Wonderful place to bring the kids. Aside from visiting the vegetable farm, kids can buy fish food to feed the fishes at the pond. There are also chickens, birds and turtles to entertain the kids. For retail therapy, there is a small plant nursery, a vegetable market as well as stalls selling snacks and frozen food within the farm premises. Prices at the vegetable market is not cheap though.

Wow! What a great “local tourist” place to spend an hour or two during this time of travel restrictions..wholesale vegetabkes market, fish and birds to keep the kids interested, and visit to the greenhouse for some education. 5 rating

The Sungei Tengah area as a whole is so refreshing that you can forget you are still in Singapore.

Very small farm. If you come yourself, you will probably find this place boring, as it’s just vegetables everywhere. But, I saw a group of people touring the farm with an employee of the farm. The employee is also providing them with information abt the farm. That would probably make their trip more interesting.

We came with a tour group, but our tour guide just let us roam the place ourselves. So didn’t learn much here..

Great place for fresh produce and some entertainment. They have a talking parrot and a super fluffy dog. Family-friendly fun! Also they have a fish tank with huge ancient fish that you’d normally have to pay to see at River Safari or SEA Aquarium. You can also get condiments and traditional snacks here. Great fun for young and old.

Always a place I loved since I was young. Even as the times fly past, this place barely changes, maybe they have better pots to plant the vegetables, better plant racks, better greenhouses to grow the plants but the rest never really changes. The homegrown aloe vera is something I always lookout for. Known for it’s healing purposes,it is grown in the farms. Animals are of wide range also. From birds to dogs to fishes, it’s a great place to bring kids for play or learning. Vegetables are also sold, fresh too. But one thing to take note. Mosquitoes do appear! Bring a bottle of some insect repellent to get the mozzies away. Bring along some cash, just about $10 just to enjoy some aloe Vera honey jelly , honey aloe vera drinks and some local snacks. Fish feed is sold for $0.50 per packet for feeding of the school of koi fishes. Various stalls sell hot food for lunch and even a local side dish, otak or otah. Rice dumplings are also sold dependent on the occasion. Plants are sold for cheap prices and even soil is sold. Tours are given for tourists or tour groups. In a nutshell, this is my childhood, in a nutshell. Go check it out!

This is a good way to promote local produces, though there’s also a mixture of overseas produce which add to the variety. Also a good excuse to explore new marketing place rather than the usual visit to supermarket. There are tied up with other vendors selling snacks and frozen food packs. I even got myself a potted plant and gardening soil from the small nursery on the same premise. For children, there’s parrots, roosters, hens and chicks and tortoises to keep them entertain whilst parents go the shopping. Definitely convenient.

If you have a car, it is good to stopover for 30 minutes to buy some locally grown vegetables and visit their greenhouse. More varieties and fresher vegetables if you go before noon. Activities for the kids include: a small koi pond to feed the fish, some cages with birds and tortoises. There is a friendly light-brown fluffy dog which usually hangs around the vegetable stalls. I hope that the vegetable stalls will add signs to show which vegetables are grown at the farm, and which vegetables are imported, as I assume people go all the way there to buy fresh local vegetables.

This local family-owned business, known to supply vegetables in Singapore for over 30 years, is tucked away in a lesser developed area near Choa Chu Kang (west of Warren Golf Country Club).

They uses both hydroponics (water base) and traditional farming methods to produce high yielding crops like butterhead lettuce and more.

There is also botanical area where we pick up some planter and garden soil with the help of a very friendly gentleman. He gave us some tips on the planter to use and plants to grow for low lit area of our corridoor.

While their weekend vegetables market is not in operation, we were still able to buy some produce like onions, garlic, lettuce, and grocery like chili sauce, sugar, and of course, their refreshing aloe vera drink.

This humble establishment may not look fancy but their work in using advanced agricultural systems for growing vegetables and the role they play in educating the public are worthy of some attention.

The bananas also has a different taste and fragrance I don’t get from outside stalls and shops even though they look similar. There’s a delightful floral fragrance in the bananas.

A welcoming farmers market. Well organised, clean and offers an abundance of fresh and well packed produce. Price is very reasonably low, great value actually in my opinion, for the quality on offer. Go early, around 8ish to avoid the crowd that will start streaming in around 9.

Has a brekkie corner, small cactus, herbs and flowering plants section, and attractions for kiddos, such as chickens, parrot, ornamental fishes and a agritech gallery.

It also sells cooking ingredients, flowers, snacks, and delicious wodak and nasi lemak. There are also chickens, ducks, parrots, dogs, and fish. You can also go into the greenhouse to just watch.

Came here to get some veggies. Good to bring the kids along. A “must visit “ during this COVID-19 circuit breaker period. Simple refreshments available (otah, mee siam, nasi lemak).

Should put up more scan in/out signage for quick access.

Is good place for the families to come here to rest and relax. There’s 2 ponds for the kids to feed the fishes. A few animals for the kids to see and adults can buy plants and vegetables.

We went for a guided tour of the hydroponic farm. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained the process well. The farm produce looked beautiful and very fresh. In fact we kept the salad for almost a week in the fridge.
The weekend market had a lot of vegetables, fruits and other food items, popular with the crowd there.
We had a relaxed and very informative visit.

There is a large weekend market that operates, which is extremely popular, and which has a wide range of fresh vegetables and sauces. We love the mini tomatoes on vines here.

There is also a greenhouse at the back with tours at selected timings. At the other end, do check out the mini garden store, as well as the food area where you can buy items like nasi lemak and noodles to eat at the location. The couple also sells keropok that is freshlh packed at 3 for $10. Try out the otah being grilled on the spot too.

Do also check out the apaimmas and koi, as well as the silkie chickens, parrots and tortoises kept in the pens.

Nice farm to visit with kids, the farm uses hydroponic method to grow vegetables. It’s nice to learn about the different types of vegetables they produce and how long it took for each type of vegetables to be ready for harvest. Only complaint is that there are many houseflies at eating area, so it is not recommended to eat there.

If you come around this area on a weekend morning, remember to drop by this wonderful weekend market where you could get fresh vegetables with one or two you might not see them in markets. You can pick the items from any stall and pay at any counters. Cash only. Try the dried goods too and also get a bit of foods to temporary fill your stomach. If you like plants, they have it too. You can also have organised tour if it’s a large group.

Great educational tour by experienced and friendly facilitators. Our special school students enjoyed the tour and visit. Hands on planting of micro greens was a bonus factor for them and they look forward to harvesting it.
Can see the impact as they could remember what was shown or explained to them.

This place is a real gem for family to spend an hour or two, mum can buy lots of local grown veg (I’m sure some are imported) and various condiments not found in NTUC, the kids can feed the fish and see the giant child size aquarium fish, potted plants (not alot) and food for breakfast or lunch.
Visit the farm nearby walking through the various aisle among the vegetable, teaching your kids about how farming is done, buy some crackers from indonesia. small carpark but you can park along the road or further in, there is a eatery further inside I was told, but didn’t try.
