I stayed here for 2 weeks of SHN. It was absolutely wonderful. The bed and the pillows were the comfiest I’ve ever had. The view out of my 21st floor room was sensational. The room was clean, spacious, and had lots of mirrors. I really enjoyed the bathtub as well. The staff in this hotel were lovely, they made sure that feel I was well-cared for.
Informed hotel I am there to celebrate my birthday and they placed a cake in my room even though I made a last minute switch to a different room. Everything in the room is great! Special love for the big and deep bath tub and the mirror at …
1) Service was excellent. Staffs were everywhere to assist you. From the moment we alight from the cab until check in. Benson was outside to usher us from the cab and offered to bring in our baggage followed by WaiYing for the fast …
Mohammed (five stars for Mohammed) at the front was amazing! From the moment we pulled up to the hotel all the way until the end of our stay he was always so helpful and friendly and gave us the best tips and tricks for Singapore!
On the other hand I stay at JW Marriotts all the time and this one had it qwerks, the rooms are somewhat small and the room smelled like humidity. The other challenge we had was although everyone was willing to assist us with some questions we had, it would take a lot of time to get answers as not everyone was well informed on different things we asked like the spa, the pool, covid test info, the robes in the room we wanted to purchase. So that was a bit frustrating. But overall it is a nice hotel with a great location that is central to everything and would possibly consider staying here again (only if Mohammed is promoted )
JW Marriott provided me with lots of surprises for my BD and Anniversary stay there and it was nice to see the staffs actually decorated my room with Birthday and Anniversary wishes to welcome me and spouse. Truly touch!!!
Very new property. The whole hotel gives me a bit of a grand and fancy property vibe with the esplanade train connection and number of good restaurants on the basement floor. This hotel has a 5-star location, with 5-star equivalent surrounding amenities, and a 5-star hotel exterior design.
The lobby is however very narrow making it prone to traffic jams, the service at the front desk is quite slow. I think the front desk might’ve not appreciated my late arrival due to an almost 2.5 hour flight delay – because I was placed in a room below the roof line, where pool-goers have a direct line of sight into my room. This is also with a status that supposedly guarantees a room upgrade when available, but for whatever reason we got no upgrade. Every single person I’ve ridden the elevator up with has been placed on a high floor, except me. Strange. The service staff lacks the warmth and welcome that others are trained to never slack on—After staying at multiple high end hotels (Conrad, Shangrila, Aman, Ritz, etc) I can positively say that JW lacks everything in the hospitality and service that higher end hotels offer. Just as an example—when arriving at the Ritz just down the street we were given a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, and the were made aware of all of the hotels exits. The only ‘welcome’ we got was from a staff member who said ‘Merry Christmas, by the way the wifi is out – so if you want food, write it down on a sheet of paper’. Yikes. The minibar and room service is horrendously overpriced—even compared to the ritz, the included amenities are very cheap. I noticed there’s even paint peeling inside of my room. On the second day I noticed room service hadn’t set the bed properly, so the fitted sheet was just laying on top of the bed. There’s just so many details that make me believe this isn’t worthy of a 5 star rating.
Pleasant stay in JW Marriott South Beach. Easy access and connectivity to Esplanade Station is the strong point this hotel offers. However, I would appreciate if there is welcome drink or welcome gift offered to Marriot elite members who …
The staff at the JW are fantastic, very smiley, very accommodating but the club lounge needs sorting out as it was not how a club lounge should operate. …
Had a 14 day stay with this hotel. We were constantly undereating, food was brought in at different times, portions were tiny. the bathroom stank terribly as soon as we entered the room. I had some restriction in food that I let the hotel know about, but they ignored it all the time. I used to love this hotel very much, but I will never choose it again. Attaching a photo of breakfast that I had about 4-5 times during the entire stay…
My room had a great view and bay window and sofa was lovely.
Housekeeping service was very prompt and the staff were polite and helpful. All …
The front door service – Great
The Breakfast and service – Great
The rooftop and service – Great …
As a member of JW Marriott, I feel that the overall ambience of the hotel is great but what deters me from going back is their swimming pool because it’s always cold. Although their view is great but the water is always cold. And it is sheltered. So if you’re expecting a good sun tan then you’ll be disappointed. The restaurants around the hotel is great. Akira black serves great Japanese food and South beach kitchen has wonderful buffet during the weekend. Book way early to advise disappointment
Had a great time sleep, with comfy bed and pillows. Great bathtub size as well however, temp of the water could not be adjust. There was only warm – hot temp. No cold water temp. Breakfast food can be improve. But for the stay, over all is a good experience. Clean room and staff was friendly.
Stayed here to celebrate husband’s birthday. The first room we got was dirty and gloomy. We were very disappointed. As we venture a little more into the room, there was a stain so huge that I can’t bring myself to ignore.
Feedback to the front desk while I head out for lunch. They called me after an hour to apologise and I was told that they have another room ready for me. It’s the same room type with no upgrade. The corridor smelled musky and you can see mold above everywhere. Not something that I would expect paying $1200 for 2 nights.
On a good note, the service provided was impeccable. Staff were really polite and helpful.
It was a great experience. The ambient and hotel facilities are good make us feel relax. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. …
Look, I understand COVID regulations are difficult and most hotels are trying the hardest they can with limited staffing numbers. The JW South Beach seems to have just given up. Even as a high tiered elite member, anything, no matter how …
The hotel entrance is nice and space is comfortable. From receptionist a bit slow, when my day check in only 2 counter. The room for me is good, clean, toilet is big enough for a person. The bed is soft and good to sleep. If you tired can …
Go to level 18 for a 360 view of Singapore. The bed was firm and accompanied with pillows that provided well deserved sleep. The toilet comes with a heated seat for a warm experience. Come here with an empty stomach as the Breakfast selection was awesome.
JW has always been one of the business travellers’ favorite hotel, as high level elite status holders get to enjoy lounges and complimentary breakfast.
And the lounge here even has 2 afternoon food presentation, one Post-Lunch and one Pre-Dinner. And they r both amazing, so many options and high quality. They taste even better than most restaurants!
Breakfast is EPIC! This is what singaporean breakfast and hospitality is like. Get ready to be spoiled.
The swimming pool at the high level has an unobstructed view of the city, and i cant see any buildings going to be built in front as it is some monumental sites of Singapore, so this JW is built on a really good piece of land with amazing view.
Front desk was so helpful! No request will ever be rejected but at least attempted.
Thank you Ms Jacqueline for helping me with my room.
Special thanks to all the staff in the executive lounge, you folks made everyone so happy in the lounge, this feels like a very private and secretive club and i feel so privileged to be here. Thank you so Ms Cora, Hazel, Kay, Hana, Loraine, Gabrielle, John, Yi xuan, Sam, Randy, Darwyna. I had a chance to speak to all of you when i was working, eating and enjoying in the lounge. This is such a Star Team!
Thank you JW Singapore. This Hotel ROcks!
Overall happy with our stay. Capacity control well orchestrated. Felt rushed during breakfast but no issues otherwise. Food at breakfast was a good spread. Pool is small but picturesque. More a business hotel than for families.
Fantastic 5 star hotel and located very conveniently just above train station and also walking distance to marina bay.
The service is great
Highlight is the infinity pool on 18f, they also have a gym and a pool table. Fantastic views of the bay, definitely recommended
Very fantastic hotel in very beautiful location near by marina bay.The service was very professional .The staff was very good. Rooms were very neat and clean but bit small. Food was very good.Fantastic view on higher floors. Executive lounge service is spectacular a great place to decompress at the end of the day. This is a great property but on first glance seems more business vs family appropriate.Top room amenities include a minibar, air conditioning, and a flat screen TV.
Well done JW Marriott!!! An exceptional hotel- clean, contemporary with superb artwork throughout. We stayed in a deluxe family suite which was super modern. Big king size bed for my wife and I, big sofa bed for my 13 year old son. Wicked bathroom and great sized lounge to chill in after exploring Singapore. The executive lounge was superb we were welcomed / recognised by name everytime! Great food and drinks on offer and well worth considering as eating out in Singapore can be expensive! Hazel and Jeffery were super friendly and welcoming. Come to think of it, all the staff were helpful and friendly! It is obvious the hotel management have put huge thought into the ‘visitor pathway/ experience’ – all the staff have bought in, it’s a genuine caring, happy vibe and not at all forced.
2 incredible pools and a decent gym. Cool gin bar too! We didn’t use the restaurant(s).
The location is perfect and the MRT / subway is just outside the hotel, alongside a host of restaurants.
Explore this fantastic city, then chillax in the pool and enjoy the view from skylounge on level 18!!!
On the day of check out, I got to the lobby at 745am to leave my baggage for the weekend as I had another flight to catch to Indonesia. There was a long queue at the reception counter with people waiting to check in, and no one at the concierge. After waiting for 2-3 minutes I approached the reception to ask if anyone was going to be at the concierge soon because I needed to leave to catch a flight. Reception said “sorry I think the concierge is away and would be back in 2-3 minutes”. So I waited and still no one showed up after 5 minutes. Hence I approached the reception again and she said “the concierge was attending to someone and is on his way back”. I waited for another 5 minutes, still no one. For such a large hotel, there were only 2 people doing check ins and they couldn’t spare any attention at all. I got frustrated and went back to ask again where the concierge was. It was then she told me to go look outside the hotel as the concierge might be there helping someone. So I went. I did not find the concierge but found out from the doorman that the concierge doesn’t actually start work until 830am, and there was no way anyone was going to show up at the concierge counter in the next 5 min.
I ended up only managing to leave my luggage at 815am, after 20-25min of waiting around.
My taxi cancelled on me, and I had to wait another 5 min for another taxi to arrive. I almost missed the check in for my flight.
I’m perplexed how (1) a reputable chain like JW Marriot can be so terribly short staffed (2) how the reception can not know the operating hours of the concierge and wind up providing hotel guests misleading information.
Couldnt recommend this hotel enough! This place has everything you could ask for. Nice and strategic location, very good service, very clean room.
The breakfast is also amazing. ️️
The stay with JW Marriott was decently good, although I would expect them to be better of course. …

Erstklassiges hotel. Komme gerne wieder.
First class hotel. Will definitely stay here again when im in Singapore next time. Good food (breakfast etc.) very big choice of international cuisine. For breakfast you need to walk over from main to the 2nd building approx. 50m over square. It might be a bit uncomfortable for some people especially when it’s tropically hot if you wear a jacket with a tie and you don’t want to sweat in advance before entering the office. But if it should rain the step over is covered with a ”roof” so you stay dry from rain. For me it was problem i like tropical temperatures also like to eat outside sometimes when i have private time. All areas beside outdoor areas are well air conditioned. Taxi place in front there is a que when it’s peak time sometimes. Hotel is close to city and many poi’s. Very clean but this is standard all over in SGP. It’s close to the fair center. Restaurants are a lot around that place and markets. The ground bar is also a short walk to the other building. Room was nice even the rain shower and self cleaning toilet at rest rooms. Automatic light as well for night walk to own room toilet to keep a safe viewable walk through yr room. Service excellent. Nice design. First pool area is nice and relaxing to have a sunbath. 2nd pool area is without sun due to a roof with a nice view and a bar also with enough seat in front of the bartender and also a place next to the bar with relaxing chairs.
Loved the location and the events we attended for Formula One at the time. Watched Grand prix and formulas from the terrace of JW Marriott Singapore south beach and it 2as even better than the podium vip section itself as we have seen it all from above. A private function was held where we met and gathered with F1 drivers and friends. Not to be missed for next time
I celebrated my wedding anniversary at JW Marriott Hotel on 11 to 12 Dec2021. I must thank Ms Rebecca Lew of front office for arranging my early check in n a complimentary JW signature cake for my wedding anniversary. She also volunteered to help me book restaurants for my anniversary dinner. The early check in allows me to explore the amenities n enjoy the scenery from the sky park. All the staff from front office to the sky park n the restaurant at south beach were so friendly n courteous. This make my stay very memorable. I will definitely come back n recommend to my friends.
I planned a proposal for my stay with JW Marriott. Prior to the stay, I have enquired if I am able to check in earlier. However, your staff told me it was way too early to promise me an early check in and promised to check back agin when …
Our king room was slick, modern and had Phillipe Starck accents. It was average size. We were a tad disappointed that we couldn’t use our Bonvoy suite night award but found the hospitality of the staff we encountered made up for the …
Greatly recommended for the excellent service & professional staff. Room is clean & spacious. The children really enjoyed themselves, not to mention the great variety of food with the generous portions at the executive lounge. We are looking to book our staycay again in 3 month’s time.
It wasnt a President Suite upgrade like what we commonly hear in MBS.
JW Marriotts offered exceptional services during our 1 night stay, celebrating …
It was a pleasant stay and with amazing staff. They went extra mile to attend to our request. Always polite.
The rooms are posh and clean. The TV can be connected to the phone & had good amount of channels. WiFi was strong.
I always stay at this hotel everyone I’m in Singapore. Great location, nice helpful staff and clean room and facilities. Their club lounge is one the best I have seen and the staff their make you feel like you are home. Staff is so friendly we know them by name now. One of the best staff experi3nce this time around was with JoAnn at the club lounge. She is so personable and pays attention to details. She remembers our order and would serve us that everyday during breakfast. I noticed that she is doing that with all guests with a smile. Just wanted to send a shout out to here. Behavior and experiences like these makes you want to always visit and pick this hotel.
Also not to mention the welcome gift I found in my room when I landed.
Highly recommend.
From the time i stepped into the lobby of JW Marriott to the time of check out, my experience has been amazing! Service was excellent, housekeeping was top notch and the staff who did our room was very proactive and attentive to details and …
The hotel front manager apologised to us and offered us a free upgrade of room for our next visit. Everything was settled, the case was closed, our $2600 deposit will be credited back within 10 days and he will expedite the refund. They sincerely invited us to their hotel JW Marriott (SIN) in our next vacation. Thanks and appreciated. Hope we will have a sumptuous breakfast by then.
Honestly, this is the BEST stay my wife and i ever had in our life so far.
Service was top notch, special mention to Nicholas Ho, where he take note of …
Living in Singapore, we’ve always wanted to stay a the JW Marriott. We recently had the opportunity to take a long weekend there and the stay exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic and the property is very nicely designed …
Definitely not worth the price and service and time waiting for basic things a hotel should get right like check in and check out takes over 30mins.
Great hotel, really good f1 view from the pool. Nice bathroom size as well & excellent customer service. Food from
The Buffett is solid as well
I stayed 3 nights with my young kid over chinese new year, but the hotel just not suitable for family. Nobody aware about the challenges that you created for the kids to do in order to get the rewards, the swimming pool has fantastic view …
My husband and I were allocated Marriott for our 14 day quarantine stay which ended last month. The staff were very professional and our requests were met promptly. Our room was modern, spacious and clean with all the essentials. Appreciated the effort made by the hotel during this pandemic!
we had requested an early check in at 11am, however the room was not ready upon arrival. we were told that we would have to wait for an approximate of 2-3 hours before the room we requested would be ready. …
In the past 12 months my family (two kids, aged 5 and 2) and I have spent long weekends at 3 hotels: the JW Marriott, the Fullerton hotel and St Regis. JW Marriott has emerged as my family’s firm favourite for the following reasons: …
I was on staycation with 2 of my childhood friends to celebrate my belated birthday. The hotel staff, both front desk and room service, were always friendly and helpful in accommodating our requests. Housekeeping staff also deserves our praise and appreciation for bring efficient.
Special thanks to front desk agent, Ms Yubin, for sending a complimentary birthday cake upon my friends’ request. She even sent me a personally handwritten birthday card with a hand drawn birthday cake which was really special to me. No one writes personal messages these days which makes this card even more special to me. Thank you, Yubin, for making my stay at JW Marriott Singapore South Beach a very memorable one.
Wonderful hotel with Great service and Wonderful breakfast spread at Beach Road Kitchen.
We’ve lived here a month. Foremost the staff has been routinely friendly, accommodating, and delightful to my 3 year old. The hotel is ideally located and very easy to walk and take the MRT from ( it’s just above the Esplanade line). In addition to a PHENOMENAL breakfast buffet in a beautiful spacious restaurant (the entry is not directly attached but across a pedestrian path 15 second floor to door), the are also two delicious vegan friendly eateries also I’m the pedestrian plaza, bars and meat centric choices I am less familiar with. The lounge open twice daily is also great. Afternoon tea feels like mostly business meetings via zoom but the staff there (like the rest) is amazing, and the vibe of comfortable still to bring our be 3 year old. Evening appetizers and cocktails can feed the family ( of vegetarians and carnivores alike) and the wine and cocktails for freely and are decent. Nearby the homage to colonial splendor oof yesteryear, the Raffles Hotel is across the street from the South Beach pedestrian plaza so you can enjoy the beauty without celebrating it’s uncomfortable old world elitist vibe… You can also see the WWII monument for interesting historical juxtaposition. Chjimes, Fort Canning, and the National Gallery are all quick and easy walks as well. Raffles Mall and Suntec city are immediately proximate as well. This isn’t a 5 star review for a couple reasons. First, despite being a couple with a young son (and Bonvoy Titanium Elite status) booking for, weeks with it on our profile that we wanted to be away from elevators in our room, we were directly off the elevator bank. When I requested the change a few days in, staff was happy to oblige but with 7 suitcases, this was very annoying. We were then given a ‘family room’ which was more comfortable (but an awful view for sure). Around a week after that move though, construction noise began directly above us. Not a little, but intense drilling that went on and off from 3-6pm. I immediately contacted the front desk (it was during my son’s nap) and was told the construction would continue for 9 days. I was born away. We are booked through August, why was there no courtesy call? Again we packed our now 8 bags to wait for our next change. Despite being told an hour, we waited two before going to the lounge during which time the bags were moved for us. Lost note, the spa. I’ll review that elsewhere more in detail but, although the facilities are comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming, the massage was underwhelming at best. 15% discount doesn’t mean anything when the room is cold (I could have asked to change the temp but seriously it was unexpectedly frigid), the street noise is clearly audible (distracting from any ambiance) and firm pressure requested equates to a glorified oil rub from the signature massage. book elsewhere.
Nice property east of Marina Bay. Rooms are way smaller than at the Westin, and the fire doors are really annoying to open. Amenities as expected. 18F pool is more a glorified jacuzzi, Westin way better in that regard. Wifi unstable and haphazard when changing floors or coming and going. Nice executive lounge with the usual servings. Parking in level B3 is convenient with direct elevator access but charging station in level B2 requires an app and a SG phone number.
Breakfast restaurant a bit cramped but buffet is nice. Location is great, a short walk from Marina Bay with lots of restaurant options within walking distance.
Hotel tried to charge me with a mysterious 97 SGD amount at checkout which vanished as soon as i asked. Beware.
service levels definitely dropped – was a great experience early part of the year but sadly did not feel recognized for our Elite status. …
Very friendly team all around the hotel, especially the front desk staff, professional and make us feel so welcomed! Clean and nice ambience, smells good too! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back! Thank you!
Hotel receptionist rebecca lew accomodated us with her excellent service through out the checked in process. Great Job! …
Had a one night stay at the JW after a 14 day cruise. My SNA did not clear so no suite but did get a nice upgrade to a corner room. Room was huge (especially after a cruise) and the bathroom and the toilet were an awesome experience!! …
The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. The customer service of the hotel is awesome.
The food is great
I also like to thank the Hotel management for surprising me with a Birthdate Cake.
The view from the top floor is spectacular
We had a staycation at jw marriot for our 20th anniversary. The hotel room was clean, spacious and the food was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole 2 night stay.
Not sure how great this hotel is when it’s operating as a hotel, but as a designated facility for the stay at home notice it is lacking in some regards. The rooms are quite nice and modern, with excellent bathroom facilities. But for such a high quality hotel the televisions are quite small. Refrigeration space is minimal, and there is no microwave or any other way to heat food. And my breakfast today consisted of a 375 calorie meal. 100 g of pancakes and no protein is hardly a meal. Well, there was protein, there was 10 g of butter. Considering we’re paying $2, 000 sing dollars for our stay I am surprised that they’re giving their guests under 1500 calories per day. This is below many of the international minimums for prisons.
Nice pool and lobby but a not a good experience for us and wouldn’t recommend:
* We checked into a 1 bed room suite on the mobile app but when got our room assignment, unexplainably had been downgraded
* At check-in as platinum members, were not offered the breakfast option (only points or a fruit basket)
* We didn’t receive a call to let us know our room was ready, which were advised we would get and needed especially after an 18 hr flight
* The actual hotel room was worn out, appearing dirty in some places (yellowed sink/other places, hand prints on mirrored surfaces), and not as nice as we would have expected from a JW Marriott or newer hotel
Stayed here during the F1 race. Accommodations and service were great. It is a great location to all of the central city attractions and easy access to the subway.
1. Check-in staff was friendly but the disappointing thing is my room was not ready even at 3 pm. We waited till 3:30 pm.
2. Staff cane to deliver fruit plater did not knock on the door nor press the …
Professional staff. The basic guest room was smallish but very thoughtfully designed. Shower area was great. They have an electronic bidet but I didn’t know how to work the remote so didn’t use it. Pool was great. Sheltered so we could use it even though it was raining. Stunning view from the pool.
It’s a beautiful property and can’t thank enough Bernice at the Conceirge @ Southbeach JW Marriott. She went out of her way to buy me my favourite Kueh for free and cherry on the cake the recipe of it too! A completely god sent
Spent a few weeks at the JW Marriott South Beach. The staff there is amazing! They will go above and beyond to help you with any issue you may have and get you where you need to go. The hotel is well-maintained. I noticed a button was …
As previously mentioned, my parents were asked to pay extra for 2 pax upon check in when it was officially stated on the website the suite could accommodate 4 adults. Don’t try on a cash grab on Singaporeans. Their children might turn out …
We had a wonderful staycation at JW Marriott
We stayed in the club room, there’s not much to complain here, the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The pool is in a shaded area so I never went in because the water is so cold, but the views are amazing. I do wish there were more lounge chairs where we can sleep in.
Lots of people say that the breakfast option is limited but I thought it was plentiful.
I really enjoyed the hospitality at the club lounge, special thanks to Hazel, Melvin, Yusof and Antonio, you guys are amazing. The staff at the lounge are attentive and they will make sure you are well taken care of. I will return to the hotel for this.
This is the best hotel we have experienced. Friendly staffs and easy access to shopping malls, eateries, MRT just at the door step. It’s a perfect hotel location and cosy at night while strolling around the amenities. Will definitely recommend to my customers, colleagues and friends.
This is a beautiful hotel, centrally located both within Singapore, and in the middle of a shopping and dining complex with easy access to public transportation. We were fortunate to have Hazel take great care of us in the Executive Lounge, and likewise Kenny at the Tonic Bar. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this property and its staff more highly for your visit to Singapore.
Hotel service is excellent, room was very clean. View from both pools was great! Hotel staff have adapted to Pandemic measures well, and guest experience hasn’t suffered.
Had dinner at Beach Road kitchen : the buffet spread is pricey, but the menu is great: had lobster, oyster, various cheeses, meat cuts, and deserts. We all over-ate, but didn’t regret!
Great property and location, During this COVID challenging time, traveling to a oversea location are extremely hard, however the front desk and executive lounge staffs really make our stay safe and comfortable. Also all 3 in house …
A gorgeous room with beautiful panoramic scenery. The stay was made even better with good services provided by the staff. Please convey my heartfelt thanks to the staff: Executive Lounge: Stella, Hazel, Cora, Irene, Vivis, Hafiq, Kay, …
Great hotel ideally located. The restaurant is excellent
Thank you Fizah for making our family’s trip worthwhile. Room was well decorated. Service was excellent. To those who are staying, should look for her ️
Great location, beautiful views of the city. We were thrilled with our stay. The executive lounge is wonderful. The kindest and most attentive staff, especially Hazel and Karthik! Hazel made sure we knew the best places to eat and see. We loved Chef Raymond who made us wonderful egg dishes every morning of our stay. Thanks for taking such great care of us and making us feel at home.
Metal backrest rockong chair ? Creative but not comfortable to sit on. It is also too small.
Still prefer long iron bar to hang towel so it will dry faster. I usually prefer to use same towel during stay.
I am member of Marriot titanium. Get no room upgrade . What is the privilege of being member ?
At 6 pm called 6 times to 0 and nobody pick up the phone. I went to front desk and they said they were very busy.
We just checked out from St Regis in the same city and check in to this hotel. At st Regis we get free bfast and free bar 3-5 pm ( although this is a joke, who will be in hotel at 3-5 pm? Usually people go back to hotel 7-10 pm)
Bfast has many food choice , fried rice n beehon tasless
OJ fresh, nice
Nice elevator , very fast n smooth
Small room size compared to st Regis
This will be first and last time for me to stay in this hotel
My husband and I had a very pleasant experience during our 3D2N staycation. The staff were attentive and offered a personal touch in their impeccable service. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the front office team thoughtfully sent up a cake and some macarons during the first night of our stay. While cleaning our room, the housekeeping lady (Anna) saw that my husband brought along sunglasses and left some lens wipes for his use.
The L18 pool staff (Shaun) was also extremely helpful when we approached him regarding my lost wedding band. The ring was eventually recovered with the help of the doorman and the security team. We can’t express how grateful we were. Thank you JW Marriott for the wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!
I stayed at JW Marriott South Beach for a week. The stay there made me mentally and physically refreshed and ready for the next day. Staffs are super friendly & great. Beach Kitchen buffet was nice. Highly recommend visiting the cafes & bars in the premises. Esplanade MRT station is right below the hotel and taxi service is good too.
Excellent hotel – rooms are large, the bed super comfortable and the views towards the city are fantastic! Staff is friendly and efficient. Would recommend to get the breakfast – excellent choice and quality. The views from the terrace on the 18th floor are stunning with an infinity pool. There is a decent gym, which has free water, apples and towels.
Stayed overnight at a premiere guest room with 2 friends. Staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Hazel and Cora from the executive lounge who were very proactive when we dropped by for tea and later in the day for drinks. Breakfast was also notably peasant because of the food choices available. Pool had a great view. Check-out was a breeze
Everything is amazing! From view to food (and price) high
Beautiful and clean hotel. Great service and close to the subway and many bus stops
Where to start ! Great hotel great location! The room was beautiful and clean ! With one of the best views! And the staff was amazing they made me so special on my birthday thank you so much! Also the breakfast is beyond incredible so many options ! Good so good ! Thank you ! …
I waited only 10 mins to check in at 1.30pm. Very nice spacious lobby with multiple armchairs for my family to sit while waiting. Check in was a breeze, with clear instructions on check out time and booking of breakfast & facilities. …
Excellent service and amenities. We loved the breakfast buffet and the executive lounge benefits. Hazel and her colleagues went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we could ever need.
Wonderful stay at this hotel.. Great location and amenities.
Check-in was seamless, room is very spacious too.. great experience for us overall
Spectacular view! Great services! Especially the staff at the swimming pool up top.
My only concern is that the water has abnormally high level of chlorine, very clean but bad for skin when swimming!
Stating my review here as my review that was written in the feedback form via email clearly wasn’t addressed/ answered at all.
Booked JW Marriott sometime last year in high hopes. Arrived at room looking pretty dated but that’s fine. Later on, me and my partner realised that the buttons to the curtains were not working and the fridge being pretty dirty and unkempt.
That aside, requested for a clean up of at least clearing rubbish / replacing new towels MULTIPLE times but was never done.
Service at the front desk was okay-ish, rooms were terrible. Breakfast at Beach Road Kitchen was probably the best takeaway we can have. Lovely service, ambience and food.
Again, not my preferred place to come to anymore for its pricing.
Our stay in JW Marriott was excellent!! Room was roomy n clean, staff were attentive and warm, location is right smack where u can move around so conveniently! Highly recommended and looking at making another booking soon…!
Great location at the heart of CBD opposite Suntec. Rooms has all the modern amenities. Lobby quite impressive. Guess officer welcome u back. Great hospitality.
Room just a bit cramped with the work desk so close to the bed.
Only if the breakfast could be better. Just so-so. Not up to mark for a room price of almost S$500 per night. A lot of other hotels better.
Could not have loved this property more. Great location, perfectly clean, wonderful service and AMAZING pool. Staff was even kind enough to leave treats in our room for our honeymoon.
Service staff was wonderful throughout our short stay of 3 days. Rooms were made up nicely and request were kept up with. The breakfast had a good spread as well. The swimming pool offered a nice view of the city, but water was really cold. Location is good as it is within walkable distance to shopping malls like suntec, marina and city hall.
Hotel is in a great location and close to all main business areas and restaurant’s.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. …
I was here for my Reunion dinner with my family and friends. A lot of verities of food. The sashimi and the seafood are fresh. Good ambiance and friendly staff and service. Food replenished very fast. Thumbs up for Alvin and Kumar for their great service. Keep up the god work and we’ll be back again with friends.
Rooms are expensive and small but nice. Great location as you have access to the MRT and all the underground shopping malls and restaurants.
The entire stay was comfortable, from check in to check out. I appreciate the personalised check in and birthday greeting. Thank you for the cake, and the 2pm check out privilege. Room was very clean as expected, with a great view, of …
Fabulous and wonderful staycation for my stay throughout as an Ambassador Elite .As an elite member i got access to the executive lounge and i would like to thank personally Irene from the executive lounge who has assisted me for my …
My husband and I stayed in JW Marriott for 2 nights recently and we were very impressed with the service and professionalism of the staff. Special shout-out to front desk staff Alex and Jusanna (and another lady whose name we did not get). …
Had a fantastic time at the hotel. The pool has the most amazing view and the room is very stylish. The food was excellent too (but the portion was small, then again one can always request for second servings). The staff from front desk, …
As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member I was given a tiny room on a lower floor with a roof as a view. No welcome gift. When I complained I was told the hotel is full so presumably they give the good rooms to people not Gold Elite guests. The images on Bonvoy app and website do not relate to the room I was given. The reception staff member and also reception manager basically told me if I didn’t like my room then tough. So I shortened my stay to move to another hotel. Worst Marriott experience in 5 years.
My second stay with the JW Marriott (this time in slightly difference circumstances – under SHN) but am equally impressed with the courteous staff and timely delivery of my care packages! The rooms are bright and spacious, however it looks like there’s noticeable wear and tear from the high turnover rate between quarantined travellers. They have options for room service and rental of items to make your stay more comfortable. Only surprised they didn’t allow my request of renting an additional mini fridge for the room during my 2 week stay. Other than that, no complaints!
Came here to the Ballroom for my Friend’s wedding. Amazing accommodation for the event. Great atmosphere and staff to handle the event and food catering.
Stayed here for just about 3 weeks. Although there were a few hiccoughs along the way, they were addressed in the right way. Can’t expect a 1000% perfect stay when things are just getting back into full swing, there are staff shortages (and not just in SG), and the country hasn’t welcomed in guests for a while – but the way the staff ultimately went above and beyond made our stay memorable, pleasant, enjoyable, and ultimately sad to leave.
Really enjoyed the club lounge here – drink selection was decent but really it’s the staff that make it what it is. Special shout out to Hazel who was really a pleasure to deal with and always took good care of us.
Also special shout outs to the housekeeping team and in particular Julie and Ailing who also made sure our stay was comfortable. Little touches like shoe bags on our last night really show the thoughtfulness here.
Lastly thanks to Grace – I know guests sometimes can be hard to deal with but I appreciate the efforts in making things work.
Will definitely be staying here on my next trip.
My favorite Marriott property in Singapore. And I say this because I’ve pretty much stayed at all 5 star Marriott properties in Singapore (other than W Sentosa). JW not only has a pretty central location, they also have beautiful airy well maintained rooms, and customer oriented service!
Stayed for the weekend and it was a great stay. The rooms were decently spacious and clean, design of the rooms with mirrors makes the room looks spacious and interesting. …
Had a 3d2n staycation celebrating my birthday. Room provided to us was not that spacious, thus far excellent service provided by the staff. Hotel app is also very useful as all our requests are sent thru the app and response/service are timely rendered.
Received a complimentary birthday cake, thanks. Hotel has a stunning pool view thereby, we really enjoyed taking lots of photos on that area.
Fantastic hotel and friendly staff. Location is perfect for the F1 and can watch action from the pool. South beach is a beautiful precinct, so convenient to the Esplanade and City Hall train stations.
This is not our first time visiting JW Marriott South Beach. We had to miss out 2 years of our stay as Marriott catered for Stay Home notice for covid patients. …
Before checking in, my experience wasn’t so good. Was trying to call Beach Road Kitchen 3 weeks in advanced to book for dinner but there was no answer and no response to my email. …
i am very pleased with the service and attention during my stay. i especially like to thank Talgat who had checked on the Candlelight Christmas performance which I then managed to get the tickets and had a lovely evening with my wife. …
JW Marriott is the 2nd biggest hotel in Singapore after Resort World Sentosa, MRTs/Metro from all side of Singapore available just underground.
Stayed at the JW for weeks and let me tell you the staff is amazing! They make the stay very enjoyable. They Help you out anyway they can and go above and beyond to get you where you need to be and solve your problems.
The hotel is well-maintained the pool is amazing the view is spectacular and located a short distance from Singapore‘s best attractions.
The executive lounge is superb and has great drinks along with room service as you can see form from my pictures below. There is a bar close by called The Alchemist I would definitely check it out.
Stayed in a premier room for 1 night. In terms of room, it was definitely spacious enough, but there’s too much mirrors in the room. Love the fact that the TV has easy access to HDMI, which is a must for me for all hotels. Very comfortable and large bed, which is a plus.
Check-in was smooth on the Saturday I went, thankfully. JW is unfortunately slightly overpriced for its range. Will definitely head back again, but might consider if it’s worth paying for it.
To begin with, will credit the staff for extending their warmth and hospitality to us throughout our stay. They are enthusiastic when tending to our needs, smiles from concierge to reception and housekeeping.
Special mention to staff at executive lounge. They observe and serve according to needs instead of using will rehearsed lines when serving customers. They were quick to respond and followed up on our requests with prompt updates.
Room service could do better though. We called to request for an item. After a long wait, we picked up the phone, only to be told by the operator that the item was not available. We could have been informed earlier.

The stay is simply one of the best stay with any Bonvoy hotel! Frontdesk was attentive and caring, kudos to Rebecca for all her effort to make sure we get our desired room! …
Room – beddings and pillows smells. I hardly slept well in the 2 nights stay. Room toilet is probably the best feature. Cleanliness is there. Room for improvement- would be good to review the bathroom amenities provided. Hardly any …
JW Marriot is an oasis! Every aspect of the hotel (from the check-in at the front desk, the lift, to the rooms, the pool) transports one to a quiet and calm surrounding. All the hotel staff encountered were extremely warm and personable, making the stay an extremely relaxing one.
Deluxe Rooms were much smaller than we thought – lots of hallway, not much space in the bedroom! The bathtub was nice. The lobby’s at the room floors were musty and had a faint smell of mould. How accurate that is, I am not sure. No visible proof.
Staff were helpful and nice, pool was definitely the highlight of the stay and breakfast (buffet style – so surprising with c0void but most people were safe-distancing) was super yummy. Please try the eggs benedict and the frozen yoghurt!
The most recent stay had disappointed me and my boyfriend. Summary:
1. Arranging a birthday surprise in JW Marriott Hotel Singapore for my boyfriend:
— Dropped an email to the team on 1st of June 2022 to enquire if there are any complimentary deals that my boyfriend can enjoy while staying in JW Marriott Hotel Singapore
— Reservation team took the time to get back to me the next day by informing me that “they are pleased to arrange a 250g birthday cake upon arrival”.
— The team gave me a heads up that the complimentary birthday cake’s flavor varies daily, and this I acknowledged and understood.
— The Reservation team did not confirm with me the details of my boyfriend who is the 2nd guest so that on the Reservations team’s end, they can update his details on the reservation as an additional guest.
— No one from the Reservation team actually got back to me to confirm that my boyfriend will receive the complimentary birthday cake and it will only be delivered after our arrival until I had to drop the team an email on the day we checked in and also drop a call to check on this. We could have avoided this.
— After making a couple of calls, eventually, I rejected the option of having the birthday cake delivered to our room the next day as I was feeling disappointed.
Plus point for (1):
— After rejecting the option of having the birthday cake delivered to our room the next day, the In Room Dining team actually left the cake in the butler cabinet. This surprised us as we did not expect this from the team. Thank you for the effort!
Rooms for improvement for (1):
— After receiving the complimentary cake on the very night we checked into the Hotel, we actually received another cake and a handwritten card the next day, nearing our checkout time. We appreciated the extra effort. The team could have communicated properly so that it would make no double delivery of the cake.
— What’s a little upset is, I had clearly mentioned in the email that the birthday cake was for my boyfriend, however on the card, they addressed it to Ms Guo (which is me) and not to my boyfriend.
2. Housekeeping:
— On the same night we checked in, we chanced upon a condom wrapper under our bed
— On the dressing gown (or bathrobe), we saw a stain on the inner part of the dressing gown
Rooms for improvement for (2):
— Housekeeping is an unseen service, as guests are only aware of it when the Housekeeping team has failed to meet the expected level of cleanliness.
— We do hope that the Housekeeping Team handles a thorough cleaning to ensure that there is almost no indication of past occupants and that every room is exactly clean from head to toe.
3. Hotel Breakfast:
— I had double checked with the lobby staff on whether my package included breakfast. The staff replied to me saying “Yes” after checking in the system.
— The next day, 10th of July 2022, when my boyfriend and I reached the breakfast place, we told the staff standing at the front counter our room number and he checked our package does not include breakfast. He proceeded on to let us in first while he did the checking. We walked in with the thought that “our hotel package included breakfast, that’s why the staff let us in”. But in the end we had to pay extra for it. Although at that point of time, we remembered that the staff at the lobby told us that the package included breakfast, we got confused when we were told again that our package does not include breakfast.
— We proceeded on with breakfast in the end.
Rooms for improvement for (3):
— Communicate in a proper manner so that someone can convey properly to the guests as well the correct information.
– If the communication was done properly by letting us know our hotel package does not come with breakfast, and when we booked the breakfast slot, the staff(s) should let us know it will incur extra charge instead of letting us into the breakfast place while they do the check.

Giving 4 stars overall was an enjoyable stay.
As a platinum elite, staying at Marriott properties all over, I’m very familiar with what to expect from the brand. This was hands down one of my top three stays and experiences ever. For starters, terrific location, right in the middle of …
A great way to stay in a urbex area. Near to Suntec. But I think menu can have some for Muslim. Halal kitchen. Which really means a lot to us. We want to eat the eggs at breakfast also 50/50 because there is pork.
Impressed that FO offered 10am early check in via email and complimentary amenities however upon check in the staff said room was not ready at 1pm. Informed that i received email otherwise and eventually got a room …
Stayed for 3 night staycation and I could say this place lives up to its name. Great location, everything in reach.
Attentive, helpful staffs top notch service throughout the stay. Fell in love with the pool area and it’s view.
Akira Back is the place for fine dining and sushi lovers. During breakfast south beach restaurant gets quite packed with people. Sometimes have to wait in long queue to get in. However they have a range of cuisine’s, I had the most unique and delicious fruit pizza from that restaurant️
The pros
1. Room is spacious i booked deluxe suites
2.the view is breathtaking, and fantastic. …
My first experience abroad and could not ask for better service (Gabriel was so friendly & attentive), rooms were luxurious, and access to the executive lounge (Hazel was an amazing hostess) made the whole trip unforgettable!!!
Helpful staff. Strange smell in bathroom of the first room I stayed in, moved rooms and the 2nd room was much better. I didn’t enjoy the breakfast here, hot food was cold and dried out, bircher muesli was so sweet it was inedible. The fresh fruit was fine. Not a bad hotel.
I got a room with window view almost blocked by rooms on both sides. It is closed to LRT station.
It was a very nice experience for me, and hotel really showed its high standard. As the Titanium member, I can say that it is one of my best experience all over the world. …
Stayed in JW Marriott South Beach for a staycation. The service and facilities in the hotel were excellent. Breakfast had a wide spread of local and international cuisines. Fresh juice and yoghurt ice-cream were also served in the …
Request for a corner room for the best views. The 18th floor is a perfect oasis for chilling – especially with this refreshing pool which never sees the sun. Stay for breakfast especially now that buffets are back. Highlights – lobster eggs benedict and XO carrot cat.
The service is exemplary. Even with the full house over the long weekend , the staff goes above and beyond in guest recognition. Our wine glasses were always topped up during the generous 5:30 to 9pm happy hour. Club access is worth the upgrade
One of the best hotel if not The Best!! One must stay at the JW Marriott to enjoy the full range of amenities
Awesome staycation experience with comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom. The bathtub is also spacious unlike other hotels. The toilet bowl has also automatic features which is one of a kind amongst the hotels stayed. …
Already confirm a booking in December 2021 for my wedding anniversary but was cancel due to pandemic where the gov using the hotel for quarantine purpose . Kind of disappointment . Manage to book this round with the sale stuff ( Adam ) …
Overall, my stay was just okay and nothing more. I realize that the pandemic continues to wreak havoc and hotels are trying the best they can! However, the JW here in Singapore seems to have just given up. Staff were mostly nonchalant and didn’t care. Any request made (ice in the room, changing breakfast time, etc.) was met with exasperation and indifference. Even as an elite member, they weren’t very accommodating. Personally, save your money and head elsewhere. It will probably be a better use of your money. Rooms were clean and well kept. Some signs of showing age. Executive Lounge was nice, but they have such limited seating and demand exact bookings.
This property was fine. But the rooms were small and the service was fine. Nothing exceptional or memorable. I am not sure I would come back to this property – some of this was due to COVID. I am used to a better experience at other properties.

I had a wonderful 2 nights stay at the hotel. The family room was spacious with great view. The hotel, room and the amenities were great.
All the staff had very good customer relationship. They were warm and welcoming. …
My husband and I just had a splendid wedding celebration with JW Marriott south beach on 4th September 2022 and will like to take this opportunity to compliment 2 of your key stars’ employees Laura Chan (SENIOR EVENT SALES MANAGER | JW MARRIOTT SINGAPORE SOUTH BEACH) and Nutthee Low (TEAM LEADER) for the extraordinary and dedicated service that they had rendered to us. In fact, we are both from the service lines and for someone to impress us beyond what we can apprehend is really not an easy task. Despite scouting for multiple venues with other luxurious hotels, Laura was the only exceptional one that could read our cues, and requirements and recommended a package specially suited for us. She is constantly checking out on her client and will respond to our needs very promptly. Nutthee low was very experienced with the operational needs on an actual day and he is able to react to and resolve any in-prompt circumstances that arise abruptly on that evening. His alertness and attentiveness throughout the whole event were commendable and the whole team that was led by him did a fabulous job and our guests had a great time with the great services. Our guests also raved about the food that was served that night. They are really a gem in this industry and our wedding wouldn’t be a success without their dedication. We will definitely strongly recommend JW Marriott south beach for any new couples as the entire experience from the hotel was superb.
Unforgettable greetings from the front desk: “are you going to spend your honeymoon with us during your stay?”, whilst I was looking around to ensure there was no lady or other types of companion near me to justify that question. I proudly said: “not this time, but my lady would love that offer the next time we stay here”
On a more serious note, very friendly staff and always helpful.
In room dining is plentiful and enough to keep your hunger until the next meal time
P.S.: I ‘can’ eat quite an amount of food served to me
Service from front desk and at every touch point is good. The room is very big and I love the bath tub. The pool on the 18th floor has the best view of the Financial District. The major shopping malls are walking distance from the hotel. I enjoyed my stay.
Now this is what a 5-star hotel should be!! Amazing rooms, excellent location along with superb service made for a wonderful experience at this hotel. I highly recommend considering this hotel when in Singapore!!
We had a fantastic staycation during the recent school holidays and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and services. A special shoutout to Rebecca Lew and the team for the great hospitality shown to us during our stay. Look forward to returning to this hotel soon.
This was by far the most positive experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, and I’ve stayed at many hotels, and have had many long-stays like this one. I attribute the great time I had to the many remarkable women and men on the staff of the JW …
Not worth the $$$ / more buisness than staycation
Background- just moved to singapore, trying a new hotel once a month. Husband is 4nights away from Marriott Platinum, so we’re at the JW South Beach
Overall
5star
New rooms & bathroom with a toto toilet (the ritz carlton deluxe marine bay view had old toilets with no bidet!), great location- MRT, raffles, suntec vity, chijmes, etc
3star
Freezing cold & small 18th floor pool
6th floor pool under repair
No cable (for world cup 2022)
Window view is meh
Food at the pool is just ok (save your money) and takes 40min
Not impressed with the lobby & amenities for the price
1 star
No proper coffee maker in room- instant coffee REALLY ????
NO turn-down service
It’s the morning of our first night (staying 2 nights), and can’t comment on the breakfast yet
** but i will say the Ritz Carlton Club has excellent free flow champagne, fantastic views, even if the furniture was looking a bit tired (we stayed 2 weeks ago)
Everything was nice during my stay. The only thing need further improvement is the booking process/system for breakfast which is not aligned as people expectation. In my case, check in counter advice me to place booking for breakfast to avoid long Q during peak hour in the morning. I did the book one day in advance and receive the confirmation for my seat. However, when I arrival 5 mins prior the time slot I booked, I was requested to join the long Q and when they arrange seat for me, they even don’t check for reservation. Therefore, to save your time/resource, I suggest not make reservation for breakfast just go the restaurant and join the Q.
Special shout-out to the front desk staff who checked us in, he truly made our stay extremely memorable. service here is impeccable and the room is well designed. Hotel is so conveniently located in the buzz of the city, yet there is a calm.
The best hotel we have ever been in.
Compared to those in the Caribbean, Asia, the USA, and Europe.
a spacious, comfortable space, particularly the bed.
Interior design is contemporary.
Very welcoming employees, notably Richard in Beach Road Kitchen and Hazel in the Executive Lounge.
amazing meals and beverages.
Can’t come up with anything bad?
Would strongly suggest!
Oh and don’t even bother booking it on all 20+ recommended sites on Google, unless you want to pay over 800£ a night if you go to smaller sites like Locktrip for example I payed 377£ instead, use this LTL6E discount too so you can maybe enjoy a extra day at this amazing place
I enjoyed my stay at the JW. Being centrally located allowed myself and my parter to explore Kampong Glam and Chinatown on foot, which was nice. Additionally, the food places located within the vicinity of the hotel helped too, although the …
My wife booked a suite for 1 night on 28 dec 2022. What i could say is, for a prestigious hotel, their service was atrocious. Yes, you may have a nice looking place, but you won’t go anywhere with this kind of service. Firstly, the room was delayed by 3hrs. She asked the receptionist for a temporary room but was inform they couldn’t give her a temporary room as she only paid for one. Thus, she waited for 2 hrs. After feeling uneasy, she approached another receptionist for a temporary room. This time, the receptionist gave her a temporary room.(why was this not done earlier?) in around 1 hr, her suite was ready. So in short, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I have received much much superior service from much cheaper hotels around. Good looking hotel, disgusting service. -100 stars
Fantastic location just near esplanade subway Station. Can walk to raffle city shopping mall.
The service is great and check-in and check-out is very efficient. We can even do mobile check-in.
The room we are allocated is massive and looks new. However there is no bath only showers.
The view is ok from the room. However the view from the swimming pool is amazing.
Breakfast is buffet and have good choices.
Overall great experience.
The hotel is located at a very convenient location, which provided excellent access to nearby shopping malls and vast dining choices. Ms. Luna Kim at the front desk provided excellent service and always with a friendly smile. …
It was good time to stay Marriott Singapore.
But it was for quarantine and different from normal stay.
We requested some essentials like yogurts for breakfast or linen, for a first …
Really good hotel for membership equal or above platinum. You may enjoy true and complimentary Happy Hour here.
Breakfast is really good too
Absolutely incredible stay at a great Marriott property. Being a Bonvoy member, I tend to lean towards Marriott properties whenever I travel and once again, I believe I made the right choice. The staff were amazing, the rooms were luxurious and spacious and don’t even get me started on the pool and gym. All around, a great spot to be with a central location, amazing service and a great hotel all around. Looking forward to coming back and staying here again!
Amazing hotel, great views, and central location to great sites.
We had an amazing stay at the JW Marriott South Beach. Our 24 hour stop over from Europe to Australia felt like a true mini holiday. The staff were incredibly courteous and accommodating to all our needs from a rollaway bed to the in room dining to a late checkout so we didn’t have to spend as much time in the airport for our night time flight. Large and spacious rooms with great beds too. The 18th floor swimming pool was the cherry on top!
Services given in atmost level. Elite members like us feels pampered as the staff are very accomodating. Supports are always active to provide your needs. Food outrageously delicious. The room is a bit small compared to other property but its very Cozy and clean.
All staff’s services, manners and gestures – 100% satisfied.
Before arrival, they contacted me to ask for any preferences and special …
Stayed at JW Marriot South Beach for 2 nights. Everything was excellent from booking the rooms ( thanks to Shafiqah , who handled all my phone call queries and ensured my room booking was done smoothly) , check in and check out. …
Everything in JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is EXCELLENTE! Staff, cozy environment, clean and location are all superb! Thanks to HAZEL, ANTONIO & CORA of the executive lounge for their great and wonderful services rendered to all the guests.
I thoroughly enjoy my stay here while in Singapore. The hotel is very luxurious with a great modern design.
The staff are outstanding, each person being very friendly and attentive. For example, frequently while waiting at the elevators housekeeping would stop as they were walking by to wish us well for our day.
We were upgraded to a club room on the top floor. It had a spectacular view of Marina Bay Sands and the surrounding area. I tried to request suite night awards but the stay wasn’t eligible.
The breakfast buffet in the main restaurant was the largest selection I’ve ever experienced including many dishes from numerous cuisines.
We also went to the lounge for hors d’oeurves one evening. Hors d’oeurves was a huge understatement with multiple meat, vegetable, and potato dishes in addition to salad, cheese, crackers, pates and desserts.
A couple minor downsides – the Wi-Fi was not consistent which was surprising. As well, the pool was too cold to stay in for any length of time. I was also surprised to find there were no loungers by either pool.
Despite this I would highly recommend this property and the next time I’m in Singapore I will definitely be returning.
Great hotel with some killer downtown views. Rooms are nice and service is excellent. Infiniti pool on the 18th floor is amazing. Good fitness center with good amount of equipment. Plenty of restaurants around and a mall across the street with more food options. Can access the MRT station from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!
What a beautiful ballroom area for all kinds of events. A grand stairway, a glass house, high ceilings, some colonial feels they also provided great service and affiliation with the Marriott brand. I have provided a video for some reference. The location is on Beach Road excess is via Nicoll Highway.
– great rooms
– great location
– staff never picks up the phone so pls ask duty manager to give you his/her …
Pay for 800 SGD per night. The room is awesome decor, new but the stainless steel holder of mirror stained tremendously and look disgusting whenever you brush or wash your face (my bad luck)
There are standing shower and bathtub but Only one set of bath gel, shampoo. If you drop it between bath tub and wall then you can’t have bubble shower
Staff are a bit stressful and not friendly. No positive and happy energy
The breakfast and restaurant are best in Singapore
The avenue is awesome with beer club, bar, lounge, Starbucks and excellent Japanese and Chinese restaurants
Love the hotel and will stay again
Outstanding design & architecture by JW Marriot south beach. A stunning and sexy design room that my bed and bathtub have a breathtaking view overlooking the beautiful Raffles place skyline. The Infinite pool is well design and got a …
Awesome place, very apt service. Any request made from room are addressed promptly. Only improvement, in the breakfast menu I don’t understand what is vegetarian and what contains egg and what is Vegetarian. There is no Vegetarian and non vegetarian symbol on dish names.
This is a very modern well presented hotel on the South Beach development. Stayed on a brief overnight stop arriving after 9pm on a booking with executive lounge access. The next day on checking out at the front desk I asked to be let back into the executive lounge as i had an hour before I needed to leave for the airport. The agent on the front desk said the lounge was very busy and refused the request. I can’t remember ever staying at a 4/5 star hotel where the use of the facilities or lounges (other than the bedroom) were withdrawn after checkout time for the remainder of the day.
Also tried going to Akira Back restaurant in the basement which is advertised to close at 2:30pm. Was refused a table at 2:03pm because they were closing soon.
It’s a beautiful property but I can’t extend any compliments regarding the service.
5 star hotel lived up to its rating. Firstly, the entrance to the hotel is wow and the chairs in the lobby were super comfy. The room was exquisite, spacious and its design was very modern and an eye-opener for me. Bathtub in the toilet with shower and toilet bowl separated by doors. Bed was comfortable and TV was good. A lot of cupboards to store your stuff. Great view of the surrounding area and the sea if your rooms are placed well. Wifi not too bad, quite fast but was down for the whole hotel for a short period of time ( Caused great inconvenience for me ). Door of the room was heavy, and had to use a lot of force to push it open.
Service was top-notch as the housekeepers were friendly. They were foreigners but they still put in the effort to say simple greetings which really make you appreciate their efforts. Rooms were cleaned well after make-up. Other hotel staff were also friendly and calls for assistance were answered quickly. For example, when the TV stopped working, the hotel IT person arrived in like 5 minutes to fix the problem fast. Quality service.
Food at the hotel which I had was only during the breakfast buffet, which had a wide spread of asian and western dishes. Delicious and literally whatever you can think of, its there. Staff were friendly and quick to clear the dirty plates. The ability to pick whatever food you want again truly returns you back to the early days before Covid. However, I witnessed a boy using his hands to grab the food and put inside his pocket, probably stealing the food. After that, he went to take it again with his hands even though there were tongs. Crazy, Unhygienic and Inconsiderate. But that was not the hotel’s fault though, because they provided ample tongs to pick up the food which you wanted. Just an experience. However, I had a hell of a time stuffing myself so much that I did not need to eat lunch after that. Kudos to the chefs and staff there.
Location was good and you are able to have a bird’s eye view of Singapore’s city skyline in the day and at night which is magnificent. There is a linkbridge to Suntec City for shopping and food and restaurants operated some by the hotel and some privately. A lot of people go there for late night drinks and food. If you find that it is not enough, you can access Esplanade MRT station to shop and eat at Raffles City Shopping Mall. Thus, high connectivity and access to explore other parts of Singapore. Carpark below which charges exorbitantly, however as a hotel guest you can request for a complimentary ticket at the conceirge to offset all the costs so that you can park free. Close to Bugis and other delicious places to eat.
Amenities was good. Fitness Centre which had whatever a workout enthusiast needed, dumbells, treadmills and other gym equipment. Certanly one of the biggest fitness centres of the hotels I went to. Swimming pool was very cold though, as it is located at the 18th floor which makes you suffer the wrath of the wind. However, it has a bird’s eye view of Padang and the entire CBD area. Truly beautiful 180° view. It also had a wide open space to play badminton without a net and a football table. There is also a table tennis table and a billard board which you can request from the staff to get the equipment, not the badminton one though. Quite good and you can relax on the chairs also enjoying the view or reading a book, while basking in the fresh air. One plus point would be that where all of these amenities are located is sheltered totally so no need to worry about bad weather, including the swimming pool. Other amenities include a spa and a wine tasting place.
Overall, this hotel was perfect and I would visit it again.
I had 3 bookings for my wedding day. One was a bridal suite, and the others were for my guests. Overall, I am not happy with:
1. The check-in process.
Upon arrival on 23 Sep, I was told that I couldn’t check in at 3 PM because a VIP guest was in the room and he/she was allowed to stay until 4 PM. So, we had to wait until 5 PM for check-in. I was told that someone from the hotel would call my number when the room was ready, so I could “walk around” while waiting. I waited past 5 PM, but no one called, and I had to walk to the check-in counter to confirm that the room was ready. The overall experience would have been better if I had been informed of what was going on, instead of keeping me waiting. We were told later that the guest in the room tested positive and they had to change our room.
2. Room condition.
The first room that we checked in was bad. The pillowcase and blanket had stains. We also can’t easily change the airconditioner temperature. Knowing this, I cancelled the second booking’s second-night stay because one of my guests is very sensitive to cold.
3. Unreasonable check-out request.
My guests were being asked to check out at around 10:45 AM because the hotel staff knew that the same guests were moving to another room for the next booking. On 23 Sep, we specifically requested and confirmed that we could only check out at around 3 PM, and the staff said no problem. My guests had appointments at 11 AM and waited 45 min in the room for hotel staff to move their bulky items. No one came. They called and explained to the front desk multiple times, but no one came. In the end, they were told that the next room was not even ready. Time wasted, appointment delayed.
4. Vase. We requested a vase because we wanted to decorate the bridal suite with our own flowers. The vase that we received was chipped. Not something I’d expect from a 5-star hotel.
5. Bills and Payments. On 23 Sep, I had told the hotel staff very clearly that I had no time to make three separate payments on my wedding day, and I would like to settle all payments and deposits upfront, and bill any additional charges to my credit card directly. To my disappointment, the hotel staff CHARGED my guest’s credit card and OVERCHARGED my credit card for more than S$2,000.
Overall, I’m not happy with the hotel at all. I had high expectations of JW Marriott, but I didn’t like the experience at all. After I shared my feedback with one of the managers, the manager gave me a $200 discount for one of the rooms to compensate for my unpleasant experience.
In my opinion, the hotel team/management really needs to work on their internal communications.
The overall experience was nice. The check-in and out process were smooth and the staffs were really nice.
One thing I didn’t like that much was how the people in the restaurant were treating their guests. They would get the empty plates on your table without asking for permission.
Very posh room and bathroom. Nice pool with a great view of the city skyline
There’s also some entertainment for the family in the form of a table soccer machine, table tennis table and billiards table. We enjoyed our stay here.
5 stars! The stay was better than we had expected. Service was excellent from check in to our dining at South Beach kitchen. The servers were very attentive and truly made our stay special and personable. A standout would be Muhammad Ali, …
Friendly, well trained staff. Decent lounge, good breakfast.
The one downside is that sometimes there’s a queue for breakfast which is a bit annoying. Apart from that it’s a top notch hotel in an excellent location. Everything is right there.
Excellent stay! Stayed for 2 nights. I have requested for a connecting room and was given one overlooking a patio upon check-in which I was uncomfortable with. The front desk was quick in managing the rooms changed and everything was …
Amazing service, beautiful interior and building. I love hotels with nice bathrooms, the shower and tub and toilet even were all amazing. Hair and body products included were not basic hotel products either, it was good quality. Rooms were clean, sheets were clean. Breakfast also included.
It was one of the best service for hotels, great staff all around. The pool had amazing views, and the room was decent. Great location, walking distance to many malls. Great staycation for my family!
The staycay at the hotel was to celebrate my daughters’ birthday. We were warmly welcomed by Natasha at the front desk. Thank you for the excellent service especially at the Executive Lounge with special mention to Antonio and Hazel. Also, …
Impressive service quality. I like the way they pay attention to every details. Breakfast had lots of choices. Will come back again!
It was an awesome stay at JW Marriot where we were given early check in at 1pm. The swimming pool has a great view of the city landscape of Singapore, only issue was that the pool water was too cold (maybe can consider making it a thermal …
I like the hotel’s driveway that is wide enough for vehicles to bypass vehicles that had stopped to alight guests, unlike some hotels where there is only a single lane. Accessibility to the car park is also a breeze.
My family totally enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect – service, location, cleanliness, friendliness, amenities, etc. We did not eat at the restaurants of the hotel, but only the breakfast and Executive Lounge – always friendly and …
Our family’s stay was to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday and we were extremely impressed! I requested rooms to have a view of the new year’s eve firework display and they exceeded our expectations! My daughter absolutely loved her …
Excellent hotel in Singapore. Facilities are amazing and the team and very friendly and helpful – they were very accommodating to us and offered an attractive upgrade to a suite in the dates we were visiting. Expensive for what it is, but the Singapore hotel market is pricey
What can I say about this hotel?
Having travelled the world staying in many “5” star hotels this really hits the mark, every aspect from Check in to check out was flawless,
beautiful views from the room which are well maintained, housekeeping who take a great pride in their work, the Executive lounge is superb with a huge
selection of food and beverages, the staff there, Hazel, Ren, John, Kay, Gab and Fatimah where a joy, nothing was too much trouble and their knowledge
of Singapore made a very special holiday even more special. This is one of the best 5 Stars we have stayed in and is a credit to both the staff and Marriot
and should be the benchmark that all other hotels should be judged against
Great evening selection at executive lounge – cocktails, hot/cold food.
Nice pool area, nice view/seating on 18 floor
We stayed in Deluxe suite with family for a staycation and our stay was nothing short of amazing! This is probably one of the best staycations we had so far. The room is really clean and modern, with Japanese toilet seat and deep soaking …
Read this honest review before booking, I’m an expert in staying in different hotels so I know a thing or two about hotel quality. And this is definitely below average. It really questions who is really rating the statuses of these type of hotels.
Don’t believe about the breakfast being amazing it’s below average lol, you can go to nearby to Suntech and have a $2-5 filling breakfast. features that they have a bidet and so on the Fullerton hotel room his has been a standard for years and many other hotels nearby.
Fairmont hotel was amazing, the Fullerton Hotel is a must and a perfect location.
Stay away from this hotel. I’d recommend this hotel for a backpacker or a stay that cost anywhere from $20-$50. Anything more you are just throwing your money away from the amazing options nearby.
Terrible run down hotel—tile chips on the floor cleanliness was awful, sticky floors dirt splotches hair in the bathroom etc. common property items, like pool table cloth was ripped not usable, fuzbal table broken and many more.
You can get better Customer service at McDonald’s lol. During checking was always on their personal phone messenger texting multitasking and smiling away while checking us in.
There’s definitely a lot more I could say, but my honest recommendation; look at way better options. Below will be just a few pictures as evidence.
A wonderful staycation at the hotel which has finally reopened for leisure. From the concierge Farhan to the front desk staff. Jerry and Rebecca who have helped ease the check-in process. …
Value for money. Extremely professional staff. The breakfast spread is good. The view from the pool is great for a dip and also photography.
Strategically located. Mins from various attractions, eateries, shopping & a quick run 🙂 .
Modern rooms in the business district of Singapore. This makes it a very nice and chill area, but not a lot to do, so you’ll need to be transported often. This hotel is right next to my fav whisky bar (Quaich Bar) so thats a bonus. Very nice gym and pool on the top floor with a nice bar. They are still working out their bar program as of this writing, so their cocktails need a little work. Selection of spirits was just OK.
My partner and I recently completed our stay at the JW Marriott Singapore and we are already missing the experience. We received such amazing service from check-in, at breakfast, during evening cocktails, and through to housekeeping each …
Did a 3D/2N staycation in the junior suite… Mixed feelings about the suite – modern decor and layout but gives me a feeling of a apartment/condo rather than a suite. The suite can cater up to 4 guests, has 2 separate toilets, only 1 shower and 1 bath tub. Dunno whether due to staff shortage or CNY period, I feel that the customer service was a bit lacking for a 5-star hotel. But still overall an enjoyable stay.
Was upgraded to a Club room as per benefits of GHA entitlement. Room had electrical problems, Wizalina was extremely apologetic and reassigned us to another room, impressed with the initiative & empowerment of the staff. …
Have been wanting to try JW Marriott at South Beach but was disappointed with the entire stay. The bath robes and wardrobes had a really bad smell and the room was setup for 3 adults while we clearly booked the room for 2 adults only. Had to spend a few minutes convincing the reception that I am seeing a physical additional bed and not the sofa attached to the room. Not likely to return.
[Positives]
1. the Executive Lounge had a good selection of drinks and unique.
2. the gym is quite well designed with adequate equipment. managed to have a good workout in the gym.
3. the breakfast place (Beach Road Cafe) also has a good selection of food items.
4. the view from the room and the pool was great.
5. the indoor pool looks beautiful.
[Negative]
1. Poorly maintained room even though fairly new property.
2. Stained wallpaper in the room, stained marble wall in the room
3. a wardrobe which smells quite badly and the bath robes had a very bad damp smell. I believe the housekeeping knows and thus hung a lot of air freshener sachets in the wardrobe.
4. the TV in the room is extremely small. smaller than many other properties around. probably the smallest TV in all the properties which I have stayed.
5. The breakfast place was swarmed badly. Waited 45 mins for my food (a simple fare) and coffee.
Spent my birthday weekend here and loved it! Good service even from the pool staff at lvl 18. Room was well sound proof couldn’t hear other rooms’ door slamming whatsoever
Had our 1 night stay at the deluxe suite with access to the executive lounge. There were 2 adults and 3 kids. We were afraid that the hotel wont be able to accomodate. Thus, we contacted the hotel before our check in to confirm. The staffs …
The staffs are all cheerful and greets every time you walk in or out. They are always ready and prompt to attend to your needs.
The Hotel room itself was nice and posh with a great view. The breakfast was great , the staff are attentive to your needs and recommends what to try.
Would really recommend this hotel.
I would say the best executive club lounge in sg.
Great selection of food and alcohol (free flow)
Needless to say, service staff were extremely attentive and warm. Especially Hazel who took special care of us in the lounge. …
The 18 floor swimming pool water was extremely cold. I booked time slot from 1pm to 2pm (16 Jan 2022). I stayed for 10 minutes and went off, couldnt stand the cold water. If the swimming pool have a warmer to warm the water would be great
I’ll be honest, I don’t do staycation. After 2 years of pandemic, I decided to give it a try. What could go wrong? Afterall, it’s a category 6 JW Marriott property. I was proven so wrong. …
To begin with, the staff were very kind and their generous hospitality was evident. However, the rooms were a dread. The room had its wallpaper and paintings detaching from the wall, the bed linens smelled like rotten food, not to mention the small sizes of the bed.
I did not have a good experience at the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach. As an Elite member of Marriott, I was shocked at the overall experience. The check-in was very forced and transactional with judging looks at us. I specifically picked this hotel due to the glowing reviews but wow…
1. Rooms are tiny. Imagine NYC size for the super high price charged. For a couple, the room design was so bad – I couldn’t avoid running into my husband to navigate around the room. More than half of the room was the giant bathroom with space for an unnecessary bathtub and zero space for toiletries. Then the cut out that connect the bathroom and the rest of the room??? I’d rather have more space to walk around the bed…
2. Lobby was underwhelming. The person who greeted us assumed we weren’t a couple because we were of different races…. and asked if we each had our reservations. That’s the first impression of a 5-star hotel??? The bellman was so confused. We were OK with letting him take our bags but after multiple struggles with his English, we gave up and took our own luggage to the room.
The saving grace was the staff at the Club Lounge and the location of the hotel.
After multiple disappointments, I had to cancel the rest of the stay and switched over to a top tier hotel of a different chain 10min away. And they treated us so much nicer even though I didn’t have top status at the other chain. This decision saved our first ever trip to Singapore.
The room was clean & has a nice sea view. The bath tub was big enough and love the rain shower. …
Absolutely fantastic place to have staycation. Last year, the booking was postponed a few times and ultimately cancelled due to the pandemic restrictions. Felt so blessed that I am able to celebrate my special day in staycation this year. Highly recommended awesome JW Marriott for stay.
First visit to here , the bellman the front desk staff the housekeeper, all of them was giving their 100% of effort and kindness to assist for any inquiry of me. From a small matter to big, they can serve it perfectly! …
Not too bad of a stay, considering the views of the Bay was pretty good and the size of the suite was quite generous. A tad pity the variety of food in the lounge and the breakfast is limited because of the covid pandemic. The spa facilities are very new and good and loved the gym and the great view of the pool.
The misses of the stay was I thought the hotel is rather new so the condition of the hotel should be pretty good but there were some areas which were not. Cracks on the floor seems to be hastily patched and the blinds don’t seem to be lowered properly.
Service of the staff could be improved. I was talking to a staff at the reception and she was walking away as she was trying to reply me.
Breakfast was limited (I could understand) but the waffles served was hard and cold.
Am a fan of Marriott hope these would be better for a next visit.
spent the sg rediscover voucher for this staycay and it was the best decision ever! really enjoyed my stay! the dinner at akira back and madame fan exceeded our expectations! breakfast was really yummy too! would recommend anyone who needs a get away with good food.
While most facilities are closed due to tighten covid measures, the true spirit of your team truly shines. From Mr Talget & Ms Rebecca at Reception to especially, Mr Abu Bakar Mohamed Ali from Beach Road Kitchen. They made special efforts …
JW Marriot is a great place to spend quality bonding moment with family this holidays. The location, the pool, the daily breakfast, the modern & spacious family room, the service, all good! Most importantly, the kids were happy, went home with smile in their faces and enjoyed our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful family staycation.
Highlights:
Service level in the Executive Lounge was spectacular. Cora, Hazel, Antonio, Irene, even part-timer staff Emmanuel were phenomenal. They remembered me from my …
