous portion and one of my favourite which is not widely available in many food court chains…

Bad experience here. Tables were not cleaned as patrons had to clear their own tray, chair had bits of rice & seats are cramped back to back.

Ordered the dessert, a iced mango with ice cream for $3.80. The mango was hard & sour that it made me wonder if its pineapple or mango. There were only 6 or 7 bits of mango. The ‘tadpoles’ or sago were hard & dessert was bland with only a small amount of mango syrup. I know prices of food went up but $3.80 is really outrageous.

Only saving grace was there is a wide variety of food..otherwise, nothing worth returning for

    Clay Bowl Rice @ Koufu

Here’s a good tip for the health watchers the next time you’re at Koufu Food court. Clay Bowl Rice serves traditional Cantonese home-style delicacies that are steamed against a bed of fragrant white rice in a clay bowl..One of their signature item is Mushroom and Chicken with Steamed Rice, ($4.80) which will delight your palate with its combination of succulent chicken meat and mushrooms. The natural essence from the chicken meat and mushroom oozes into the rice during the process of steaming, resulting in a flavourful dish . You can add some side dishes to your main dish. I had a steamed egg and Papaya soup – healthy, tasty & nutritious . Try it the next time you’re at Koufu, West Mall.
