This coffee shop embodies the modern interpretation of traditional food offerings. The interior styling reminds me of Funan mall, just that it is in a neighbourhood district, under a HDB block in Clementi. The hawker food and drinks served here are really excellent and not too expensive. A real bang-for-buck! Highly recommend the nasi goreng seafood wrapped in banana leaf, as well as the mutton satay.

Paid $4.50 for Chicken Rice. But chicken a few, rice a lot. Not coming back here again. Even the hot drinks like so so only. Only nice ambience, price wise slightly higher than usual place. Advisable to go Ayer Rajah Hawker Centre instead. There more varities and cheaper price compared to here.

If you are thinking of what to have for dinner, why not check out the wallet-friendly halal hawker fare at @kedaikopisg?

A Kopitiam concept by Tenderfresh Group and Kimly Coffeeshop, Kedai Kopi is a welcome addition to the food options available in Clementi. One of our favourite dishes is the Mee Ayam, the halal reiteration of bak chor mee from Mee Bagus. For $3.50, I got a bowl full of mee pok tossed in chicken oil dressing ala mie ayam style, and topped with a pretty generous portion of ingredients such as minced chicken, chicken meatballs and braised mushrooms.

The mee pok is springy and do not clump together, with the house-made dressing giving it an extra umami lift. The chicken meatballs are also well flavored and compact with a good bite to it. Deffo a heartwarming and sedap bowl of noodles to slurp up! if you are up for something spicier, give their Volcano Ayam a shot.

Be prepared for high prices in Nasi Padang store. In my recent trip to Bossku Nasi Padang, I was charged $9 beef rendang with vege&tofu. The price breakdown: $6 Beef, $1 rice $2 vege&tofu. This is easily the price at Jewel Changi’s Food republic. Except we are in the neighbourhood, away from Clementi mall. Portions were good, but nothing could prepare me for the charge of $6 for 1 portion of beef.

Other than that, my visits to the food shop has been largely pleasant.

Food there depends. There are days when it taste so good, days when it taste like theyve never cook before. But i understand cooking is tiring. But there is always a thing called standards. To feed your customers half-cooked ingredients is a nono. I ate at the Nasi lemak food stall, they were busy yes. But i noticed that my egg werent fully cooked, and the chicken is like gimmick. Gives me an upset stomach 20 mins later

Nice variety of halal food such as western, nasi padang, satay, noodles etc. Price is slightly higher than what most neighbourhood stalls are charging. There’s plenty of parking lots nearby and Clementi MRT Station isn’t too far away.

1st time here.Wanted to come down here ever since they opened but didn’t had the chance due to the pandemic.Anyway glad I did..Place look trendy in an old neighbourhood.Abt 15/20mins walk from the MRT.Foods from Satay, hokkien mee, char kway teow, carrot cake & otah otah are available here. Satay/gravy was nice but the kutupat was expensive for its small size.Otah Otah was good. The teh tarik I had was okok only. Will be going back to try out the other food items.

Coffee Shop is clean and nicely renovated. Cleaning staff was very prompt to clear tables, getting it ready for next patrons.

Several stalls offering good variety of food options, including:
    – Tenderfresh (fried chicken and other western fare)
    – Nasi Lemak (excellent)
    – Mee Bagus (local noodle fare)
    – Nasi Padang (great taste, very reasonably priced)
    – ‘Banana Leaf’ Tze Char (including typical tze char options like hor-fun, friend rice)
    – etc

A part of me was reluctant to review this ‘little hidden coffee shop’, lest it gets too popular and crowded; but the bigger voice in me prompts me to give this eatery its fair assessment and recognition

An exclusively halal coffee shop, with a modernized concept that offers lots of variety – most of the stalls also offer mod takes on local fare.

Tried the oyster omelette, satay, and sambal seafood fried rice – generally the portions were generous for their prices.

Worth mentioning was the ‘Volcano Ayam’ from the Mee Bagus stall, a modern take on Mee Kia that resulted from a collaboration with local chef Daniel Tay. Apparently inspired by ramen, the broth was a spicy miso & dried shrimp (‘haebi-hiam’) base that was flavourful and well balanced, complete with a generous serving of mushrooms, chicken slices and meat ball. Overall I enjoyed the dish, especially with the springy Mee Kia noodles. Would have preferred for the dish to be more spicy, or at least for us to be able to add more chilli paste to it. Perhaps the dish also deserves more spring onions to add freshness as counterpoint.

Gonna be one of my neighbourhood haunts since they overhauled the kopitiam with a fresh trendy decor, now presumably wholly operated by the Tenderfresh family. Been trying a couple of the nasi lemak sets and liked them, i.e. the har cheong gai set and the premium set with the nice crispy drumstick. Not as happy with the drink prices… $2.20 for iced kopi c kosong, which is a little pricier than most kopitiams.

Overrated eating place in a quiet HDB neighbourhood. The black sauce carrot cake is horrible, the prata standard is far from the nearby “The Prata Shop”, the Chinese style noodles is very average, except that their coffee is not bad. Yet to try other stalls, but don’t think I’ll go back again.

A halal coffee shop located in the heartlands. It’s a 15 minutes walk from green Clementi MRT station or you can take a bus from Clementi interchange to get here.

All of their food served here are halal and tastes great. You wouldn’t taste much difference compared to the non-halal versions. The drinks stall has unique specialty drinks that is hardly found anywhere else. The Zi Char stall here is by a recent popular franchise of Buey Tahan Seafood. Other than the usual Zi Char dishes, they do have Crab in a Bag or Seafood in a Bag.

The stall I would have to recommend is the BBQ store called Joy Satay(you have to try the mutton), they also have otahs and BBQ prawns which are sweet, fresh and amazingly tasty!

There is a halal version of HawkerMan here which serves Char Kway Teow and Hokkien Prawn Mee. Although they taste different from the non-halal version, they still try their best to make it as deliciously good.

Overall this a good place to chill and gather with everyone of your friends. Since this is a halal coffee shop, everyone can dine without any fuss and food selections. Hope they have more outlets around Singapore.

Many stalls serving different kinds of food. Nasi Lemak, Western Food, Noodles, Char Kway Teow, Oyster Omelette, Nasi Padang, Prata, Rojak, Satay, Seafood, are some of the highlights.

Tried a drink called Bandung Grenade, and I fell in love with it. 1 downside though, its non air conditioned. But who cares, when the food options are mouth watering.

Absolutely the most aesthetic and boujee kopitiam you’ll ever see! Stalls were designed beautifully and the food options were brilliant, familiar concepts with delightful twists in each of them. Had the Mee Bagus there and it was amazing, and the staff in each stall were very accommodating and engaging. The men serving drinks were on point and dished it all out promptly, even took their time to talk to an old man while he was waiting for his kopi.

Even the graphics on the menu were beautiful, like come on.

Best part is, with it being tucked away in the middle of HDBs, it made for a quiet and enjoyable meal outside of the home.

Food place is clean and airy, according to my preference Clementi outlet is by far the best one, not too crowded and the food served not bad.

Mee Bagus is good but preferred the regular staffs to prepare the Volcano set as this time the taste a lil’ slackened due to lesser paste/ taste. Liked it with rich flavours and noodles still “springy”. Don’t scold that guy, give him a chance to master it, I’ll be back again..

We had dinner at about 8:30pm on a quiet weeknight. Really liked the carrot cake which was $3 for the smaller portion (rmb to request for no taugeh). The sambal wasn’t really up my alley but it will do.

The nasi lemak reminds me of Crave’s a little bit but the chicken has more of that rempah taste. Very good, would definitely come again in the day to try others or come back for the carrot cake.

Only a few other stalls were opened that night like Buey Tahan Seafood and Tenderbest. Some others i cant remember. The place was clean and ambience is 5/5. Great variety for Muslims

Update: visited again for dinner, tried the satay which was good, rojak was a tad too sweet. Tender fresh fried chicken was very good, tender and moist.

Fried carrot cake was passable but the seafood in the Hokkien mee wasn’t too fresh sadly.

There is a good barracade put up, safety has been observed and stickers were issued. Alittle disappointed at the food served tonight. Also, compared to other coffee shops, there’s no table service for beverages. I would say it’s a nicely decorated coffeeshop with room for improvement on the food portions. I could see hard working staff cleaning the tables after the patrons forget to clear on their own.

First time eating there, had a mixed experience. The place looks nice and clean, but the food was not up to expectation. Granted, I have low expectations so as not to feel disappointed but I think they could have done better.

There were jelly like stuff on the crispy oyster omelette, which I assume was starch. It was everywhere. The char kway teow had yellow noodles in it, was on the sweet side and very wet. But the weirdest thing was the carrot cake. It was like a fat omelette with the chunks all in it instead of separate pieces like what we typically expect.

Guy at the drinks stall was pretty snappy too. I mean come on, I was talking to him in a polite manner but his attitude was unfriendly. I hope they improve on my next visit.

Chillax environment tucked in a secluded corner of an estate.
The stalls are all halal serving both malay and chinese cuisines.

Sunriser set which compromised of 2 egg, toast and 1 drink for $3. A bit of let-down on the kaya toast which was too lightly toasted, almost flimsy. Average quality. 4*

Mee Bagus aka Bak Chor Mee, consisted of mee pok, meatballs, braised mushroom (not flavorful), chicken slice. Chili sauce is very good but tends to be sweetish. 4*

The variety of food provided are Marvelous….the “Nasi Padang and Nasi Ambeng” , malay mixed rice stalls are appealing and tasty. I highly reccomended as the standard in taste and appearance on par with those with well known brand.
There are western, fusion , Grill banana leaves , noodle and Indian foodas other choices.
As mentioned, it a coffee shop setting as it name ” Kedai Kopi” however its rtaher cleaner than normal housing estate coffee shop….
Dont aspect an aircon or cozy eating place but all food marvelous.

Fully halal coffee shop. Being my first time there, I was very impressed with the variety of food. Eg. Nasi lemak, teh tarik, nasi padang, minced meat noodles, sambal seafood on banana leaf rice. I had a plate of the nasi lemak signature and I love the chilli sauce. Finished all of it with my rice. Downed it with a nice cup of iced tea. Nice vibes and good place to chill. Worth coming again!

    Chic!

Nice tables, chairs and most of all the cleaning team making dinning a pleasant experience.

We followed a recommendation from a Grab driver and found this place.

Tried coffee and carrot cake. Both >4! Good.

Not 5 as the deco lights make the place unecessarily warmer during day time.

Suggest turn lights off during day time.
    More environmentally friendly.

Keep up the good work. Will be back again.

Great placed to hang out with your family and friends as they have variety of halal foods that you can choose including stuffing, western food, nasi ambeng, mamak style, satay, masakan panas dan goreng and the drinks is very recommended too. Milo Tower is a must try because they will serve you exclusively. The environment is quite calm and have nice setup of kedai kopi there. Not really crowded and noisy. Best place that you can try. If you’re from Clementi MRT you need to walk a bit to reach here. It’s just nearby there. Located at the HDB buildings. Not so difficult to find this place. You need to cross the roads too if you’re from Clementi MRT, just one traffic light.

Honestly, the foods sold here are okay only, nothing outstanding or delicious till you can see super long queue. The attractions are the coffeeshop decorations and Singlish signboards.

The place looks really nice and that’s the most selling point. The halal offerings are great too and went here for Nasi Ambeng. However that stall is now permanently closed so had no choice but to order from Buey Tahan of their Honey Chicken Rice. It was decent, filling and affordable.

The Teh Tarik could’ve had more evaporated milk but other than that it is decent as well.

Kind of a surprising find in the middle of Clementi! This is a newly renovated coffeeshop, with a selection of well-established brands taking the stalls. It’s all halal, so take your pick from Tenderbest, to Indian fare, to Malay fare, and must-have mixed restaurant style food!

They also serve unique drinks – I think best to go there to find out about them yourselves!

Interesting concept in the heartlands. Owned by the Tenderfresh group so most of the stalls are Halal. Went at 8am for breakfast. Only the Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam/Rebus/Soto, and drinks stalls were open at that time. Nasi Lemak is slightly expensive (cheapest set was $3.50, some sets were $6.90) but tasted OK.
