It’s a nice park. Quiet as it’s tucked away in a corner. Not accessible by car though, as the only lots are restricted use lots with clear warnings of wheel clamp as a consequence. Anyway, it’s a nice quiet park where you can sit on a bench with your thoughts and revel in the majesty of the heritage “rainbow” tree watching over you.

a small but historically meaningful neighborhood park (in terms of its size and facilities) it is one of the oldest parks in singapore and marked the embark of confrontation between indonesia and newly established malaysia federation in 1963
it is quite close to east coast park but watch out for the nearby traffic because there are a lot of trucks on the road nearby

This quiet park is just beside the Fort Road, along the ECP expressway. The park can connect to east coast park. There is a few places that you can do at the park, like going down memory lane along some of the paths, with signages that shows some of the history of Katong park in the past. There is also a hidden fort that has been uncovered that used to be part of the south eastern defence fort of Singapore. Overall, it is a nice park to walk and stroll around with a quiet and cosy atmosphere.

Lots of mosquitos. No more swings. No carparks. Not recommended unless u live nearby and u can walk to get here. The kids playground is probably more suited for 3 and above.

Personally one of the places that always has a place in my heart. I don’t grew up there, but was born at Haig Road. Used to study at Tanjong Katong Technical Secondary School and knew many of the nostalgic places within the areas that has now been classified as the heritage site of Singapore. Thank you for the memories, Katong.

a small interesting park near the East Coast Park (however they are not connected to each other, but there are some pedestrian path walkable) the park is of medium size (relatively in singapore), with some entertainment facilities and the tree cover is quite nice (the 100-year-old rainbow tree seems quite amazing) this park however marks the start of the Konfrontasi in the 1960s between Malaysia and indonesia (a bomb went off here) so quite interesting. also there is soon gonna be connected with a newly built MRT station (katong park station)

Came specially to see the “rainbow” tree but for all visitors to be aware this phenomenon is seasonal and to come end Feb or early March. But the tree bark itself is already unique from other trees. Smooth n pinkish in color. Like a covering or skin of sorts.

Small quaint park near the larger east coast park.
Much quieter here. Hardly anyone around.

This park is home to the Mindanao Gum tree which originates from Papau New Guinea which is worth visiting. The bark of the tree sheds to reveal colors you wont expect from a tree. See my photos.

This park is built around Fort Tanjong Katong which was constructed by the British and there is a bit of the old structure left.

There is a clean washroom with vending machine, modern playground, lost of benches and a underpass that links to ECP.

As of now there is construction going on for the new Mrt station.

Worth visiting just for the colorful tree.

Due to construction for mrt Station, most areas are blocked. better off walk across the High way to east coast park. I believe this area will be face-lift when mrt works are done but probably few years down the road.
