Some good hawker fares here in this food court. You don’t have any particular stalls that are very good but they are generally very palatable. There is also a ntuc supermarket next to the food court.

The variety of food is increasing as empty stalls are taken up. Have yet to try them. The air con system needs repair/ servicing for some time. Would attract more customers if improved. NUTC is the main attraction in the Mall.

I always visit here for yong tau foo, found it pretty well served with their serving size and price. One thing to take note was their variety wasn’t as much, over the years always that few items and nothing new introduced. Overall experienced was acceptable.

I love the food there. However, I had a bad experience with one of the staff from the mixed vegetable rice. I asked for curry chicken, but she gave me curry only. Therefore, I just softly told her that I also want the chicken and she unhappily grabbed the curry chicken for me. I asked for the braised sauce, but she gave me even more curry sauce, which I just felt that… Nevermind, forget it. When I got to the payment side, she said “$6.70”. I was not familiar with the payment there, so I held my kopitiam card up to her, but instead of telling me where to put the card, or take the card from me, she just turned elsewhere and acted like she can’t see the card in my hand. After about a minute, I saw the card machine at the end of the left side of the counter and I put the card on top of the machine. She unhappily threw the receipt on top of my card, slide my food on top of the counter and just walked off. I’m honestly upset by her service, as I did not scold her or talk to her rudely, as I am a frontline staff myself to understand that some customers are not easy to handle. So I treat all the frontliner nicely, like how I would wish to be treated. Aside from this experience, the remaining experiences at Kangkar foodcourt was fine, so I’ll give a 4 star instead of ratings that are even lower.

Good variety of F&B. But seatings are messy & disorganised. Place is too cramped & difficult to maneuver. Worse when there are queues for each stalls.

Pretty good variety of food thanks to popular brand names such as ah ma chi mian, soon soon, and Thai dynasty to name a few. Seats are average for a food court of this size. As far as affordability goes, there are economical options which allow for a variety of different dining options.

What pulls this place down is the atmosphere. There are a few pests scurrying around, the ventilation is sub par, and lighting pretty dim. The tables however are pretty OK, not the cleanest but I have definitely seen worse.

My take on this place is to have the food items to go. That way you can enjoy what the place offers at the comfort of your own choosing, which will greatly alleviate the experience.

[Updated review as of Mar 2021]

Mala: Went back to eat after a long hiatus and think that the quality is quite good and worth the reasonable. Just don’t go during peak periods. They sell a lot of other Chinese cuisine other than mala, worth trying out. Tried a few, quite satisfied.

Tze char: Pretty good quality and reasonable prices. Great place for gatherings.

Lao huo tang is still pretty good most of the times, the soup is usually thick and quantity is generous.

Bedok cheer kueh is also good, vegetable rice is not bad. Yong tau foo I ate a few times, not bad as well.

Wanton mee, homemade noodles, char kway teow stalls are below average, haven’t eaten in months so not sure if they have improved.

Korean stall is hit or miss but mostly miss. Ate quite a few times. Quantity differs between dishes, quality is bad to slightly above average depending on dish, attitude of server is either lacklustre or downright bad. Spicy chicken/ pork/ beef’s sauce is not strong enough and quantity is pretty mediocre, but meat is tender. Worst of all is no chilli sauce to mitigate the miss moments, so all I can say is… There are much better food in the vicinity. And even among the many Korean stalls in Singapore, this is one of the worst overall I’ve eaten at.

Didn’t try the rest of the food stalls like chicken rice, western, Malay delicacies so can’t comment.

Ambience can be pretty low at times but i think it’s still pretty good for having meals and chatting.

This foodcourt is under the kopitiam group. The place is abit rundown for its age, and aircon is fairly limited.

The foodcourt is at the exit of the 2 storey Ntuc and theres an automated remittance machine at the exit of the Ntuc.

There are many stalls here, ranging from the wanton noodles to kuei stall to zi char.

The Chinese mixed vegetables rice stall is fairly good and serves economic bee hoon noodles for breakfast too.

The zhi char stall (stir-fry) is still the best among the stalls. The zhwee kueh (rice cake) with dried carrot garnish is nice too! There is a stall selling satay mee hoon (satay vermicelli) is not bad too. The rest are average. Try them for yourself.

It is inside the Kangkar Foodcourt at level 1 Kangkar Mall. There are quite a selection of food stalls. It is open 24 hours, but not all the stalls are open 24 hours. Some stalls closes around 9 pm.The food standard differs from stalls.Overall its at average range. The prices are at average air con prices. The air condition is switch off at night and the entrances are open but doesn’t help much the place becomes warm and stuffy. You can use the Kopitiam Card for payment and get a 10 % discount. The building is shared with Ntuc Fareprice which opens 24 hours. So some late shoppers can have their suppers here.Parking is at open air HDB car park infront or at Blk 805 multi storey car park which is just a short walk from the foodcourt.

It has a few food stalls selling delicious local delicacies, like swee kueh, economical fried bee hoon, zhi char, satay bee hoon, etc.

Latest update (06 Mar 2020), the Fried Hokkien Noodle has changed owner. The present one is fantastic, dishes out authentic Fried Hokkien Noodle that comes with pork belly meat, squid, prawns, jiu chai (vegetable) and pork lard! Tastes delicious!
(12 Mar 2022) The stall has winded down for good…

Latest update (25 Oct 2020), the mala hot pot stall is terrible. Mixed up with the customers’ order, and the mala hot pot did not taste as good as before. That is the problem when business gets too good and standard starts to slack off. Do not think will patronize ever again.

Update (12 Mar 2022), a few new stalls have made their way to the foodcourt such as Thai food, Western cuisine and a noodle stall. Come and try these food and see how they fare.

Good variety of F&B. But seatings are messy & disorganised. Place is too cramped & difficult to maneuver. Worse when there are queues for each stalls.

Tried the satay bee hoon. Very small portion selling at $5.50 & $6.50 with cockles. Ridiculous to charge additional $1.00 for four tiny cockles.

Little bit run down but serves it purpose in the community. The mala stall is truly a real gem. Prices are some of the lowest and it’s tasty as well.

There is a good range of food and ample dining space. The price range is slightly higher than at a more traditional hawker centre. Although there is central air conditioning, it still gets a little warm during the day. No smoking is allowed on the premises. It is open 24/7 and is easily accessible for elderly and wheelchair-bound patrons.
