This food court is situated at the hospital. You cannot expect delicious food. It is edible. The vegetarian stall is usually not too crowded during peak hours. There is an area for staff to sit as well. If possible, go there at before 1130am or after 130pm.

Really a rip off. Ordered a fish soup with brown rice, but they did not have brown rice. So white rice was given. There was a lot of veggies in the soup, which was good. But there were only three pieces of fish.

Board states the price as $4.70 but the lady charges $4.90 as white rice costs more!!!!

It is also very convenient for the elderly with disabilities or people in wheelchairs to get on and off the elevator, and the toilet. The local sanitary conditions are also very good. Nice clean place to grab meals at SGH. As lots of people visit the hosp from across countries, it would help to have staff that understands and speaks English, and a menu that outsiders can understand. (Difficult to order a coffee of your desired taste if you are new to the place) More vegetarian, or non-animal options would also be appreciated.

In view of social distancing, many seats are crossed for safety sake. Though the management made effort to tape on the floor 1 meter apart when queuing, patrons who are ignorant stood an elbow apart from the front customer. When asked to step back to follow the marked distance, sigh! Either you get an angry stare, sulky face or they mouthed some words which fortunately absorbed by the mask. Hope there are ambassadors to enforce proper queueing. Generally kopitiam ok.

Eat Roast Chicken Rice & Char Siu Chicken Rice in the morning
Taiwanese people may not be used to the rice here, because it is not good to eat rice here.
It’s a bit like the taste of an overnight meal. The Taiwanese pronunciation is called (Saosao). The food in public places should basically be halal-certified, so the meat sold is mainly chicken. Frankly speaking, it’s not as delicious as Taiwan’s, but it’s worth it What I want to mention is that the chili sauce and garlic ginger sauce are delicious. It is super delicious when poured on top of the rice to absorb the taste of the sauce.

    Nothing new.

Kopitiam, when can you provide real dry trays for your customers to hold their chopsticks, plates & bowls? Any water droplet is a health hazard. It may contain thousands of tiny organisms, or even bacteria or viruses. This “wet tray” has been a national topic for years and obviously your management is taking the easiest way out to service the general public. Additional cost to dry it after machine wash? Or simply profit minded?

The chicken rice stall is tasty but the portion of the rice and the chicken is soooo little as if it is served for a Primary school child.

After I request to add more chicken, the price jumped from $4.50 to $7 but the few slices of added chicken is still too little. Not worth the price.

As I was too hungry, I just ate and forgot to take photo. Won’t buy again there.

EVERYTIME I went there the trays were wet. Cannot even dry the water off the trays after washing.
Food quality is good but very few halal food options.

The usual stable of kopitiam food stalls like yong toufu, barchor mee, chicken rice, mixed rice. Halal stalls available. 10% discount for kopitiam card off listed prices. Gets real busy during lunch time. Generally considered an economical place to grab a meal within this establishment.

The prices are rather high compared to neighbourhood foodcourts. Felt painful especially for many senior citizens who were there for lunch. Saw an old couple just got two vege mixed rice to share.

Cheap food that tastes good. Nothing phenomenal by Singapore standards but anythings’ good if you have to spend several days in the hospital taking care of loved ones.

Clean, bright, buy some variety, fair price.

    清潔,光亮,買點多樣化,價錢公道。
